John 1
1 Originally, was, the Word, and, the Word, was, with God; and, the Word, was, God.
อาเทา วาท อาสีตฺ ส จ วาท อีศฺวเรณ สารฺธมาสีตฺ ส วาท: สฺวยมีศฺวร เอวฯ
2 The same, was originally, with God.
ส อาทาวีศฺวเรณ สหาสีตฺฯ
3 All things, through him, came into existence, and, without him, came into existence, not even one thing: that which hath come into existence,
เตน สรฺวฺวํ วสฺตุ สสฺฤเช สรฺเวฺวษุ สฺฤษฺฏวสฺตุษุ กิมปิ วสฺตุ เตนาสฺฤษฺฏํ นาสฺติฯ
4 in him, was, life, and, the life, was, the light of men.—
ส ชีวนสฺยาการ: , ตจฺจ ชีวนํ มนุษฺยาณำ โชฺยติ:
5 And, the light, in the darkness, shineth; and, the darkness, thereof, laid not hold.
ตชฺโชฺยติรนฺธกาเร ปฺรจกาเศ กินฺตฺวนฺธการสฺตนฺน ชคฺราหฯ
6 There arose a man, sent from God, whose name was, John:
โยหนฺ นามก เอโก มนุช อีศฺวเรณ เปฺรษยาญฺจเกฺรฯ
7 The same, came, for a witness, That he might bear witness, concerning the light, that, all, might believe, through him.
ตทฺวารา ยถา สรฺเวฺว วิศฺวสนฺติ ตทรฺถํ ส ตชฺโชฺยติษิ ปฺรมาณํ ทาตุํ สากฺษิสฺวรูโป ภูตฺวาคมตฺ,
8 He, was not the light, —but, that he might bear witness concerning the light,
ส สฺวยํ ตชฺโชฺยติ รฺน กินฺตุ ตชฺโชฺยติษิ ปฺรมาณํ ทาตุมาคมตฺฯ
9 It, was—The real light that enlighteneth every man—Coming into the world.
ชคตฺยาคตฺย ย: สรฺวฺวมนุเชโภฺย ทีปฺตึ ททาติ ตเทว สตฺยโชฺยติ: ฯ
10 In the world, he was, and, the world, through him, came into existence, and, the world, knew him not.
ส ยชฺชคทสฺฤชตฺ ตนฺมทฺย เอว ส อาสีตฺ กินฺตุ ชคโต โลกาสฺตํ นาชานนฺฯ
11 Into his own possessions, he came, and, his own people, received him not home.
นิชาธิการํ ส อาคจฺฉตฺ กินฺตุ ปฺรชาสฺตํ นาคฺฤหฺลนฺฯ
12 But, as many as did receive him, he gave, unto them, authority, children of God, to become, —unto them who were believing on his name:
ตถาปิ เย เย ตมคฺฤหฺลนฺ อรฺถาตฺ ตสฺย นามฺนิ วฺยศฺวสนฺ เตภฺย อีศฺวรสฺย ปุตฺรา ภวิตุมฺ อธิการมฺ อททาตฺฯ
13 Who—not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but—of God, were born.
เตษำ ชนิ: โศณิตานฺน ศารีริกาภิลาษานฺน มานวานามิจฺฉาโต น กินฺตฺวีศฺวราทภวตฺฯ
14 And, the Word, became, flesh, and pitched his tent among us, and we gazed upon his glory, —a glory, as an Only-begotten from his Father. Full of favour and truth.
ส วาโท มนุษฺยรูเปณาวตีรฺยฺย สตฺยตานุคฺรหาภฺยำ ปริปูรฺณ: สนฺ สารฺธมฺ อสฺมาภิ รฺนฺยวสตฺ ตต: ปิตุรทฺวิตียปุตฺรสฺย โยโคฺย โย มหิมา ตํ มหิมานํ ตสฺยาปศฺยามฯ
15 (John beareth witness concerning him, and hath cried aloud, saying—the same, was he that said—He who, after me, was coming, before me, hath advanced; because, my Chief, was he.)
ตโต โยหนปิ ปฺรจารฺยฺย สากฺษฺยมิทํ ทตฺตวานฺ โย มม ปศฺจาทฺ อาคมิษฺยติ ส มตฺโต คุรุตร: ; ยโต มตฺปูรฺวฺวํ ส วิทฺยมาน อาสีตฺ; ยทรฺถมฺ อหํ สากฺษฺยมิทมฺ อทำ ส เอษ: ฯ
16 Because, out of his fulness, we all, received, even favour over against favour.
อปรญฺจ ตสฺย ปูรฺณตายา วยํ สรฺเวฺว กฺรมศ: กฺรมโศนุคฺรหํ ปฺราปฺตา: ฯ
17 Because, the law, through Moses, was given, favour and truth, through Jesus Christ, came into existence.
มูสาทฺวารา วฺยวสฺถา ทตฺตา กินฺตฺวนุคฺรห: สตฺยตฺวญฺจ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏทฺวารา สมุปาติษฺฐตำฯ
18 No one, hath seen, God, at any time: An Only Begotten God, The One existing within the bosom of the Father, He, hath interpreted [him].
