Luke 5
1 And it came to pass, while the multitude was pressing upon him, and was hearing the word of God, that, he, was standing near the lake of Gennesaret;
| وَإِذْ كَانَ ٱلْجَمْعُ يَزْدَحِمُ عَلَيْهِ لِيَسْمَعَ كَلِمَةَ ٱللهِ، كَانَ وَاقِفًا عِنْدَ بُحَيْرَةِ جَنِّيسَارَتَ. | ١ |
2 and he saw two boats placed near the lake, and, the fishers, having gone away, from them, were washing their nets.
| فَرَأَى سَفِينَتَيْنِ وَاقِفَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ ٱلْبُحَيْرَةِ، وَٱلصَّيَّادُونَ قَدْ خَرَجُوا مِنْهُمَا وَغَسَلُوا ٱلشِّبَاكَ. | ٢ |
3 And, entering into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, he requested him, to put off from the land, a little; and, taking a seat, out of the boat, began he teaching the multitudes.
| فَدَخَلَ إِحْدَى ٱلسَّفِينَتَيْنِ ٱلَّتِي كَانَتْ لِسِمْعَانَ، وَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُبْعِدَ قَلِيلًا عَنِ ٱلْبَرِّ. ثُمَّ جَلَسَ وَصَارَ يُعَلِّمُ ٱلْجُمُوعَ مِنَ ٱلسَّفِينَةِ. | ٣ |
4 And, when he ceased speaking, he said unto Simon—Put off into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
| وَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ ٱلْكَلَامِ قَالَ لِسِمْعَانَ: «ٱبْعُدْ إِلَى ٱلْعُمْقِ وَأَلْقُوا شِبَاكَكُمْ لِلصَّيْدِ». | ٤ |
5 And Simon, answering, said—Master! although through the whole night we toiled, we took, nothing; howbeit, at thy bidding, I will let down the nets.
| فَأَجَابَ سِمْعَانُ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «يَا مُعَلِّمُ، قَدْ تَعِبْنَا ٱللَّيْلَ كُلَّهُ وَلَمْ نَأْخُذْ شَيْئًا. وَلَكِنْ عَلَى كَلِمَتِكَ أُلْقِي ٱلشَّبَكَةَ». | ٥ |
6 And, when this they had done, they enclosed a very large number of fishes, and their nets began to break.
| وَلَمَّا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ أَمْسَكُوا سَمَكًا كَثِيرًا جِدًّا، فَصَارَتْ شَبَكَتُهُمْ تَتَخَرَّقُ. | ٦ |
7 And they made signs to their partners in the other boat, to come and help them; and they came, and filled both the boats, —so that they began to sink.
| فَأَشَارُوا إِلَى شُرَكَائِهِمُ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلسَّفِينَةِ ٱلْأُخْرَى أَنْ يَأْتُوا وَيُسَاعِدُوهُمْ. فَأَتَوْا وَمَلَأُوا ٱلسَّفِينَتَيْنِ حَتَّى أَخَذَتَا فِي ٱلْغَرَقِ. | ٧ |
8 And Simon, beholding, fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying—Depart from me! Because, a sinful man, am I, O Lord!
| فَلَمَّا رَأَى سِمْعَانُ بُطْرُسُ ذَلِكَ خَرَّ عِنْدَ رُكْبَتَيْ يَسُوعَ قَائِلًا: «ٱخْرُجْ مِنْ سَفِينَتِي يَارَبُّ، لِأَنِّي رَجُلٌ خَاطِئٌ!». | ٨ |
9 For, amazement, overcame him, and all them who were with him, on account of the draught of the fishes which they had taken;
| إِذِ ٱعْتَرَتْهُ وَجمِيعَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُ دَهْشَةٌ عَلَى صَيْدِ ٱلسَّمَكِ ٱلَّذِي أَخَذُوهُ. | ٩ |
10 likewise also, both James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon—Do not fear! henceforth, shall thou be taking, men, that they may, live.
