< John 20 >
1 But, on the first day of the week, Mary the Magdalene, cometh early, while it is yet, dark, unto the tomb, —and beholdeth the stone, already taken away out of the tomb.
Zvino newekutanga wevhiki Maria Magidharini wakasvika mangwanani-ngwanani paguva, kuchakasviba, akaona ibwe rabviswa kubva paguva.
2 She runneth, therefore, and cometh unto Simon Peter, and unto the other disciple whom Jesus dearly loved, and saith unto them—They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.
Naizvozvo wakamhanya akauya kuna Simoni Petro nekune umwe mudzidzi Jesu waaida, ndokuti kwavari: Vabvisa Ishe muguva, uye hatizivi pavamuradzika.
3 Peter, therefore, went out, and the other disciple, —and they were going unto the tomb;
Zvino Petro akabuda neumwe mudzidzi, vakasvika kuguva.
4 and the two were running together, and, the other disciple, outran Peter, and came first unto the tomb;
Zvino vakamhanya vari vaviri pamwe chete; zvino umwe mudzidzi akamhanya kusiya Petro, akatanga kusvika paguva.
5 and, stooping aside, beholdeth, lying, the linen-bandages, nevertheless, he entered not.
Zvino akotama achidongorera, wakaona micheka yerineni yakawaridzwa, asi haana kupinda.
6 So Simon Peter also cometh, following him, and entered into the tomb, and vieweth the linen-bandages lying, —
Zvino Simoni Petro akasvika achimutevera, akapinda muguva, akaona micheka yerineni yakawaridzwa,
7 and the napkin, which was upon his head, not, with the linen-bandages, lying, but apart, folded up into one place.
nemucheka wekumeso wakange uri mumusoro make, usina kuwaridzwa nemicheka yerineni, asi wakapetwa uri pane imwe nzvimbo wega.
8 Then, entered, therefore, the other disciple also, who had come first unto the tomb, and he saw and believed.
Naizvozvo ipapo umwe mudzidzi wakatanga kusvika paguva akapindawo, akaona, akatenda;
9 For, not yet, knew they the Scripture, that he must needs, from among the dead, arise.
nokuti vakange vachigere kunzwisisisa rugwaro, kuti anofanira kumuka kubva kuvakafa.
10 The disciples, therefore, departed again, by themselves.
Naizvozvo vadzidzi vakabva vakaendazve kwavo.
11 Howbeit, Mary, remained standing against the tomb, outside, weeping. So then, as she wept, she stooped aside into the tomb,
Asi Maria wakamira kunze paguva achichema; zvino wakati achichema akakotama akadongorera muguva,
12 and beholdeth two messengers, in white garments, sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where had been lying the body of Jesus.
akaona vatumwa vaviri vane nguvo chena vagere, umwe kumusoro, neumwe kutsoka, ipapo pakambenge parere mutumbi waJesu.
13 And, they, say unto her—Woman! why weepest thou? She saith unto them—They have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
Ivo ndokuti kwaari: Mukadzi, unochemei? Akati kwavari: Nokuti vakabvisa Ishe wangu, zvino handizivi kwavakamuradzika.
14 These things saying, she turned round, and seeth Jesus standing, and knew not that it was, Jesus.
Zvino wakati areva zvinhu izvi akatendeukira kumashure, akaona Jesu amire, asi haana kuziva kuti ndiJesu.
15 Jesus saith unto her—Woman! why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing he was, the gardener, saith unto him—Sir! If, thou, hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him; and, I, will take him away.
Jesu akati kwaari: Mukadzi, unochemei? Unotsvaka ani? Iye achifunga kuti ndiye murimi wemunda, akati kwaari: Ishe, kana imwi mamubvisa, ndiudzei pamamuradzika, uye ini ndichanomutora.
16 Jesus saith unto her—Mary! She, turning saith unto him, in Hebrew—Rabboni! which meaneth, Teacher.
Jesu akati kwaari: Maria! Iye akatendeuka akati kwaari: Rabhoni! ndiko kuti: Mudzidzisi.
