John 11
1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister.
Մարիամի եւ անոր քրոջ՝ Մարթայի գիւղէն, Բեթանիայէն, Ղազարոս անունով մէկը հիւանդ էր:
2 And Mary was she who anointed the Lord with perfume, and wiped his feet with her hair—whose brother Lazarus was sick.
(Ասիկա այն Մարիամն էր՝ որ օծեց Տէրը օծանելիքով ու սրբեց անոր ոտքերը իր մազերով. անոր եղբայրը՝ Ղազարոս հիւանդ էր: )
3 The sisters, therefore, sent out unto him, saying—Lord, see! he whom thou tenderly lovest, is sick.
Ուրեմն իր քոյրերը մարդ ղրկեցին անոր եւ ըսին. «Տէ՛ր, ահա՛ ան՝ որ դուն կը սիրես՝ հիւանդ է»:
4 But Jesus hearing, said—This sickness, is not unto death, but for the glory of God, —that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.
Երբ Յիսուս լսեց՝ ըսաւ. «Այս հիւանդութիւնը մահուան համար չէ՝ հապա Աստուծոյ փառքին համար, որպէսզի Աստուծոյ Որդին փառաւորուի անով»:
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Արդարեւ Յիսուս կը սիրէր Մարթան եւ անոր քոյրն ու Ղազարոսը:
6 When, therefore, he heard that he was sick, then, indeed, he abode in the place where he was, two days.
Ուրեմն երբ լսեց թէ հիւանդ է, եղած տեղը երկու օր ալ մնաց.
7 Then, after this, he saith unto the disciples—Let us be leading on into Judaea, again.
յետոյ ըսաւ աշակերտներուն. «Եկէ՛ք, դարձեալ Հրէաստան երթանք»:
8 The disciples say unto him—Rabbi! just now, were the Jews seeking to stone thee—and, again, goest thou thither?
Աշակերտները ըսին իրեն. «Ռաբբի՛, Հրեաները հի՛մա կը փնտռէին քեզ՝ քարկոծելու համար, ու դա՞րձեալ հոն կ՚երթաս»:
9 Jesus answered—Are there not, twelve hours, in the day? If one walk in the day, he doth no stumble, because, the light of this world, he seeth;
Յիսուս պատասխանեց. «Օրը տասներկու ժամ չէ՞: Եթէ մէկը ցերեկը քալէ՝ չի սայթաքիր, որովհետեւ այս աշխարհի լոյսը կը տեսնէ.
10 But, if one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because, the light, is not in him.
բայց եթէ մէկը գիշերուան մէջ քալէ՝ կը սայթաքի, որովհետեւ իրեն հետ լոյս չկայ»:
11 These things, he said, and, after this, he saith unto them—Lazarus, our dear friend, hath fallen asleep; but I am going, that I may awake him.
Այս բաները խօսելէ ետք՝ ըսաւ անոնց. «Ղազարոս՝ մեր բարեկամը՝ քնացած է. բայց կ՚երթա՛մ՝ որպէսզի արթնցնեմ զայն»:
12 The disciples, therefore, said unto him—Lord! if he have fallen asleep, he will recover.
Իր աշակերտները ըսին. «Տէ՛ր, եթէ քնացած է՝ պիտի առողջանայ»:
13 But Jesus had spoken concerning his death; whereas, they, supposed that, concerning the taking of rest in sleep, he had been speaking.
Յիսուս կը խօսէր անոր մահուան մասին, բայց անոնք կը կարծէին թէ քունո՛վ հանգստանալուն մասին կը խօսէր:
14 Jesus, therefore, then, said unto them, plainly, —Lazarus, died;
Այն ատեն Յիսուս բացորոշապէս ըսաւ անոնց. «Ղազարոս մեռաւ.
15 and I rejoice, for your sake—that ye may believe, —that I was not there; but let us be going unto him.
ու ես ուրախ եմ ձեզի համար՝ որ հոն չէի, որպէսզի դուք հաւատաք. բայց եկէ՛ք՝ երթանք անոր»:
16 Thomas, therefore, the one called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples—Let, us also, be going, that we may die with him.