| وَكَذَلِكَ أَيْضًا يَعْقُوبُ وَيُوحَنَّا ٱبْنَا زَبَدِي ٱللَّذَانِ كَانَا شَرِيكَيْ سِمْعَانَ. فَقَالَ يَسُوعُ لِسِمْعَانَ: «لَاتَخَفْ! مِنَ ٱلْآنَ تَكُونُ تَصْطَادُ ٱلنَّاسَ!». | ١٠ |
11 And, bringing the boats down on to the land, they left all, and followed him.
| وَلَمَّا جَاءُوا بِٱلسَّفِينَتَيْنِ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ تَرَكُوا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَتَبِعُوهُ. | ١١ |
12 And it came to pass, while he was in one of the cities, that lo! there was a man full of leprosy; and, seeing Jesus, he fell on his face, and entreated him, saying—Lord! if thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me.
| وَكَانَ فِي إِحْدَى ٱلْمُدُنِ، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مَمْلُوءٌ بَرَصًا. فَلَمَّا رَأَى يَسُوعَ خَرَّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ وَطَلَبَ إِلَيْهِ قَائِلًا: «يَا سَيِّدُ، إِنْ أَرَدْتَ تَقْدِرْ أَنْ تُطَهِّرَنِي». | ١٢ |
13 And, stretching forth the hand, he touched him, saying—I am willing: Be cleansed! And, straightway, the leprosy departed from him.
| فَمَدَّ يَدَهُ وَلَمَسَهُ قَائِلًا: «أُرِيدُ، فَٱطْهُرْ!». وَلِلْوَقْتِ ذَهَبَ عَنْهُ ٱلْبَرَصُ. | ١٣ |
14 And, he, charged him to tell, no one, —but, departing, Show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses enjoined, for a witness unto them.
| فَأَوْصَاهُ أَنْ لَا يَقُولَ لِأَحَدٍ. بَلِ «ٱمْضِ وَأَرِ نَفْسَكَ لِلْكَاهِنِ، وَقَدِّمْ عَنْ تَطْهِيرِكَ كَمَا أَمَرَ مُوسَى شَهَادَةً لَهُمْ». | ١٤ |
15 But the report concerning him the more went abroad, and many multitudes were coming together, to hear, and be getting cured from their infirmities;
| فَذَاعَ ٱلْخَبَرُ عَنْهُ أَكْثَرَ. فَٱجْتَمَعَ جُمُوعٌ كَثِيرَةٌ لِكَيْ يَسْمَعُوا وَيُشْفَوْا بِهِ مِنْ أَمْرَاضِهِمْ. | ١٥ |
16 howbeit, he, was retiring in the deserts, and engaging in prayer.
| وَأَمَّا هُوَ فَكَانَ يَعْتَزِلُ فِي ٱلْبَرَارِي وَيُصَلِّي. | ١٦ |
17 And it came to pass, on one of the days, that, he, was teaching, and there were sitting Pharisees and Teachers of the law, who had come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem; and, the power of the Lord, was there, that he might heal.
| وَفِي أَحَدِ ٱلْأَيَّامِ كَانَ يُعَلِّمُ، وَكَانَ فَرِّيسِيُّونَ وَمُعَلِّمُونَ لِلنَّامُوسِ جَالِسِينَ وَهُمْ قَدْ أَتَوْا مِنْ كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ مِنَ ٱلْجَلِيلِ وَٱلْيَهُودِيَّةِ وَأُورُشَلِيمَ. وَكَانَتْ قُوَّةُ ٱلرَّبِّ لِشِفَائِهِمْ. | ١٧ |
18 And lo! men bearing, upon a couch, one who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in, and lay him before him.
| وَإِذَا بِرِجَالٍ يَحْمِلُونَ عَلَى فِرَاشٍ إِنْسَانًا مَفْلُوجًا، وَكَانُوا يَطْلُبُونَ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا بِهِ وَيَضَعُوهُ أَمَامَهُ. | ١٨ |
19 And, not finding by what means they might bring him in, because of the multitude, going up on the house-top, through the tiling, let they him down, with the little-couch, into the midst before Jesus.
