Lamentations 1
1 How is seated alone, the city that abounded with people, hath become as a widow, —She who abounded among the nations was a princess among provinces, hath come under tribute.
१जो नगरी लोगों से भरपूर थी वह अब कैसी अकेली बैठी हुई है! वह क्यों एक विधवा के समान बन गई? वह जो जातियों की दृष्टि में महान और प्रान्तों में रानी थी, अब क्यों कर देनेवाली हो गई है।
2 She, weepeth sore, in the night, and, her tear, is on her cheek, She hath none to comfort her, of all her lovers, —All her friends, have betrayed her, have become her foes.
२रात को वह फूट फूटकर रोती है, उसके आँसू गालों पर ढलकते हैं; उसके सब यारों में से अब कोई उसे शान्ति नहीं देता; उसके सब मित्रों ने उससे विश्वासघात किया, और उसके शत्रु बन गए हैं।
3 Carried away captive is Judah—because of oppression, and because of great servitude, She, hath remained among the nations, hath found no place of rest, —All her pursuers, have overtaken her, between straits.
३यहूदा दुःख और कठिन दासत्व के कारण परदेश चली गई; परन्तु अन्यजातियों में रहती हुई वह चैन नहीं पाती; उसके सब खदेड़नेवालों ने उसकी सकेती में उसे पकड़ लिया है।
4 The ways to Zion, are mourning, because none come to her appointed feasts, All her gates, are desolate, her priests, are sighing, —her virgins, are grieved, and, she, it is bitter for her.
४सिय्योन के मार्ग विलाप कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि नियत पर्वों में कोई नहीं आता है; उसके सब फाटक सुनसान पड़े हैं, उसके याजक कराहते हैं; उसकी कुमारियाँ शोकित हैं, और वह आप कठिन दुःख भोग रही है।
5 Her adversaries have become chief, her foes, are at ease, for, Yahweh, hath grieved her, because of the multitude of her transgressions, —Her children, have gone into captivity, before the adversary.
५उसके द्रोही प्रधान हो गए, उसके शत्रु उन्नति कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि यहोवा ने उसके बहुत से अपराधों के कारण उसे दुःख दिया है; उसके बाल-बच्चों को शत्रु हाँक-हाँककर बँधुआई में ले गए।
6 Thus hath gone forth from the daughter of Zion, all that adorned her, —Her princes have become like harts that have found no pasture, and have gone strengthless before the pursuer.
६सिय्योन की पुत्री का सारा प्रताप जाता रहा है। उसके हाकिम ऐसे हिरनों के समान हो गए हैं जिन्हें कोई चरागाह नहीं मिलती; वे खदेड़नेवालों के सामने से बलहीन होकर भागते हैं।
7 Jerusalem hath remembered in the days of her humiliation and her fleeings—all her precious things, which have existed from the days of old, —Now that her people have been falling into the hand of the adversary, with none to help her, the adversaries have seen her, have mocked over her sabbath-keepings.
७यरूशलेम ने, इन दुःख भरे और संकट के दिनों में, जब उसके लोग द्रोहियों के हाथ में पड़े और उसका कोई सहायक न रहा, अपनी सब मनभावनी वस्तुओं को जो प्राचीनकाल से उसकी थीं, स्मरण किया है। उसके द्रोहियों ने उसको उजड़ा देखकर उपहास में उड़ाया है।
8 Jerusalem, hath grievously sinned, For this cause, unto exile, hath she been delivered, —All who used to honour her, have despised her, for they have descried her unseemliness, yea, she herself, hath sighed, and turned back.
८यरूशलेम ने बड़ा पाप किया, इसलिए वह अशुद्ध स्त्री सी हो गई है; जितने उसका आदर करते थे वे उसका निरादर करते हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने उसकी नंगाई देखी है; हाँ, वह कराहती हुई मुँह फेर लेती है।
9 Her impurity, is in her skirts, She hath not remembered her hereafter, Therefore hath she come down wonderfully, none to comfort her, —Behold, O Yahweh, my humiliation, that the foe, hath made himself great.
९उसकी अशुद्धता उसके वस्त्र पर है; उसने अपने अन्त का स्मरण न रखा; इसलिए वह भयंकर रीति से गिराई गई, और कोई उसे शान्ति नहीं देता है। हे यहोवा, मेरे दुःख पर दृष्टि कर, क्योंकि शत्रु मेरे विरुद्ध सफल हुआ है!
10 His hand, hath the adversary spread out, over all her precious things, —for she saw that, the nations, entered her sanctuary, as to whom thou didst command they should not enter—in the convocation—unto thee!
१०द्रोहियों ने उसकी सब मनभावनी वस्तुओं पर हाथ बढ़ाया है; हाँ, अन्यजातियों को, जिनके विषय में तूने आज्ञा दी थी कि वे तेरी सभा में भागी न होने पाएँगी, उनको उसने तेरे पवित्रस्थान में घुसा हुआ देखा है।
11 All her people, are sighing, seeking bread, They have given their precious things for food, to bring back life, —Behold, O Yahweh, and discern, that I have become worthless.
११उसके सब निवासी कराहते हुए भोजनवस्तु ढूँढ़ रहे हैं; उन्होंने अपना प्राण बचाने के लिये अपनी मनभावनी वस्तुएँ बेचकर भोजन मोल लिया है। हे यहोवा, दृष्टि कर, और ध्यान से देख, क्योंकि मैं तुच्छ हो गई हूँ।
12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Look around and see, whether there is pain like my pain, which is severely dealt out to me, —in that Yahweh, hath caused grief, in the day of the glow of his anger?