Թովմաս, որ Երկուորեակ կը կոչուէր, ըսաւ աշակերտակիցներուն. «Մե՛նք ալ երթանք՝ որպէսզի մեռնինք անոր հետ»:
17 Jesus, therefore, coming, found that, four days already, had he been in the tomb.
Երբ Յիսուս եկաւ, գտաւ որ ան արդէն չորս օրէ ի վեր գերեզմանը դրուած էր:
18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;
Բեթանիա Երուսաղէմի մօտ էր՝ տասնհինգ ասպարէզի չափ.
19 and, many from among the Jews, had come unto Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother.
եւ Հրեաներէն շատեր եկած էին Մարթայի ու Մարիամի, որպէսզի սփոփեն զանոնք իրենց եղբօր համար:
20 Martha, therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet him; but, Mary, in the house, remained sitting.
Ուստի՝ երբ Մարթա լսեց թէ Յիսուս կու գայ՝ գնաց դիմաւորելու զայն. բայց Մարիամ նստած էր տան մէջ:
21 Martha, therefore, said unto Jesus—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died;
Մարթա ըսաւ Յիսուսի. «Տէ՛ր, եթէ հոս ըլլայիր, եղբայրս չէր մեռներ.
22 And, now, I know, that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God, will give unto thee.
Բայց գիտեմ թէ հիմա ալ՝ դուն ի՛նչ որ խնդրես Աստուծմէ, Աստուած պիտի տայ քեզի»:
23 Jesus saith unto her—Thy brother shall rise.
Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Եղբայրդ յարութիւն պիտի առնէ»:
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise, in the resurrection, in the last day.
Մարթա ըսաւ անոր. «Գիտեմ թէ յարութեան ժամանակը՝ վերջին օրը՝ յարութիւն պիտի առնէ»:
25 Jesus said unto her—I, am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, even though he die, shall live again!
Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Ե՛ս եմ յարութիւնն ու կեանքը: Ա՛ն որ կը հաւատայ ինծի, թէեւ մեռնի՝ պիտի ապրի.
26 And, no one who liveth again and believeth on me, shall in anywise die, unto times age-abiding. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)
Եւ ո՛վ որ կ՚ապրի եւ կը հաւատայ ինծի, յաւիտեա՛ն պիտի չմեռնի: Դուն կը հաւատա՞ս ասոր»: (aiōn g165)
27 She saith unto him—Yea, Lord! I, have believed, that, thou, art the Christ, the Son of God, —He who, into the world, should come.
Ըսաւ անոր. «Այո՛, Տէ՛ր, ես կը հաւատամ թէ դո՛ւն ես Քրիստոսը՝ Աստուծոյ Որդին, որ աշխարհ պիտի գար»:
28 And this saying, she went away, and called Mary her sister, secretly, saying—The teacher, is present, and calleth thee.
Երբ ըսաւ ասիկա՝ գնաց, ու ծածկաբար կանչեց իր քոյրը՝ Մարիամը, ըսելով. «Վարդապետը եկած է, եւ կը կանչէ քեզ»:
29 And, she, when she heard, was roused up quickly, and was coming unto him.
Երբ ան լսեց՝ շուտով ոտքի ելաւ ու եկաւ անոր քով:
30 Not yet, however, had Jesus come into the village, but was still in the place where, Martha, met him.
Յիսուս դեռ եկած չէր գիւղը, հապա այն տեղն էր՝ ուր Մարթա դիմաւորեց զինք:
31 The Jews, therefore, who were with her in the house and consoling her, seeing Mary, that quickly she arose and went out, followed her, supposing that she was withdrawing unto the tomb, that she might weep there.
