Luke 11
1 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain place praying, as he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him—Lord! teach us to pray, as, John also, taught his disciples.
ஒரு நாள் இயேசு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்தில் மன்றாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் மன்றாடி முடித்தபோது, அவருடைய சீடர்களில் ஒருவன் அவரிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, யோவான் தனது சீடருக்கு மன்றாடப் போதித்ததுபோல, நீரும் எங்களுக்கு மன்றாடப் போதியும்” என்றான்.
2 And he said unto them—Whensoever ye are praying, say—Father! Hallowed be thy name, Come may thy kingdom,
அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் இப்படியாக மன்றாடுங்கள், “‘பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற எங்கள் பிதாவே, உமது பெயர் பரிசுத்தப்படுவதாக. உம்முடைய அரசு வருவதாக. உமது சித்தம் பரலோகத்தில் செய்யப்படுவதுபோல் பூமியிலும் செய்யப்படுவதாக.
3 Our needful bread, be giving us, day by day;
எங்கள் அன்றாட ஆகாரத்தை நாள்தோறும் எங்களுக்குத் தாரும்.
4 And forgive us our sins, for, even we ourselves, forgive every one indebted to us; And bring us not into temptation.
எங்கள் பாவங்களை எங்களுக்கு மன்னியும். நாங்களும் எங்களுக்கு எதிராகக் குற்றம் செய்தவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கிறோமே. எங்களைச் சோதனைக்கு உட்படப்பண்ணாமல். எங்களைத் தீமையிலிருந்து விடுவியும்,’” என்றார்.
5 And he said unto them—Who from among you, shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him—Friend! supply me with three loaves,
அதற்குப் பின்பு இயேசு அவர்களிடம் சொன்னதாவது, “உங்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு ஒரு நண்பன் இருக்கிறான் என வைத்துக்கொள்வோம். இவன் தன் நண்பனிடம் நள்ளிரவில் போய், ‘நண்பனே, எனக்கு மூன்று அப்பங்களைக் கடனாகக் கொடு.
6 forasmuch as, a friend of mine, hath come off a journey unto me, and I have not what I can set before him;
பயணம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கும் எனது நண்பன் ஒருவன், என் வீட்டிற்கு வந்திருக்கிறான். அவனுக்கு உணவு கொடுக்க என்னிடம் ஒன்றும் இல்லை’ என்று சொன்னால்,
7 and, he, from within, shall answer, and say—Be not disturbing me, —already, the door hath been fastened, and, my children, with me, are, in bed: I cannot rise and give thee?
அப்பொழுது உள்ளே இருக்கிற அவன், தன் நண்பனுக்கு மறுமொழியாக, ‘என்னைத் தொந்தரவு செய்யாதே. கதவு ஏற்கெனவே பூட்டப்பட்டுவிட்டது. என் பிள்ளைகளும் என்னோடு படுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். என்னால் எழுந்து, எதையும் உனக்குக் கொடுக்க முடியாது’ என்பானோ?
8 I say unto you—Even though he will not give him, rising because of his being a friend of his, because, at least, of his importunity, he will rouse himself, and give him as many as he needeth.
நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், அவன் தன்னுடைய நண்பனாய் இருப்பதன் நிமித்தம் எழுந்து அப்பத்தைக் கொடுக்காவிட்டாலும், வெட்கப்படாமல் அவன் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருப்பதன் நிமித்தமாவது எழுந்து, அவனுக்குத் தேவையானதைக் கொடுப்பான்.
9 I, therefore, unto you, say—Be asking, and it shall be given to you, Be seeking, and ye shall find, —Be knocking, and it shall be opened unto you.
“ஆகவே, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறதாவது: கேளுங்கள், உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; தேடுங்கள், கண்டுகொள்வீர்கள்; தட்டுங்கள், அப்பொழுது கதவு உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும்.
10 For, whosoever asketh, receiveth, and, he that seeketh, findeth, —and, to him that knocketh, shall it be opened.
ஏனெனில், கேட்கிற ஒவ்வொருவனும் பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறான்; தேடுகிறவர்கள் கண்டடைகின்றனர்; தட்டுகிறவனுக்குக் கதவு திறக்கப்படுகிறது.
11 But which is the father, from among yourselves, whom the son will ask for, a fish, who, instead of a fish, will give him, a serpent?