| وَلَمَّا لَمْ يَجِدُوا مِنْ أَيْنَ يَدْخُلُونَ بِهِ لِسَبَبِ ٱلْجَمْعِ، صَعِدُوا عَلَى ٱلسَّطْحِ وَدَلَّوْهُ مَعَ ٱلْفِرَاشِ مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلْأَجُرِّ إِلَى ٱلْوَسْطِ قُدَّامَ يَسُوعَ. | ١٩ |
20 And, beholding their faith, he said—O man! thy sins are forgiven thee.
| فَلَمَّا رَأَى إِيمَانَهُمْ قَالَ لَهُ: «أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنْسَانُ، مَغْفُورَةٌ لَكَ خَطَايَاكَ». | ٢٠ |
21 And the Scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying—Who is this that speaketh profanities? Who can forgive, sins, save, God alone?
| فَٱبْتَدَأَ ٱلْكَتَبَةُ وَٱلْفَرِّيسِيُّونَ يُفَكِّرُونَ قَائِلِينَ «مَنْ هَذَا ٱلَّذِي يَتَكَلَّمُ بِتَجَادِيفَ؟ مَنْ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ خَطَايَا إِلَّا ٱللهُ وَحْدَهُ؟». | ٢١ |
22 And Jesus, taking note of their reasonings, answering, said unto them—Why are ye reasoning in your hearts?
| فَشَعَرَ يَسُوعُ بِأَفْكَارِهِمْ، وَأَجَابَ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «مَاذَا تُفَكِّرُونَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ؟ | ٢٢ |
23 Which is easier, To say—Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say—Arise and be walking?
| أَيُّمَا أَيْسَرُ: أَنْ يُقَالَ: مَغْفُورَةٌ لَكَ خَطَايَاكَ، أَمْ أَنْ يُقَالَ: قُمْ وَٱمْشِ؟ | ٢٣ |
24 But, that ye may know that, the Son of Man, hath, authority, upon the earth to forgive sins—he said to the paralyzed man—To thee, I say, Arise, and, taking up thy couch, be going thy way unto thy house.
| وَلَكِنْ لِكَيْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ لِٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ سُلْطَانًا عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ ٱلْخَطَايَا»، قَالَ لِلْمَفْلُوجِ: «لَكَ أَقُولُ: قُمْ وَٱحْمِلْ فِرَاشَكَ وَٱذْهَبْ إِلَى بَيْتِكَ!». | ٢٤ |
25 And, instantly arising before them, he took up that whereon he had been lying, and departed unto his house, glorifying God.
| فَفِي ٱلْحَالِ قَامَ أَمَامَهُمْ، وَحَمَلَ مَا كَانَ مُضْطَجِعًا عَلَيْهِ، وَمَضَى إِلَى بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ يُمَجِّدُ ٱللهَ. | ٢٥ |
26 And, astonishment, seized one and all, and they began glorifying God, and were filled with fear, saying—We have seen unaccountable things, to-day!
| فَأَخَذَتِ ٱلْجَمِيعَ حَيْرَةٌ وَمَجَّدُوا ٱللهَ، وَٱمْتَلَأُوا خَوْفًا قَائِلِينَ: «إِنَّنَا قَدْ رَأَيْنَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَجَائِبَ!». | ٢٦ |
27 And, after these things, he went forth, and looked upon a tax-collector, by name Levi, —presiding over the tax-office; and he said to him—Be following me!
| وَبَعْدَ هَذَا خَرَجَ فَنَظَرَ عَشَّارًا ٱسْمُهُ لَاوِي جَالِسًا عِنْدَ مَكَانِ ٱلْجِبَايَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: «ٱتْبَعْنِي». | ٢٧ |
28 And, forsaking all, he arose, and was following him.
| فَتَرَكَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَقَامَ وَتَبِعَهُ. | ٢٨ |
29 And Levi made a great reception for him, in his house, and there was a great multitude of tax-collectors, and others, —who were with them reclining.
| وَصَنَعَ لَهُ لَاوِي ضِيَافَةً كَبِيرَةً فِي بَيْتِهِ. وَٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا مُتَّكِئِينَ مَعَهُمْ كَانُوا جَمْعًا كَثِيرًا مِنْ عَشَّارِينَ وَآخَرِينَ. | ٢٩ |
30 And the Pharisees and their Scribes began murmuring unto his disciples, saying—Wherefore, with the tax-collectors and sinners, are ye eating and drinking?
