Judges 3
1 Now, these, are the nations which Yahweh left, that he might, by them, put Israel to the proof, —all who had not known any of the wars of Canaan;
੧ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਣ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
2 that the generations of the sons of Israel might certainly get to know, by being taught to make war, —such, at least, as aforetime knew nothing thereof: —
੨ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਢੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਵੇ,
3 five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Zidonians, and the Hivites dwelling in Mount Lebanon, —from Mount Baal-hermon as far as the entering in of Hamath.
੩ਅਰਥਾਤ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ, ਸੀਦੋਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਆਲ-ਹਰਮੋਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਮਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ।
4 So then [these] were [left], that, by them, he might put Israel to the proof, —to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
੪ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਮੰਨਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।
5 And thus, the sons of Israel, dwelt in the midst of the Canaanites, —the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites;
੫ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ, ਫ਼ਰਿੱਜ਼ੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ
6 and took their daughters to be their wives, their own daughters moreover, gave they unto their sons, and they served their gods.
੬ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤੇ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
7 Thus did the sons of Israel the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, and forgat Yahweh their God, —and served the Baals and the Asherahs.
੭ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਆਲ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
8 Then kindled the anger of Yahweh upon Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim, king of Mesopotamia, —and the sons of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim, eight years.
੮ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੜਕਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੋਪੋਤਾਮੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੂਸ਼ਨ-ਰਿਸ਼ਾਤੈਮ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਠ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਕੂਸ਼ਨ-ਰਿਸ਼ਾਤੈਮ ਦੇ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਰਹੇ।
9 And the sons of Israel made outcry unto Yahweh, so Yahweh raised up a saviour unto the sons of Israel, who saved them, —even Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.
੯ਫਿਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਥਨੀਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਕਾਲੇਬ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਕਨਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਥਨੀਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ।
10 And the Spirit of Yahweh came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war, and Yahweh delivered into his hand, Chushan-rishathaim, king of Syria, —and his hand prevailed over Chushan-rishathaim.
੧੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਆਥਨੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੂਸ਼ਨ-ਰਿਸ਼ਾਤੈਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਕੂਸ਼ਨ-ਰਿਸ਼ਾਤੈਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ।
11 And the land had rest forty years, —and Othniel son of Kenaz, died.
੧੧ਤਦ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਰਹੀ, ਫਿਰ ਕਨਜ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਥਨੀਏਲ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।
12 And the sons of Israel again did the thing that was wicked, in the sight of Yahweh, —and Yahweh emboldened Eglon, king of Moab, against Israel, because they did the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh;
੧੨ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਬਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
13 and he gathered unto him, the sons of Ammon, and Amalek, —and came and smote Israel, and took possession of the city of palm-trees.
੧੩ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਖ਼ਜੂਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ
14 So the sons of Israel served Eglon king of Moab, eighteen years.
੧੪ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
15 And the sons of Israel made outcry unto Yahweh, and Yahweh raised up unto them a saviour, Ehud son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man left-handed, —and the sons of Israel sent, by his hand, a present, unto Eglon king of Moab.
੧੫ਫਿਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਗੇਰਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਖੱਬਾ ਸੀ, ਚੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਕੋਲ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
16 So Ehud made himself a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length, —and girded it under his raiment, upon his right thigh.
੧੬ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਲੰਮੀ ਦੋਧਾਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਬਣਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੱਟ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ।
17 So he offered the present unto Eglon, king of Moab, —now, Eglon, was an exceedingly fat man.
੧੭ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਅਗਲੋਨ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਟੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ।
18 And so it was, when he had made an end of offering the present, that he sent away the people who had been bearing the present;
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
19 but, he himself, turned back from the images that were by Gilgal, and said, A secret word, have I, unto thee, O king! And he said—Silence! Thereupon went out from his presence all who had been standing near him.
੧੯ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।” ਅਗਲੋਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਥੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਓ।” ਤਦ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ, ਸਭ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਏ।
20 And, Ehud, came in unto him, he, having been sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself, alone, and Ehud said, A divine word, have I, unto thee. So he arose from off his seat.
੨੦ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੀ, ਬੈਠਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
21 And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the sword from off his right thigh, —and thrust it into his body;
੨੧ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖੱਬਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੱਟ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁਸਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
22 and, the handle also, went in after the blade, and the flesh closed upon the blade, for he withdrew not the sword out of his body, —and he came out into the ante-chamber.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਸਤਾ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੱਸ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਰਬੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖੁੱਭ ਗਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ।
23 And, when Ehud came out into the porch, he closed the doors of the parlour upon him, and bolted them.
੨੩ਤਦ ਏਹੂਦ ਨੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਲਾ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
24 When, he, had come out, his servants, went in, and looked, and lo! the doors of the parlour were bolted, —so they said, Surely he covereth his feet, in the summer chamber.
੨੪ਜਦ ਉਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਗਲੋਨ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬੰਦ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਹ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਖ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
25 But, though they tarried a long time, yet lo! he opened not the doors of the parlour, —so they took the key, and opened [them], when lo! their lord, fallen to the ground dead.
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਚਾਬੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਰਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ!
26 But, Ehud, escaped while they delayed, —yea, he, passed the images, and escaped into Seirah.
੨੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਡੀਕਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਹੂਦ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਈਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ।
27 And so it was, when he came, that he blew with a horn, throughout the hill country of Ephraim, —and the sons of Israel came down with him, out of the hill country, he, being before them.
੨੭ਫਿਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਵਜਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ।
28 And he said unto them—Come down after me, for Yahweh hath delivered your enemies, the Moabites, into your hand. So they came down after him, and captured the fords of the Jordan, towards Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
੨੮ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ, ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਰ ਨਾ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
29 And they smote of Moab, at that time, about ten thousand men, every one a mighty man, and every one a man of valour, —and, there escaped not a man.
੨੯ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੱਗਭੱਗ ਦਸ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਤਕੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਬਚਿਆ।
30 And Moab was subdued on that day, under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest eighty years, and Ehud judged them until his death.
੩੦ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੋਆਬ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੀ।
31 And, after him, was Shamgar, son of Anath, who smote of the Philistines, six hundred men, with an ox-goad, —and, he also, saved Israel.
੩੧ਏਹੂਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਨਾਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਮਗਰ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਦੀ ਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ।