Բայց Հրեաները, որ տան մէջ էին անոր հետ եւ կը սփոփէին զայն, երբ տեսան թէ Մարիամ շուտով կանգնեցաւ ու գնաց, իրենք ալ հետեւեցան անոր՝ ըսելով. «Գերեզմանը կ՚երթայ՝ որպէսզի հոն լայ»:
32 Mary, therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying unto him—Lord! if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Իսկ Մարիամ, երբ հասաւ Յիսուսի եղած տեղը ու տեսաւ զինք, անոր ոտքը իյնալով՝ ըսաւ անոր. «Տէ՛ր, եթէ հոս ըլլայիր՝ եղբայրս չէր մեռներ»:
33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, was indignant in the spirit, and troubled himself,
Ուրեմն երբ Յիսուս տեսաւ զայն՝ որ կու լար, եւ անոր հետ եկող Հրեաները՝ որոնք կու լային, սրդողեցաւ իր հոգիին մէջ ու վրդովեցաւ,
34 and said—Where have ye laid him? They say unto him—Lord! come and see.
եւ ըսաւ. «Ո՞ւր դրած էք զայն»: Ըսին իրեն. «Տէ՛ր, եկո՛ւր ու տե՛ս»:
35 Jesus wept.
Յիսուս լացաւ:
36 The Jews, therefore, were saying—See! how tenderly he loved him!
Ուստի Հրեաները կ՚ըսէին. «Նայեցէ՛ք, ո՜րչափ կը սիրէր զայն»:
37 But, some from among them, said—Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that, this one also, should not have died?
Անոնցմէ ոմանք ալ կ՚ըսէին. «Ասիկա՝ որ կոյրին աչքերը բացաւ, չէ՞ր կրնար այնպէս ընել՝ որ ա՛յս ալ չմեռնէր»:
38 Jesus, therefore, again, being indignant within himself, cometh unto the tomb. Now it was a cave, and, a stone, was lying thereon.
Ուրեմն Յիսուս՝ դարձեալ սրդողելով ինքնիր մէջ՝ գնաց գերեզման. ան քարայր մըն էր, որուն վրայ քար մը դրուած էր:
39 Jesus, saith, Take ye away the stone! Martha, the sister of the deceased, saith unto him—Lord! by this time, he stinketh, for it is, four days.
Յիսուս ըսաւ. «Վերցուցէ՛ք այդ քարը»: Մեռելին քոյրը՝ Մարթա՝ ըսաւ անոր. «Տէ՛ր, արդէն նեխած պիտի ըլլայ, որովհետեւ չորս օրուան է»:
40 Jesus saith unto her—Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?
Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Քեզի չըսի՞ թէ պիտի տեսնես Աստուծոյ փառքը՝ եթէ հաւատաս»:
41 So they took away the stone. And, Jesus, lifted up his eyes on high, and said—Father! I thank thee, thou didst hear me:
Ուստի վերցուցին քարը: Յիսուս բարձրացուց իր աչքերը եւ ըսաւ. «Հա՛յր, շնորհակալ եմ քեզմէ՝ որ լսեցիր զիս:
42 I, indeed, knew that, always, unto me, thou dost hearken; but, for the sake of the multitude standing around, I spake, —that they might believe that, thou, didst send me forth.
Ու ես գիտէի թէ ամէն ատեն կը լսես զիս. բայց ըսի շուրջս կայնող բազմութեան համար, որպէսզի հաւատան թէ դո՛ւն ղրկեցիր զիս»:
43 And, these things, having said, with a loud voice, he cried out—Lazarus! Come forth!
Ասիկա ըսելէն ետք՝ բարձրաձայն պոռաց. «Ղազարո՛ս, դո՛ւրս եկուր»:
44 He that was dead came forth, bound feet and hands with bandages, and, his face, with a napkin, was bound about. Jesus saith unto them—Loose him, and let him go.
Մեռելն ալ ելաւ՝ ոտքերն ու ձեռքերը պատանքով կապուած, եւ դէմքը՝ վարշամակով պատուած: Յիսուս ըսաւ անոնց. «Արձակեցէ՛ք զինք, ու թո՛յլ տուէք որ երթայ»:
45 Many therefore from among the Jews, who had come unto Mary, and gazed on what he did, believed on him
Հրեաներէն շատեր՝ որ եկած էին Մարիամի քով, երբ տեսան Յիսուսի ըրածը՝ հաւատացին իրեն:
46 but, certain from among them, went away unto the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus had done.
