Joshua 13
1 Now, Joshua, was old, advanced in days, —so then Yahweh said unto him—Thou, art old, advanced in days, and, much the larger part of the land, remaineth to be possessed.
Cuando Josué era anciano, avanzado en años, Yavé le dijo: Tú eres anciano, avanzado en años, y todavía queda muchísima tierra por conquistar.
2 This, is the land that remaineth, —all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshuri;
Esta es la tierra que queda: Todos los territorios de los filisteos y de los gesuritas.
3 from the Shihor which faceth Egypt, even as far as the boundary of Ekron, northward, to the Canaanites, is it counted, —five princes of Philistines, the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, also the Avvim
Desde Sihor, al oriente de Egipto, hasta el límite de Ecrón al norte, que se considera como cananeo; cinco principados de los filisteos: el gazeíta, el asdodita, el asquelonita, el guitita, el acronita y los heveos;
4 on the south: all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongeth to the Zidonians, as far as Aphek, —as far as the boundary of the Amorites;
al sur, toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Meara, que pertenece a los sidonios, hasta Afec, hasta el límite del amorreo,
5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all the Lebanon, to the rising of the sun, from Baal-gad, under Mount Hermon, —as far as the entering in of Hamath:
y la tierra de los giblitas; todo el Líbano hacia donde sale el sol, desde Baal-gad al pie de la montaña Hermón, hasta entrar en Hamat.
6 all the inhabitants of the hill country, from the Lebanon as far as Misrephoth-maim—all the Zidonians, I myself, will dispossess them from before the sons of Israel, —nevertheless, assign thou it by lot unto Israel, for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
Todos los que habitan en la región montañosa desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot-maim, todos los sidonios, los echaré de delante de los hijos de Israel. Tú solo repártela por sorteo como herencia a Israel, como te di mandamiento.
7 Now, therefore, apportion this land as an inheritance, unto the nine tribes, —and the half tribe of Manasseh.
Reparte esta tierra como herencia a las nueve tribus y a la media tribu de Manasés.
8 With them, the, Reubenites and the Gadites, received their inheritance, —which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan, eastward, as Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto them:
La otra mitad, los rubenitas y los gaditas recibieron la herencia que Moisés les dio al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente, según les repartió Moisés, esclavo de Yavé:
9 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon, and the city, which is in the midst of the ravine, and all the table-land of Medeba, as far as Dibon;
desde Aroer, a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura de Medeba, hasta Dibón;
10 and all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —as far as the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
todas las ciudades de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, hasta los límites de los hijos de Amón;
11 and Gilead, and the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan, as far as Salecah;
Galaad y el territorio de los gesuritas y los maquitas, todo la montaña Hermón y todo Basán hasta Salca;
12 all the kingdom of Og, in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, —he, being left of the remnant of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them;
todo el reino de Og, en Basán, quien reinó en Astarot y Edrei, quien era el último sobreviviente de los refaítas, a los cuales Moisés derrotó y les quitó la posesión.
13 the sons of Israel, however, did not dispossess, the Geshurites or the Maacathites, —but Geshur and Maacath have remained in the midst of Israel until this day.
Sin embargo, los hijos de Israel no echaron a los gesuritas ni a los maquitas, por tanto Gesur y Maacat viven en medio de Israel hasta hoy.
14 Howbeit, unto the tribe of Levi, gave he no inheritance, —the altar-flames of Yahweh God of Israel, are his inheritance, as he spake unto him.
Solo a la tribu de Leví no dio herencia. Su posesión son los sacrificios quemados a Yavé, ʼElohim de Israel, como Él les dijo.
15 Thus then Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of the sons of Reuben by their families;
Moisés les dio a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén según sus familias.
16 and their boundary was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon and the city which is in the midst of the ravine and all the table-land by Medeba;
Su territorio fue: desde Aroer, a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura alrededor de Medeba;
17 Heshbon and all her cities which are on the table-land, —Dibon and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon;
Hesbón y todas las ciudades que están en la llanura: Dibón, Bamot-baal, Bet-baal-meón,
18 and Jahaz and Kedemoth and Maphaath;
Jaaza, Cademot, Mefaat,
19 and Kiriathaim and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar on the mount of the vale;
Quiriataim, Sibma, Zaret-hasahar, en la colina del Valle,
20 and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
Bet-peor, las laderas de la montaña Pisga y Bethayesimot;
21 and all the cities of the table-land, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —whom Moses smote—with the princes of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, dukes of Sihon dwelling in the land;
todas las ciudades de la llanura y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, al cual Moisés derrotó, como también a los jefes de Madián: Evi, Requem, Sur, Hur y Reba, príncipes de Sehón que vivían en la tierra.
22 Balaam also son of Beor, the diviner, did the sons of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.
Entre el resto de los asesinados por ellos, los hijos de Israel también mataron a filo de espada a Balaam, hijo de Beor, el adivino.
23 And so the boundary of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and district. This, is the inheritance of the sons of Reuben by their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
El límite de los hijos de Rubén fue el Jordán con su ribera. Tal fue la heredad de los hijos de Rubén, según sus familias, ciudades y aldeas.
24 And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of Gad, unto the sons of Gad by their families;
Moisés [también] dio su parte a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad, según sus familias.
25 and their boundary was—Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, —as far as Aroer, which faceth Rabbah;
Su territorio fue: Jazer y todas las ciudades de Galaad, la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón, hasta Aroer frente a Rabá;
26 and from Heshbon as far as Ramath-mizpeh, and Botonim, —and from Mahanaim as far as the boundary of Debir;
y desde Hesbón hasta Ramat-mizpa y Betonim, y desde Mahanaim hasta el límite de Debir;
27 and in the valley—Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and district, —as far as the end of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan eastward.
y en el valle: Bet-aram, Bet-nimrá, Sucot y Zafón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón, con el Jordán como su límite hasta el extremo del mar de Cineret, al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente.
28 This, is the inheritance of the sons of Gad, by their families, —the cities and the villages thereof.
Tal fue la herencia de los hijos de Gad, según sus familias, estas ciudades y sus aldeas.
29 And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —so it belonged to the half tribe of the sons of Manasseh by their families;
Moisés también dio herencia a la media tribu de Manasés, según sus familias.
30 and their boundary was—from Mahanaim all Bashan all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan and all the Encampments of Jair which are in Bashan three-score cities;
Su territorio fue desde Mahanaim, todo Basán, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basán, y todas las aldeas de Jaír que están en Basán, 60 poblaciones.
31 and, half Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, pertained to the sons of Machir son of Manasseh, to half the sons of Machir by their families.
La mitad de Galaad, Astarot y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, fue para los hijos de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, para la mitad de los hijos de Maquir, según sus familias.
32 These, are [the portions] which Moses gave for inheritance, in the waste plains of Moab, —over the Jordan by Jericho eastward.
Esto es lo que Moisés repartió como heredad en las llanuras de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, frente a Jericó, al oriente.
33 But, unto the tribe of Levi, Moses gave no inheritance, —Yahweh God of Israel, he, was their inheritance, as he spake unto them.
Pero Moisés no le dio herencia a la tribu de Leví, porque Yavé, ʼElohim de Israel, es su herencia, como Él les dijo.
