< John 11 >
1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister.
ᎩᎶᏃ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᏢᎬᎩ, ᎳᏏᎳ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ, ᏇᏗᏂᏱ ᎡᎯ, ᎺᎵ ᎠᎴ ᎤᎸᎢ ᎹᏗ ᎤᏂᏚᎲᎢ.
2 And Mary was she who anointed the Lord with perfume, and wiped his feet with her hair—whose brother Lazarus was sick.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎺᎵ ᎠᏠᏁᏗ ᏧᎶᏁᏔᏁ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏍᏘᏰᎬ ᏧᏩᏔᏁ ᏥᏚᏅᎦᎸᎡᎴ ᏧᎳᏏᏕᏂ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏅᏙ ᎳᏏᎳ ᎤᏢᎬᎩ.
3 The sisters, therefore, sent out unto him, saying—Lord, see! he whom thou tenderly lovest, is sick.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏧᏙ ᏓᏳᎾᏓᏅᏒᎩ ᎤᏛᎪᏗ, ᎯᎠ ᏅᏓᏳᏂᏪᏒᎩ, ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᎯᎨᏳᎢ ᏥᎩ ᎤᏢᎦ.
4 But Jesus hearing, said—This sickness, is not unto death, but for the glory of God, —that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.
ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᏛᎦᏅ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏢᎦᎥᏝ ᎤᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᏥᎸᏉᏙᏗᏱᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏪᏥ ᎠᏥᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ.
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
ᏥᏌᏃ ᏧᎨᏳᎯᏳᎨᏒᎩ ᎹᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎤᎸᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎳᏏᎳ.
6 When, therefore, he heard that he was sick, then, indeed, he abode in the place where he was, two days.
ᎤᏛᎦᏅᏃ ᎤᏢᎬᎢ, ᎾᎿᎭᎡᏙᎲᎢ ᎠᏏ ᏔᎵ ᏅᎤᏙᏓᏋᎩ.
7 Then, after this, he saith unto the disciples—Let us be leading on into Judaea, again.
ᎣᏂᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ; ᏔᎵᏁ ᏧᏗᏱ ᏫᏗᎶᎯ.
8 The disciples say unto him—Rabbi! just now, were the Jews seeking to stone thee—and, again, goest thou thither?
ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏔᏕᏲᎲᏍᎩ, ᎥᏝ ᏱᎪᎯᎩ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᎾᏁᎶᏔᏅᎩ ᏅᏯ ᏗᎨᏨᏂᏍᏙᏗᏱ, ᏔᎵᏁᏍᎪᏃ ᎾᎿᎭᏮᏛᎯᎶᏏ?
9 Jesus answered—Are there not, twelve hours, in the day? If one walk in the day, he doth no stumble, because, the light of this world, he seeth;
ᏥᏌ ᎤᏁᏨᎩ; ᏝᏍᎪ ᏔᎳᏚ ᎢᏳᏟᎶᏛ ᏱᎩ ᏏᎦ? ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎢᎦ ᏤᏙᎰᎢ, ᎥᏝ ᏱᏚᏬᏕᎯᎰᎢ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪ ᎠᎪᏩᏘᏍᎬ ᎢᎦ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ ᏚᎸᏌᏛᎢ.
10 But, if one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because, the light, is not in him.
ᎩᎶᏍᎩᏂ ᎡᏃᏱ ᏤᏙᎰᎢ, ᏚᏬᏕᎯᎰᎢ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪ ᎢᎦ ᏂᏚᎸᏌᏓᏕᎲᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
11 These things, he said, and, after this, he saith unto them—Lazarus, our dear friend, hath fallen asleep; but I am going, that I may awake him.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎳᏏᎳ ᎢᎦᎵᎢ ᎦᎵᎭ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏓᎨᏏ, ᏮᏓᏥᏰᏍᏔᏂ.
12 The disciples, therefore, said unto him—Lord! if he have fallen asleep, he will recover.
ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᏱᎦᎵᎭ ᏓᏳᏗᏩᏏᏉ.
13 But Jesus had spoken concerning his death; whereas, they, supposed that, concerning the taking of rest in sleep, he had been speaking.
ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏲᎱᏒ ᎦᏛᎬᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏪᏒ ᏥᏌ: ᎾᏍᎩᏍᎩᏂ Ꮎ ᎠᎦᎵᎲᏉ ᏦᏯᏪᏐᎵᎰ ᎦᏛᎦ ᎤᏁᎵᏒᎩ.
14 Jesus, therefore, then, said unto them, plainly, —Lazarus, died;
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎳᏏᎳ ᎤᏲᎱᏒ;
15 and I rejoice, for your sake—that ye may believe, —that I was not there; but let us be going unto him.
ᎠᎴ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎠᎩᏰᎸᎭ ᎾᎿᎭᏫᏂᎨᏙᎲᎾ ᏥᎨᏒᎩ, ᏂᎯ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ, ᎢᏦᎯᏳᏗᏱ. ᎠᏎᏃ ᎡᏗᏩᏛᎱᎦ.
16 Thomas, therefore, the one called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples—Let, us also, be going, that we may die with him.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏓᎻ, ᏗᏗᎹ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ ᎤᎾᎵᎪᎯ ᎠᎾᏓᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏴ ᎢᏕᎾ, ᎠᏲᎱᏒᎭ ᎢᎦᏠᏯᏍᏔᏅᎭ.
17 Jesus, therefore, coming, found that, four days already, had he been in the tomb.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏥᏌ ᎤᎷᏨ ᎤᏙᎴᎱᏒᎩ ᎦᏳᎳ ᏅᎩ ᏧᏙᏓᏉᏛ ᎬᏩᏂᏅᏅᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎠᏤᎵᏍᏛᎢ.
18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;
ᎾᏍᎩ ᏇᏗᏂᏃ ᎦᏚᎲ ᏥᎷᏏᎵᎻ ᎾᎥ ᎨᏒᎩ, ᏔᎵᎭᏉ ᎢᏳᏟᎶᏛ.
19 and, many from among the Jews, had come unto Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother.
ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏣᏛ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎬᏩᏂᎷᏤᎸᎩ ᎹᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎺᎵ ᎬᏩᏂᏄᏬᎯᏍᏔᏂᎸᎩ ᎤᏂᏙ ᎤᏲᎱᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.
20 Martha, therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet him; but, Mary, in the house, remained sitting.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎹᏗ ᎤᏛᎦᏅᏉ ᏥᏌ ᏣᎢᏒᎢ ᏫᏚᏠᏒᎩ. ᎺᎵᏍᎩᏂ ᎦᎵᏦᏕᏉ ᎬᏬᎸᎩ.
21 Martha, therefore, said unto Jesus—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died;
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎹᏗ ᎠᎴ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ ᏥᏌ; ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏂ ᏱᎮᏙᎮᎢ, ᎥᏝ ᏱᎬᏩᏲᎱᏎ ᎥᎩᏙ.
22 And, now, I know, that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God, will give unto thee.
ᎠᏎᏃ ᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎪᎯ ᎨᏒ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏱᏔᏲᏎᎸ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ, ᏣᏁᏗᏉ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ.
23 Jesus saith unto her—Thy brother shall rise.
ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎡᏣᏙ ᏙᏛᎠᎴᎯᏌᏂ.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise, in the resurrection, in the last day.
ᎹᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏙᏗᎴᎯᏌᏂᏒ ᏗᎴᎯᏐᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᎸᏗ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
25 Jesus said unto her—I, am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, even though he die, shall live again!
ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎠᏴ ᏗᎴᎯᏐᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎬᏂᏛ. ᎩᎶ ᎠᏉᎯᏳᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎢᏳ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᏱᎩ, ᎬᏁᏍᏗ.
26 And, no one who liveth again and believeth on me, shall in anywise die, unto times age-abiding. Believest thou this? (aiōn )
ᎩᎶᏃ ᎬᏁᏍᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏉᎯᏳᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎤᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ. ᎰᎯᏳᎲᏍᎦᏍᎪ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ? (aiōn )
27 She saith unto him—Yea, Lord! I, have believed, that, thou, art the Christ, the Son of God, —He who, into the world, should come.
ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᎥ, ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ; ᎪᎢᏳᎲᏍᎦ ᏂᎯ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎨᏒᎯ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏪᏥ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎤᎷᎯᏍᏗ ᏥᎨᏒᎩ.
28 And this saying, she went away, and called Mary her sister, secretly, saying—The teacher, is present, and calleth thee.
ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᏄᏪᏒ ᎤᏓᏅᏒᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏭᏯᏅᎲᎩ ᎤᎸᎢ ᎺᎵ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᏗᏕᏲᎲᏍᎩ ᎦᎷᎩ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏣᏯᏂᎭ.
29 And, she, when she heard, was roused up quickly, and was coming unto him.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏛᎦᏅ ᏱᎳᏉ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏚᎴᏅᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏭᎷᏤᎸᎩ.
30 Not yet, however, had Jesus come into the village, but was still in the place where, Martha, met him.
ᏥᏌᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎠᏏ ᏱᎦᎷᎨ ᎦᏚᎲᎢ, ᎾᎿᎭᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎹᏗ ᏫᏚᏠᏒ ᎡᏙᎲᎩ.
31 The Jews, therefore, who were with her in the house and consoling her, seeing Mary, that quickly she arose and went out, followed her, supposing that she was withdrawing unto the tomb, that she might weep there.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎦᎵᏦᏕ ᎤᏪᎸ ᎠᏂᏂ, ᎠᎴ ᎬᏩᏄᏬᎯᏍᏗᏍᎩ, ᎤᏂᎪᎲ ᎺᎵ ᎤᎵᏍᏗᏳ ᏚᎴᏅ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏄᎪᏨ ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏛᏒᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᏗᎦᏂᏌᎲ ᏩᎦᏘ ᎾᎿᎭᏮᏛᏍᎪᏂᎵ.
32 Mary, therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying unto him—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
ᎺᎵᏃ ᎤᎷᏨ ᏥᏌ ᎡᏙᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎪᎲ, ᏚᎳᏍᎬ ᎡᎳᏗ ᎤᏓᏅᏅᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏂ ᏱᎮᏙᎮᎢ, ᎥᏝ ᎥᎩᏙ ᏱᎬᏩᏲᎱᏎᎢ.
33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, was indignant in the spirit, and troubled himself,
ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᎪᎲ ᏓᏠᏱᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᎪᎲ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏂᏍᏓᏩᏙᎸᎯ ᏓᎾᏠᏱᎲᎢ, ᎡᎯᏍᏗ ᎤᏓᏅᏓᏛᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏕᏯᏙᏗ ᏄᎵᏍᏓᏁᎸᎩ.
34 and said—Where have ye laid him? They say unto him—Lord! come and see.
ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎭᏢ ᎡᏥᏅᏁᎢ? ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎡᎭᎦᏔ, ᎬᏬᏎᎸᎩ.
36 The Jews, therefore, were saying—See! how tenderly he loved him!
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᏂᎦᎡ ᎤᎨᏳᎯᏳ ᎨᏎᎢ.
37 But, some from among them, said—Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that, this one also, should not have died?
ᎢᎦᏛᏃ ᎤᎾᏓᏑᏴᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᏝᏍᎪ ᎯᎠ ᏗᎨᏫ ᏗᎦᏙᎵ ᏧᏍᏚᎢᎡᎸᎯ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏱᏂᎬᏩᏂᏌᏁ ᏄᏲᎱᏒᎾ ᏱᎦᎨᏎ ᎯᎠ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ?
38 Jesus, therefore, again, being indignant within himself, cometh unto the tomb. Now it was a cave, and, a stone, was lying thereon.
ᏥᏌᏃ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎡᎯᏍᏗ ᎤᏓᏅᏓᏛ ᎠᏤᎵᏍᏛ ᎤᎷᏨᎩ. ᎤᏍᏓᎦᎸ ᎨᏒᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏅᏯ ᎠᏍᏚᏛᎩ.