โกปิ มนุช อีศฺวรํ กทาปิ นาปศฺยตฺ กินฺตุ ปิตุ: โกฺรฑโสฺถ'ทฺวิตีย: ปุตฺรสฺตํ ปฺรกาศยตฺฯ
19 And, this, is the witness of John, when the Jews sent forth unto him, out of Jerusalem, priests and Levites, —that they might question him—Who art, thou?
ตฺวํ ก: ? อิติ วากฺยํ เปฺรษฺฏุํ ยทา ยิหูทียโลกา ยาชกานฺ เลวิโลกำศฺจ ยิรูศาลโม โยหน: สมีเป เปฺรษยามาสุ: ,
20 and he confessed, and did not deny, —and he confessed—I, am not, the Christ;
ตทา ส สฺวีกฺฤตวานฺ นาปหฺนูตวานฺ นาหมฺ อภิษิกฺต อิตฺยงฺคีกฺฤตวานฺฯ
21 and they questioned him—What then? Art, thou, Elijah? and he saith—I am not; The prophet, art, thou? and he answered—No!
ตทา เต'ปฺฤจฺฉนฺ ตรฺหิ โก ภวานฺ? กึ เอลิย: ? โสวทตฺ น; ตตเสฺต'ปฺฤจฺฉนฺ ตรฺหิ ภวานฺ ส ภวิษฺยทฺวาที? โสวทตฺ นาหํ ส: ฯ
22 So they said unto him—Who, art thou? that, an answer, we may give, unto them who sent us, —What sayest thou, concerning thyself?
ตทา เต'ปฺฤจฺฉนฺ ตรฺหิ ภวานฺ ก: ? วยํ คตฺวา เปฺรรกานฺ ตฺวยิ กึ วกฺษฺยาม: ? สฺวสฺมินฺ กึ วทสิ?
23 He said—I, am a Voice, of one crying aloud; —In the desert, make ye straight, the way of the Lord: according as said Isaiah the prophet.
ตทา โสวทตฺฯ ปรเมศสฺย ปนฺถานํ ปริษฺกุรุต สรฺวฺวต: ฯ อิตีทํ ปฺรานฺตเร วากฺยํ วทต: กสฺยจิทฺรว: ฯ กถามิมำ ยสฺมินฺ ยิศยิโย ภวิษฺยทฺวาที ลิขิตวานฺ โสหมฺฯ
24 And they had been sent forth from among the Pharisees;
เย เปฺรษิตาเสฺต ผิรูศิโลกา: ฯ
25 and they questioned him, and said unto him—Why, then, dost thou immerse, —if, thou, art not, the Christ, nor Elijah, nor, the Prophet?
ตทา เต'ปฺฤจฺฉนฺ ยทิ นาภิษิกฺโตสิ เอลิโยสิ น ส ภวิษฺยทฺวาทฺยปิ นาสิ จ, ตรฺหิ โลกานฺ มชฺชยสิ กุต: ?
26 John answered them, saying—I, immerse, in water. In the midst of you, standeth one, whom, ye, know not; —
ตโต โยหนฺ ปฺรตฺยโวจตฺ, โตเย'หํ มชฺชยามีติ สตฺยํ กินฺตุ ยํ ยูยํ น ชานีถ ตาทฺฤศ เอโก ชโน ยุษฺมากํ มธฺย อุปติษฺฐติฯ
27 after me, coming: —Of whom, I, am not worthy that I should unloose the thong of the sandal.
ส มตฺปศฺจาทฺ อาคโตปิ มตฺปูรฺวฺวํ วรฺตฺตมาน อาสีตฺ ตสฺย ปาทุกาพนฺธนํ โมจยิตุมปิ นาหํ โยโคฺยสฺมิฯ
28 These things, in Bethany, came to pass, beyond the Jordan, where John was, immersing.
ยรฺทฺทนนทฺยา: ปารสฺถไพถพารายำ ยสฺมินฺสฺถาเน โยหนมชฺชยตฺ ตสฺมิน สฺถาเน สรฺวฺวเมตทฺ อฆฏตฯ
29 On the morrow, he beholdeth Jesus, coming unto him, and saith—See! the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.
