John 4
1 When therefore the Lord knew, that the Pharisees had heard—Jesus, more disciples, is making and immersing, than John, —
A jakž poznal Pán, že jsou slyšeli farizeové, že by Ježíš více učedlníků činil a křtil nežli Jan,
2 although indeed, Jesus himself, was not immersing, but his disciples,
(Ačkoli Ježíš sám nekřtil, ale učedlníci jeho, )
3 he left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
Opustil Judstvo a odšel opět do Galilee.
4 Now he must needs pass through Samaria.
Musil pak jíti skrze Samaří.
5 He cometh, therefore, unto a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground which Jacob gave unto Joseph his son.
I přišel k městu Samařskému, kteréž slove Sichar, vedle popluží, kteréž byl dal Jákob Jozefovi, synu svému.
6 Now Jacob’s fountain was there. Jesus, therefore, having become toil-worn with the journey, was sitting thus, upon the fountain. It was about the sixth hour.
Byla pak tu studnice Jákobova. Protož ustav na cestě Ježíš, posadil se tak na studnici. A bylo již okolo šesté hodiny.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith unto her—Give me to drink!
I přišla žena z Samaří vážiti vody. Kteréžto řekl Ježíš: Dej mi píti.
8 for, his disciples, had gone away into the city, that, food, they might buy.
(Nebo učedlníci jeho byli odešli do města, aby nakoupili pokrmů.)
9 The Samaritan woman, therefore, saith unto him—How dost, thou, being, a Jew, ask to drink, of me, who am, a Samaritan woman? [for, Jews, have no dealings with Samaritans.]
I řekla jemu žena ta Samaritánka: Kterakž ty, jsa Žid, žádáš ode mne nápoje od ženy Samaritánky? (Nebo neobcují Židé s Samaritány.)
10 Jesus answered, and said unto her—If thou hadst known the free gift of God, and who it is that is saying unto thee, Give me to drink, thou, wouldst have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.
Odpověděl Ježíš a řekl jí: Kdybys znala ten dar Boží, a věděla, kdo jest, kterýž praví tobě: Dej mi píti, ty bys prosila jeho, a dalť by tobě vody živé.
11 She saith unto him—Sir! not even a bucket, hast thou, —and, the well, is, deep: —Whence, then, hast thou the living water?
I dí jemu žena: Pane, aniž máš, čím bys navážil, a studnice jest hluboká. Odkudž tedy máš tu vodu živou?
12 Art, thou, greater than, our father Jacob, who gave us the well, —and, himself, out of it drank, and his sons, and his flocks?
Zdaliž jsi ty větší nežli otec náš Jákob, kterýž nám dal tuto studnici, a sám z ní pil, i synové jeho, i dobytek jeho?
13 Jesus answered, and said unto her—Whosoever drinketh of this water, will thirst, again;
Odpověděl Ježíš a řekl jí: Každý, kdož pije vodu tuto, žízniti bude opět.
15 The woman saith unto him—Sir! give me this water, that I thirst not, neither be coming hither to draw.
Řekla jemu žena: Pane, dej mi té vody, ať bych nežíznila, ani chodila sem vážiti.
16 He saith unto her—Go, call thy husband, and come hither!
Řekl jí Ježíš: Jdi, zavolej muže svého, a přijď sem.
17 The woman answered, and said [unto him]—I have no husband. Jesus saith unto her—Well, saidst thou, A husband, I have not;
Odpověděla žena a řekla: Nemám muže. Dí jí Ježíš: Dobřes řekla: Nemám muže.
18 for, five husbands, thou hast had, —and, now, he whom thou hast, is not thy, husband: This true thing, hast thou spoken.
Nebos pět mužů měla, a nyní kteréhož máš, není tvůj muž. To jsi pravdu pověděla.
19 The woman saith unto him—Sir! I perceive that, a prophet, art, thou: —
Řekla jemu žena: Pane, vidím, že jsi ty prorok.
20 Our fathers, in this mountain, worshipped; and, ye, say, that, in Jerusalem, is the place, where, to worship, it behoveth.
