Joshua 15
1 So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
A Júda fiai nemzetségének sors által való része pedig az ő családjaik szerint ez vala: Edomnak határa felé a Czin pusztája délre, a déli határnak végén.
2 so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
Vala pedig az ő déli határuk a Sóstengernek szélétől, a tengernyelvtől fogva, a mely délfelé fordul.
3 and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
És halad délre az Akrabbim hágónak, majd átmegy Czin felé, és felmegy délről Kádes-Barneának, átmegy Hesronnak, felmegy Adárnak és kerül Karka felé;
4 and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
Majd átmegy Asmonnak és halad Égyiptom patakának. A határ szélei pedig a tengernél vannak. Ez a ti határotok délre.
5 And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
Napkelet felé pedig a Sóstenger a határ a Jordán végéig; az északi rész határa pedig a tengernyelvtől, a Jordán végétől kezdődik.
6 And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
És felmegy ez a határ Béth-Hoglának, és átmegy északra Béth-Arabán majd felmegy ez a határ Rúben fiának, Bohánnak kövéhez.
7 and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
És felmegy ez a határ Debirbe is az Akor völgyéből, és északnak fordul Gilgál felé, a mely átellenében van az Adummim hágójának, a mely a pataktól délfelé esik. És átmegy a határ az Én-semes vizeire és tova halad a Rógel forrása felé.
8 then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
Azután felmegy a határ a Hinnom fiának völgyén, Jebuzeusnak, azaz Jeruzsálemnek déli oldala felé; felmegy továbbá e határ a hegynek tetejére, a mely átellenben van a Hinnom völgyével napnyugat felé, a mely északra van a Refaim völgyének szélén.
9 and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
És hajlik e határ a hegynek tetejétől a Neftoáh víznek kútfejéhez és kimegy az Efron hegyének városai felé; majd hajlik e határ Baalának, azaz Kirjáth-Jeárimnak.
10 then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
Baalától pedig fordul e határ napnyugotnak a Szeír-hegy felé, és átmegy északnak a Jeárim-hegy oldala felé, azaz Kesalon felé és alámegy Béth-Semesnek és átmegy Timnának.
11 then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
Majd tova megy e határ Ekron északi oldala felé, és hajlik e határ Sikkeronnak, és átmegy a Baala hegynek, és tova megy Jabnéel felé. A határ szélei pedig a tengernél vannak.
12 And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
A napnyugati határ pedig a nagy tenger és melléke. Ez Júda fiainak határa köröskörül az ő házoknépe szerint.
13 And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
Kálebnek, a Jefunné fiának pedig a Júda fiai között ada részt, az Úrnak Józsuéhoz való szavai szerint; Kirjáth-Arbának, Anák atyjának városát, azaz Hebront.
14 And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
És kiűzé onnan Káleb Anáknak három fiát: Sésait, Ahimánt és Tálmait, Anák gyermekeit.
15 And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
És felméne innét Debir lakói ellen, Debirnek neve pedig azelőtt Kirjáth-Széfer volt.
16 Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
És monda Káleb: A ki megveri Kirjáth-Széfert és elfoglalja azt, néki adom Akszát, az én leányomat feleségül.
17 And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
Elfoglala pedig azt Othniél, Kénáznak, a Káleb testvérének fia; és néki adá Akszát, az ő leányát feleségül.
18 And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
És lőn, hogy a mikor eljöve az, biztatá őt, hogy kérjen az ő atyjától mezőt. Leszálla azért a szamárról; Káleb pedig monda néki: Mi bajod?
19 And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
Ő pedig monda: Adj áldást nékem! Mivelhogy száraz földre helyeztél engem, adj azért nékem vízforrásokat is. És néki adá a felső forrást és az alsó forrást.
20 This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
Ez a Júda fiai nemzetségének öröksége az ő családjaik szerint.
21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,
A Júda fiai nemzetségének városai pedig a déli végtől kezdve Edom határa felé valának: Kabseél, Éder és Jágur;
22 and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —
Kina, Dimóna és Adada;
23 and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,
Kedes, Hásor és Ithnán;
24 Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,
Zif, Télem és Bealóth;
25 and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;
Hásor-Hadatha és Kerioth-Hesron, azaz Hásor;
26 Amam and Shema, and Moladah,
Amam, Séma és Móláda;
27 and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.
Hasar-Gaddah, Hesmón és Béth-Pelet;
28 and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,
Hasar-Suál, Beer-Seba és Bizjotheja;
29 Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,
Baála, Ijjim és Eczem;
30 and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,
Elthólád, Keszil és Hormah;
31 and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
Siklág, Madmanna és Szanszanna;
32 and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.

33 In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,

34 and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
Jármut, Adullám, Szókó és Azéka;
36 and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.
Saáraim, Adithaim, Gedéra és Gederóthaim. Tizennégy város és azok falui.
37 Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
Senán, Hadása és Migdal-Gad;
38 and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
Dilán, Miczpe és Jokteél;
39 Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,
Lákis, Boczkát és Eglon;
40 and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,
Kabbon, Lahmász és Kitlis;
41 and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.
Gedéróth, Béth-Dágon, Naama és Makkéda. Tizenhat város és ezeknek falui.
42 Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,
Libna, Ether és Asán;
43 and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,
Jifta, Asná és Neczib;
44 and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.
Keila, Akzib és Marésa. Kilencz város és ezeknek falui.
45 Ekron with her towns, and her villages.
Ekron, ennek mezővárosai és falui.
46 From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.
Ekrontól fogva egész a tengerig mind azok, a melyek Asdód mellett vannak, és azoknak falui.
47 Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.
Asdód, ennek mezővárosai és falui; Gáza, ennek mezővárosai és falui; Égyiptom patakjáig, és a nagy tenger és melléke.
48 And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,
A hegységen pedig: Sámír, Jathír és Szókó;
49 and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,
Danna, Kirjáth-Szanna, azaz Debir;
50 and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
Anáb, Estemót és Anim;
51 and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.
Gósen, Hólon és Giló. Tizenegy város és ezeknek falui.
52 Arab and Rumah and Eshan,
Aráb, Dúma és Esán;
53 and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,
Janum, Béth-Tappuah és Aféka;
54 and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.
Humta, Kirjáth-Arba, azaz Hebron és Czihor. Kilencz város és ezeknek falui.
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,
Maón, Karmel, Zif és Júta;
56 and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
Jezréel, Jokdeám és Zánoah;
57 Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.
Kajin, Gibea és Timna. Tíz város és ezeknek falui.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
Halhul, Béth-Czúr és Gedor;
59 and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.
Maarát, Béth-Anóth és Elthekon. Hat város és ezeknek falui.
60 Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.
Kirjáth-Baál, azaz Kirjáth-Jeárim, és Rabba. Két város és ezeknek falui.
61 In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
A pusztában: Béth-Arábá, Middin és Szekáka;
62 and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.
Nibsán, Ir-Melah és Én-Gedi. Hat város és ezeknek falui.
63 But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
De a Jebuzeusokat, Jeruzsálemnek lakóit, Júda fiai nem bírták kiűzni, azért laknak ott a Jebuzeusok Júda fiaival együtt Jeruzsálemben, mind e mai napig.