ปเร'หนิ โยหนฺ สฺวนิกฏมาคจฺฉนฺตํ ยิศุํ วิโลกฺย ปฺราโวจตฺ ชคต: ปาปโมจกมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย เมษศาวกํ ปศฺยตฯ
30 This, is he, of whom, I, said—After me, cometh a man, who, before me, hath advanced, because, my Chief, was he.
โย มม ปศฺจาทาคมิษฺยติ ส มตฺโต คุรุตร: , ยโต เหโตรฺมตฺปูรฺวฺวํ โส'วรฺตฺตต ยสฺมินฺนหํ กถามิมำ กถิตวานฺ ส เอวายํฯ
31 And, I, knew him not, but, that he might be manifested unto Israel, therefore, came, I, in water, immersing.
อปรํ นาหเมนํ ปฺรตฺยภิชฺญาตวานฺ กินฺตุ อิสฺราเยโลฺลกา เอนํ ยถา ปริจินฺวนฺติ ตทภิปฺราเยณาหํ ชเล มชฺชยิตุมาคจฺฉมฺฯ
32 And John bare witness, saying—I have gazed upon the Spirit, descending like a dove, out of heaven, —and it abode upon him.
ปุนศฺจ โยหนปรเมกํ ปฺรมาณํ ทตฺวา กถิตวานฺ วิหายส: กโปตวทฺ อวตรนฺตมาตฺมานมฺ อโสฺยปรฺยฺยวติษฺฐนฺตํ จ ทฺฤษฺฏวานหมฺฯ
33 And, I, knew him not, —but, he that sent me to immerse in water, he, unto me, said—Upon whomsoever thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding upon him, the same, is he that immerseth in Holy Spirit.
นาหเมนํ ปฺรตฺยภิชฺญาตวานฺ อิติ สตฺยํ กินฺตุ โย ชเล มชฺชยิตุํ มำ ไปฺรรยตฺ ส เอเวมำ กถามกถยตฺ ยโสฺยปรฺยฺยาตฺมานมฺ อวตรนฺตมฺ อวติษฺฐนฺตญฺจ ทฺรกฺษยสิ เสอว ปวิเตฺร อาตฺมนิ มชฺชยิษฺยติฯ
34 I, therefore, have seen, and borne witness—That, this, is, the, Son of God.
อวสฺตนฺนิรีกฺษฺยายมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ตนย อิติ ปฺรมาณํ ททามิฯ
35 On the morrow, again, was John standing, and, from among his disciples, two;
ปเร'หนิ โยหนฺ ทฺวาภฺยำ ศิษฺยาภฺยำ สารฺทฺเธํ ติษฺฐนฺ
36 and, looking at Jesus walking, he saith—See! the Lamb of God!
ยิศุํ คจฺฉนฺตํ วิโลกฺย คทิตวานฺ, อีศฺวรสฺย เมษศาวกํ ปศฺยตํฯ
37 and the two disciples hearkened unto him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
อิมำ กถำ ศฺรุตฺวา เทฺวา ศิเษฺยา ยีโศ: ปศฺจาทฺ อียตุ: ฯ
38 But Jesus, turning, and looking at them following, saith unto them—What seek ye? And, they, said unto him—Rabbi! which meaneth, when translated, Teacher, Where abidest thou?
ตโต ยีศุ: ปราวฺฤตฺย เตา ปศฺจาทฺ อาคจฺฉนฺเตา ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ปฺฤษฺฏวานฺ ยุวำ กึ คเวศยถ: ? ตาวปฺฤจฺฉตำ เห รพฺพิ อรฺถาตฺ เห คุโร ภวานฺ กุตฺร ติษฺฐติ?
39 He saith unto them—Be coming, and ye shall see. They came, therefore, and saw where he abode, and, with him, they abode that day. It was about the tenth, hour.
ตต: โสวาทิตฺ เอตฺย ปศฺยตํฯ ตโต ทิวสสฺย ตฺฤตียปฺรหรสฺย คตตฺวาตฺ เตา ตทฺทินํ ตสฺย สงฺเค'สฺถาตำฯ
40 One of the two that heard from John and followed him, was Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter.
เยา เทฺวา โยหโน วากฺยํ ศฺรุตฺวา ยิโศ: ปศฺจาทฺ อาคมตำ ตโย: ศิโมนฺปิตรสฺย ภฺราตา อานฺทฺริย:
41 The same findeth, first, his own brother Simon, and saith unto him—We have found the Messiah! which is, when translated, Anointed.
