< John 10 >
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you: —He that entereth not, through the door, into the fold of the sheep, but goeth up from another place, that man, is, a thief, and, a robber.
“Ddala ddala mbagamba nti atayita mu mulyango ng’ayingira mu kisibo ky’endiga, naye n’alinnyira awalala, oyo aba mubbi era munyazi.
2 But, he that entereth through the door, is, shepherd, of the sheep:
Naye ayingirira mu mulyango, ye musumba w’endiga.
3 To him, the porter openeth, and, the sheep, unto his voice, hearken: and, his own sheep, he calleth by name, and leadeth them forth.
Era oyo omuggazi amuggulirawo, n’endiga ziwulira eddoboozi lye, aziyita amannya gaazo n’azifulumya ebweru.
4 As soon as, all his own, he hath put forth, before them, he moveth on, and, the sheep, follow him, because they know his voice;
Azikulembera ne zimugoberera, kubanga zimanyi eddoboozi lye.
5 But, a stranger, will they in nowise follow, but will flee from him, because they know not the voice, of strangers.
Omulala gwe zitamanyi, tezimugoberera, zimudduka buddusi kubanga tezimanyi ddoboozi lye.”
6 This similitude, spake Jesus unto them; but, those men, understood not what the things were which he was speaking unto them.
Yesu n’abagerera olugero olwo, kyokka bo, ebyo tebaabitegeera.
7 Jesus, therefore, said, again—Verily, verily, I say unto you: —I, am the door of the sheep:
Awo Yesu kyeyava ayongera n’abagamba nti, “Ddala ddala mbagamba nti nze mulyango gw’endiga.
8 All, as many as came before me, are thieves, and, robbers: but the sheep hearkened nor unto them.
Abalala bonna abansooka baali babbi era banyazi, n’endiga tezaabawuliriza.
9 I, am the door: through me, if anyone enter, he shall be saved, and shall come in and go out, and, pasture, shall find.
Nze mulyango; buli ayingirira mu Nze alirokoka. Aliyingira, n’afuluma n’aliisibwa mu ddundiro.
10 The thief, cometh not, save that he may thieve and slay and destroy: I, came, that, life, they might have, and, above measure, might have.
Omubbi ky’ajjirira kwe kubba n’okutta n’okuzikiriza. Nze najja, zibe n’obulamu, era zibe nabwo mu bujjuvu.
11 I, am the good shepherd: The good shepherd, his life, layeth down, for the sheep.
“Nze musumba omulungi. Omusumba omulungi awaayo obulamu bwe olw’endiga.
12 The hireling, even because he is no shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, vieweth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, —and, the wolf, seizeth them and scattereth, —
Omupakasi, atali musumba, endiga nga si zize, bw’alaba omusege nga gujja adduka n’aleka awo endiga, omusege ne guzirumba ne guzisaasaanya.
13 Because, a hireling, he is, and hath no care for the sheep.
Akola atyo kubanga mupakasi, so n’endiga tazifaako.
14 I, am the good shepherd, and know my own, and, my own, know me, —
“Nze ndi musumba mulungi, n’endiga zange nzimanyi era nazo zimmanyi.
15 Just as, the Father, knoweth me, and, I, know, the Father; and, my life, I lay down for the sheep.
Nga Kitange bw’ammanyi, era nga nange bwe mmumanyi, bwe ntyo bwe mpaayo obulamu bwange olw’endiga.
16 And, other sheep, have I, which are not of this fold: those also, I must needs bring, and, unto my voice, will they hearken, and there shall come to be, One flock, One shepherd.
Nnina n’endiga endala ezitali za mu kisibo kino, nazo kiŋŋwanidde okuzireeta, era nazo ziriwulira eddoboozi lyange, endiga zonna ne ziba ekisibo kimu era ne ziba n’omusumba omu.
17 Therefore, doth the Father, love, me, because, I, lay down my life, that, again, I may receive it: —
Kitange kyava anjagala, kubanga mpaayo obulamu bwange ndyoke mbweddize.
18 No one, forced it from me, but, I, lay it down, of myself, —Authority, have I, to lay it down, and, authority, have I, again, to receive it: This commandment, received I, from my Father.
Tewali n’omu abunzigyako, wabula mbuwaayo lwa kwagala kwange. Nnina obuyinza okubuwaayo, era nnina obuyinza okubweddizza. Ekyo Kitange ye yakindagira.”
19 A division, again, took place among the Jews, because of these words.
Yesu bwe yayogera bw’atyo, empaka mu Bayudaaya, ne zisituka buto.
20 But many from among them were saying—A demon, he hath, and is raving, —Why, unto him, do ye hearken?
Bangi ku bo ne bagamba nti, “Aliko dayimooni oba si kyo alaluse. Lwaki mumuwuliriza?”
