Joshua 16
1 Then came out the lot, for the sons of Joseph, from the Jordan by Jericho, at the waters of Jericho, eastward, —the desert, going up from Jericho, through the hill country to Bethel;
O lote saiu para as crianças de José do Jordão em Jericó, nas águas de Jericó no leste, até mesmo no deserto, subindo de Jericó pelo país das colinas até Betel.
2 and it goeth out from Bethel towards Luz, —and passeth over unto the boundary of the Archites at Ataroth;
Saiu de Betel para Luz, e passou pela fronteira dos Arquitetos para Ataroth;
3 and descendeth westward, unto the boundary of the Japhletites, as far as the boundary of Bethhoron the nether, and as far as Gezer, —and the extensions thereof are to the sea.
e desceu para oeste até a fronteira do Japhletites, para a fronteira de Beth Horon, na parte inferior, e para Gezer; e terminou no mar.
4 So the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.
Os filhos de Joseph, Manasseh e Ephraim, tomaram sua herança.
5 And the boundary of the sons of Ephraim, by their families, was, —yea the boundary of their inheritance on the east, was Ataroth-addar, as far as Beth-horon the upper;
This era a fronteira dos filhos de Efraim, de acordo com suas famílias. A fronteira de sua herança para o leste era Ataroth Addar, para Beth Horon, a superior.
6 and the boundary goeth out westward at Michmethath, on the north, then the boundary bendeth round easward, to Taanath-shiloh, —and passeth by it on the east to Janoah;
A fronteira foi para o oeste, em Michmethath, ao norte. A fronteira girou em direção ao leste para Taanath Shiloh, e passou ao longo dela ao leste de Janoah.
7 and goeth down from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah, —and toucheth upon Jericho, and goeth out at the Jordan.
Desceu de Janoah para Ataroth, para Naarah, chegou a Jericó, e saiu no Jordão.
8 From Tappuah, runneth the boundary along westward, to the ravine of Kanah, and the extensions thereof are to the sea, —this, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, by their families;
De Tappuah, a fronteira seguiu para oeste até o riacho de Kanah; e terminou no mar. Esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Efraim de acordo com suas famílias;
9 together with the cities which were separated for the sons of Ephraim, in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, —all the cities, with their villages.
together com as cidades que foram separadas para os filhos de Efraim no meio da herança dos filhos de Manasseh, todas as cidades com suas aldeias.
10 But they did not dispossess the Canaanites who were dwelling in Gazer, —so the Canaanites have dwelt in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and have become tributary servants.
Eles não expulsaram os cananeus que viviam em Gezer; mas os cananeus habitam no território de Efraim até hoje, e se tornaram servos para fazer trabalhos forçados.
