Malachi 2
1 Now, therefore, for you, is this charge, O ye priests: —
Ary ankehitriny, ry mpisorona, dia ho aminareo izao didy izao:
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my Name, saith Yahweh of hosts, then will I send among you the curse, and will curse your blessings, —and indeed I have cursed them, because ye are not at all laying it to heart.
Raha tsy hihaino na handatsaka am-po ka hanome voninahitra ny anarako ianareo, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, dia halefako hamely anareo ny ozona, ka hozoniko ny tso-drano ataonareo; eny, efa voaozoko sahady izany, satria tsy nandatsaka am-po ianareo.
3 Behold me! threatening, on your account, the seed, and I will scatter refuse upon your faces, the refuse of your festivals, —and one shall carry you away unto it;
Indro, hasiako teny mafy ny voa afafinareo, ary hofafazako tain-droroha ny tavanareo, dia ny tain-droroha avy amin’ ny andro firavoravoanareo; ary hailika miaraka aminy ianareo.
4 So shall ye know that I sent unto you this charge, —as being my covenant with Levi, saith Yahweh of hosts.
Dia ho fantatrareo fa nampitondra izany didy izany ho aminareo Aho, mba haharetan’ ny fanekeko amin’ i Levy, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro.
5 My covenant, was with him, Life and Well-being, so I gave them to him—[I] as One to be revered— and he did revere me, — and, before my Name, dismayed, was he.
Ny fanekeko taminy dia fiainana sy fiadanana; ary nomeko azy ho fahatahorana izany, ka dia natahotra Ahy sy nangovitra teo anatrehan’ ny anarako izy.
6 The deliverance of truth, was in his mouth, and, perverseness, was not found in his lips, — In well-doing and in uprightness, walked he with me, and, multitudes, did he turn from iniquity.
Ny lalàn’ ny fahamarinana no teo am-bavany, ary tsy mba nisy tsi-fahamarinana teo amin’ ny molony; tamin’ ny fiadanana sy ny fahitsiana no niarahany nandeha tamiko, ary maro no nampialainy tamin’ ny heloka.
7 For, the lips of a priest, should keep knowledge, and, a deliverance, should men seek at his mouth, — for, the messenger of Yahweh of hosts, he is.
Fa ny molotry ny mpisorona tokony hitahiry fahalalana, ary ny lalàna hotadiavina eo am-bavany, satria irak’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, izy.
8 But, ye, have departed out of the way, ye have caused multitudes to stumble at the deliverance, — ye have violated the covenant of Levi, saith Yahweh of hosts.
Fa ianareo kosa dia efa nivily lalana sady nampahatafintohina olona maro ny amin’ ny lalàna ary namadika ny fanekena amin’ i Levy, hoy Jehovah; Tompon’ ny maro.
9 Therefore, I also, will suffer you to be despised and of no account unto all the people, —in proportion as none of you have been keeping my ways, but have had respect to persons, in giving your deliverance.
Ary Izaho kosa dia efa nanolotra anareo ho fanazimbazimba sy ho fanao tsinontsinona eo anatrehan’ ny vahoaka rehetra, noho ny tsy nitandremanareo ny lalako sy ny nizahanareo tavan’ olona ny amin’ ny lalàna.
10 Is there not, one Father, to us all? Did not, one GOD, create us? Wherefore should we deal treacherously one with another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Tsy mpiombon-dray va isika rehetra? Tsy Andriamanitra iray ihany va no nahary antsika? Koa nahoana no samy mivadika amin’ ny rahalahintsika avy isika ka mamadika ny fanekena tamin’ ny razantsika?
11 Judah, hath dealt treacherously, and, an abomination, hath been wrought in Israel, and in Jerusalem, — for Judah, had profaned, the holy place of Yahweh, which he had loved, and hath taken to himself the daughter of a foreign GOD.
Ny Joda efa namitaka, ary misy fahavetavetana atao ao amin’ ny Isiraely sy ao Jerosalema; fa ny Joda efa nandoto ny fitoera-masin’ i Jehovah, izay tiany, sady efa nanambady ny zanaka-vavin’ ny andriamani-kafa.
12 May Yahweh, cut off, from the man that doeth it—him that crieth out and him that answereth, out of the tents of Jacob, — him also that bringeth near a present to Yahweh of hosts.
Enga anie ka hofongoran’ i Jehovah hiala amin’ ny lain’ i Jakoba ny lehilahy izay manao izany, na iza na iza, sy izay manatitra fanatitra ho an’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro.
13 And, this, a second time, will ye do, covering with tears, the altar of Yahweh, weeping and making outcry, —because he will not again turn unto the gift, and receive [it] with acceptance, at your hands?
Ary faharoan’ izany, dia izao koa no ataonareo: Saronanareo ranomaso sy fitomaniana ary fisentoana ny alitaran’ i Jehovah, ka tsy mba jereny intsony ny fanatitra, ary tsy handray fankasitrahana avy amin’ ny tananareo Izy.
14 Yet ye say, For what cause? Because, Yahweh, hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, with whom, thou, hast dealt treacherously, though, she, was thy consort, and thy covenant wife.
Nefa hoy ianareo: Nahoana? Satria Jehovah no vavolombelona ny aminao sy ny vadin’ ny fahatanoranao izay nofitahinao, na dia namanao sady vady efa vita fanekena taminao aza izy.
15 Now was it not, One, [who] made [you] who had, the residue of the spirit? What, then, of that One? He was seeking a godly seed. Therefore should ye take heed to your spirit, and, with the wife of thy youth, do not thou deal treacherously.
Moa tsy nisy anankiray nanao izany va, nefa mbola nanam-panahy ihany? Fa inona andrefa no notadiavin’ ilay anankiray? Taranaka araka an’ Andriamanitra. Koa dia tandremo ny fanahinareo, ary aoka tsy hisy hamitaka ny vadin’ ny fahatanorany.
16 For he hateth divorce, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, him also who covereth with violence his own clothing, saith Yahweh of hosts, —therefore should ye take heed to your spirit, and not deal treacherously.
Fa halako ny fisaoram-bady, hoy Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, sy ny fanosenana fampahoriana amin’ ny fitafiany, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro; koa tandremo ny fanahinareo, ary aza mamitaka ianareo.
17 Ye have wearied Yahweh with your words, and yet ye say, Wherein have we been wearisome? When ye have said, Everyone who doeth wrong, is right in the eyes of Yahweh, and, in them, he hath taken delight, or, Where is the God of justice?
Efa manasatra an’ i Jehovah amin’ ny teninareo ianareo. Nefa hoy ianareo: Amin’ inona moa no anasaranay Azy? Amin’ ny fanaovanareo hoe: Izay rehetra manao ratsy dia tsara eo imason’ i Jehovah ka ankasitrahany, na amin’ ny hoe: Aiza Andriamanitry ny fitsarana?
