< Joshua 13 >
1 Now, Joshua, was old, advanced in days, —so then Yahweh said unto him—Thou, art old, advanced in days, and, much the larger part of the land, remaineth to be possessed.
Awo Yoswa bwe yali ng’akaddiye ng’amaze emyaka mingi. Mukama n’amugamba nti, “Okaddiye omaze emyaka mingi naye, wakyaliwo ensi nnyingi nnyo ez’okuwangula.
2 This, is the land that remaineth, —all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshuri;
“Zino z’ensi ezikyaliwo: “ensi yonna ey’Abafirisuuti n’Abaseguli
3 from the Shihor which faceth Egypt, even as far as the boundary of Ekron, northward, to the Canaanites, is it counted, —five princes of Philistines, the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, also the Avvim
okuva ku mugga Sikoli oguli ebuvanjuba wa Misiri, n’okwambukira ddala ku nsalo y’e Ekuloni emanyiddwa nga ey’Abakanani, eriyo abafuzi bataano ab’Abafirisuuti, ow’e Gaza, n’ow’e Asudodi, n’ow’e Asukulooni, n’ow’e Gaasi n’ow’e Ekuloni awamu n’Abavi.
4 on the south: all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongeth to the Zidonians, as far as Aphek, —as far as the boundary of the Amorites;
Okuva mu bukiikaddyo ensi yonna ey’Abakanani, ne Meyala ekya Basidoni, okutuuka ku Afiki, ku nsalo ey’Abamoli,
5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all the Lebanon, to the rising of the sun, from Baal-gad, under Mount Hermon, —as far as the entering in of Hamath:
n’ensi y’Abagebali, ne Lebanooni yonna, ne ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba, n’okuva ku Baalugadi wansi w’olusozi Kerumooni okutuuka w’oyingirira e Kamasi.
6 all the inhabitants of the hill country, from the Lebanon as far as Misrephoth-maim—all the Zidonians, I myself, will dispossess them from before the sons of Israel, —nevertheless, assign thou it by lot unto Israel, for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
“N’abantu bonna ab’omu nsozi za Lebanooni okutuuka ku Misurefosumayima, be Basidoni bonna; nze kennyini ndibagoba mbaggye mu maaso g’abaana ba Isirayiri. Kakasa nti ensi eno ogigabira abaana ba Isirayiri nga bwe nakulagira.
7 Now, therefore, apportion this land as an inheritance, unto the nine tribes, —and the half tribe of Manasseh.
Noolwekyo ojja kugigabanya ng’omugabo eri ebika omwenda era n’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase.”
8 With them, the, Reubenites and the Gadites, received their inheritance, —which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan, eastward, as Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto them:
Ekitundu ekirala ekya Manase, n’Abalewubeeni n’Abagaadi ne baweebwa omugabo gwabwe, Musa bwe yabawa emitala wa Yoludaani ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba nga Musa omuweereza wa Mukama bwe yabagabira.
9 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon, and the city, which is in the midst of the ravine, and all the table-land of Medeba, as far as Dibon;
Okuva ku Aloweri ekiri ku mabbali g’ekiwonvu ekya Alunoni, n’ekibuga ekiri wakati mu kiwonvu, n’olusenyi lwonna olwa Medeba okutuuka ku Diboni;
10 and all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —as far as the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
n’ebibuga byonna ebya Sikoni kabaka w’Abamoli, eyafuga mu Kesuboni, okutuuka ku nsalo y’abaana ba Amoni.
11 and Gilead, and the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan, as far as Salecah;
Era kyatwaliramu Gireyaadi, n’ekitundu ky’Abagesuli, n’Abamaakasi, n’olusozi lwonna Kerumooni ne Basani yonna okutuukira ddala ku Saleka.
12 all the kingdom of Og, in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, —he, being left of the remnant of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them;
Obwakabaka bwonna obwa Ogi mu Basani, eyali afuga mu Asutaloosi ne mu Ederei, ye yali asigaddewo yekka ku Balefa, bwawangulwa Musa n’atwala ensi yaabwe.
13 the sons of Israel, however, did not dispossess, the Geshurites or the Maacathites, —but Geshur and Maacath have remained in the midst of Israel until this day.
Naye abaana ba Isirayiri tebaawangula Bagesuli wadde Abamaakasi, bwe kityo Abagesuli n’Abamaakasi ne babeera wakati mu bo ne leero.
14 Howbeit, unto the tribe of Levi, gave he no inheritance, —the altar-flames of Yahweh God of Israel, are his inheritance, as he spake unto him.
Ekika kya Leevi kyokka Musa ky’ataawa mugabo, ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa n’omuliro eri Mukama Katonda wa Isirayiri, gwe mugabo gwe nga bwe yamugamba.
