Joel 3
1 For lo! in those days, and at that time, —when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
Denn siehe, in jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit, wenn ich die Gefangenen Judas und Jerusalems zurückbringen will,
2 Then will I gather all the nations, and bring them down into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —and will enter into judgment with them there, concerning my people, and mine inheritance Israel, whom they scattered among the nations, and, my land, they apportioned;
da werde ich alle Nationen versammeln und sie ins Tal Josaphat hinabführen und daselbst mit ihnen rechten wegen meines Volkes und meines Erbteils Israel, weil sie es unter die Heiden zerstreut und mein Land verteilt haben;
3 And, for my people, they cast lots, —and gave a boy for a harlot, and a girl sold they for wine—and drank.
und weil sie über mein Volk das Los geworfen und den Knaben für eine Dirne hingegeben und das Mädchen um Wein verkauft und vertrunken haben.
4 Moreover also, what have, ye, to do with me, O Tyre and Zidon, and all the circuit of Palestine? A recompense, are ye paying back unto me? But, though ye should make a recompense unto me, swiftly, speedily, would I return your recompense upon your own head.
Und was wollt ihr mit mir, Tyrus und Zidon und sämtliche Bezirke der Philister? Wollt ihr mir etwa vergelten, was ich getan? Wenn ihr mir vergelten wollt, so bringe ich schnell und unverzüglich euer Tun auf euren Kopf,
5 Because, my silver and my gold, ye took away, —and, my richly beautiful things, carried ye into your temples;
die ihr mein Silber und mein Gold genommen und meine besten Kleinodien in eure Tempel gebracht
6 And, the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem, ye sold to the sons of Greece, —that they might be far removed from their own boundary.
und die Kinder von Juda und Jerusalem an die Griechen verkauft habt, um sie von ihrer Heimat zu entfernen!
7 Behold me! rousing them up out of the place whither ye sold them, —So will I bring back your dealing upon your own head.
Siehe, ich wecke sie auf an dem Ort, dahin ihr sie verkauft habt, und will euer Tun auf euren Kopf zurückfallen lassen
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to Sabeans, unto a nation afar off, —for, Yahweh, hath spoken.
und will eure Söhne und eure Töchter in die Hand der Kinder Juda verkaufen, und diese werden sie den Sabäern, einem weit weg wohnenden Volk, verkaufen; denn der HERR hat's gesagt.
9 Proclaim ye this, among the nations, Hallow a war, rouse the mighty ones, let them draw near, come up, all the men of war!
Rufet solches aus unter den Nationen, rüstet euch zum heiligen Krieg! Machet euch auf, ihr Helden! Alle Krieger sollen einrücken und ausziehen!
10 Beat your plough-shares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears, —as for the weak, let him say, mighty, I am.
Schmiedet eure Pflugscharen zu Schwertern um und eure Rebmesser zu Spießen! Der Schwache spreche: Ich bin stark!
11 Give help—and come in, all ye nations on every side, and gather yourselves together, —Thither, bring down, O Yahweh, thy mighty ones!
Eilet und kommt herbei, alle Nationen ringsum, und versammelt euch! Dorthin führe, o HERR, deine Helden hinab!
12 Let the nations, be roused, and come up, into the Vale of Jehoshaphat, —for, there, will I sit to judge all the nations, on every side.
Die Nationen sollen sich aufmachen und in das Tal Josaphat hinaufziehen! Daselbst will ich zu Gericht sitzen über alle Nationen ringsum.
13 Thrust ye in the vintage knife, for, grown ripe, is the vintage, —Go in, tread down, for full is the winepress, flow over do the vats, for abundant is their wickedness.
Leget die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist reif; kommt und tretet, denn die Kelter ist voll; die Kufen fließen über, denn ihre Bosheit ist groß!
14 Multitudes, multitudes, in the vale of strict decision, —for near is the day of Yahweh, in the vale of strict decision.
Scharen um Scharen [treffen ein] im Tal der Entscheidung; denn nahe ist der Tag des HERRN im Tale der Entscheidung.
15 The sun and the moon, have become dark, —and, the stars, have withdrawn their shining,
Sonne und Mond trauern, und die Sterne verlieren ihren Schein,
16 And, Yahweh, out of Zion, will roar, and, out of Jerusalem, will utter his voice, and the heavens and the earth, shall tremble, —but, Yahweh, shall be a shelter to his people, and a refuge to the sons of Israel.
und der HERR wird aus Zion brüllen und von Jerusalem her seine Stimme hören lassen, daß Himmel und Erde zittern; aber der HERR ist seines Volkes Schutz und die Zuflucht der Kinder Israel.
17 So shall ye know that, I, Yahweh, am your God, making my habitation in Zion my holy mountain, —So shall, Jerusalem, be, holy, and, foreigners, shall pass through her no more.
Und ihr sollt erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, euer Gott, zu Zion, auf meinem heiligen Berge, wohne. Jerusalem aber wird heilig sein, und Fremde sollen es nicht mehr betreten.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow down with milk, and, all the channels of Judah, shall flow down with waters, —and, a spring, out of the house of Yahweh, shall come forth, and shall water the torrent-valley of the acacias.
Und zu jener Zeit wird es geschehen, daß die Berge von Most triefen und die Hügel von Milch fließen werden; alle Bäche Judas werden voll Wasser sein, und aus dem Hause des HERRN wird eine Quelle hervorbrechen und das Tal Sittim bewässern.
19 Egypt, to a desolation, shall be turned, and, Edom, to a desert most desolate, shall be changed, —because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, in that they shed innocent blood in their land.
Ägypten soll zur Wüste werden und Edom zu einer öden Trift, wegen der Mißhandlung der Kinder Juda, weil sie in deren Lande unschuldiges Blut vergossen haben.
20 But, Judah, age-abidingly, shall remain, and, Jerusalem, to generation after generation.
Juda aber soll ewig bewohnt werden und Jerusalem für und für.
21 And I will free from their blood-guiltiness them whom I had not freed, —for, Yahweh, is about to make his habitation in Zion.
Und ich will ihr Blut rächen, das ich noch nicht gerächt habe! Und der HERR wird in Zion wohnen bleiben.
