John 15
1 I, am the real vine, and, my Father, is, the husbandman.
அஹம்’ ஸத்யத்³ராக்ஷாலதாஸ்வரூபோ மம பிதா தூத்³யாநபரிசாரகஸ்வரூபஞ்ச|
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, He taketh it away; and, every one that beareth, fruit, He pruneth it, that, more fruit, it may bear.
மம யாஸு ஸா²கா²ஸு ப²லாநி ந ப⁴வந்தி தா: ஸ சி²நத்தி ததா² ப²லவத்ய: ஸா²கா² யதா²தி⁴கப²லாநி ப²லந்தி தத³ர்த²ம்’ தா: பரிஷ்கரோதி|
3 Already, ye, are, pure, because of the word which I have spoken unto you:
இதா³நீம்’ மயோக்தோபதே³ஸே²ந யூயம்’ பரிஷ்க்ரு’தா: |
4 Abide in me, and, I, in you. Just as, the branch, cannot be bearing fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, so, neither, ye, except, in me, ye abide.
அத: காரணாத் மயி திஷ்ட²த தேநாஹமபி யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்டா²மி, யதோ ஹேதோ ர்த்³ராக்ஷாலதாயாம் அஸம்’லக்³நா ஸா²கா² யதா² ப²லவதீ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி ததா² யூயமபி மய்யதிஷ்ட²ந்த: ப²லவந்தோ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²|
5 I, am the vine: Ye, are the branches. He that abideth in me and, I, in him, the same, beareth much fruit; because, apart from me, ye can bring forth, nothing.
அஹம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாலதாஸ்வரூபோ யூயஞ்ச ஸா²கா²ஸ்வரூபோ: ; யோ ஜநோ மயி திஷ்ட²தி யத்ர சாஹம்’ திஷ்டா²மி, ஸ ப்ரசூரப²லை: ப²லவாந் ப⁴வதி, கிந்து மாம்’ விநா யூயம்’ கிமபி கர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²|
6 If one abide not me, he is cast out as the branch, and withered, and they gather them, —and, into fire, they cast them, and they are burned.
ய: கஸ்²சிந் மயி ந திஷ்ட²தி ஸ ஸு²ஷ்கஸா²கே²வ ப³ஹி ர்நிக்ஷிப்யதே லோகாஸ்²ச தா ஆஹ்ரு’த்ய வஹ்நௌ நிக்ஷிப்ய தா³ஹயந்தி|
7 If ye abide in me, and, my sayings, in you, abide, whatsoever ye may be desiring, ask! and it shall be brought to pass for you.
யதி³ யூயம்’ மயி திஷ்ட²த² மம கதா² ச யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்ட²தி தர்ஹி யத்³ வாஞ்சி²த்வா யாசிஷ்யத்⁴வே யுஷ்மாகம்’ ததே³வ ஸப²லம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
8 Herein, was my Father glorified, that, much fruit, ye should bear, and become my disciples.
யதி³ யூயம்’ ப்ரசூரப²லவந்தோ ப⁴வத² தர்ஹி தத்³வாரா மம பிது ர்மஹிமா ப்ரகாஸி²ஷ்யதே ததா² யூயம்’ மம ஸி²ஷ்யா இதி பரிக்ஷாயிஷ்யத்⁴வே|
9 Just as the Father loved me, I also, loved you: Abide ye in my love.
பிதா யதா² மயி ப்ரீதவாந் அஹமபி யுஷ்மாஸு ததா² ப்ரீதவாந் அதோ ஹேதோ ர்யூயம்’ நிரந்தரம்’ மம ப்ரேமபாத்ராணி பூ⁴த்வா திஷ்ட²த|
10 If, my commandments, ye keep, ye shall abide in my love, —just as, I, the Father’s commandments, have kept, and abide in his love.
அஹம்’ யதா² பிதுராஜ்ஞா க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தஸ்ய ப்ரேமபா⁴ஜநம்’ திஷ்டா²மி ததை²வ யூயமபி யதி³ மமாஜ்ஞா கு³ஹ்லீத² தர்ஹி மம ப்ரேமபா⁴ஜநாநி ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத²|
11 These things, have I spoken unto you, that, my own joy, in you, may be, and, your joy, may be made full.
யுஷ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ மம ய ஆஹ்லாத³: ஸ யதா² சிரம்’ திஷ்ட²தி யுஷ்மாகம் ஆநந்த³ஸ்²ச யதா² பூர்ய்யதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம் ஏதா: கதா² அத்ரகத²ம்|
12 This, is my own commandment, That ye be loving one another, just as I loved you.
அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாஸு யதா² ப்ரீயே யூயமபி பரஸ்பரம்’ ததா² ப்ரீயத்⁴வம் ஏஷா மமாஜ்ஞா|
13 Greater love than this, hath, no one, That, his life, one should lay down in behalf of his friends.
மித்ராணாம்’ காரணாத் ஸ்வப்ராணதா³நபர்ய்யந்தம்’ யத் ப்ரேம தஸ்மாந் மஹாப்ரேம கஸ்யாபி நாஸ்தி|
14 Ye, are, friends of mine, if ye be doing that which, I, am commanding you.
அஹம்’ யத்³யத்³ ஆதி³ஸா²மி தத்ததே³வ யதி³ யூயம் ஆசரத தர்ஹி யூயமேவ மம மித்ராணி|
15 No longer, do I call you, servants, for, the servant, knoweth not what, his lord, is doing. But, you, I have called, friends, because, all things which I heard from my Father, made I known unto you.
