Joshua 16

1 Then came out the lot, for the sons of Joseph, from the Jordan by Jericho, at the waters of Jericho, eastward, —the desert, going up from Jericho, through the hill country to Bethel;

Padł też los synom Józefowym od Jordanu ku Jerychu przy wodach Jerycha na wschód słońca, puszcza, która idzie od Jerycha przez górę Betel.

2 and it goeth out from Bethel towards Luz, —and passeth over unto the boundary of the Archites at Ataroth;

A wychodzi od Betel do Luzy, a idzie do granicy Archy, do Attarot.

3 and descendeth westward, unto the boundary of the Japhletites, as far as the boundary of Bethhoron the nether, and as far as Gezer, —and the extensions thereof are to the sea.

Potem się ciągnie ku morzu do granicy Jaflety, aż do granicy Bet Horonu dolnego, i aż do Gazer, a kończy się aż u morza.

4 So the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.

I wzięli dziedzictwo synowie Józefowi, Manase i Efraim.

5 And the boundary of the sons of Ephraim, by their families, was, —yea the boundary of their inheritance on the east, was Ataroth-addar, as far as Beth-horon the upper;

A była granica synów Efraimowych według domów ich; była mówię granica dziedzictwa ich na wschód słońca od Attarot Adar aż do Bet Horon wyższego.

6 and the boundary goeth out westward at Michmethath, on the north, then the boundary bendeth round easward, to Taanath-shiloh, —and passeth by it on the east to Janoah;

I wychodzi ta granica do morza od Machmeta ku północy, a idzie kołem ta granica pod wschód słońca do Tanat Selo, i przechodzi ją od wschodu aż do Janoe;

7 and goeth down from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah, —and toucheth upon Jericho, and goeth out at the Jordan.

I ciągnie się od Janoe do Attarot i Naarata, a przychodzi do Jerycha, a wychodzi ku Jordanowi.

8 From Tappuah, runneth the boundary along westward, to the ravine of Kanah, and the extensions thereof are to the sea, —this, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, by their families;

Od Tafua bieży ta granica ku zachodowi do potoku Kana, a kończy się przy morzu. Toć jest dziedzictwo pokolenia synów Efraimowych według domów ich.

9 together with the cities which were separated for the sons of Ephraim, in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, —all the cities, with their villages.

Miasta też oddzielone synom Efraimowym były w pośród dziedzictwa synów Manasesowych, wszystkie miasta i wsi ich.

10 But they did not dispossess the Canaanites who were dwelling in Gazer, —so the Canaanites have dwelt in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and have become tributary servants.

I nie wygnali Chananejczyka, mieszkającego w Gazer; i mieszkał Chananejczyk w pośrodku Efraimitów aż do dnia tego, i hołdował im, dań dawając.
