Joshua 15
1 So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
Und das Los des Stammes der Kinder Juda nach ihren Geschlechtern lag an der Grenze von Zin gegen Mittag, am südlichen Ende.
2 so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
Und ihre südliche Grenze beginnt am Ende des Salzmeeres, bei der Zunge, die mittagwärts reicht,
3 and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
und zieht sich hinaus gegen Mittag zur Höhe von Akrabbim und hinüber gen Zin und wieder von Mittag gen Kadesch-Barnea hinauf und nach Hezron hin und gen Adar hinauf und wendet sich gegen Karka;
4 and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
dann geht sie hinüber nach Azmon und hinaus an den Bach Ägyptens, so daß das Meer das Ende der Grenze bildet. Das sei eure südliche Grenze!
5 And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
Aber die östliche Grenze ist das Salzmeer bis zur Mündung des Jordan. Die Grenze des nördlichen Teils aber beginnt bei der Zunge des Meeres an der Mündung des Jordan
6 And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
und geht hinauf gen Beth-Hogla und zieht sich von Mitternacht gen Beth-Araba und kommt herauf zum Stein Bohan,
7 and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
des Sohnes Rubens, und geht von dem Tal Achor hinauf gen Debir und wendet sich nördlich gegen Gilgal, welches der Anhöhe Adummim gegenüber liegt, das südlich an dem Bache liegt. Darnach geht sie zu dem Wasser En-Semes und kommt hinaus zum Brunnen Rogel,
8 then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
geht darnach hinauf zum Tal des Sohnes Hinnoms, an der Seite der Jebusiter gegen Mittag, das ist Jerusalem; und sie kommt herauf zur Spitze des Berges, der westlich vor dem Tal Hinnom liegt und nördlich an das Ende des Tales Rephaim stößt.
9 and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
Darnach kommt sie von der Spitze desselben Berges zu der Quelle des Wassers Nephtoach und kommt heraus zu den Städten des Gebirges Ephron und neigt sich gen Baala, das ist Kirjat-Jearim.
10 then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
Und die Grenze wendet sich herum von Baala gegen Abend zum Gebirge Seir und geht hinüber nach dem nördlichen Bergrücken Jearim, das ist Kesalon, und kommt herab gen Beth-Semes und geht nach Timna;
11 then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
sodann läuft die Grenze weiter nördlich bis zum Bergrücken von Ekron und zieht sich gen Sikron und geht über den Berg Baala und kommt heraus gen Jabneel; also daß das Meer das Ende dieser Grenze bildet.
12 And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
Die Grenze aber gegen Abend ist das große Meer und sein Gestade. Das ist die Grenze der Kinder Juda, nach ihren Geschlechtern, ringsum.
13 And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
Aber Kaleb, dem Sohn Jephunnes, gab er sein Teil unter den Kindern Juda nach dem Befehl des HERRN an Josua, nämlich die Stadt Arba, des Vaters Enaks, das ist Hebron.
14 And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
Und Kaleb vertrieb von dannen die drei Söhne Enaks, Sesai, Achiman und Talmai, die Enakskinder,
15 And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
und zog von dannen hinauf zu den Einwohnern von Debir. Debir aber hieß vor Zeiten Kirjat-Sepher.
16 Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
Und Kaleb sprach: Wer Kirjat-Sepher schlägt und erobert, dem will ich meine Tochter Achsa zum Eheweib geben!
17 And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
Da gewann sie Otniel, der Sohn Kenas, des Bruders Kalebs; und er gab ihm seine Tochter Achsa zum Eheweib.
18 And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
Und es begab sich, als sie einzog, trieb sie ihn an, von ihrem Vater einen Acker zu fordern. Und sie sprang vom Esel. Da sprach Kaleb zu ihr:
19 And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
Was hast du? Sie sprach: Gib mir einen Segen, denn du hast mir ein dürres Land gegeben; gib mir auch Wasserquellen! Da gab er ihr Wasserquellen, die obern und die untern.