39 Jesus, saith, Take ye away the stone! Martha, the sister of the deceased, saith unto him—Lord! by this time, he stinketh, for it is, four days.
ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ, ᏅᏯ ᎢᏥᎲᎾ. ᎹᏗ ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᎤᏙ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎪᎯ ᎠᏎ ᎠᏒᎦ, ᏅᎩᏰᏃ ᏄᏒᎭ ᎦᏰᏥᏂᏌᏅᎯ.
40 Jesus saith unto her—Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?
ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏝᏍᎪ ᎯᎠ ᏱᏂᎬᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᎰᎯᏳᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᏣᎪᏩᏛᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ.
41 So they took away the stone. And, Jesus, lifted up his eyes on high, and said—Father! I thank thee, thou didst hear me:
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏅᏯ ᎤᏂᎲᏍᎩ ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᎦᏅᎢ. ᏥᏌᏃ ᏚᏌᎳᏓᏅᎩ ᏗᎦᏙᎵ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎡᏙᏓ, ᎬᏯᎵᎡᎵᏤᎭ ᏥᏍᏆᏛᎦᏁᎸ.
42 I, indeed, knew that, always, unto me, thou dost hearken; but, for the sake of the multitude standing around, I spake, —that they might believe that, thou, didst send me forth.
ᎠᎴ ᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎢ ᏍᏆᏛᎦᏁᎲᎢ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏴᏫ ᎠᏂ ᏣᏂᏙᎾᎠ ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏓ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏂᏥᏫ, ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏗᏱ ᏂᎯ ᏅᏓᏍᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ.
43 And, these things, having said, with a loud voice, he cried out—Lazarus! Come forth!
ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᏄᏪᏒ, ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᎤᏪᎷᏅᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᎳᏏᎳ, ᎡᎯᏄᎪᎢ.
44 He that was dead came forth, bound feet and hands with bandages, and, his face, with a napkin, was bound about. Jesus saith unto them—Loose him, and let him go.
ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯᏃ ᏓᏳᏄᎪᏨᎩ, ᏧᏬᏰᏂ ᎠᎴ ᏧᎳᏏᏕᏂ ᏚᏓᎸᏍᏛᎩ ᏗᎦᎸᏓᎸᏛ ᏗᏄᏬ, ᎤᎧᏛᏃ ᎠᏯᏠ ᎤᏓᎸᏍᏛᎩ. ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎡᏣᎸᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏤᏥᏲᎯ.
45 Many therefore from among the Jews, who had come unto Mary, and gazed on what he did, believed on him
ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏣᏛᎩ ᎤᎾᏓᏑᏴᎩ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎺᎵ ᎬᏩᎷᏤᎸᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᎪᎲᎯ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏌ ᏄᏛᏁᎸᎢ, ᎬᏬᎯᏳᏅᎩ.
46 but, certain from among them, went away unto the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus had done.
ᎢᎦᏛᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᏗᏂᏅ ᏭᏂᎶᏒᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏫᏚᏂᏃᏁᎸᎩ ᏥᏌ ᏄᏛᏁᎸᎩ.
47 The High-priests and Pharisees, therefore, brought together a high-council, and were saying—What are we to do, in that, this man, doeth, many signs?
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏉᎵᏏ ᏚᏂᎳᏫᏛᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ; ᎦᏙ ᎢᏓᏛᏁᎭ? ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᏣᏔ ᎤᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ ᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎭ.
48 If we let him alone thus, all, will believe on him, and the Romans will come, and take away, both our place and nation.
ᎢᏳᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᎩ ᏰᏕᎵᏎᎭ, ᏂᎦᏗᏳ ᏓᎬᏬᎯᏳᏂ, ᎠᏂᎶᎻᏃ ᏛᏂᎷᏥ ᎠᎴ ᏓᎨᎩᎩᎡᎵ ᎢᎦᏤᎵᎪᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᎦᏤᎵ ᏴᏫ ᏙᏓᎨᎩᏯᏅᎡᎵ.