१२हे सब बटोहियों, क्या तुम्हें इस बात की कुछ भी चिन्ता नहीं? दृष्टि करके देखो, क्या मेरे दुःख से बढ़कर कोई और पीड़ा है जो यहोवा ने अपने क्रोध के दिन मुझ पर डाल दी है?
13 From on high, sent he fire, among my bones, and laid them prostrate, —He spread out a net for my feet, he made me turn back, he made me desolate, all the day, faint.
१३उसने ऊपर से मेरी हड्डियों में आग लगाई है, और वे उससे भस्म हो गईं; उसने मेरे पैरों के लिये जाल लगाया, और मुझ को उलटा फेर दिया है; उसने ऐसा किया कि मैं त्यागी हुई सी और रोग से लगातार निर्बल रहती हूँ।
14 The yoke of my transgressions, hath been bound, by his hand—They have intertwined themselves, have come up on my neck, it hath paralysed my strength, —My Lord, hath delivered me, into the hands of those against whom I cannot rise up.
१४उसने जूए की रस्सियों की समान मेरे अपराधों को अपने हाथ से कसा है; उसने उन्हें बटकर मेरी गर्दन पर चढ़ाया, और मेरा बल घटा दिया है; जिनका मैं सामना भी नहीं कर सकती, उन्हीं के वश में यहोवा ने मुझे कर दिया है।
15 My Lord, hath flouted at all my magnates, in my midst, He hath called against me a host, to crush my young men, —A winepress, hath My Lord trodden, to the virgin, the daughter of Judah.
१५यहोवा ने मेरे सब पराक्रमी पुरुषों को तुच्छ जाना; उसने नियत पर्व का प्रचार करके लोगों को मेरे विरुद्ध बुलाया कि मेरे जवानों को पीस डाले; यहूदा की कुमारी कन्या को यहोवा ने मानो कुण्ड में पेरा है।
16 For these things, am, I, weeping, Mine eye, mine eye, is running down with waters, for, far from me, is any who could comfort, could bring back my life, —My sons are amazed, for strong is the foe.
१६इन बातों के कारण मैं रोती हूँ; मेरी आँखों से आँसू की धारा बहती रहती है; क्योंकि जिस शान्तिदाता के कारण मेरा जी हरा भरा हो जाता था, वह मुझसे दूर हो गया; मेरे बच्चे अकेले हो गए, क्योंकि शत्रु प्रबल हुआ है।
17 Zion, hath spread forth, her hands, there is none to comfort her, Yahweh, hath given command, respecting Jacob, unto them who surround him—his adversaries, —Jerusalem, hath become as a removed woman, in their midst.
१७सिय्योन हाथ फैलाए हुए है, उसे कोई शान्ति नहीं देता; यहोवा ने याकूब के विषय में यह आज्ञा दी है कि उसके चारों ओर के निवासी उसके द्रोही हो जाएँ; यरूशलेम उनके बीच अशुद्ध स्त्री के समान हो गई है।
18 Righteous is Yahweh, for, against his bidding, had I rebelled, —Hear, I pray you, all ye peoples, and see my pain, My virgins and my young men, have gone into exile.
१८यहोवा सच्चाई पर है, क्योंकि मैंने उसकी आज्ञा का उल्लंघन किया है; हे सब लोगों, सुनो, और मेरी पीड़ा को देखो! मेरे कुमार और कुमारियाँ बँधुआई में चली गई हैं।
19 I called to my lovers, they, deceived me, My priests and mine elders, in the city, have breathed their last, —for they sought them food, that they might bring back their life.
१९मैंने अपने मित्रों को पुकारा परन्तु उन्होंने भी मुझे धोखा दिया; जब मेरे याजक और पुरनिये इसलिए भोजनवस्तु ढूँढ़ रहे थे कि खाने से उनका जी हरा हो जाए, तब नगर ही में उनके प्राण छूट गए।
20 See, O Yahweh, that I am in distress, Mine inward parts, are in ferment, My heart is turned within me, for I have obstinately rebelled, —Without, bereaveth the sword, Within, is like death,
२०हे यहोवा, दृष्टि कर, क्योंकि मैं संकट में हूँ, मेरी अंतड़ियाँ ऐंठी जाती हैं, मेरा हृदय उलट गया है, क्योंकि मैंने बहुत बलवा किया है। बाहर तो मैं तलवार से निर्वंश होती हूँ; और घर में मृत्यु विराज रही है।
21 They have heard—that, sighing am, I, [and am saying] —There is none to comfort me, All my foes, —having heard of my calamity—have rejoiced, because, thou, hast done it, —thou hast brought in the day thou didst proclaim, So let them become like me.
२१उन्होंने सुना है कि मैं कराहती हूँ, परन्तु कोई मुझे शान्ति नहीं देता। मेरे सब शत्रुओं ने मेरी विपत्ति का समाचार सुना है; वे इससे हर्षित हो गए कि तू ही ने यह किया है। परन्तु जिस दिन की चर्चा तूने प्रचार करके सुनाई है उसको तू दिखा, तब वे भी मेरे समान हो जाएँगे।
22 Let all their wickedness, come in, before thee, and deal thou severely with them, according as thou hast dealt severely with me, for all my transgressions; for many are my sighs, and, my heart, is sick.
२२उनकी सारी दुष्टता की ओर दृष्टि कर; और जैसा मेरे सारे अपराधों के कारण तूने मुझे दण्ड दिया, वैसा ही उनको भी दण्ड दे; क्योंकि मैं बहुत ही कराहती हूँ, और मेरा हृदय रोग से निर्बल हो गया है।