“உங்களில் தகப்பனாயிருக்கிற ஒருவனிடம் மீனைக் கேட்கும் மகனுக்கு யார் பாம்பைக் கொடுப்பான்?
12 Or shall also ask, an egg, who will give him, a scorpion?
அல்லது அவன் ஒரு முட்டையைக் கேட்டால், யாராவது அவனுக்குத் தேளைக் கொடுப்பானா?
13 If therefore, ye, being, evil, know how to be giving, good gifts, unto your children, how much rather, will, the heavenly Father, give Holy Spirit unto them that ask him!
தீயவர்களாகிய நீங்களே உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நல்ல அன்பளிப்புகளைக் கொடுக்க அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். அப்படியிருக்க, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற உங்கள் பிதா தம்மிடத்தில் கேட்பவர்களுக்கு, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைக் கொடுப்பது எவ்வளவு நிச்சயம்!”
14 And he was casting out a demon that was dumb; and it came to pass, when the demon went out, the dumb began speaking. And the multitudes marvelled;
ஒரு நாள், ஊமையாய் இருந்த ஒருவனிடமிருந்து இயேசு பிசாசை துரத்தினார். பிசாசு பிடித்தவனிலிருந்து பிசாசு வெளியேறியபோது, ஊமையாயிருந்தவன் பேசத் தொடங்கினான். கூடியிருந்த மக்கள் அதைக்கண்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள்.
15 but, some from among them, said—In Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons, is he casting out the demons;
ஆனால் அவர்களில் சிலர், “பிசாசுகளின் தலைவனாகிய பெயல்செபூலினாலேயே இவன் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறான்” என்றார்கள்.
16 and, others, putting him to the test, a sign out of heaven, were seeking from him.
வேறுசிலர் வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காட்டவேண்டுமென்று கேட்டு, அவரைச் சோதித்தார்கள்.
17 But, he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them—Every kingdom, against itself divided, is laid waste, and, a house, against a house, [divided], falleth;
இயேசு அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகளை அறிந்து, அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னதாவது: “தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாய் பிளவுபட்டிருக்கிற எந்த அரசும் பாழாய்ப்போகும். தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாய் பிளவுபட்டிருக்கிற எந்தக் குடும்பமும் விழுந்துபோகும்.
18 And, if, even Satan, against himself hath become divided, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye are saying that, in Beelzebul, am I casting out the demons.
சாத்தான் தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாய்ப் பிளவுபட்டால், எப்படி அவனுடைய அரசு நிலைநிற்கும்? நான் பெயல்செபூலைக் கொண்டு பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறேன் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்வதனாலேயே நான் இதை உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.
19 But, if, I, in Beelzebul, am casting out the demons, In whom are, your sons, casting them out? Wherefore, they, shall be, your judges.
நான் பெயல்செபூலைக் கொண்டு பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தினால், உங்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்கள் யாரைக்கொண்டு பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறார்கள்? அப்படியானால், அவர்களே உங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாய் இருப்பார்கள்.
20 But, if, with the finger of God, I, am casting out the demons, then doubtless unawares hath come upon you, the kingdom of God.
ஆனால், நான் பிசாசுகளை இறைவனுடைய விரலினால் துரத்துகிறேன் என்றால், இறைவனுடைய அரசு உங்களிடம் வந்துள்ளது.
21 Whensoever, the mighty one, armed, may be guarding his own dwelling, in peace, are his goods;
“ஒரு பலமுள்ளவன் ஆயுதம் தாங்கியவனாய் தன் வீட்டைக் காவல் காக்கும்போது, அவனுடைய உடைமைகள் பாதுகாப்பாய் இருக்கும்.
22 But, whensoever, a mightier than he, shall come upon and vanquish him, his panoply, he taketh away, wherein he was trusting, and, his spoils, he distributeth.
இவனைப் பார்க்கிலும் பலமுள்ள வேறொருவன் வந்து இவனைத் தாக்கி மேற்கொள்ளும்போது, அவன் சார்ந்திருந்த எல்லா ஆயுதங்களையும் பறித்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுடைய கொள்ளைப்பொருட்களையும் பங்கிட்டுக் கொள்வான்.
23 He that is not with me, is, against me; and, he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
“என்னோடே இராதவன் எனக்கு எதிராக இருக்கிறான். என்னோடே சேர்க்காதவன் சிதறடிக்கிறான்.