49 But, a certain one from among them, Caiaphas, being, High-priest, for that year, said unto them—Ye, know, nothing at all;
ᎠᏏᏴᏫᏃ ᎤᏓᏑᏴᎩ, ᎧᏱᏆ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᎤᏕᏘᏴᏌᏗᏒ ᏄᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎨᎶᎯ ᎨᏒᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏱᏥᎦᏔᎭ,
50 nor do ye take into account, that it is profitable for you that, one man, should die for the people, and not, the whole nation, perish.
ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏣᏓᏅᏖᎭ ᎤᏟ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎢᎨᎦᎵᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᏏᏴᏫ ᎩᎶ ᏱᏓᏲᎱᎯᏎᎭ ᏴᏫ, ᎠᏃ ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎤᏅᏒ ᏯᎾᏗᏒᎲᏍᎦ.
51 This, however, from himself, he spake not, but, being, High-priest, for that year, he prophesied, that Jesus was about to die for the nation;
ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏪᏒᎩ, ᎥᏝ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎤᏓᏅᏖᏛ ᏱᎨᏎᎢ; ᎾᎯᏳ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎨᎶᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎤᏕᏘᏴᏌᏗᏒ ᎤᏙᎴᎰᏒᎩ ᏥᏌ ᏧᏲᎱᎯᏎᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏑᎾᏓᎴᎩ ᎨᏒ ᏴᏫ,
52 and, not for the nation only, but that, the scattered children of God also, he might gather together into one.
ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏑᎾᏓᎴᎩ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏅᏒ, ᎾᏍᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᏌᏉ ᎢᏧᏩᏁᏗᏱ ᏧᏪᏟᏐᏗᏱ ᎤᎾᏗᎦᎴᏲᏨᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏧᏪᏥ.
53 From that day, therefore, they took counsel, that they might put him to death.
ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎾᎯᏳ ᎤᎾᎴᏅᎲᎩ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᎸᎩ ᎤᏂᎯᏍᏗᏱ.
54 Jesus, therefore, no longer openly, was walking among the Jews, but departed thence, into the country near the desert, unto a city called, Ephraim; and, there, abode, with his disciples.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏥᏌ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎥᏝ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏱᏚᏪᎳᏗᏙᎴ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ; ᎾᎿᎭᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏂᎩᏒᎩ, ᎢᎾᎨ ᎾᎥ ᏭᎶᏅᎩ, ᎢᏆᎻ ᏚᏙᎥ ᏗᎦᏚᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᎿᎭᎤᏪᏅᎩ ᎠᎴ ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ.
55 Now the passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up unto Jerusalem, out of the country, before the passover, that they might purify themselves.
ᎠᏂᏧᏏᏃ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ ᎧᏃᎯᏰᎩ ᏗᎵᏍᏓᏴᏗᏱ ᎤᏍᏆᎸᎯᏗᏒᎩ; ᎤᏂᏣᏛᎩᏃ ᎾᎿᎭᎤᎾᏂᎩᏒᎩ ᏥᎷᏏᎵᎻ ᏭᏂᎶᏒᎩ ᎠᏏᏉ ᎾᏍᏆᎵᏍᎬᎾ ᎧᏃᎯᏰᎩ ᏗᎵᏍᏓᏴᏗᏱ, ᎤᎾᏓᏅᎦᎸᏗᏱ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᏒᎩ.
56 They were therefore seeking Jesus, and were saying one to another, in the temple, standing—How seemeth it unto you? that he will in nowise come unto the feast?
ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᏂᏲᎸᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏛᏅᏗᎦᎳᏫᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᏂᏙᎾᎥ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᎾᏓᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎦᏙ ᎢᏤᎵᎭ? ᏝᏍᎪ ᏓᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬ ᏴᏓᎦᎷᏥ?
57 Now the High-priests and the Pharisees had given commands, that, if anyone came to know where he was, he should inform [them], so that they might seize him.
ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒᏃ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᎤᏂᏁᏨᎯ ᎨᏒᎩ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᏯᎦᏔᎭ ᎡᏙᎲᎢ, ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏩᏁᏗᏱ, ᎤᏂᏂᏴᏗᏱ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᏒᎩ.
