1 And he entered again into a synagogue, and there-was there, a man having, his hand, withered;

2 and they were narrowly watching him, whether, on the Sabbath, he would cure him, that they might accuse him.
sa vi"sraamavaare tamarogi. na. m kari. syati navetyatra bahavastam apavaditu. m chidramapek. sitavanta. h|
3 And he saith unto the man who hath his hand withered, Arise into the midst!
tadaa sa ta. m "su. skahasta. m manu. sya. m jagaada madhyasthaane tvamutti. s.tha|
4 and saith unto them—Is it allowed, on the Sabbath, to do good, or to do evil? To, save, life, or, to slay? but they remained silent.
tata. h para. m sa taan papraccha vi"sraamavaare hitamahita. m tathaa hi praa. narak. saa vaa praa. nanaa"sa e. saa. m madhye ki. m kara. niiya. m? kintu te ni. h"sabdaastasthu. h|
5 And, looking round upon them with anger, being at the same time grieved on account of the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man—Stretch forth thy hand! and he stretched it forth, and his hand, was restored.
tadaa sa te. saamanta. hkara. naanaa. m kaa. thinyaaddheto rdu. hkhita. h krodhaat cartuda"so d. r.s. tavaan ta. m maanu. sa. m gaditavaan ta. m hasta. m vistaaraya, tatastena haste vist. rte taddhasto. anyahastavad arogo jaata. h|
6 And, the Pharisees, going out straightway with the Herodians, were giving counsel against him, that they should, destroy, him.
atha phiruu"sina. h prasthaaya ta. m naa"sayitu. m herodiiyai. h saha mantrayitumaarebhire|
7 And, Jesus, with his disciples, retired unto the sea; and, a great throng from Galilee, followed, also from Judaea,
ataeva yii"sustatsthaana. m parityajya "si. syai. h saha puna. h saagarasamiipa. m gata. h;
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and around Tyre and Zidon, a great throng, hearing whatsoever things he was doing, came unto him.
tato gaaliilyihuudaa-yiruu"saalam-idom-yardannadiipaarasthaanebhyo lokasamuuhastasya pa"scaad gata. h; tadanya. h sorasiidano. h samiipavaasilokasamuuha"sca tasya mahaakarmma. naa. m vaartta. m "srutvaa tasya sannidhimaagata. h|
9 And he spake unto his disciples that a little boat might attend him, because of the multitude, —that they might not be pressing upon him.
tadaa lokasamuuha"scet tasyopari patati ityaa"sa"nkya sa naavamekaa. m nika. te sthaapayitu. m "si. syaanaadi. s.tavaan|
10 For he cured many, so that they were besieging him, that they might touch him—as many as had plagues;
yato. anekamanu. syaa. naamaarogyakara. naad vyaadhigrastaa. h sarvve ta. m spra. s.tu. m paraspara. m balena yatnavanta. h|
11 and the impure spirits, as soon as they beheld him, were falling down to him, and crying aloud, while he was speaking, Thou, art the Son of God!
apara nca apavitrabhuutaasta. m d. r.s. tvaa taccara. nayo. h patitvaa procai. h procu. h, tvamii"svarasya putra. h|
12 and sternly was he rebuking them, lest they should make him manifest.
kintu sa taan d. r.dham aaj naapya sva. m paricaayitu. m ni. siddhavaan|
13 And he goeth up into the mountain and calleth near whom, he, pleased, —and they went away unto him;
anantara. m sa parvvatamaaruhya ya. m ya. m praticchaa ta. m tamaahuutavaan tataste tatsamiipamaagataa. h|
14 and he appointed a twelve, whom also he named, Apostles, —that they might be with him, and that he might be sending them forth to make proclamation,
tadaa sa dvaada"sajanaan svena saha sthaatu. m susa. mvaadapracaaraaya preritaa bhavitu. m
15 and to have authority to cast out the demons;
sarvvaprakaaravyaadhiinaa. m "samanakara. naaya prabhaava. m praaptu. m bhuutaan tyaajayitu nca niyuktavaan|
16 and he appointed the twelve (and imposed a name on Simon—) Peter,
te. saa. m naamaaniimaani, "simon sivadiputro
17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (and imposed on them a name—Boanerges, that is, sons of thunder);
yaakuub tasya bhraataa yohan ca aandriya. h philipo barthalamaya. h,
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the zealot;
mathii thomaa ca aalphiiyaputro yaakuub thaddiiya. h kinaaniiya. h "simon yasta. m parahaste. svarpayi. syati sa ii. skariyotiiyayihuudaa"sca|
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also delivered him up. And he cometh into a house;
sa "simone pitara ityupanaama dadau yaakuubyohanbhyaa. m ca binerigi"s arthato meghanaadaputraavityupanaama dadau|
20 and the multitude come together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
anantara. m te nive"sana. m gataa. h, kintu tatraapi punarmahaan janasamaagamo. abhavat tasmaatte bhoktumapyavakaa"sa. m na praaptaa. h|
