< Joshua 15 >
1 So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
Omugabo gw’abaana ba Yuda ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali bwe baakuba akalulu, baaweebwa ekitundu okutuuka ku nsalo ya Edomu, ku lukoola lwa Zini, ku nkomerero y’oluuyi olw’obukiikaddyo.
2 so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
N’ensalo yaabwe ey’oluuyi olwo okuva ku Nnyanja ey’Omunnyo w’eva, ku kikono ekitunudde mu bukiikaddyo;
3 and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
n’esala wansi w’ekkubo eririnnya ku Akkulabimu n’eyita okutuuka ku Zini n’erinnya okuyita wansi wa Kadesubanea, n’eyita kumpi ne Kezulooni, n’erinnya ku Addali, n’ekyamira ku Kaluka;
4 and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
n’eyita ku Azumoni n’ekoma ku mugga ogw’e Misiri, n’eryoka esibira ku nnyanja. Eno ye yali ensalo yaabwe ey’obukiikaddyo.
5 And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
N’ensalo yaabwe ey’obuvanjuba yali nnyanja ey’obukiikakkono. Kyali kikono kya Yoludaani we guyiyira ku Nnyanja ey’Omunnyo. N’ensalo ey’obukiikakkono kyali kikono kya nnyanja Yoludaani we guyiyiramu.
6 And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
N’eyambuka n’eyita ku Besukogula n’eyita ku luuyi lw’ebuvanjuba bwa Besualaba n’eyambuka okutuuka ku jjinja lya Bokani omwana wa Lewubeeni.
7 and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
Era n’erinnya ku Debiri okuva mu kiwonvu Akoli, n’egenda ku luuyi olw’obukiikakkono, n’edda e Girugaali emitala w’ekkubo eryambuka ku Adummimu, ekiri emitala w’omugga mu bukiikaddyo, n’etuuka ku nsalo ku mazzi ag’e Ensemesi, n’esala n’ekoma ku Enerogeri. Awo n’eryoka eyita ku kiwonvu kya Kinomu ku luuyi lw’ebugwanjuba ekyali ku nkomerero ey’ekiwonvu kya Lefayimu ku luuyi olw’obukiikakkono.
8 then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
Awo n’eryoka eva ku kiwonvu ky’omwana wa Kinomu n’etuuka ku njegoyego za Yebusi ku luuyi olw’obukiikaddyo ye Yerusaalemi, ne yeeyongera ku ntikko y’olusozi oluli w’okkira mu kiwonvu kya Kinomu ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba, ku nkomerero y’ekiwonvu kya Lefayimu mu bukiikakkono;
9 and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
ne yeeyongera okuva ku ntikko y’olusozi n’etuuka ku luzzi olw’amazzi ga Nefutoa, ne yeeyongerayo n’etuuka ku bibuga eby’oku lusozi Efuloni, n’etuuka ku Baala, ye Kiriyasuyalimu,
10 then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
n’ewetamu okuva e Baala ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba n’etuuka ku lusozi Sayiri n’eyita n’etuuka ku mabbali g’olusozi Yealimu ku luuyi olw’omu bukiikakkono, ye Kyesaloni, n’ekka ku Besusemesi, n’eyita ku Timuna,
11 then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
n’egenda ku mabbali ag’e Ekuloni mu bukiikakkono, n’ekka ku Sikkeroni n’etuuka ku lusozi Baala, n’ekoma ku Yabuneeri, ne ku nnyanja.
12 And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
Ensalo ey’ebugwanjuba yali Ennyanja Ennene n’olubalama lwayo. Eyo ye yali ensalo y’abaana ba Yuda ku njuyi zonna ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali.

15 And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
N’ava eyo n’alumba abaali mu Debiri, edda eyayitibwanga Kiriasuseferi.
16 Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
Kalebu n’agamba nti, “Anaakuba Kiriasuseferi n’akiwamba ndimuwa muwala wange Akusa amuwase.”
17 And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
Osunieri omwana wa Kenazi, muganda wa Kalebu, n’akikuba, Kalebu n’amuwa Akusa muwala we amuwase.
18 And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
Awo bwe yajja gy’ali, n’amugamba asabe kitaawe ennimiro. Bwe yava ku ndogoyi ye, Kalebu n’amubuuza nti, “Kiki kyoyagala nkukolere?”
19 And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
N’addamu nti, “Nsaba onnyambe nga bwe wampa ettaka mu Negebu, ompe n’ensulo z’amazzi.” Kalebu n’amuwa ensulo ez’engulu n’ez’emmanga.