24 Whensoever, the impure spirit, goeth out from the man, it passeth through waterless places, seeking rest; and, not finding it, [then, ] it saith, I will return unto my house, whence I came out; —
“தீய ஆவி ஒரு மனிதனைவிட்டு வெளியேறும்போது, அது வறண்ட இடங்களில் ஓய்வைத் தேடிப்போகிறது, ஆனாலும் அது அந்த ஓய்வைக் கண்டடையாததால், ‘நான் முன்பு விட்டுவந்த வீட்டிற்கே திரும்பவும் போவேன்’ என்று சொல்லும்.
25 and, coming, findeth it, [empty, ] swept, and adorned.
அது அந்த வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பி வரும்பொழுது, அந்த வீடு கூட்டிச் சுத்தப்படுத்தப்பட்டு, ஒழுங்காக இருப்பதைக் காணும்.
26 Then, goeth it, and taketh along with itself, other spirits, more wicked than itself—seven, and, entering in, fixeth its dwelling there; and, the last state of that man, becometh, worse than the first.
அப்பொழுது அந்தத் தீய ஆவி போய், தன்னைப் பார்க்கிலும் பொல்லாத ஏழு தீய ஆவிகளைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுவந்து அவை அங்கேபோய் வசிக்கின்றன. அதனால் அந்த மனிதனின் இறுதி நிலைமை ஆரம்ப நிலைமையைவிட மோசமானதாகும்.”
27 Now it came to pass, while he was saying these things, that a certain woman out of the multitude, lifting up her voice, said unto him—Happy the womb that bare thee! And the breasts which thou didst suck!
இயேசு இந்தக் காரியங்களைச் சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, கூட்டத்திலிருந்து ஒரு பெண் குரலெழுப்பி, “உம்மைப் பெற்றெடுத்துப் பாலூட்டிய தாய் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவள்” என்றாள்.
28 But, he, said—Yea rather!—Happy they who hear the word of God, and observe it!
அவர் அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “ஆம்; ஆனால், இறைவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, அதற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறவர்களே, அதிலும் மேலாக ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்” என்றார்.
29 And, as the multitudes were thronging together, he began to be saying—This generation, is, a wicked generation: A sign, it is seeking, and, a sign, shall not be given it, save the sign of Jonah.
மக்கள் இன்னும் அதிகமாய்க் கூடிவந்தபோது, இயேசு அவர்களிடம் சொன்னதாவது: “இவர்கள் ஒரு கொடிய தலைமுறையினர். இவர்கள் ஒரு அற்புத அடையாளத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள். ஆனால், இவர்களுக்கு யோனாவின் அடையாளத்தைத் தவிர, வேறு எதுவும் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
30 For, according as, Jonah, became, unto the Ninevites, a sign, so, shall be, the Son of Man also, unto this generation.
நினிவே பட்டணத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு யோனா அடையாளமாய் இருந்ததுபோல, இந்தத் தலைமுறையினருக்கு மானிடமகனாகிய நானும் அடையாளமாய் இருப்பேன்.
31 The queen of the south, will rise up, in the judgment, with the men of this generation, and will condemn them; because she came out of the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, —and lo! something more than Solomon, here.
நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின்போது, தென்நாட்டு அரசியும்கூட இந்தத் தலைமுறை மக்களோடே எழுந்து, இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவாள். ஏனெனில், அவள் பூமியின் கடைமுனையிலிருந்து சாலொமோனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி வந்தாளே. ஆனால் சாலொமோனைவிடப் பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார்.
32 Men of Nineveh, will rise up, in the judgment, with this generation, and will condemn it; because they repented into the proclamation of Jonah, —and lo! something more than Jonah, here.
நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின்போது நினிவே பட்டணத்து மனிதரும், இந்தத் தலைமுறையினரோடு எழுந்து, இவர்கள்மீது குற்றம் சுமத்துவார்கள்; ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் யோனாவின் பிரசங்கத்தைக் கேட்டு மனந்திரும்பினார்கள். ஆனால் இப்பொழுதோ, யோனாவிலும் பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார்” என்றார்.
33 No one, having lighted, a lamp, into a covered place, a putteth it, nor, under the measure; but upon the lampstand, that they who enter may see, the light.