Otcové naši na této hoře modlívali se, a vy pravíte, že v Jeruzalémě jest místo, kdežto náleží se modliti.
21 Jesus saith unto her—Believe me, woman! There cometh an hour, when, neither in this mountain, nor yet in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.
Dí jí Ježíš: Ženo, věř mi, žeť jde hodina, kdyžto ani na této hoře, ani v Jeruzalémě nebudete se modliti Otci.
22 Ye, worship, that which ye know not; We, worship, that which we know; because, salvation, is, of the Jews.
Vy se modlíte, a nevíte, čemu; my se pak modlíme, čemuž víme, nebo spasení z Židů jest.
23 But there cometh an hour, and, now, is, —when, the real worshippers, shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for, even the Father, is seeking, such as these, as his worshippers.
Ale jdeť hodina, a nyníť jest, kdyžto praví modlitebníci modliti se budou Otci v duchu a v pravdě. Neboť takových Otec hledá, aby se modlili jemu.
24 God is, spirit; and, they that worship him, in spirit and truth, must needs worship.
Bůh duch jest, a ti, kteříž se jemu modlí, v duchu a v pravdě musejí se modliti.
25 The woman saith unto him—I know that, Messiah, cometh, who is called Christ, —Whensoever, he, shall come, he will tell us, everything.
Dí jemu žena: Vím, že Mesiáš přijde, jenž slove Kristus. Ten, když přijde, oznámí nám všecko.
26 Jesus saith unto her—I, that speak unto thee, am he.
Dí jí Ježíš: Jáť jsem, kterýž mluvím s tebou.
27 And, hereupon, came his disciples, and they began to marvel, that, with a woman, he was talking. No one, however, said—What seekest thou? or—Why talkest thou with her?
A v tom přišli učedlníci jeho, i divili se, že by s ženou mluvil, avšak žádný jemu neřekl: Nač se jí ptáš, aneb proč mluvíš s ní?
28 The woman, therefore, left her water-vessel, and went away into the city, and saith unto the men—
I nechala tu žena vědra svého, a šla do města, a řekla těm lidem:
29 Come! see a man, that told me all things that ever I did: Can, this, be, the Christ?
Pojďte, vizte člověka, kterýž pověděl mi všecko, což jsem koli činila. Není-li on ale Kristus?
30 They came forth out of the city, and were coming unto him.
Tedy vyšli z města, a přišli k němu.
31 In the meantime, the disciples were requesting him, saying—Rabbi! eat.
Mezi tím pak prosili ho učedlníci, řkouce: Mistře, pojez.
32 But, he, said unto them—I, have, food, to eat, of which, ye, know not.
A on řekl jim: Jáť mám pokrm k jísti, kteréhož vy nevíte.
33 The disciples, therefore, began to say, one to another—Hath anyone brought him, to eat?
Učedlníci pak mluvili vespolek: Zdali jemu kdo přinesl jísti?
34 Jesus saith unto them—My food, is, that I should do the will of him that sent me, and complete, his work.
Dí jim Ježíš: Můjť pokrm jest, abych činil vůli toho, jenž mne poslal, a dokonal dílo jeho.
35 Are, ye, not saying—Yet, a fourmonth, it is, and, the harvest, cometh? Lo! I say unto you—Lift up your eyes, and gaze at the fields, —that, white, are they unto, harvest. Already,
Však vy pravíte, že ještě čtyři měsícové jsou, a žeň přijde. Aj, pravím vám: Pozdvihněte očí vašich, a patřte na krajiny, žeť se již bělejí ke žni.
36 he that reapeth, receiveth, a reward, and gathereth fruit unto life age-abiding; that, he that soweth, together may rejoice, with him that reapeth. (aiōnios g166)
Kdož pak žne, odplatuť béře, a shromažďuje užitek k životu věčnému, aby i ten, kdož rozsívá, spolu se radoval, i kdo žne. (aiōnios g166)
37 For, herein, doth the saying, hold good, —One, is the sower, and, another, is the reaper.
Nebo i v tom pravé jest slovo, žeť jiný jest, jenž rozsívá, a jiný, kterýž žne.
