< Leviticus 21 >

1 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Say unto the priests, the sons of Aaron, —yea thou shalt say unto them, For a dead person, shall no one make himself unclean among his people:
Angraeng mah Mosi khae ah, Aaron capa qaimanawk hanah, Qaima loe nangcae salak ih kadueh kami pongah amhnong han om ai, tiah thui paeh;
2 Saving for his kin, that are near unto him, for his mother or for his father, or for his son or for his daughter, or for his brother;
toe kadueh ih caanawk, angmah hoi anghnai kami, amno maw, ampa maw, a capa maw, a canu maw, angmah ih amnawk hanah maw,
3 or for his sister, a virgin who is near unto him, who belongeth not unto a husband, —for her, he may make himself unclean:
to tih ai boeh loe tangla kacuem, angmah khaeah kaom angmah ih tanu maw, sava tawn ai a tanunawk loe ciimcai ai ah doeh oh thaih.
4 He shall not make himself unclean being a chief among his people, —by profaning himself:
Toe angmah ih acaeng ukkung loe, angmah hoi angmah to amhnong han om ai.
5 They shall not make a baldness behind in their head, And the border of their beard, shall they not cut off, —And, in their flesh, shall they not make incisions.
Qaimanawk loe sam aah muilum han om ai; toektaboe mui doeh aah han om ai; ngan doeh a aah o han om ai.
6 Holy persons, shall they be unto their God, and not profane the name of their God, —for, the altar-flames of Yahweh, the food of their God, do they bring near—Therefore shall they be holy.
Nihcae loe angmacae ih Sithaw khaeah ciimcai ah oh o moe, angmacae ih Sithaw hmin kasae a thuih o han om ai; Angraeng khaeah hmai angbawnhaih to sak moe, Sithaw khaeah buh hoi angbawnhaih a sak o pongah, nihcae loe ciimcai ah oh o han angaih.
7 A woman that is unchaste or dishonoured, shall they not take, And a woman divorced from her husband, shall they not take, —For holy, he is unto his God.
Qaimanawk loe angmacae ih Sithaw khaeah ciim o pongah, takpum zaw nongpata, to tih ai boeh loe ciimcai ai nongpata, minawk mah pakhrak ih nongpata to zu ah lak han om ai.
8 Therefore shalt thou hold him as holy, for the food of thy God, doth he bring near, —Holy, shall he be to thee, For, holy, am I—Yahweh, who am making you holy.
Nangcae ih buh to Sithaw khaeah tathlang kami ah oh pongah, anih loe nangcae han ciimcai kami ah om tih; nangcae ciimsakkung, Kai Angraeng loe ciimcai pongah, nihcae to kaciim ah poek oh.
9 And, the daughter of any priest, when she profaneth herself by unchastity, Her father, she, doth profane, with fire, shall she be consumed.
Qaima canu loe a takpum to zawh moe, angmah hoi angmah ciimcai ai ah sah nahaeloe, ampa to amhnongsak kami ah oh pongah, anih to hmai hoiah qoeng han oh.
10 And, as for the high priest from among his brethren upon whose head is poured the anointing oil, and who is installed, by putting on the garments, His head, shall he not bare, And, his garments, shall he not rend;
Angmah ih nawkamya thungah saning coeh koek, lu nuiah situi bawh ih kami, qaima ih kahni angkhuk hanah caksak ih kami mah loe, a lu nui ih sam to pakhrah mak ai ueloe, a khukbuen doeh angkhring mak ai;
11 And, unto no persons of the dead, shall he go in, —For his father or for his mother, shall he not make himself unclean;

12 And, out of the sanctuary, shall he not go forth, so shall he not profane the sanctuary of his God, —for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him—I, am Yahweh.
Angmah Sithaw ih situi hoiah bawh moe, caksak boeh pongah, anih mah Sithaw ih hmuenciim to caehtaak han om ai, hmuenciim doeh amhnongsak han om ai; Kai loe Angraeng ah ka oh.
13 But, he, shall take a woman in her virginity:
Anih ih zu loe tangla kacuem ah oh han angaih.
14 A widow or a divorced woman or one dishonoured—an unchaste woman, these, shall he not take, But, a virgin from among his own kinsfolk, shall he take to wife;
Lamhmai maw, minawk mah pakhrak ih nongpata maw, to tih ai boeh loe tangzat zaw nongpata maw to zu ah lak han om ai; angmah acaeng thung ih tangla kacuem khue to zu ah lak han oh.
15 So shall he not profane his seed, among his kinsfolk, —For I—Yahweh, do hallow him.
To tiah sakhaih rang hoiah angmah acaeng thung ih angzo han koi a caanawk loe ciimcai ah om o tih; Kai loe anih ciimsakkung, Angraeng ah ka oh, tiah a thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah a naa.
16 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah,
17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, —No man of thy seed, unto their generations in whom shall be any blemish, shall come near, to present the food of his God.
Aaron khaeah, Aangzo han koi na caanawk thungah coek koi kaom kami mah Sithaw khaeah buh tathlang han om ai, tiah thui paeh.
18 Surely, no man in whom is any blemish, shall come near, —No man who is blind or lame, or hath a flat nose, or is lanky;
Mi kawbaktih doeh coek koi kaom kami, mikmaeng maw, to tih ai boeh loe khokkhaem maw, to tih ai boeh loe hnah kangphaek kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe ngan kamtlai kami maw,
19 nor any man who hath a broken foot, —or a broken hand;
to tih ai boeh loe khok angkhaek kami maw, ban angkhaek kami maw,
20 or is hump-backed or a dwarf, or hath defective vision, —or hath scurvy or scab, or is crushed in the stones:
kaengkuu maw, to tih ai boeh loe kahnaem daek kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe mik akoep ai kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe phra man kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe ngan kamthak tawn kami maw, to tih ai boeh loe zangtii om ai kami loe, anih taengah caeh han om ai.
21 No, man in whom is a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest, shall approach, to bring near the altar-flames of Yahweh, —a blemish, is in him, the food of his God, shall he not approach to bring near:
Qaima Aaron acaeng thungah takpum akoep ai kami loe, hmai angbawnhaih sak hanah Angraeng hmaa ah caeh han om ai; a takpum ah coek koi oh pongah, buh tathlang hanah angmah ih Angraeng khaeah caeh han om ai.
22 Of the food of his God, both of the most holy, —and the holy, may he eat:
Anih loe kaciim hoi kaciim koek, angmah Sithaw ih buh to caa thai tih.
23 Only, unto the veil, shall he not come in and unto the altar, shall he not approach—because, a blemish, is in him, so shall he not profane my sanctuaries, For, I—Yahweh, am hallowing them.
Toe anih loe coek koi oh pongah, payang ih kahni thungah caeh mak ai ueloe, hmaicam ah doeh caeh mak ai; ka hmuenciim doeh amhnongsak han om ai; Kai loe nihcae ciimsakkung, Angraeng ah ka oh, tiah a thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah a naa.
24 And Moses spake [these things] unto Aaron, and unto his sons, —and unto all the sons of Israel.
To pongah Mosi mah hae lok hae, Aaron hoi a capanawk hoi Israel kaminawk boih khaeah thuih pae.