15 Thus then Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of the sons of Reuben by their families;
Musa yagabira ekika ky’abaana ba Lewubeeni ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali:
16 and their boundary was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon and the city which is in the midst of the ravine and all the table-land by Medeba;
Ensalo yaabwe ng’eva ku Aloweri, ekiri ku mabbali g’ekiwonvu eky’Alunoni, n’ekibuga ekiri wakati mu kiwonvu, n’olusenyi lwonna oluliraanye Medeba,
17 Heshbon and all her cities which are on the table-land, —Dibon and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon;
ne Kesuboni, n’ebibuga byakyo byonna ebiri mu lusenyi, ne Diboni ne Bamosi Baali, ne Besubaalumyoni;
18 and Jahaz and Kedemoth and Maphaath;
ne Yakazi, ne Kedemosi, ne Mefaasi;
19 and Kiriathaim and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar on the mount of the vale;
ne Kiriyasayimu, ne Sibuma, ne Zeresusakali ku lusozi olw’Ekiwonvu,
20 and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
ne Besupyoli ne Pisuga awayambukirwa ku lusozi, ne Besu Yesimosi,
21 and all the cities of the table-land, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —whom Moses smote—with the princes of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, dukes of Sihon dwelling in the land;
n’ebibuga byonna eby’omu lusenyi, n’obwakabaka bwonna obwa Sikoni kabaka w’Abamoli, eyafugira mu Kesuboni, Musa gwe yawangula awamu n’abaami abaali bafuga ab’e Midiyaani, eri ne Lekemu, ne Zuuli, ne Kuli ne Leba, n’abalangira ba Sikoni abaabeeranga mu nsi.
22 Balaam also son of Beor, the diviner, did the sons of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.
Era ne mu abo be batta n’ekitala, abaana ba Isirayiri battiramu n’omulaguzi Balamu omwana wa Byoli.
23 And so the boundary of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and district. This, is the inheritance of the sons of Reuben by their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
Era n’ensalo y’abaana ba Lewubeeni yali omugga Yoludaani. Ebibuga n’ebyalo byamu Musa yabiwa abaana ba Lewubeeni okuba omugabo gwabwe.
24 And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of Gad, unto the sons of Gad by their families;
Musa yagabira ekika kya Gaadi omugabo ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali:
25 and their boundary was—Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, —as far as Aroer, which faceth Rabbah;
Ettaka lyabwe lyali Yazeri, n’ebibuga byonna ebya Gireyaadi, n’ekitundu ky’ensi y’abaana ba Amoni, okutuuka ku Aloweri okumpi ne Labba,
26 and from Heshbon as far as Ramath-mizpeh, and Botonim, —and from Mahanaim as far as the boundary of Debir;
n’okuva e Kesuboni okutuuka ku Lamasumizupe, ne Betonimu, era n’okuva ku Makanayimu okutuuka mu nsi y’e Debiri,
27 and in the valley—Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and district, —as far as the end of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan eastward.
ne mu kiwonvu, Besukalamu, ne Besu Nimira, ne Sukkosi, ne Zafoni, n’ekitundu ekyasigalawo ekyobwakabaka bwa Sikoni kabaka ow’e Kesuboni, Yoludaani n’ensalo yaagwo, okutuuka ku lubalama lw’ennyanja ey’e Kinneresi emitala wa Yoludaani ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba.
28 This, is the inheritance of the sons of Gad, by their families, —the cities and the villages thereof.
Eyo y’ensi eyafuuka omugabo gw’abaana ba Gaadi ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali, ebibuga n’ebyalo byamu.
29 And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —so it belonged to the half tribe of the sons of Manasseh by their families;
Musa n’awa ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase omugabo gwabwe, abaana ba Manase ne bagabirwa omugabo ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali.
30 and their boundary was—from Mahanaim all Bashan all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan and all the Encampments of Jair which are in Bashan three-score cities;
N’ensalo yaabwe ng’eya Makanayimu, n’eyita mu Basani n’obwakabaka bwonna obwa Ogi kabaka w’e Basani, n’ebibuga ebya Yayiri, ebiri mu Basani ebibuga nkaaga;
31 and, half Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, pertained to the sons of Machir son of Manasseh, to half the sons of Machir by their families.
n’ekitundu ekimu ekya Gireyaadi ne Asutaloosi, ne Ederei, ebibuga eby’obwakabaka bwa Ogi mu Basani byali b’abaana ba Makiri omwana wa Manase, ekitundu eky’abaana ba Makiri ng’enju zaabwe bwe zaali.
32 These, are [the portions] which Moses gave for inheritance, in the waste plains of Moab, —over the Jordan by Jericho eastward.
Ogwo gwe mugabo Musa gwe yagaba mu nsenyi eza Mowaabu, emitala wa Yoludaani ebuvanjuba bwa Yeriko.
33 But, unto the tribe of Levi, Moses gave no inheritance, —Yahweh God of Israel, he, was their inheritance, as he spake unto them.
Naye ekika kya Leevi Musa teyakiwa mugabo. Mukama Katonda wa Isirayiri, ye mugabo gwabwe gwe yabawa, nga Mukama bwe yabasuubiza.
