Leviticus 24
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:
2 Command the sons of Israel, That they bring unto thee—pure oil olive, beaten, for giving light, —to cause the lamp to burn up continually.
Bjud Israels barnom, att de bära till dig klara stötta bomoljo till lysning, hvilken dagliga skall slås upp i lamporna,
3 Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron order it, from evening until morning, before Yahweh continually, —a statute age-abiding, to your generations.
Utanför vittnesbördsens förlåt i vittnesbördsens tabernakel. Och Aaron skall sköta det både afton och morgon för Herranom dagliga. Det skall vara en evig rätt med edra efterkommande.
4 Upon the pure lampstand, shall he order the lamps, —before Yahweh, continually.
Och skall han pynta till lamporna på den sköna ljusastakanom för Herranom dagliga.
5 And thou shalt take fine meal, and bake it, in twelve cakes, —of two-tenths, shall each cake be.
Och du skall taga semlomjöl, och baka deraf tolf kakor; en kaka skall hålla två tiungar;
6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, —upon the pure table, before Yahweh.
Och skall lägga dem, ju sex i hvar hop, på det sköna bordet för Herranom;
7 And thou shalt put upon each row pure frankincense, —so shall it belong unto the bread as a memorial, an altar-flame unto Yahweh.
Och skall lägga på dem rent rökelse, att det skall vara åminnelsebröd till ett offer Herranom.
8 Sabbath day by sabbath day, shall he order it before Yahweh continually, —from the sons of Israel as an age-abiding covenant:
På hvar Sabbathsdag skall han pynta dem till Herranom alltid, af Israels barn till ett evigt förbund;
9 so shall it be for Aaron and for his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, —for most holy, shall it be unto him from among the altar-flames of Yahweh, a statute age-abiding.
Och skola höra Aaron och hans söner till, de skola äta dem på heligt rum; ty det är hans aldrahelgasta af Herrans offer till en evig rätt.
10 And forth went the son of a woman of Israel—he being the son of a man of Egypt—in the midst of the sons of Israel;
Och en man utgick, enes Israelitiska qvinnos son, den ens Egyptisk mans son var ibland Israels barn, och trätte med en Israelitisk man i lägret;
11 and the son of the woman of Israel, and a man of Israel, reviled one another in the camp. And the son of the Israelitish woman uttered contemptuously the Name, and reviled. So they brought him in unto Moses, —now, the name of his mother, was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;
Och nämnde Namnet, och bannades. Då hade de honom fram för Mose. Och hans moder het Selomith, Dibri dotter, af Dans slägte.
12 and they put him in ward, —that a clear answer might be given to them at the mouth of Yahweh.
Och de lade honom i fängelse, tilldess dem vorde viss svar gifven genom Herrans mun.
13 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:
14 Bring forth him that reviled unto the outside of the camp, then shall all that heard [him] lean their hands upon his head, —and all the assembly shall stone him.
För honom ut för lägret, som bannats hafver, och låt alla dem som det hörde, lägga sina händer på hans hufvud, och låt hela menigheten stena honom.
15 And, unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak saying, —What man soever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
Och säg Israels barnom: Hvilken som bannar sin Gud, han skall bära sina synd.
16 And, he that contemptuously uttereth the name of Yahweh, shall be, surely put to death, all the assembly shall, surely stone, him, —as the sojourner so the home-born, when he contemptuously uttereth the Name, he shall be put to death.
Hvilken som Herrans Namn nämner, han skall döden dö; hela menigheten skall stena honom. Såsom utländningen, så skall ock inländningen vara; om han nämner det Namnet, så skall han dö.
17 And, when, any man, by smiting taketh the life of any human being, he shall be surely put to death,
Om någor slår ena mennisko, han skall döden dö;
18 And he that by smiting taketh away the life of a beast, shall make it good, —life for life.
Men den som slår någon boskap, han skall betalat kropp för kropp;
19 And, when, any man, inflicteth a blemish upon his neighbour, as he hath done, so, shall it be done to him:
Och den som gör sinom nästa skada, honom skall man göra såsom han gjorde:
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as he inflicteth a blemish upon a human being, so, shall one be inflicted upon him.
Skada för skada, öga för öga, tand för tand; såsom han hafver gjort ene mennisko skada, så skall man göra honom igen;
21 And he that killeth a beast, shall make it good, -and he that killeth a human being, shall be put to death.
Så att den som slår någon boskap, den skall betalat; men den som slår ena mennisko, han skall dö.
22 One rule, shall ye have, as the sojourner, so the home-born, shall be, —For, I—Yahweh, am your God.
Samma rätten skall vara ibland eder, så för utländningen, som för inländningen; ty jag är Herren edar Gud.
23 So then Moses spake unto the sons of Israel, and they took forth the reviler, unto the outside of the camp, and stoned him with stones. Thus, the sons of Israel did, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
Och Mose sade detta för Israels barnom, och förde honom, som bannats hade, ut för lägret, och stenade honom. Och alltså gjorde Israels barn, såsom Herren Mose budit hade.