அத்³யாரப்⁴ய யுஷ்மாந் தா³ஸாந் ந வதி³ஷ்யாமி யத் ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யத் கரோதி தா³ஸஸ்தத்³ ந ஜாநாதி; கிந்து பிது: ஸமீபே யத்³யத்³ அஸ்²ரு’ணவம்’ தத் ஸர்வ்வம்’ யூஷ்மாந் அஜ்ஞாபயம் தத்காரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் மித்ராணி ப்ரோக்தவாந்|
16 Not, ye, chose, me, but, I, chose you, and placed you, that ye should go your way and bear, fruit, —and, your fruit, should abide: that, whatsoever ye should ask the Father in my name, he might give unto you.
யூயம்’ மாம்’ ரோசிதவந்த இதி ந, கிந்த்வஹமேவ யுஷ்மாந் ரோசிதவாந் யூயம்’ க³த்வா யதா² ப²லாந்யுத்பாத³யத² தாநி ப²லாநி சாக்ஷயாணி ப⁴வந்தி, தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ந்யஜுநஜம்’ தஸ்மாந் மம நாம ப்ரோச்ய பிதரம்’ யத் கிஞ்சித்³ யாசிஷ்யத்⁴வே ததே³வ ஸ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ தா³ஸ்யதி|
17 These things, I command you, That ye be loving one another.
யூயம்’ பரஸ்பரம்’ ப்ரீயத்⁴வம் அஹம் இத்யாஜ்ஞாபயாமி|
18 If, the world, is hating, you, ye are getting to know that, me, before you, it hath hated.
ஜக³தோ லோகை ர்யுஷ்மாஸு ரு’தீயிதேஷு தே பூர்வ்வம்’ மாமேவார்த்தீயந்த இதி யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
19 If, of the world, ye had been, the world, of its own, had been fond; but, because, of the world, ye are not, on the contrary, I, chose you out of the world, therefore, the world, doth hate you.
யதி³ யூயம்’ ஜக³தோ லோகா அப⁴விஷ்யத தர்ஹி ஜக³தோ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ஆத்மீயாந் பு³த்³த்⁴வாப்ரேஷ்யந்த; கிந்து யூயம்’ ஜக³தோ லோகா ந ப⁴வத², அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் அஸ்மாஜ்ஜக³தோ(அ)ரோசயம் ஏதஸ்மாத் காரணாஜ்ஜக³தோ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ரு’தீயந்தே|
20 Remember the word which, I, spake unto you: A servant is not greater than his lord. If, me, they persecuted, you too, will they persecute, —If, my word, they kept, your own also, will they keep.
தா³ஸ: ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்மஹாந் ந ப⁴வதி மமைதத் பூர்வ்வீயம்’ வாக்யம்’ ஸ்மரத; தே யதி³ மாமேவாதாட³யந் தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாநபி தாட³யிஷ்யந்தி, யதி³ மம வாக்யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தி தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாகமபி வாக்யம்’ க்³ரஹீஷ்யந்தி|
21 But, all these things, will they do unto you, on account of my name, because they know not him that sent me.
கிந்து தே மம நாமகாரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வ்யவஹரிஷ்யந்தி யதோ யோ மாம்’ ப்ரேரிதவாந் தம்’ தே ந ஜாநந்தி|
22 Had I not come and spoken unto them, Sin, had they none; but, now, have they no, excuse, for their sin.
தேஷாம்’ ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் ஆக³த்ய யத்³யஹம்’ நாகத²யிஷ்யம்’ தர்ஹி தேஷாம்’ பாபம்’ நாப⁴விஷ்யத் கிந்த்வது⁴நா தேஷாம்’ பாபமாச்சா²த³யிதும் உபாயோ நாஸ்தி|
23 He that hateth me, hateth, my Father also.
யோ ஜநோ மாம் ரு’தீயதே ஸ மம பிதரமபி ரு’தீயதே|
24 Had I not done among them, the works, which, no other, had done, sin, had they none; but, now, have they, both seen and hated both me and my Father.
யாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி கர்ம்மாணி கேநாபி கதா³பி நாக்ரியந்த தாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி கர்ம்மாணி யதி³ தேஷாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்³ அஹம்’ நாகரிஷ்யம்’ தர்ஹி தேஷாம்’ பாபம்’ நாப⁴விஷ்யத் கிந்த்வது⁴நா தே த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாபி மாம்’ மம பிதரஞ்சார்த்தீயந்த|
25 But…that the word which, in their law, is written, might be fulfilled—They hated me without cause.
தஸ்மாத் தே(அ)காரணம்’ மாம் ரு’தீயந்தே யதே³தத்³ வசநம்’ தேஷாம்’ ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத் ஸப²லம் அப⁴வத்|
26 Whensoever the Advocate shall come, Whom, I, will send unto you from the Father, The Spirit of truth, which, from the Father, cometh forth, He, will bear witness concerning me;
கிந்து பிது ர்நிர்க³தம்’ யம்’ ஸஹாயமர்தா²த் ஸத்யமயம் ஆத்மாநம்’ பிது: ஸமீபாத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே ப்ரேஷயிஷ்யாமி ஸ ஆக³த்ய மயி ப்ரமாணம்’ தா³ஸ்யதி|
27 And do, ye also, bear witness, because, from the beginning, ye are, with me,
யூயம்’ ப்ரத²மமாரப்⁴ய மயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ திஷ்ட²த² தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோ ர்யூயமபி ப்ரமாணம்’ தா³ஸ்யத²|
