< Lamentations 1 >

1 How is seated alone, the city that abounded with people, hath become as a widow, —She who abounded among the nations was a princess among provinces, hath come under tribute.
Báwo ni ìlú ṣe jókòó nìkan, nígbà kan tí ó sì kún fún ènìyàn! Ó ti fìgbà kan jẹ́ ìlú olókìkí láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, tí ó wà ní ipò opó, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ ọbabìnrin láàrín ìlú ni ó padà di ẹrú.
2 She, weepeth sore, in the night, and, her tear, is on her cheek, She hath none to comfort her, of all her lovers, —All her friends, have betrayed her, have become her foes.
Ọ̀gànjọ́ òru ni ó fi máa ń sọkún kíkorò pẹ̀lú omijé ní ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀ tí ó dúró sí ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀. Nínú gbogbo àwọn olólùfẹ́ rẹ̀ kò sí ọ̀kan nínú wọn láti rẹ̀ ẹ́ lẹ́kún. Gbogbo àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀ ti jọ̀wọ́ rẹ̀ wọ́n ti di alátakò rẹ̀.
3 Carried away captive is Judah—because of oppression, and because of great servitude, She, hath remained among the nations, hath found no place of rest, —All her pursuers, have overtaken her, between straits.
Lẹ́yìn ìjìyà àti ìpọ́njú nínú oko ẹrú, Juda lọ sí àjò Ó tẹ̀dó láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, ṣùgbọ́n kò rí ibi ìsinmi. Àwọn tí ó ń tẹ̀lé ká á mọ́ ibi tí kò ti le sá àsálà.
4 The ways to Zion, are mourning, because none come to her appointed feasts, All her gates, are desolate, her priests, are sighing, —her virgins, are grieved, and, she, it is bitter for her.
Gbogbo ọ̀nà tí ó wọ Sioni ń ṣọ̀fọ̀, nítorí ẹnìkan kò wá sí àjọ̀dún tí a yàn. Gbogbo ẹnu-bodè rẹ̀ dahoro, àwọn àlùfáà rẹ̀ kẹ́dùn, àwọn wúńdíá rẹ̀ sì ń káàánú, òun gan an wà ní ọkàn kíkorò.
5 Her adversaries have become chief, her foes, are at ease, for, Yahweh, hath grieved her, because of the multitude of her transgressions, —Her children, have gone into captivity, before the adversary.
Àwọn aninilára rẹ̀ gbogbo di olúwa rẹ̀, nǹkan sì rọrùn fún àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀, Olúwa ti fún un ní ìjìyà tó tọ́ nítorí àwọn ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀. Àwọn ẹ̀ṣọ́ wẹ́wẹ́ rẹ̀ lọ sí oko ẹrú, ìgbèkùn níwájú àwọn ọ̀tá.
6 Thus hath gone forth from the daughter of Zion, all that adorned her, —Her princes have become like harts that have found no pasture, and have gone strengthless before the pursuer.
Gbogbo ẹwà ti di ohun ìgbàgbé kúrò lọ́dọ̀ ọmọbìnrin Sioni. Àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ dàbí i àgbọ̀nrín tí kò rí ewé tútù jẹ; nínú àárẹ̀ wọ́n sáré níwájú ẹni tí ó ń lé wọn.
7 Jerusalem hath remembered in the days of her humiliation and her fleeings—all her precious things, which have existed from the days of old, —Now that her people have been falling into the hand of the adversary, with none to help her, the adversaries have seen her, have mocked over her sabbath-keepings.
Ní ọjọ́ ìpọ́njú àti àrìnká rẹ̀ ni Jerusalẹmu rántí àwọn ohun ìní dáradára rẹ̀ tí ó jẹ́ tirẹ̀ ní ọjọ́ pípẹ́. Nígbà tí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ṣubú ṣọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá, kò sì ṣí olùrànlọ́wọ́ fún un. Àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ wò ó wọ́n sì ń fi ìparun rẹ̀ ṣẹlẹ́yà.
8 Jerusalem, hath grievously sinned, For this cause, unto exile, hath she been delivered, —All who used to honour her, have despised her, for they have descried her unseemliness, yea, she herself, hath sighed, and turned back.
Jerusalẹmu sì ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀ púpọ̀ ó sì ti di aláìmọ́. Àwọn tí ó ń tẹríba fún un sì kẹ́gàn rẹ̀, nítorí wọ́n ti rí ìhòhò rẹ̀; ó kérora fúnra rẹ̀, ó sì lọ kúrò.
9 Her impurity, is in her skirts, She hath not remembered her hereafter, Therefore hath she come down wonderfully, none to comfort her, —Behold, O Yahweh, my humiliation, that the foe, hath made himself great.
Ìdọ̀tí wà ní etí aṣọ rẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò wo ọjọ́ iwájú rẹ̀. Ìṣubú rẹ̀ ya ni lẹ́nu; olùtùnú kò sì ṣí fún un. “Wo ìpọ́njú mi, Olúwa, nítorí àwọn ọ̀tá ti borí.”
10 His hand, hath the adversary spread out, over all her precious things, —for she saw that, the nations, entered her sanctuary, as to whom thou didst command they should not enter—in the convocation—unto thee!
Ọ̀tá ti gbọ́wọ́ lé gbogbo ìní rẹ; o rí pé àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí wọ́n wọ ibi mímọ́ rẹ— àwọn tí o ti kọ̀sílẹ̀ láti wọ ìpéjọpọ̀ rẹ.