ส อิตฺวา ปฺรถมํ นิชโสทรํ ศิโมนํ สากฺษาตฺปฺราปฺย กถิตวานฺ วยํ ขฺรีษฺฏมฺ อรฺถาตฺ อภิษิกฺตปุรุษํ สากฺษาตฺกฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
42 He led him unto Jesus. Jesus, looking at him, said—Thou, art Simon, the son of John, —thou, shalt be called, Cephas; which is to be translated, Peter.
ปศฺจาตฺ ส ตํ ยิโศ: สมีปมฺ อานยตฺฯ ตทา ยีศุสฺตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวาวทตฺ ตฺวํ ยูนส: ปุตฺร: ศิโมนฺ กินฺตุ ตฺวนฺนามเธยํ ไกผา: วา ปิตร: อรฺถาตฺ ปฺรสฺตโร ภวิษฺยติฯ
43 On the morrow, he desired to go forth into Galilee. And Jesus findeth Philip, and saith unto him—Be following me!
ปเร'หนิ ยีเศา คาลีลํ คนฺตุํ นิศฺจิตเจตสิ สติ ผิลิปนามานํ ชนํ สากฺษาตฺปฺราปฺยาโวจตฺ มม ปศฺจาทฺ อาคจฺฉฯ
44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
ไพตฺไสทานามฺนิ ยสฺมินฺ คฺราเม ปิตรานฺทฺริยโยรฺวาส อาสีตฺ ตสฺมินฺ คฺราเม ตสฺย ผิลิปสฺย วสติราสีตฺฯ
45 Philip, findeth, Nathanael, and saith unto him—Him, of whom wrote Moses in the law, and the Prophets, have we found.—Jesus, son of Joseph, him from Nazareth!
ปศฺจาตฺ ผิลิโป นิถเนลํ สากฺษาตฺปฺราปฺยาวทตฺ มูสา วฺยวสฺถา คฺรนฺเถ ภวิษฺยทฺวาทินำ คฺรนฺเถษุ จ ยสฺยาขฺยานํ ลิขิตมาเสฺต ตํ ยูษผ: ปุตฺรํ นาสรตียํ ยีศุํ สากฺษาทฺ อการฺษฺม วยํฯ
46 And Nathanael said unto him—Out of Nazareth, can any good thing come? Philip saith unto him—Come, and see!
ตทา นิถเนลฺ กถิตวานฺ นาสรนฺนคราต กึ กศฺจิทุตฺตม อุตฺปนฺตุํ ศกฺโนติ? ตต: ผิลิโป 'โวจตฺ เอตฺย ปศฺยฯ
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming unto him, and saith concerning him—See! Truly, an Israelite, in whom is no guile.
อปรญฺจ ยีศุ: สฺวสฺย สมีปํ ตมฺ อาคจฺฉนฺตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา วฺยาหฺฤตวานฺ, ปศฺยายํ นิษฺกปฏ: สตฺย อิสฺราเยโลฺลก: ฯ
48 Nathanael saith unto him—Whence, dost thou, know, me? Jesus answered, and said unto him—Before Philip called thee, —when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
ตต: โสวททฺ, ภวานฺ มำ กถํ ปฺรตฺยภิชานาติ? ยีศุรวาทีตฺ ผิลิปสฺย อาหฺวานาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ ยทา ตฺวมุฑุมฺพรสฺย ตโรรฺมูเล'สฺถาสฺตทา ตฺวามทรฺศมฺฯ
49 Nathanael answered him—Rabbi! thou, art, the Son of God: Thou, art, King, of Israel.
นิถเนลฺ อจกถตฺ, เห คุโร ภวานฺ นิตานฺตมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ปุโตฺรสิ, ภวานฺ อิสฺราเยลฺวํศสฺย ราชาฯ
50 Jesus answered, and said unto him—Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? A greater thing than these, shalt thou see!
ตโต ยีศุ รฺวฺยาหรตฺ, ตฺวามุฑุมฺพรสฺย ปาทปสฺย มูเล ทฺฤษฺฏวานาหํ มไมตสฺมาทฺวากฺยาตฺ กึ ตฺวํ วฺยศฺวสี: ? เอตสฺมาทปฺยาศฺจรฺยฺยาณิ การฺยฺยาณิ ทฺรกฺษฺยสิฯ
51 And he saith unto him—Verily, verily, I say unto you: Ye shall see heaven—when set open, and, the messengers of God, ascending and descending unto the Son of Man.
อนฺยจฺจาวาทีทฺ ยุษฺมานหํ ยถารฺถํ วทามิ, อิต: ปรํ โมจิเต เมฆทฺวาเร ตสฺมานฺมนุชสูนุนา อีศฺวรสฺย ทูตคณมฺ อวโรหนฺตมาโรหนฺตญฺจ ทฺรกฺษฺยถฯ