| فَتَذَمَّرَ كَتَبَتُهُمْ وَٱلْفَرِّيسِيُّونَ عَلَى تَلَامِيذِهِ قَائِلِينَ: «لِمَاذَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَتَشْرَبُونَ مَعَ عَشَّارِينَ وَخُطَاةٍ؟». | ٣٠ |
31 And, answering, Jesus said unto them—No need, have, the whole, of a physician, but, they who are sick.
| فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «لَا يَحْتَاجُ ٱلْأَصِحَّاءُ إِلَى طَبِيبٍ، بَلِ ٱلْمَرْضَى. | ٣١ |
32 I have not come to call, righteous, men, but, sinners, unto repentance.
| لَمْ آتِ لِأَدْعُوَ أَبْرَارًا بَلْ خُطَاةً إِلَى ٱلتَّوْبَةِ». | ٣٢ |
33 But, they, said unto him—The disciples of John, do fast much, and, supplications, do make, —likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees; but, thine, do eat and drink!
| وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «لِمَاذَا يَصُومُ تَلَامِيذُ يُوحَنَّا كَثِيرًا وَيُقَدِّمُونَ طَلَبَاتٍ، وَكَذَلِكَ تَلَامِيذُ ٱلْفَرِّيسِيِّينَ أَيْضًا، وَأَمَّا تَلَامِيذُكَ فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ؟». | ٣٣ |
34 Jesus, however, said unto them—Can, ye make, the sons of the bridechamber, fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
| فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «أَتَقْدِرُونَ أَنْ تَجْعَلُوا بَنِي ٱلْعُرْسِ يَصُومُونَ مَا دَامَ ٱلْعَرِيسُ مَعَهُمْ؟ | ٣٤ |
35 But there will come days, even when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, then, will they fast, in those days.
| وَلَكِنْ سَتَأْتِي أَيَّامٌ حِينَ يُرْفَعُ ٱلْعَرِيسُ عَنْهُمْ، فَحِينَئِذٍ يَصُومُونَ فِي تِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامِ». | ٣٥ |
36 Moreover, he went on to speak, a parable also, unto them—No one, rending a patch from a new mantle, patcheth it upon an old mantle; otherwise, at least, both, the new, he will rend, and, with the old, the patch which is from the new, will not agree.
| وَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَيْضًا مَثَلًا: «لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَضَعُ رُقْعَةً مِنْ ثَوْبٍ جَدِيدٍ عَلَى ثَوْبٍ عَتِيقٍ، وَإِلَّا فَٱلْجَدِيدُ يَشُقُّهُ، وَٱلْعَتِيقُ لَا تُوافِقُهُ ٱلرُّقْعَةُ ٱلَّتِي مِنَ ٱلْجَدِيدِ. | ٣٦ |
37 And, no one, poureth new wine into old skins; otherwise, at least, the new wine, will burst the skins, and will, itself, be poured out, and the skins be destroyed.
| وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَجْعَلُ خَمْرًا جَدِيدَةً فِي زِقَاقٍ عَتِيقَةٍ لِئَلَّا تَشُقَّ ٱلْخَمْرُ ٱلْجَدِيدَةُ ٱلزِّقَاقَ، فَهِيَ تُهْرَقُ وَٱلزِّقَاقُ تَتْلَفُ. | ٣٧ |
38 But, new wine, into unused skins, must be poured.
| بَلْ يَجْعَلُونَ خَمْرًا جَدِيدَةً فِي زِقَاقٍ جَدِيدَةٍ، فَتُحْفَظُ جَمِيعًا. | ٣٨ |
39 [No one, having drunk old, desireth new; for he saith, The old, is, mellow.]
| وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ إِذَا شَرِبَ ٱلْعَتِيقَ يُرِيدُ لِلْوَقْتِ ٱلْجَدِيدَ، لِأَنَّهُ يَقُولُ: ٱلْعَتِيقُ أَطْيَبُ». | ٣٩ |