17 Jesus saith unto her—Be not detaining me, for, not yet, have I ascended unto the Father; but be going unto my disciples, and say unto them—I am ascending unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
Jesu akati kwaari: Usandibata, nokuti ndichigere kukwira kuna Baba vangu; asi enda kuvanin'ina vangu, uti kwavari: Ndinokwira kuna Baba vangu naBaba venyu, naMwari wangu naMwari wenyu.
18 Mary the Magdalene cometh, bringing tidings unto the disciples—I have seen the Lord! and that these things he had said unto her.
Maria Magidharini akauya ndokuudza vadzidzi kuti waona Ishe, uye wamuudza zvinhu izvi.
19 It being late, therefore, on that day, the first of the week, —and, the doors, having been made fast where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came, and stood in the midst, and saith unto them—Peace be unto you!
Zvino ava madekwani nezuva iroro rekutanga revhiki, mikova yapfigwa pakange pakaungana vadzidzi nekutya VaJudha, Jesu akauya akamira pakati, akati kwavari: Rugare kwamuri.
20 and, this, saying he pointed out both his hands and his side unto them. The disciples, therefore, rejoiced, seeing the Lord.
Zvino wakati ataura izvi akavaratidza zvanza nerutivi rwake. Naizvozvo vadzidzi vakafara vachiona Ishe.
21 Jesus, therefore, said unto them, again, —Peace be unto you! Just as, my Father, sent me forth, I, also, send you.
Naizvozvo Jesu akatizve kwavari: Rugare kwamuri; Baba sezvavakandituma, neni ndinokutumai.
22 And, this, saying, he breathed strongly, and saith unto them—Receive ye Holy Spirit: —
Zvino wakati areva izvi akafuridzira kwavari, ndokuti kwavari: Gamuchirai Mweya Mutsvene.
23 Whosesoever sins ye shall remit, they are remitted unto them, whosesoever ye shall retain, they are retained.
Ani nani wamunokanganwira zvivi, vazvikanganwirwa; vese vamunobata zvavo zvabatwa.
24 But, Thomas, one of the twelve, the one called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
Asi Tomasi, umwe wevanegumi nevaviri, wainzi Dhidhimo, wakange asipo navo Jesu paakauya.
25 The other disciples, therefore, were saying unto him—We have seen the Lord! But, he, said unto them—Except I see, in his hands, the print of the nails, and press my finger into the print of the nails, and press my hand into his side, in nowise will I believe.
Naizvozvo vamwe vadzidzi vakati kwaari: Taona Ishe. Asi iye wakati kwavari: Kana ndisingaoni vanga rembambo muzvanza zvake, nekuisa munwe wangu muvanga rembambo, nekuisa ruoko rwangu murutivi rwake, handingatongotendi.
26 And, eight days after, his disciples again were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh—the doors having been made fast—and stood in the midst, and said—Peace be unto you!
Zvino mushure memazuva masere vadzidzi vake vakange vari mukatizve, naTomasi anavo. Jesu akauya, mikova yakapfigwa, ndokumira pakati akati: Rugare kwamuri.
27 Then, saith he unto Thomas—Reach thy finger hither, and see my hands, and reach thy hand, and press into my side, —and become not disbelieving, but believing.
Ipapo akati kuna Tomasi: Uisa munwe wako pano uone zvanza zangu; uuise ruoko rwako uise murutivi rwangu, usava usingatendi, asi unotenda.
28 Thomas answered, and said unto him—My Lord, and my God!
Zvino Tomasi akapindura, akati kwaari: Ishe wangu naMwari wangu!
29 Jesus saith unto him—Because thou hast seen me, hast thou believed? Happy, they who have not seen, and yet have believed!
Jesu akati kwaari: Nokuti wandiona, Tomasi, watenda; vakaropafadzwa vasina kuona asi vatenda.
30 Many other signs, doubtless, did Jesus, in presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
Zvino zvirokwazvo Jesu wakaita zvimwe zviratidzo zvizhinji pamberi pevadzidzi vake, zvisina kunyorwa mubhuku iri.
31 but, these, are written, that ye may believe that, Jesus, is, the Christ, the Son of God; and that, believing, ye may have life in his name.
Asi izvi zvakanyorwa, kuti mutende kuti Jesu ndiKristu, Mwanakomana waMwari, uye kuti muchitenda muve neupenyu muzita rake.
