John 11
1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister.
Uugwa muntu ug'wi ilina nilakwe Lazaro ai watulaa mulwae. Ai upembeeye ku Bethania, Kijiji kang'wa Mariamu nu muluna nuakwe uMartha.
2 And Mary was she who anointed the Lord with perfume, and wiped his feet with her hair—whose brother Lazarus was sick.

3 The sisters, therefore, sent out unto him, saying—Lord, see! he whom thou tenderly lovest, is sick.

4 But Jesus hearing, said—This sickness, is not unto death, but for the glory of God, —that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.
uYesu nai wakija akaligitya, “Ulwae uwu shanga wansha, kuiti, badala akwe ingi ku nsoko i ikulyo ni lang'wa Itunda iti kina ng'wana nuang'wa Itunda walije kukuligwa mu ulwae uwu.”
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
uYesu ai umuloilwe u Martha nu muluna nu akwe nu Lazaro.
6 When, therefore, he heard that he was sick, then, indeed, he abode in the place where he was, two days.
Nai wakija kina uLazaro ingi mulwae, uYesu ai wikie mahiku a biili ikilo ku kianza nai ukoli.
7 Then, after this, he saith unto the disciples—Let us be leading on into Judaea, again.

8 The disciples say unto him—Rabbi! just now, were the Jews seeking to stone thee—and, again, goest thou thither?
Amanyisigwa akamutambuila, “Rabi, Ayahudi ai atula akugema ku utulanga magwe, nu ewe uloilwe kusuka kung'wanso hangi?'”
9 Jesus answered—Are there not, twelve hours, in the day? If one walk in the day, he doth no stumble, because, the light of this world, he seeth;
uYesu aka atambuila, I matngo a mung'wi shanga ikumi na abiili? Muntu nukugenda u mung'wi shanga uhumile ku kumpa, ku nsoko ukihenga ku welu nua mung'wi.
10 But, if one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because, the light, is not in him.
Ga ni iti, anga itule wika genda utiku, uku kumpa ku nsoko u welu ukutili mukati akwe.”
11 These things, he said, and, after this, he saith unto them—Lazarus, our dear friend, hath fallen asleep; but I am going, that I may awake him.
uYesu akaligitya imakani aya, ni ze yakilaa imakani aya, aka atambuila, “Muhumba miitu uLazaro walala, kuiti nongoe iti kina ndije kumuusha kupuma mu tulo.”
12 The disciples, therefore, said unto him—Lord! if he have fallen asleep, he will recover.
Uugwa i amanyisigwa akamutambuila, 'Mukulu, anga itule ulae, ukuuka.
13 But Jesus had spoken concerning his death; whereas, they, supposed that, concerning the taking of rest in sleep, he had been speaking.
Itungo ili uYesu ai watulaa ukuligitya nkani nia nsha ang'wa Lazaro, kuiti nianso ai asigiie ukutambula migulya a kulala tulo.
14 Jesus, therefore, then, said unto them, plainly, —Lazarus, died;
Uugwa uYesu akatambula nienso kihenga, “uLazaro wakuzaa,
15 and I rejoice, for your sake—that ye may believe, —that I was not there; but let us be going unto him.

16 Thomas, therefore, the one called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples—Let, us also, be going, that we may die with him.

17 Jesus, therefore, coming, found that, four days already, had he been in the tomb.

18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;

19 and, many from among the Jews, had come unto Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother.