38 I, sent you forth, to be reaping that whereon, ye, have not toiled: Others, have toiled, and, ye, into their toil, have entered.
Jáť jsem vás poslal žíti, o čemž jste vy nepracovali. Jiníť jsou pracovali, a vy jste v jejich práce vešli.
39 And, out of that city, many, believed on him—of the Samaritans, —by reason of the word of the woman in bearing witness—He told me all things that ever I did.
Z města pak toho mnozí z Samaritánů uvěřili v něho, pro řeč ženy, svědčící: Že mi pověděl všecko, což jsem činila.
40 When, therefore, the Samaritans came unto him, they went on to request him to abide with them; and he abode there two days.
A když k němu přišli Samaritáni, prosili ho, aby s nimi zůstal. I pobyl tu za dva dni.
41 And, many more, believed by reason of his discourse;
A mnohem jich více uvěřilo pro řeč jeho.
42 and, unto the woman, began to say—No longer, by reason of thy talk, do we believe; for, we ourselves, have heard, and know that, This One, is, in truth, the Saviour of the world.
A ženě té řekli: Že již ne pro tvé vypravování věříme; nebo sami jsme slyšeli, a víme, že tento jest právě Spasitel světa, Kristus.
43 But, after the two days, he went forth from thence, into Galilee.
Po dvou pak dnech vyšel odtud, a šel do Galilee.
44 For, Jesus himself, bare witness, that, a prophet, in his own fatherland, hath not, honour.
Nebo sám Ježíš byl svědectví vydal, že prorok v vlasti své v vážnosti není.
45 So, when he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans welcomed him, having seen, all things, whatsoever he had done in Jerusalem during the feast; for, they also, went unto the feast.
A když přišel do Galilee, přijali jej Galilejští, všecko viděvše, co činil v Jeruzalémě v svátek; nebo i oni byli přišli ke dni svátečnímu.
46 So he came again into Cana of Galilee, where he had made the water, wine. And there was a certain courtier, whose son was sick, in Capernaum.
Tedy opět přišel Ježíš do Káně Galilejské, kdežto učinil byl z vody víno. I byl jeden královský služebník v Kafarnaum, jehožto syn nemocen byl.
47 The same, hearing that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, came away unto him, and began requesting him, that he would come down and heal his son; for he was on the point of dying.
Ten uslyšev, že by Ježíš přišel z Judstva do Galilee, šel k němu, a prosil ho, aby sstoupil a uzdravil syna jeho; nebo počínal umírati.
48 Jesus therefore said unto him—Except, signs and wonders, ye see, in nowise will ye believe.
I řekl k němu Ježíš: Neuzříte-li divů a zázraků, neuvěříte.
49 The courtier saith unto him—Sir! come down, ere my child die!
Dí jemu ten královský služebník: Pane, pojď prve, nežli umře syn můj.
50 Jesus saith unto him—Be going thy way: thy son, liveth! And the man believed in the word which Jesus spake to him, and at once went his way.
Dí jemu Ježíš: Jdi, syn tvůj živ jest. I uvěřil člověk řeči, kterouž mluvil k němu Ježíš, a šel.
51 And, when he was even now going down, his servants, met him, saying, that, his boy, was living.
Když pak on již šel, potkali se s ním služebníci jeho a zvěstovali mu, řkouce: Syn tvůj živ jest.
52 So he enquired the hour, from them, when he began, to amend. They said, therefore, unto him—Yesterday, at the seventh hour, the fever left him.
Tedy otázal se jich na hodinu, v kterou by se lépe měl. I řekli jemu: Včera v hodinu sedmou přestala mu zimnice.
53 So the father took note that it was, in that hour, wherein Jesus said unto him—Thy son, liveth! and he believed, he, and all his house.
Tedy poznal otec, že právě v tu hodinu to se stalo, v kterouž řekl byl jemu Ježíš: Syn tvůj živ jest. I uvěřil on i dům jeho všecken.
54 Now, this again, as, a second sign, Jesus did, after coming out of Judaea into Galilee.
To opět druhý div učinil Ježíš, přišed z Judstva do Galilee.