“யாரும் விளக்கைக் கொளுத்தி, அதை மறைந்திருக்கும்படி ஒரு இடத்திலோ, அல்லது ஒரு பாத்திரத்தால் மூடியோ வைப்பதில்லை. ஆனால் உள்ளே வருகிறவர்கள் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும்படி, அதை விளக்குத்தண்டின் மேல் வைப்பார்கள்.
34 The lamp of thy body, is thine eye: Whensoever, thine eye, may be, single, even the whole of thy body, is, lighted up; but, whensoever it may be, useless, even thy body, is darkened.
உன்னுடைய கண் உன் உடலின் விளக்காய் இருக்கிறது. உனது கண்கள் நல்லதாய் இருக்கும்போது, உன் முழு உடலும் வெளிச்சம் நிறைந்ததாய் இருக்கும். ஆனால் அவை கெட்டதாய் இருந்தால், உன் உடலும் இருள் நிறைந்ததாய் இருக்கும்.
35 Be looking to it, therefore, lest, the light that is in thee, be, darkness.
ஆகவே, உனக்குள்ளே இருக்கும் வெளிச்சம் இருள் அடையாதபடி பார்த்துக்கொள்.
36 If, therefore, thy whole body, is lighted up, not having any part darkened, the whole, shall be lighted up, as whensoever, the lamp, with its radiance, may be giving thee light.
உன் முழு உடலும் வெளிச்சம் நிறைந்ததாய் இருந்து, அதன் ஒரு பகுதியும் இருள் அடையாதிருக்குமானால், விளக்கின் வெளிச்சம் உங்களில் பிரகாசிப்பது போல், உனது முழு உடலும் வெளிச்சம் உடையதாய் இருக்கும்” என்றார்.
37 And, when he had spoken, a Pharisee was requesting him that he would dine with him; and, entering, he reclined.
இயேசு பேசி முடித்தபோது, பரிசேயன் ஒருவன் இயேசுவைத் தன்னுடன் உணவு சாப்பிடவரும்படி அழைத்தான்; அப்படியே அவர் அவனுடைய வீட்டிற்குச் சென்று சாப்பாட்டுப் பந்தியில் உட்கார்ந்தார்.
38 And, the Pharisee, beholding, marvelled that he was not, first, immersed, before the dinner.
சாப்பிடுவதற்கு முன்பு, இயேசு தன் கையைக் கழுவாததைக் கவனித்த பரிசேயன் ஆச்சரியம் அடைந்தான்.
39 And the Lord said unto him: Now, ye, the Pharisees, the outside of the cup and of the tray, do make pure; but, your inward part, is full of plunder and wickedness.
அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனிடம் சொன்னதாவது, “பரிசேயரே, நீங்களோ போஜனபாத்திரத்தின் வெளிப்புறத்தைச் சுத்தம் செய்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால், உங்களுடைய உட்புறமோ பேராசைகளினாலும், கொடுமைகளினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.
40 Simple ones! Did not, he who made the outside, the inside also, make?
மூடர்களே! வெளிப்புறத்தை உண்டாக்கியவர் உட்புறத்தையும் உண்டாக்கவில்லையோ?
41 Notwithstanding, as to the things within, give alms, and lo! everything, is, pure unto you.
பாத்திரத்தின் உள்ளே இருப்பதை ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.
42 But alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye tithe the mint, and the rue, and every garden herb, and pass by justice, and the love of God. But, these things, it was binding to do, and, those, not to pass by.
“பரிசேயரே உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய புதினா கீரையிலும், கறிவேப்பிலையிலும், தோட்டத்தின் மரக்கறிவகையிலும் பத்திலொன்றை இறைவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால் நீதி செய்வதையும், இறைவனிடம் அன்பு கூறுவதையும், அலட்சியம் செய்கிறீர்கள். இதையே, நீங்கள் முதலில் செய்திருக்கவேண்டும். முன்பு செய்ததையும் கைவிடக்கூடாது.
43 Alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the market-places!
“பரிசேயரே உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ! ஏனெனில், நீங்கள் ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் மிக முக்கியமான இருக்கைகளையும், சந்தைகூடும் இடங்களில் வாழ்த்துக்களையும் பெற விரும்புகிறீர்கள்.
44 Alas for you! because ye are as the secret tombs: even the men that are walking above them, know it not.
“உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ! ஏனெனில், நீங்கள் அடையாளச்சின்னம் இல்லாமலே, மூடப்பட்ட சவக்குழிகளைப் போல் இருக்கிறீர்கள். அதனால், மனிதர்கள் அது என்ன என்பதை அறியாமல், அதன்மேல் நடந்து போகிறார்கள்.”
