Luke 11
1 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain place praying, as he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him—Lord! teach us to pray, as, John also, taught his disciples.
ಯೇಸು ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ಯೋಹಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮಗೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
2 And he said unto them—Whensoever ye are praying, say—Father! Hallowed be thy name, Come may thy kingdom,
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ, “ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಮವು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದು ಎಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಬರಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತವು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆರವೇರಲಿ.
3 Our needful bread, be giving us, day by day;
ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುದಿನದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
4 And forgive us our sins, for, even we ourselves, forgive every one indebted to us; And bring us not into temptation.
ನಮಗೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನು, ನಾವು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿರಿ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶೋಧನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸದೆ, ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ.”
5 And he said unto them—Who from among you, shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him—Friend! supply me with three loaves,
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಿಗಾದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಿರಲಾಗಿ, ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ, ಮೂರು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಲವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡು;
6 forasmuch as, a friend of mine, hath come off a journey unto me, and I have not what I can set before him;
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು
7 and, he, from within, shall answer, and say—Be not disturbing me, —already, the door hath been fastened, and, my children, with me, are, in bed: I cannot rise and give thee?
ಅವನು ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, ‘ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಬೇಡ. ಬಾಗಿಲು ಈಗ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದೆ, ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾನೆದ್ದು ಕೊಡಲಾರೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
8 I say unto you—Even though he will not give him, rising because of his being a friend of his, because, at least, of his importunity, he will rouse himself, and give him as many as he needeth.
ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಅವನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡದೆಹೋದರೂ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡದೆ ಬೇಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡುವನು.
9 I, therefore, unto you, say—Be asking, and it shall be given to you, Be seeking, and ye shall find, —Be knocking, and it shall be opened unto you.
“ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು; ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
10 For, whosoever asketh, receiveth, and, he that seeketh, findeth, —and, to him that knocketh, shall it be opened.
ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟುವವರಿಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
11 But which is the father, from among yourselves, whom the son will ask for, a fish, who, instead of a fish, will give him, a serpent?
“ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವಾತನು, ತನ್ನ ಮಗನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ, ಮೀನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ಮೀನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
12 Or shall also ask, an egg, who will give him, a scorpion?
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚೇಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
13 If therefore, ye, being, evil, know how to be giving, good gifts, unto your children, how much rather, will, the heavenly Father, give Holy Spirit unto them that ask him!
ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ನೀವೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲವರಾದರೆ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವರಲ್ಲವೇ!” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದರು.
14 And he was casting out a demon that was dumb; and it came to pass, when the demon went out, the dumb began speaking. And the multitudes marvelled;
ಯೇಸು ಒಂದು ಮೂಕದೆವ್ವವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ದೆವ್ವವು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಆ ಮೂಕನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
15 but, some from among them, said—In Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons, is he casting out the demons;
ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, “ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ಈತನು ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
16 and, others, putting him to the test, a sign out of heaven, were seeking from him.
ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
17 But, he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them—Every kingdom, against itself divided, is laid waste, and, a house, against a house, [divided], falleth;
ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು: “ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಗೊಂಡರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು, ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದರೆ, ಅದು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವುದು.
18 And, if, even Satan, against himself hath become divided, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye are saying that, in Beelzebul, am I casting out the demons.
ಸೈತಾನನು ಸಹ ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದರೆ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ.
19 But, if, I, in Beelzebul, am casting out the demons, In whom are, your sons, casting them out? Wherefore, they, shall be, your judges.
ನಾನು ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರು ಯಾರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿಮ್ಮವರೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವರು.
20 But, if, with the finger of God, I, am casting out the demons, then doubtless unawares hath come upon you, the kingdom of God.
ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಬಲದಿಂದಲೇ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
21 Whensoever, the mighty one, armed, may be guarding his own dwelling, in peace, are his goods;
“ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನಾದವನೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವುದಾದರೆ ಅವನ ಸೊತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
22 But, whensoever, a mightier than he, shall come upon and vanquish him, his panoply, he taketh away, wherein he was trusting, and, his spoils, he distributeth.
ಆದರೆ ಅವನಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ಭರವಸೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಂಚುವನು.
23 He that is not with me, is, against me; and, he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
“ನನ್ನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರದವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಶೇಖರಿಸದವನು ಚದರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
24 Whensoever, the impure spirit, goeth out from the man, it passeth through waterless places, seeking rest; and, not finding it, [then, ] it saith, I will return unto my house, whence I came out; —
“ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಡಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅದು, ‘ನಾನು ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು,
25 and, coming, findeth it, [empty, ] swept, and adorned.
ಅದು ಬಂದು ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಗುಡಿಸಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.
26 Then, goeth it, and taketh along with itself, other spirits, more wicked than itself—seven, and, entering in, fixeth its dwelling there; and, the last state of that man, becometh, worse than the first.
ಆ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವು ಹೋಗಿ ತನಗಿಂತಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಏಳು ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಒಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಮೊದಲಿಗಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
27 Now it came to pass, while he was saying these things, that a certain woman out of the multitude, lifting up her voice, said unto him—Happy the womb that bare thee! And the breasts which thou didst suck!
ಯೇಸು ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತು, ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಾಲುಣಿಸಿದ ತಾಯಿ ಧನ್ಯಳು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
28 But, he, said—Yea rather!—Happy they who hear the word of God, and observe it!
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರು,” ಎಂದರು.