20 This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes der Kinder Juda nach ihren Geschlechtern.
21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,
Und die äußersten Städte des Stammes der Kinder Juda, gegen die Grenze der Edomiter im Süden, waren diese: Kabzeel,
22 and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —
Eder, Jagur, Kina, Dimona, Adada,
23 and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,
Kedesch, Hazor, Jitnan, Siph, Telem,
24 Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,
Bealot, Hazor-Hadatta, Keriot-Hezron,
25 and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;
welches Hazor ist,
26 Amam and Shema, and Moladah,
Amam, Sema, Molada,
27 and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.
Hazar-Gadda, Hesmon, Beth-Pelet,
28 and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,
Hazar-Schual, Beer-Seba, Bisjot-Ja,
29 Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,
Baala, Jjim, Ezem, Eltolad, Kesil,
30 and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,
Horma, Ziklag, Madmanna, Sansanna,
31 and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
Lebaot, Silhim, Ain und Rimmon.
32 and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.
Das sind neunundzwanzig Städte und ihre Dörfer.
33 In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,
In den Tälern aber waren Estaol,
34 and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
Zorea, Asna, Sanoach, En-Gannim,
35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
Tappuach, Enam, Jarmut,
36 and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.
Adullam, Socho, Aseka, Saaraim, Aditaim, Gereda, Gederotaim;
37 Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
das sind vierzehn Städte und ihre Dörfer.
38 and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
Zenan, Hadasa, Migdal-Gad, Dilean,
39 Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,
Mizpe, Jokteel, Lachis, Bozkat, Eglon,
40 and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,
Kabbon, Lachmas, Kitlis, Gederot,
41 and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.
Beth-Dagon, Naama, Makkeda. Das sind sechzehn Städte und ihre Dörfer.
42 Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,
Libna, Eter, Asan, Jiphtach, Asna, Nezib,
43 and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,
Kegila, Achsib, Maresa.
44 and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.
Das sind neun Städte und ihre Dörfer.
45 Ekron with her towns, and her villages.
Ekron, mit seinen Dörfern und Höfen.
46 From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.
Von Ekron und bis an das Meer alles, was an Asdod grenzt und ihre Dörfer:
47 Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.
Asdod mit seinen Dörfern und Höfen, Gaza mit seinen Höfen und Dörfern, bis an den Bach Ägyptens, und das große Meer ist seine Grenze.
48 And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,
Auf dem Gebirge aber waren Samir, Jattir, Socho,
49 and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,
Danna, Kirjat-Sanna, welches Debir ist,
50 and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
Anab, Estemo, Anim, Gosen, Holon, Gilo.
51 and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.
Das sind elf Städte und ihre Dörfer.
52 Arab and Rumah and Eshan,
Arab, Duma, Esean,
53 and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,
Janum, Beth-Tappuach, Apheka, Humta,
54 and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.
Kirjat-Arba, das ist Hebron, Zior. Das sind neun Städte und ihre Dörfer.
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,
Maon, Karmel, Siph, Juta, Jesreel,
56 and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
Jokdeam, Sanoach, Kain, Gibea, Timna.
57 Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.
Das sind zehn Städte und ihre Dörfer.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-Zur, Gedor, Maarat, Beth-Anot und Eltekon.
59 and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.
Das sind sechs Städte und ihre Dörfer.
60 Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.
Kirjat-Baal, das ist Kirjat-Jearim, und Rabba. Das sind zwei Städte und ihre Dörfer.
61 In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
In der Wüste aber waren Beth-Araba, Middin,
62 and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.
Sechacha, Nibsan und die Salzstadt und Engedi. Das sind sechs Städte und ihre Dörfer.
63 But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
Die Kinder Juda aber konnten die Jebusiter, welche zu Jerusalem wohnten, nicht vertreiben. Also wohnten die Jebusiter mit den Kindern Juda zu Jerusalem bis auf diesen Tag.