20 Martha, therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet him; but, Mary, in the house, remained sitting.

21 Martha, therefore, said unto Jesus—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died;
Papo uMartha akamutambuila uYesu, “Mukulu, anga aza utule papa, uheu nuane shanga azaa uzeesha.
22 And, now, I know, that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God, will give unto thee.
Ga ni itungili, ningile ya kina lihi nuikalompa kupuma kung'wa Itunda, ukuinkiilya.”
23 Jesus saith unto her—Thy brother shall rise.
uYesu akamutambuila, uheu nuako ukiuka hangi.”
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise, in the resurrection, in the last day.
uMartha akamuila, ningile kina ukiuka mu wiuki nua luhiku nula mpelo.”
25 Jesus said unto her—I, am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, even though he die, shall live again!
uYesu akamuila, “Unene ingi wiuki nu upanga; nuanso nu nihuiie, anga itule ukusha, ga ni iti ukutula ukikie;
26 And, no one who liveth again and believeth on me, shall in anywise die, unto times age-abiding. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)
nu ng'wenso nuikie nu kunihuiila unene shanga ukusha, uhuiie ulu?” (aiōn g165)
27 She saith unto him—Yea, Lord! I, have believed, that, thou, art the Christ, the Son of God, —He who, into the world, should come.
Akamutambuila, “Ee, Mukulu nihuiie kina uewe ingi wi Kristo, Ng'wana nuang'wa Itunda, ng'wenso nu pembilye mu unkumbigulu.”
28 And this saying, she went away, and called Mary her sister, secretly, saying—The teacher, is present, and calleth thee.
Nai wakondya kuligitya ili, akalongolaa yakwe kumitanga u muluna akwe uMariamu ku ki mpinyimpinyi. Akaligitya, uNg'walimu ukoli apa ukuitanga.”
29 And, she, when she heard, was roused up quickly, and was coming unto him.
uMariamu nai wakija aya, ai unyansukile ku upepele nu kulongola kung'wa Yesu.
30 Not yet, however, had Jesus come into the village, but was still in the place where, Martha, met him.
Nu ng'wenso uYesu aiwatulaa wakili kuza mukati a kijiji, ila ai watulaa ukoli ikianza nai utankanie nu Martha.
31 The Jews, therefore, who were with her in the house and consoling her, seeing Mary, that quickly she arose and went out, followed her, supposing that she was withdrawing unto the tomb, that she might weep there.
Uugwa Ayahudi nai akoli nu Mariamu mi ito ni awo nai atulaa akumuhongeelya, nai akamihenga ukunyansuka ku upepeele nu kupuma kunzi, ai amutyatile; aze asigiie kina ulongoe ku kibiila iti kina wende walile kuko.
32 Mary, therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying unto him—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Uugwa uMariamu, nai wakapika pang'wanso uYesu nai ukoli nai wakamihenga nu kugwa pihi a migulu akwe nu kumuila,” Mukulu, anga aza utule ukoli papa, muluna ane shanga aza uzeesha.”
33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, was indignant in the spirit, and troubled himself,
uYesu nai wakamihenga ukulila, ni Ayahudi nai azile palung'wi nu ng'wenso ai atulaa akulila ga, ai uhongeeye mu nkolo nu kuhusha;
34 and said—Where have ye laid him? They say unto him—Lord! come and see.
akaligitya, “Mumulalikilye pii? akamutambuila, Mukulu, Pembya ugoze.”
35 Jesus wept.
uYesu akalila.
36 The Jews, therefore, were saying—See! how tenderly he loved him!
Papo iAyahudi akaligitya, “Goza nai umuloilwe uLazaro”
37 But, some from among them, said—Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that, this one also, should not have died?
Kuiti i auya mu kati ao akaligitya, “Shanga yuyu, muntu nai umapitilye i miho ang'wa uyo nai watuile mupoku, shanga aza uhumile kumuzipya u muntu uyu waleke kusha?”
38 Jesus, therefore, again, being indignant within himself, cometh unto the tomb. Now it was a cave, and, a stone, was lying thereon.
Uugwa uYesu, aze ukuhongeelya mu umi nuakwe hangi, akalogola mu kibiila. Itungili ai latulaa ikulungi, ni igwe li ikilwe migulya akwe.
39 Jesus, saith, Take ye away the stone! Martha, the sister of the deceased, saith unto him—Lord! by this time, he stinketh, for it is, four days.
uYesu akaligitya, Liheji igwe. “uMartha, muluna nuakwe uLazaro, nuanso nai ukule, akamuila uYesu, “Mukulu, ku itungo ili, muimba ukutula waolaa, ku nsoko wakondya kutula muimba ku mahiku anne.”
40 Jesus saith unto her—Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?
uYesu akamuila, “Unene shanga aza nukuiie kina, anga uhuiile, ukihenga ikulyo ni lang'wa Itunda?”
41 So they took away the stone. And, Jesus, lifted up his eyes on high, and said—Father! I thank thee, thou didst hear me:
Ku lulo akaliheja igwe. uYesu akanyansula imiho akwe migulya nu kuligitya, “Tata, nukulumbile ku nsoko untegeeye.
42 I, indeed, knew that, always, unto me, thou dost hearken; but, for the sake of the multitude standing around, I spake, —that they might believe that, thou, didst send me forth.
Aza ningile kina wintegeelya nkua yihi, kuiti ingi ku nsoko a milundo nuimikile ku mpilimikiilya kina ndigitilye aya, iti kina alije kuhuiila kina uewe undagiiye.”
43 And, these things, having said, with a loud voice, he cried out—Lazarus! Come forth!
Ze yakilaa kuligitya aya, ai uli ile ku luli lukulu, “Lazaro, puma kunzi'”
44 He that was dead came forth, bound feet and hands with bandages, and, his face, with a napkin, was bound about. Jesus saith unto them—Loose him, and let him go.
Mushi ai upumule kunzi utungilwe i mikono ni migulu ku sanda ni kiikila, nu usu nu akwe ai utungilwe mukako” uYesu aka atambuila, “Mutunguili mu muleke walongole.”
45 Many therefore from among the Jews, who had come unto Mary, and gazed on what he did, believed on him
Uugwa iAyahudi idu nai azile kung'wa Mariamu nu kihenga uYesu naza witumile, ai amuhuiie;
46 but, certain from among them, went away unto the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus had done.
kuiti ang'wi ao ai alongoe ku Afarisayo nu kuaila imakani naza witumile uYesu.
47 The High-priests and Pharisees, therefore, brought together a high-council, and were saying—What are we to do, in that, this man, doeth, many signs?
Uugwa akulu a Akuhani ni Afarisayo akilundiila palung'wi mu kianda nu kuligitya, Ku utenda ntuni? uMuntu uyu ukituma ilingasiilyo idu.
48 If we let him alone thus, all, will believe on him, and the Romans will come, and take away, both our place and nation.
Anga itule ku umuleka iti wing'wene duu, ihi aku muhuiila; iArumi akupembya nu kuhola yihi i kianza kitu ni ihi itu.”
49 But, a certain one from among them, Caiaphas, being, High-priest, for that year, said unto them—Ye, know, nothing at all;
Ga ni iti, muntu ung'wi mu kati ao, Kayafa, nai watuile Kuhani Mukulu ng'waka nuanso, aka atambuila,
50 nor do ye take into account, that it is profitable for you that, one man, should die for the people, and not, the whole nation, perish.
“Shanga mulingile kihi lukulu. Shanga musigile kina izipie ku nsoko anyu kina muntu ung'wi utakiwe kusha kunsoko a antu kukila ingu wihi kulimila.”
51 This, however, from himself, he spake not, but, being, High-priest, for that year, he prophesied, that Jesus was about to die for the nation;
Aya shsnga ai umaligitilye kunsoko akwe mukola, badala akwe, kunsoko ai watulaa kuhani mukulu ung'waka nuanso. ai ulotile kina uYesu ukusha kunsoko a ingu,
52 and, not for the nation only, but that, the scattered children of God also, he might gather together into one.