29 And, as the multitudes were thronging together, he began to be saying—This generation, is, a wicked generation: A sign, it is seeking, and, a sign, shall not be given it, save the sign of Jonah.
ಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೇಸು, “ಇದು ದುಷ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯು. ಇದು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೋನನಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೊರಕದು.
30 For, according as, Jonah, became, unto the Ninevites, a sign, so, shall be, the Son of Man also, unto this generation.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋನನು ನಿನೆವೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ, ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
31 The queen of the south, will rise up, in the judgment, with the men of this generation, and will condemn them; because she came out of the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, —and lo! something more than Solomon, here.
ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಇವರನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವಳು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಳು. ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
32 Men of Nineveh, will rise up, in the judgment, with this generation, and will condemn it; because they repented into the proclamation of Jonah, —and lo! something more than Jonah, here.
ನಿನೆವೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಇದನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋನನು ಸಾರಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋನನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
33 No one, having lighted, a lamp, into a covered place, a putteth it, nor, under the measure; but upon the lampstand, that they who enter may see, the light.
“ಯಾರೂ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮರೆಯಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟಲ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಲಿ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವವರಿಗೆ, ಬೆಳಕು ಕಾಣಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರಷ್ಟೆ.
34 The lamp of thy body, is thine eye: Whensoever, thine eye, may be, single, even the whole of thy body, is, lighted up; but, whensoever it may be, useless, even thy body, is darkened.
ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ದೀಪವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಕಣ್ಣು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವು ಸಹ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
35 Be looking to it, therefore, lest, the light that is in thee, be, darkness.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೋ.
36 If, therefore, thy whole body, is lighted up, not having any part darkened, the whole, shall be lighted up, as whensoever, the lamp, with its radiance, may be giving thee light.
ದೇಹದ ಯಾವುದೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದಾದರೆ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ದೀಪವು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
37 And, when he had spoken, a Pharisee was requesting him that he would dine with him; and, entering, he reclined.
ಯೇಸು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು, ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡರು.
38 And, the Pharisee, beholding, marvelled that he was not, first, immersed, before the dinner.
ಆದರೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಯೇಸು ಕೈತೊಳೆಯದೆ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ಕಂಡು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.
39 And the Lord said unto him: Now, ye, the Pharisees, the outside of the cup and of the tray, do make pure; but, your inward part, is full of plunder and wickedness.
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಫರಿಸಾಯರಾದ ನೀವು, ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ತಟ್ಟೆಯ ಹೊರಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಶುಚಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಳಭಾಗವು ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
40 Simple ones! Did not, he who made the outside, the inside also, make?
ಮೂರ್ಖರೇ! ಹೊರಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಾತನು ಒಳಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡಿದನಲ್ಲವೇ?
41 Notwithstanding, as to the things within, give alms, and lo! everything, is, pure unto you.
ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುವು.
42 But alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye tithe the mint, and the rue, and every garden herb, and pass by justice, and the love of God. But, these things, it was binding to do, and, those, not to pass by.
“ಫರಿಸಾಯರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಪುದೀನ, ಸದಾಪು ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಸೊಪ್ಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಶಮಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು.
43 Alas for you, the Pharisees! because ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the market-places!
“ಫರಿಸಾಯರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಆಸನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
44 Alas for you! because ye are as the secret tombs: even the men that are walking above them, know it not.
“ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನೆಲಸಮವಾದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದಾಡುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿಯರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
45 And, making answer, one of the Lawyers saith unto him, Teacher! these things, saying, us also, dost thou insult!
ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
46 And, he, said—And, for you, the lawyers, alas! because ye lade men with burdens hard to be borne, and, yourselves, with one of your fingers, touch not the burdens.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನಿಯಮ ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನಿಮಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹೊರಲಾಗದ ಹೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ, ನೀವಾದರೋ ಈ ಹೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದರಿಂದಾದರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
47 Alas for you! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers slew them!
“ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು, ನೀವು ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ.
48 Hence, witnesses, are ye, and find consenting pleasure in the works of your fathers: because, they, indeed, slew them, and, ye, are building, [their tombs].
ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು, ನೀವೋ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ.
49 For this cause, the Wisdom of God hath said—I will send forth, unto them, prophets and apostles, —and, some from among them, will they slay, and, [some] persecute:
ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಹ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಸೆಪಡಿಸುವರು.’
50 That the blood of all the prophets which hath been shed from the foundation of the world, may be sought out, from this generation, —
ಹೀಗೆ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ಸುರಿಸಲಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು,
51 From the blood of Abel, unto the blood of Zachariah who was destroyed betwixt the altar and the house; Yea! I say unto you—It shall be sought out from this generation.
ಹೇಬೆಲನ ರಕ್ತ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೂ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತವಾದ ಜಕರೀಯನ ರಕ್ತದವರೆಗೂ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಹೌದು, ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
52 Alas for you, the lawyers! because ye took away the key of knowledge: yourselves, entered not, and, them who were entering, ye hindered.
“ನಿಯಮ ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೀಗದ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನೀವಂತೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರಿಗೂ ನೀವು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
53 And, when, from thence, he came out, the Scribes and the Pharisees began, with vehemence, to be hemming him in, and trying to make him speak off-hand concerning many things, —
ಬಳಿಕ ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ಕೋಪಾವೇಶವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಣಕಿದರು,
54 lying in wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