11 All her people, are sighing, seeking bread, They have given their precious things for food, to bring back life, —Behold, O Yahweh, and discern, that I have become worthless.
Àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ń kérora bí wọ́n ti ń wá oúnjẹ; wọ́n fi ohun ìní wọn ṣe pàṣípàrọ̀ oúnjẹ láti mú wọn wà láààyè. “Wò ó, Olúwa, kí o sì rò ó, nítorí a kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀.”
12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Look around and see, whether there is pain like my pain, which is severely dealt out to me, —in that Yahweh, hath caused grief, in the day of the glow of his anger?
“Kò ha jẹ́ nǹkan kan sí i yín? Gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ń rékọjá. Ǹjẹ́ ẹnìkan ń jìyà bí èmi ti ń jìyà tí a fi fún mi, ti Olúwa mú wá fún mi ní ọjọ́ ìbínú gbígbóná rẹ̀.
13 From on high, sent he fire, among my bones, and laid them prostrate, —He spread out a net for my feet, he made me turn back, he made me desolate, all the day, faint.
“Ó rán iná láti òkè sọ̀kalẹ̀ sínú egungun ara mi. Ó dẹ àwọ̀n fún ẹsẹ̀ mi, ó sì yí mi padà. Ó ti pa mí lára mó ń kú lọ ní gbogbo ọjọ́.
14 The yoke of my transgressions, hath been bound, by his hand—They have intertwined themselves, have come up on my neck, it hath paralysed my strength, —My Lord, hath delivered me, into the hands of those against whom I cannot rise up.
“Ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi ti di sísopọ̀ sí àjàgà; ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ni a fi hun ún papọ̀. Wọ́n ti yí ọrùn mi ká Olúwa sì ti dín agbára mi kù. Ó sì ti fi mí lé àwọn tí n kò le dojúkọ lọ́wọ́.
15 My Lord, hath flouted at all my magnates, in my midst, He hath called against me a host, to crush my young men, —A winepress, hath My Lord trodden, to the virgin, the daughter of Judah.
“Olúwa kọ àwọn akọni mi sílẹ̀, ó rán àwọn ológun lòdì sí mi kí wọn pa àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin mi run. Nínú ìfúntí wáìnì rẹ̀ Olúwa tẹ́ àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọbìnrin Juda.
16 For these things, am, I, weeping, Mine eye, mine eye, is running down with waters, for, far from me, is any who could comfort, could bring back my life, —My sons are amazed, for strong is the foe.
“Ìdí nìyí tí mo fi ń sọkún tí omijé sì ń dà lójú mi. Olùtùnú àti ẹni tí ó le mú ọkàn mi sọjí jìnnà sí mi, kò sí ẹni tí yóò dá ẹ̀mí mi padà. Àwọn ọmọ mi di aláìní nítorí ọ̀tá ti borí.”
17 Zion, hath spread forth, her hands, there is none to comfort her, Yahweh, hath given command, respecting Jacob, unto them who surround him—his adversaries, —Jerusalem, hath become as a removed woman, in their midst.
18 Righteous is Yahweh, for, against his bidding, had I rebelled, —Hear, I pray you, all ye peoples, and see my pain, My virgins and my young men, have gone into exile.
“Olóòtítọ́ ni Olúwa, ṣùgbọ́n mo ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí àṣẹ rẹ̀. Ẹ gbọ́, gbogbo ènìyàn; ẹ wò mí wò ìyà mi. Gbogbo ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin àti ọ̀dọ́mọbìnrin mi ni a ti kó lọ sí ìgbèkùn.
19 I called to my lovers, they, deceived me, My priests and mine elders, in the city, have breathed their last, —for they sought them food, that they might bring back their life.
“Mo pe àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ mi ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n dà mí. Àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àgbàgbà mi ṣègbé sínú ìlú nígbà tí wọ́n ń wá oúnjẹ tí yóò mú wọn wà láààyè.
20 See, O Yahweh, that I am in distress, Mine inward parts, are in ferment, My heart is turned within me, for I have obstinately rebelled, —Without, bereaveth the sword, Within, is like death,
“Olúwa, wò ó, bí mo ti wà nínú ìnira! Tí mo sì ń jẹ̀rora nínú mi, ìdààmú dé bá ọkàn mi nítorí pé a ti ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí mi gidigidi. Ní gbangba ni idà ń parun; ikú wà nínú ilé pẹ̀lú.
21 They have heard—that, sighing am, I, [and am saying] —There is none to comfort me, All my foes, —having heard of my calamity—have rejoiced, because, thou, hast done it, —thou hast brought in the day thou didst proclaim, So let them become like me.
“Àwọn ènìyàn ti gbọ́ ìrora mi, ṣùgbọ́n kò sí olùtùnú fún mi. Àwọn ọ̀tá mi ti gbọ́ ìparun mi; wọ́n yọ̀ sí ohun tí o ṣe. Kí o mú ọjọ́ tí o ti kéde, kí wọ́n le dàbí tèmi.
22 Let all their wickedness, come in, before thee, and deal thou severely with them, according as thou hast dealt severely with me, for all my transgressions; for many are my sighs, and, my heart, is sick.
“Jẹ́ kí ìwà ìkà wọn wá síwájú rẹ; jẹ wọ́n ní yà bí o ṣe jẹ mí ní yà nítorí gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi. Ìrora mi pọ̀ ọkàn mi sì rẹ̀wẹ̀sì.”