53 From that day, therefore, they took counsel, that they might put him to death.
Ku lulo kandiilya u luhiku nu lanso nu kulongoleka akanonia nzila a kumubulaga.
54 Jesus, therefore, no longer openly, was walking among the Jews, but departed thence, into the country near the desert, unto a city called, Ephraim; and, there, abode, with his disciples.
uYesu shanga ai ugendile hangi kihenga mu Ayahudi, ila ai uhegile pang'wanso nu kulongola ihi nikoli pakupi ni ibambazi mu kisali ni kitangwaa Efraimu. Pang'wanso akikie ni amanyisigwa.
55 Now the passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up unto Jerusalem, out of the country, before the passover, that they might purify themselves.
Ila i Pasaka a Ayahudi ai atulaa pakupi, ni idu aka nankila kulongola ku Yerusalemu kunzi a kisali ze ikili i pasaka iti alije ki elya akola.
56 They were therefore seeking Jesus, and were saying one to another, in the temple, standing—How seemeth it unto you? that he will in nowise come unto the feast?
Ai atulaa akumuduma uYesu, nu kutambula kila ung'wi nai atulaa imikile mi Itekeelo, “Mukusiga ntuni? kina shanga uzile mu siku kuu?”
57 Now the High-priests and the Pharisees had given commands, that, if anyone came to know where he was, he should inform [them], so that they might seize him.
Itungo ili i akulu a akuhani ni Afarisayo ai atulaa apumyaa ilagiilyo kina anga itule ung'wi ukulinga kina uYesu ukoli, utakiwe kupumya impola iti kina alije kumuamba.
