Leviticus 5

1 Any person, moreover, whensoever he shall sin in that, when he heareth a voice of swearing, he himself, being a witness either seeing or knowing, —if he do not tell and so hath to bear his iniquity: —

Når nokon høyrer ei våbøn som vert lyst yver ein brotsmann, og han hev set eller veit noko so han kunde vitna mot honom, men like vel ikkje segjer ifrå, og soleis syndar og fører skuld yver seg,

2 Or, any person, who toucheth anything unclean, whether the carcase of an unclean wild-beast or the carcase of an unclean tame-beast, or the carcase of an unclean creeping thing, —and it is hidden from him, he himself being unclean, and he becometh aware of his guilt: —

eller nokon, seg uvitande, kjem innåt noko ureint, anten det er etslet av eit ureint villdyr eller av eit ureint krøter eller av eit ureint krek, og soleis sjølv vert urein og fører skuld yver seg,

3 Or whensoever one shall touch the uncleanness of man, as regardeth any uncleanness of his, wherewith one may become unclean, —and it be hidden from him, and then he himself, getting to know it becometh aware of his guilt: —

eller når han kjem nær noko ureint av folk, kva det so er for ureinska som er på deim, og han ikkje veit av det, men sidan fær vita det og ser at han hev ført skuld yver seg,

4 Or, any person, whensoever he shall swear, speaking unadvisedly with the lips, to harm or to help, as regardeth anything wherein the son of earth may speak unadvisedly by way of oath, and it be hidden from him, —and then, he himself, getting to know it, becometh aware of his guilt as regardeth any one of these things.

eller når nokon sver tankelaust burt i veret at han vil gjera eitt eller anna, slikt som folk kann koma til å sverja på i tankeløysa, og han ikkje håttar det, men sidan vert vis med at han hev ført skuld yver seg med eitkvart sovore,

5 Then shall it be, when he becometh aware of his guilt, as regardeth any one of these things, that he shall confess that wherein he hath sinned;

so skal den som soleis hev ført skuld yver seg standa til kva han hev synda i,

6 and shall bring in as his guilt-bearer unto Yahweh for his sin which he hath committed, a female from the flock—a lamb or a kid of the goats—as a sin-bearer, —so shall the priest put propitiatory-covering over him, because of his sin.

og til bot for den syndi han hev gjort, skal han koma til Herren med eit syndoffer - det skal vera eit småkrøter av hoslaget, søya eller geit - og presten skal bera fram soningsoffer for honom og gjer honom rein for syndi.

7 And, if his hand cannot reach sufficient for a lamb, then shall he bring in to bear his guilt—for that he hath sinned—two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons unto Yahweh, —one for a sin-bearer, and one for an ascending-sacrifice.

Hev han ikkje råd til eit småkrøter, so skal han til bot for den syndi han hev gjort bera fram for Herren tvo turtelduvor eller tvo duveungar, den eine til syndoffer og den andre til brennoffer.

8 And he shall take them in unto the priest, who shall bring near that which is for a sin-bearer first, —and shall nip through the neck close to the head but shall not divide it asunder.

Han skal koma til presten med deim, og presten skal fyrst bera fram den duva som skal vera til syndoffer. Han skal vrida um hovudet på henne tett uppmed nakken, men ikkje skilja det frå bulen.

9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin-bearer upon the wall of the altar, and the remainder of the blood, shall he drain out at the base of the altar, —a, sin-bearer, it is.

So skal han skvetta noko av syndofferblodet på altarveggen, og det som er att av blodet, skal kreistast ut so det renn ned innmed altarfoten. Då er det eit rett syndoffer.

10 And of the second, shall he make an ascending-sacrifice according to the regulation, —so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him, because of his sin which he hath committed and it shall be forgiven him.

Av den andre duva skal han laga til eit brennoffer, på rette gjerdi. Når presten soleis hev bore fram soningsoffer for den syndi han hev gjort, so skal han få tilgjeving.

11 But if his hand cannot lay hold of two turtledove, or two young pigeons, then shall he bring in as his oblation—because he hath sinned—the tenth of an ephah of fine meal for bearing sin, —he shall not put thereon oil, neither shall he lay thereon frankincense, for a sin-bearer, it is.

Hev han ikkje råd til tvo turtelduvor eller tvo duveungar, so skal han til bot for di han hev synda koma med ei kanna fint mjøl; det skal vera syndofferet hans. Han skal ikkje hava olje på det, og ikkje leggja røykjelse attmed; for det er eit syndoffer.

12 And he shall bring it in unto the priest, and the priest shall take therefrom a handful, as the memorial thereof, and shall make a perfume at the altar, upon the altar-flames of Yahweh, —a sin-bearer, it is.

Til presten skal han koma med det, og presten skal taka ein neve av mjølet og brenna på altaret, saman med offerretterne åt Herren, då er det eit rett syndoffer.

13 So shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him, on account of his sin which he hath committed, departing from some one of these things, and it shall be forgiven him, —then shall it be the priest’s, like the meal-offering.

Når presten soleis hev bore fram soningsoffer for den syndi han på den eine eller den andre måten hev gjort, so skal han få tilgjeving. Dette offeret skal høyra presten til på same vis som grjonofferet.»»

14 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying—

Og Herren tala atter til Moses, og sagde:

15 Whensoever, any person, shall commit a trespass, and shall take away by mistake, from the holy things of Yahweh, then shall he bring in as his guilt-bearer unto Yahweh, a ram without defect out of the flock, with thine estimate in silver by shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a guilt-bearer:

«Er det nokon som uviljande eignar til seg noko av det som er vigt åt Herren, og soleis vert saka i svik, so skal han til bot for si skuld koma til Herren med ein lytelaus ver av fenaden sin, ein som etter ditt skyn er verd minst tvo sylvdalar i heilag mynt; det skal vera skuldofferet hans.

16 that, moreover, which he took away from the sanctuary, shall he make good and the fifth part thereof, shall he add thereunto, and shall give it to the priest, —and, the priest, shall put a propitiatory-covering over him with the guilt-bearing ram and it shall be forgiven him.

Det han med urett hev eigna til seg av dei vigde gåvorne, skal han gjeva att, og attåt leggja femteparten av verdet. Han skal gjeva det til presten, og når presten hev ofra skuldofferveren til soning for honom, skal han få tilgjeving.

17 And if any person when he shall sin, and do something, departing from any of the commandments of Yahweh, as to things which should not be done, —though he knew it not, shall so become guilty, and shall bear his iniquity,

Når nokon syndar og gjer noko av det som Herren hev forbode å gjera, og han ikkje veit av det, men skynar at han hev fare i mist og ført skuld yver seg,

18 then shall he bring in a ram without defect out of the flock by thine estimate as a guilt-bearer unto the priest, —and the priest shall put a propitiatory-covering over him, on account of his mistake which he made though he knew it not and it shall be forgiven him:

so skal han til bot for si skuld koma til presten med ein lytelaus ver av fenaden sin, ein som etter ditt skyn er eit fullgodt offer; og presten skal bera fram soningsoffer for den misgjerdi han hev gjort og ikkje visste av, og då skal han få tilgjeving.

19 a guilt-bearer, it is, —he was, verily guilty against Yahweh.

Dette er eit skuldoffer; for det var visst at han bar på ei skuld imot Herren.»