21 Others, said—These sayings, are not those of one demonized, —Can, a demon, open the eyes of, the blind?
Abalala ne bagamba nti, “Ebigambo bino si bya muntu aliko dayimooni. Dayimooni asobola okuzibula amaaso ga bamuzibe?”
22 The feast of dedication took place at that time, in Jerusalem: it was, winter,
Mu Yerusaalemi mwalimu embaga ey’Okutukuza, era bwali budde bwa butiti.
23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the porch of Solomon.
Yesu yali mu Yeekaalu ng’atambula mu kifo ekiyitibwa Ekisasi kya Sulemaani.
24 The Jews, therefore, surrounded him, and were saying unto him—How long, holdest thou, our lives, in suspense? If, thou, art the Christ, tell us, plainly.
Awo Abayudaaya ne bamwetooloola ne bamugamba nti, “Olituusa ddi okutubuusisabuusisa? Obanga ggwe Kristo kale tubuulirire ddala.”
25 Jesus answered them—I told you, and ye believe not: The works which, I, am doing in the name of my Father, the same, bear witness concerning me.
Yesu n’addamu nti, “Nababuulira dda naye temukkiriza. Ekikakasa ebyo gy’emirimu gye nkola mu linnya lya Kitange.
26 But, ye, believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.
Naye mmwe temunzikiriza kubanga temuli ba mu ndiga zange.
27 My sheep, unto my voice, hearken, —and, I, know, them, and they follow me, —
Endiga zange zitegeera eddoboozi lyange, era nzimanyi era zingoberera.
28 And, I, give unto them life age-abiding, and in nowise shall they perish, unto times age-abiding; and no one shall carry them off out of my hand. (aiōn , aiōnios )
Nziwa obulamu obutaggwaawo, era tezigenda kuzikirira. Tewali n’omu ayinza kuzisikula mu mikono gyange, (aiōn , aiōnios )
29 What, my Father, hath given me, is, something greater than all, and, no one, can carry off out of the hand of my Father: —
kubanga Kitange yazimpa, era ye tewali amusinga maanyi, noolwekyo tewali asobola kuzisikula kuva mu mukono gwa kitange.
30 I and the Father, are, one.
Nze ne Kitange tuli omu.”
31 The Jews again lifted up stones, that they might stone him.
Awo Abayudaaya ne bakwata amayinja okumukuba.
32 Jesus answered them—Many works, have I showed you, noble ones, from my Father: For which of those works are ye stoning me?
Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Mwalaba ebyamagero bingi Kitange bye yankozesa, kiruwa ku ebyo kye musinziirako okunkuba amayinja?”
33 The Jews answered him—Concerning a noble work, are we not stoning thee; but concerning profane speech, —and because, thou, being, a man, art making thyself, God.
Ne bamuddamu nti, “Tetukuvunaana lwa birungi by’okola wabula lwa kubanga ovvoola; ggwe oli muntu buntu naye weeyita Katonda.”
34 Jesus answered them—Is it not written in your law: I, said, Ye are, gods?
Yesu n’abaddamu nti, “Tekyawandiikibwa mu mateeka gammwe nti, Katonda yagamba nti, ‘Muli bakatonda’?
35 If, those, he called gods, unto whom, the word of God, came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—
Obanga abo abaweebwa ekigambo kya Katonda, yabayita bakatonda, ate ng’Ebyawandiikibwa tebidiba,
36 Of him whom, the Father, hallowed and sent forth into the world, are, ye, saying—Thou speakest profanely, because I said, Son of God, I am?
ate Nze, Kitange gwe yatukuza n’antuma mu nsi, lwaki mugamba nti avvoola kubanga ŋŋambye nti, Ndi Mwana wa Katonda?
37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe in me;
Obanga sikola ebyo Kitange by’ayagala nkole, kale temunzikiriza;
38 But, if I am doing them, even though, in me, ye believe not, in the works, believe, —that ye may get to know and go on to know, that the Father is, in me, and, I, am, in the Father.
naye obanga nkola by’ayagala, newaakubadde Nze temunzikiriza waakiri mukkirize ebyo bye nkola mulyoke mutegeere nti Kitange ali mu Nze, era nange ndi mu Kitange.”
39 They were [therefore] again seeking to take him; and he went forth out of their hand.
Awo ne bagezaako nate okumukwata, kyokka ne yeemulula.
40 And he went away again, beyond the Jordan, unto the place where John was at the first, immersing; and he abode there.
N’addayo emitala wa Yoludaani mu kifo Yokaana gye yasooka okubatiriza, n’abeera eyo.
41 And, many, came unto him, and were saying—John, indeed, did not so much as, one sign; but, all things, whatsoever John said concerning this one, were, true.
Abantu bangi ne bajja gy’ali nga bagamba nti, “Yokaana teyakola byamagero, naye buli kimu kye yayogera ku muntu ono kyali kya mazima.”
42 And, many, believed on him there.
Bangi ne bamukkiririza eyo.