21 And they who were near to him, hearing of it, went out to secure him, —for they were saying—He is beside himself!
tatastasya suh. rllokaa imaa. m vaarttaa. m praapya sa hataj naanobhuud iti kathaa. m kathayitvaa ta. m dh. rtvaanetu. m gataa. h|
22 And, the Scribes who from Jerusalem had come down, were saying—He hath, Beelzebul; and—In the ruler of the demons, casteth he out the demons.
apara nca yiruu"saalama aagataa ye ye. adhyaapakaaste jagaduraya. m puru. so bhuutapatyaabi. s.tastena bhuutapatinaa bhuutaan tyaajayati|
23 And, calling them near, in parables, began he to say unto them—How can, Satan, cast, Satan out?
tatastaanaahuuya yii"su rd. r.s. taantai. h kathaa. m kathitavaan "saitaan katha. m "saitaana. m tyaajayitu. m "saknoti?
24 And, if a kingdom against itself be divided, that kingdom cannot be made to stand;
ki ncana raajya. m yadi svavirodhena p. rthag bhavati tarhi tad raajya. m sthira. m sthaatu. m na "saknoti|
25 And, if a house against itself be divided, the house shall be unable to stand;
tathaa kasyaapi parivaaro yadi paraspara. m virodhii bhavati tarhi sopi parivaara. h sthira. m sthaatu. m na "saknoti|
26 And, if, Satan, hath risen up against himself, and become divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
tadvat "saitaan yadi svavipak. satayaa utti. s.than bhinno bhavati tarhi sopi sthira. m sthaatu. m na "saknoti kintuucchinno bhavati|
27 But, no one is able into the house of the mighty one to enter, and, his spoils, to carry off, unless, first the mighty one, he bind, and, then his house, will he plunder!
apara nca prabala. m jana. m prathama. m na baddhaa kopi tasya g. rha. m pravi"sya dravyaa. ni lu. n.thayitu. m na "saknoti, ta. m badvvaiva tasya g. rhasya dravyaa. ni lu. n.thayitu. m "saknoti|
28 Verily, I say unto you—All things shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, —the sins and the profanities wherewithal they shall profane;
atoheto ryu. smabhyamaha. m satya. m kathayaami manu. syaa. naa. m santaanaa yaani yaani paapaanii"svaranindaa nca kurvvanti te. saa. m tatsarvve. saamaparaadhaanaa. m k. samaa bhavitu. m "saknoti,
29 But, whosoever shall revile against the Holy Spirit, hath no forgiveness, unto times age-abiding, —but is guilty of an age-abiding sin: (aiōn , aiōnios )
kintu ya. h ka"scit pavitramaatmaana. m nindati tasyaaparaadhasya k. samaa kadaapi na bhavi. syati sonantada. n.dasyaarho bhavi. syati| (aiōn , aiōnios )
30 because they were saying—An impure spirit, he hath!
tasyaapavitrabhuuto. asti te. saametatkathaaheto. h sa ittha. m kathitavaan|
31 And there come his mother and his brethren, and, standing, outside, they sent unto him, calling him.
atha tasya maataa bhraat. rga. na"scaagatya bahisti. s.thanato lokaan pre. sya tamaahuutavanta. h|
32 And there was sitting around him a multitude, and they say unto him—Lo! thy mother and thy brethren, outside, are seeking thee!
tatastatsannidhau samupavi. s.taa lokaasta. m babhaa. sire pa"sya bahistava maataa bhraatara"sca tvaam anvicchanti|
33 And, answering them, he saith—Who are my mother and my brethren?
tadaa sa taan pratyuvaaca mama maataa kaa bhraataro vaa ke? tata. h para. m sa svamiipopavi. s.taan "si. syaan prati avalokana. m k. rtvaa kathayaamaasa
34 And, looking around on them who, about him, in a circle, were sitting, he saith, See! my mother and my brethren!

35 Whosoever shall do the will of God, the same, is my brother and sister and mother.
ya. h ka"scid ii"svarasye. s.taa. m kriyaa. m karoti sa eva mama bhraataa bhaginii maataa ca|