45 And, making answer, one of the Lawyers saith unto him, Teacher! these things, saying, us also, dost thou insult!
மோசேயின் சட்ட அறிஞரில் ஒருவன் அவரிடம், “போதகரே, நீர் இவற்றைச் சொல்லுகிறபோது, எங்களையும் அவமானப்படுத்துகிறீர்” என்றான்.
46 And, he, said—And, for you, the lawyers, alas! because ye lade men with burdens hard to be borne, and, yourselves, with one of your fingers, touch not the burdens.
அதற்கு இயேசு, “மோசேயின் சட்ட அறிஞர்களே, உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ! ஏனெனில், மக்களால் சுமக்க முடியாத சமயச்சடங்குகளை நீங்கள் அவர்கள்மேல் சுமத்துகிறீர்கள். நீங்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வதற்காக உங்கள் ஒரு விரலைக்கூட அசைப்பதில்லை.
47 Alas for you! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers slew them!
“உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ! ஏனெனில், நீங்கள் இறைவாக்கினர்களுக்காக கல்லறைகளைக் கட்டுகிறீர்கள். அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்தவர்கள், உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களே.
48 Hence, witnesses, are ye, and find consenting pleasure in the works of your fathers: because, they, indeed, slew them, and, ye, are building, [their tombs].
உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் செய்ததை நீங்களும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறீர்கள் என்று இவ்விதமாய்ச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறீர்கள்; அவர்களோ, இறைவாக்கினரைக் கொன்றார்கள். நீங்களோ, அவர்களுக்குக் கல்லறைகளைக் கட்டுகிறீர்கள்.
49 For this cause, the Wisdom of God hath said—I will send forth, unto them, prophets and apostles, —and, some from among them, will they slay, and, [some] persecute:
இதன் காரணமாகவே, இறைவன் தம்முடைய ஞானத்தின்படி சொன்னதாவது, ‘நான் அவர்களிடம் இறைவாக்கினரையும், அப்போஸ்தலரையும் அனுப்புவேன். அவர்களில் சிலரை, இவர்கள் கொலைசெய்வார்கள். மற்றவர்களையோ இவர்கள் துன்புறுத்துவார்கள்’ என்றார்.
50 That the blood of all the prophets which hath been shed from the foundation of the world, may be sought out, from this generation, —
ஆகையால், உலகம் தொடங்கியதிலிருந்து இறைவாக்கினர் அனைவருடைய சிந்தப்பட்ட இரத்தத்திற்கும், இந்தத் தலைமுறையினரிடமே கணக்குக் கேட்கப்படும்.
51 From the blood of Abel, unto the blood of Zachariah who was destroyed betwixt the altar and the house; Yea! I say unto you—It shall be sought out from this generation.
ஆபேலுடைய இரத்தம் முதல், ஆலயத்தில் பலிபீடத்திற்கும் பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்கும் இடையே கொலைசெய்யப்பட்ட சகரியாவின் இரத்தம் வரைக்கும், இவர்களிடமே கணக்குக் கேட்கப்படும். ஆம், இதை நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இந்தத் தலைமுறையினரிடமே இவையெல்லாவற்றிற்கும் கணக்குக் கேட்கப்படும்.
52 Alas for you, the lawyers! because ye took away the key of knowledge: yourselves, entered not, and, them who were entering, ye hindered.
“மோசேயின் சட்ட அறிஞரே உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, அறிவிற்குரிய சாவியை மக்களிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் எடுத்துப்போட்டீர்கள். அதற்குள் நீங்களும் செல்வதில்லை. செல்கிறவர்களையும் தடைசெய்து விடுகிறீர்கள்” என்றார்.
53 And, when, from thence, he came out, the Scribes and the Pharisees began, with vehemence, to be hemming him in, and trying to make him speak off-hand concerning many things, —
இயேசு அங்கிருந்து புறப்படும்போது பரிசேயரும் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியரும் அவரைக் கடுமையாக எதிர்க்கவும், பல கேள்விகளைக் கேட்டுத் தாக்கவும் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
54 lying in wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.
அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளிலிருந்தே, இயேசுவைக் குற்றம் கண்டுபிடிப்பதற்குத் தருணம் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