Բայց անոնցմէ ոմանք գացին Փարիսեցիներուն ու պատմեցին անոնց Յիսուսի ըրածը:
47 The High-priests and Pharisees, therefore, brought together a high-council, and were saying—What are we to do, in that, this man, doeth, many signs?
Ուստի քահանայապետներն ու Փարիսեցիները ժողով գումարեցին՝՝ եւ ըսին. «Ի՞նչ ընենք, քանի որ այս մարդը բազմաթիւ նշաններ կ՚ընէ:
48 If we let him alone thus, all, will believe on him, and the Romans will come, and take away, both our place and nation.
Եթէ թոյլ տանք անոր՝ որ այսպէս շարունակէ, բոլորն ալ պիտի հաւատան անոր, ու Հռոմայեցիները պիտի գան եւ կործանեն մեր տեղն ու ազգը»:
49 But, a certain one from among them, Caiaphas, being, High-priest, for that year, said unto them—Ye, know, nothing at all;
Անոնցմէ մէկը՝ Կայիափա անունով, որ այդ տարուան քահանայապետն էր, ըսաւ անոնց.
50 nor do ye take into account, that it is profitable for you that, one man, should die for the people, and not, the whole nation, perish.
«Դուք ոչինչ գիտէք, ու չէք ալ մտածեր թէ աւելի օգտակար է մեզի՝ որ մէ՛կ մարդ մեռնի ժողովուրդին համար, եւ ամբողջ ազգը չկորսուի»:
51 This, however, from himself, he spake not, but, being, High-priest, for that year, he prophesied, that Jesus was about to die for the nation;
Բայց այս բանը ո՛չ թէ ինքնիրմէ ըսաւ, հապա այդ տարուան քահանայապետը ըլլալով՝ մարգարէացաւ թէ Յիսուս պիտի մեռնէր ազգին համար.
52 and, not for the nation only, but that, the scattered children of God also, he might gather together into one.
եւ ո՛չ միայն ազգին համար, այլ նաեւ հաւաքելով միացնելու համար Աստուծոյ ցրուած որդիները:
53 From that day, therefore, they took counsel, that they might put him to death.
Ուրեմն այդ օրէն ետք խորհրդակցեցան՝ որ սպաննեն զայն:
54 Jesus, therefore, no longer openly, was walking among the Jews, but departed thence, into the country near the desert, unto a city called, Ephraim; and, there, abode, with his disciples.
Ուստի ա՛լ Յիսուս բացորոշապէս չէր շրջեր Հրեաներուն մէջ, հապա անկէ գնաց անապատին մօտ երկրամաս մը, քաղաք մը՝ որ Եփրայիմ կը կոչուէր, եւ հոն կեցաւ իր աշակերտներուն հետ:
55 Now the passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up unto Jerusalem, out of the country, before the passover, that they might purify themselves.
Երբ Հրեաներուն Զատիկը մօտեցաւ, այդ երկրամասէն շատեր Երուսաղէմ բարձրացան Զատիկէն առաջ՝ որպէսզի մաքրագործեն իրենք զիրենք:
56 They were therefore seeking Jesus, and were saying one to another, in the temple, standing—How seemeth it unto you? that he will in nowise come unto the feast?
Ուստի կը փնտռէին Յիսուսը, ու տաճարին մէջ կեցած ատեն՝ կ՚ըսէին իրարու. «Ի՞նչ է ձեր կարծիքը. արդեօք բնա՛ւ պիտի չգա՞յ այս տօնին»:
57 Now the High-priests and the Pharisees had given commands, that, if anyone came to know where he was, he should inform [them], so that they might seize him.
Իսկ քահանայապետներն ու Փարիսեցիները պատուիրեր էին, որ եթէ մէկը գիտնայ անոր ո՛ւր ըլլալը՝ ցոյց տայ, որպէսզի ձերբակալեն զայն:
