Mark 11
1 And, when they are drawing near unto Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, towards the Mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, —
さて、彼らがエルサレムに近づき、オリブの山に沿ったベテパゲ、ベタニヤの附近にきた時、イエスはふたりの弟子をつかわして言われた、
2 and saith unto them—Go your way into the village that is over against you, and, straightway, as ye are entering it, ye shall find a colt tied, upon which, no, man, yet, hath sat: loose him, and bring him.
「むこうの村へ行きなさい。そこにはいるとすぐ、まだだれも乗ったことのないろばの子が、つないであるのを見るであろう。それを解いて引いてきなさい。
3 And, if anyone unto you should say—Why are ye doing this? say—The Lord, of him hath need; and, straightway, he sendeth him off again here.
もし、だれかがあなたがたに、なぜそんな事をするのかと言ったなら、主がお入り用なのです。またすぐ、ここへ返してくださいますと、言いなさい」。
4 And they departed, and found a colt, tied unto a door outside, on the street, —and they are loosing him.
そこで、彼らは出かけて行き、そして表通りの戸口に、ろばの子がつないであるのを見たので、それを解いた。
5 And, certain of them that were there standing, were saying unto them—What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
すると、そこに立っていた人々が言った、「そのろばの子を解いて、どうするのか」。
6 and they said unto them as, Jesus, said, —and they let them go.
弟子たちは、イエスが言われたとおり彼らに話したので、ゆるしてくれた。
7 And they bring the colt unto Jesus, and throw upon him their mantles, —and he took his seat upon him.
そこで、弟子たちは、そのろばの子をイエスのところに引いてきて、自分たちの上着をそれに投げかけると、イエスはその上にお乗りになった。
8 And, many, spread out, their mantles, along the way, and, others, young branches, —cutting them out of the fields.
すると多くの人々は自分たちの上着を道に敷き、また他の人々は葉のついた枝を野原から切ってきて敷いた。
9 And, they who were going before, and they who were following after, were crying aloud—Hosanna! Blessed, is he that is coming in the name of the Lord!
そして、前に行く者も、あとに従う者も共に叫びつづけた、「ホサナ、主の御名によってきたる者に、祝福あれ。
10 Blessed, is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!
今きたる、われらの父ダビデの国に、祝福あれ。いと高き所に、ホサナ」。
11 And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple, and, looking round on all things, late already being the hour, he went out into Bethany, with the twelve.
こうしてイエスはエルサレムに着き、宮にはいられた。そして、すべてのものを見まわった後、もはや時もおそくなっていたので、十二弟子と共にベタニヤに出て行かれた。
12 And, on the morrow, when they came forth from Bethany, he hungered;
翌日、彼らがベタニヤから出かけてきたとき、イエスは空腹をおぼえられた。
13 and, seeing a fig-tree from afar, having leaves, he came… if, therefore, he should find aught in it, and, coming up to it, nothing, found he, save, leaves; for it was not, the season, of figs.
そして、葉の茂ったいちじくの木を遠くからごらんになって、その木に何かありはしないかと近寄られたが、葉のほかは何も見当らなかった。いちじくの季節でなかったからである。
14 And, answering, he said unto it—No more, unto times age-abiding, let anyone of thee, eat fruit. And his disciples were listening. (aiōn g165)
そこで、イエスはその木にむかって、「今から後いつまでも、おまえの実を食べる者がないように」と言われた。弟子たちはこれを聞いていた。 (aiōn g165)
15 And they come into Jerusalem. And, entering into the temple, he began to be casting out them who were selling and them who were buying in the temple, and, the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them who were selling doves, he overthrew, —
それから、彼らはエルサレムにきた。イエスは宮に入り、宮の庭で売り買いしていた人々を追い出しはじめ、両替人の台や、はとを売る者の腰掛をくつがえし、
16 and was not suffering that anyone should carry a vessel through the temple;
また器ものを持って宮の庭を通り抜けるのをお許しにならなかった。
17 and was teaching, and saying—Is it not written, My house, a house of prayer, shall be called, for all the nations? but, ye, have made it, A den of robbers.
そして、彼らに教えて言われた、「『わたしの家は、すべての国民の祈の家ととなえらるべきである』と書いてあるではないか。それだのに、あなたがたはそれを強盗の巣にしてしまった」。
18 And the High-priests and the Scribes, heard, it, and began seeking how they might, destroy, him, —for they were fearing him; for, all the multitude, were being struck with astonishment at his teaching.
祭司長、律法学者たちはこれを聞いて、どうかしてイエスを殺そうと計った。彼らは、群衆がみなその教に感動していたので、イエスを恐れていたからである。
19 And, as soon as it became late, they were going forth outside the city.
夕方になると、イエスと弟子たちとは、いつものように都の外に出て行った。
20 And, passing by early, they saw the fig-tree, withered from its roots;
朝はやく道をとおっていると、彼らは先のいちじくが根元から枯れているのを見た。
21 and, put in mind, Peter saith unto him—Rabbi! see! the fig-tree which thou didst curse, is withered.
そこで、ペテロは思い出してイエスに言った、「先生、ごらんなさい。あなたがのろわれたいちじくが、枯れています」。
22 And, answering, Jesus saith unto them—Have faith in God.
イエスは答えて言われた、「神を信じなさい。
23 Verily, I say unto you—Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be lifted up, and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that, what he speaketh, cometh to pass, it shall be his.
よく聞いておくがよい。だれでもこの山に、動き出して、海の中にはいれと言い、その言ったことは必ず成ると、心に疑わないで信じるなら、そのとおりに成るであろう。
24 For this cause, I say unto you—All things, whatsoever ye are praying for and asking, believe that ye have received, and they shall be yours.
そこで、あなたがたに言うが、なんでも祈り求めることは、すでにかなえられたと信じなさい。そうすれば、そのとおりになるであろう。
25 And, when ye stand praying, forgive, if aught ye have against any, —that, your Father also, who is in the heavens, may forgive you your offences.
また立って祈るとき、だれかに対して、何か恨み事があるならば、ゆるしてやりなさい。そうすれば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださるであろう。〔
もしゆるさないならば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださらないであろう〕」。
27 And they come again into Jerusalem. And, as he is walking in the temple, the High-priests and the Scribes and the Elders come unto him,
彼らはまたエルサレムにきた。そして、イエスが宮の内を歩いておられると、祭司長、律法学者、長老たちが、みもとにきて言った、
28 and were saying unto him—By what authority, these things, art thou doing? And who to thee hath given this authority that, these things, thou shouldst be doing?
「何の権威によってこれらの事をするのですか。だれが、そうする権威を授けたのですか」。
29 But, Jesus, said unto them—I will question you, as to one matter, and answer me, —and I will tell you, by what authority, these things, I am doing:
そこで、イエスは彼らに言われた、「一つだけ尋ねよう。それに答えてほしい。そうしたら、何の権威によって、わたしがこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言おう。
30 The immersion by John, Of heaven, was it, or, of men? Answer me!
ヨハネのバプテスマは天からであったか、人からであったか、答えなさい」。
31 And they were deliberating among themselves, saying—If we say, Of heaven, he will say, Wherefore [then] did ye not believe him?
すると、彼らは互に論じて言った、「もし天からだと言えば、では、なぜ彼を信じなかったのか、とイエスは言うだろう。
32 But, should we say, Of men…, they were in fear of the multitude, for, one and all, were holding John, in very deed, that he was, a prophet.
しかし、人からだと言えば……」。彼らは群衆を恐れていた。人々が皆、ヨハネを預言者だとほんとうに思っていたからである。
33 And, making answer unto Jesus, they say—We know not; and Jesus saith unto them—Neither do, I, tell you, by what authority, these things, I am doing.
それで彼らは「わたしたちにはわかりません」と答えた。するとイエスは言われた、「わたしも何の権威によってこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言うまい」。
