< Job 5 >
1 Call, I pray thee—is there one to answer thee? Or, to which of the holy ones, wilt thou turn?
Hadda bal u yeedh, mid kuu jawaabayaa ma jiraa? Balse kuwa quduuska ah midkoodee baad u jeesanaysaa?
2 For, to the foolish man, death is caused by vexation, and, the simple one, is slain by jealousy.
Waayo, ninkii nacas ah xanaaqiisaa dila, Oo kii doqon ahna ciilkiisaa dila.
3 I, have seen the foolish taking root, and then hath his home decayed, in a moment:
Anba waxaan arkay nacas xidid yeeshay. Laakiinse degdeg baan u habaaray rugtiisii.
4 His children are far removed from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, and there is none to deliver:
Carruurtiisu nabaadiino way ka fog yihiin, Oo iridda agteeda ayaa iyaga lagu burburiyaa, Mana jiro mid samatabbixiyaa.
5 Whose harvest, the hungry, eateth up, and, even out of thorn hedges, he taketh it, and the snare gapeth for their substance.
Kuwaas beertay goostaan waxaa cuna kuwa gaajaysan, Oo xataa qodxanta way kala soo dhex bixiyaan, Oo maalkoodana waxaa afka u kala haya siriq.
6 For sorrow, cometh not forth out of the dust, —nor, out of the ground, sprouteth trouble.
Waayo, belaayo kama soo baxdo ciidda, Dhibaatona kama soo dhex booddo dhulka,
7 Though, man, to trouble, were born, as, sparks, on high, do soar,
Laakiinse binu-aadmigu dhibaato buu u dhashay, Sida dhimbiiluhu kor ugu duulaan.
8 Yet indeed, I, would seek unto El, and, unto Elohim, would I set forth any cause: —
Aniguse Ilaah baan baryi lahaa, Oo xaalkaygana Ilaah baan u dhiibi lahaa,
9 Who doeth great things, beyond all search, —Wondrous things, till they cannot be recounted;
Kaasoo sameeya waxyaalo waaweyn oo aan la baadhi karin, Iyo waxyaalo yaab badan oo aan la tirin karin,
10 Who giveth rain, upon the face of the earth, and sendeth forth waters, over the face of the open fields;
Oo dhulka roob ku di'iya, Beerahana biyo u soo dira.
11 Setting the lowly on high, and, mourners, are uplifted to safety;
Oo kuwa hooseeyana kor buu u qaadaa, Kuwa baroortana nabaadiinuu ku sarraysiiyaa.
12 Who doth frustrate the schemes of the crafty, that their hands cannot achieve abiding success;
Madhnaan buu ka dhigaa talada khaa'innada, Si ayan gacmahoodu u oofin karin farsamadoodii.
13 Who captureth the wise in their own craftiness, yea the headlong counsel of the crooked:
Isagu kuwa xigmadda leh ayuu khiyaanadooda ku qabtaa; Oo kuwa qalloocan taladoodana degdeg baa loo rogaa.
14 By day, they encounter darkness, and, as though it were night, they grope at high noon.
Oo maalinnimada ayay gudcur helaan, Oo hadhka ayay wax haabhaabtaan sida habeennimada oo kale.
15 But he saveth from the sword, out of their mouth, and, out of the hand of the strong, the needy.
Laakiinse isagu kuwa baahan ayuu ka badbaadiyaa seefta afkooda, Iyo kuwa xoogga badan gacantooda.
16 Thus to the poor hath come hope, and, perversity, hath shut her mouth.
Sidaas daraaddeed kii miskiin ahu rajuu leeyahay, Xumaantuse afkeeday xidhaa.
17 Lo! how happy is the man whom God correcteth! Therefore, the chastening of the Almighty, do not thou refuse;
Bal eeg, waxaa faraxsan ninkii Ilaah canaanto, Haddaba ha quudhsan Qaadirka edbintiisa.
18 For, he, woundeth that he may bind up, He smiteth through, that, his own hands, may heal.
Waayo, isagu wax buu nabar u yeelaa, waana duubaa; Wuu dhaawacaa, gacmihiisuna way bogsiiyaan.
19 In six troubles, he will rescue thee, and, in seven, there shall smite thee no misfortune:
Wuxuu kaa samatabbixin doonaa lix dhibaato, Oo marka toddobaadna belaayo kuma taaban doonto innaba.
20 In famine, he will ransom thee from death, and in battle from the power of the sword;
Wakhtiga abaarta ah dhimashuu kaa furan doonaa, Wakhtiga dagaalkana xoogga seefta.
21 During the scourge of the tongue, shalt thou be hid, neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh;
Waad ka qarsoonaan doontaa karbaashidda carrabka; Oo baabbi'iddu markay timaadana kama aad cabsan doontid innaba.
22 At destruction and at hunger, shalt thou laugh, and, of the wild beast of the earth, be not thou afraid;
Waad ku qosli doontaa baabbi'idda iyo abaarta, Oo dugaagga dhulkana kama aad baqi doontid.
23 For, with the stones of the field, shall be thy covenant, and, the wild beast of the field, hath been made thy friend;
Waayo, axdi baad la yeelan doontaa dhagaxyada berrinka, Oo dugaagga duurkana heshiis baad la ahaan doontaa.
24 And thou shalt know that, at peace, is thy tent, and shalt visit thy fold, and miss nothing;
Oo waxaad ogaan doontaa in teendhadaadu nabdoon tahay, Oo xeradaada waad soo booqon doontaa, oo waxba kama waayi doontid innaba.
25 And thou shalt know, that numerous is thy seed, and, thine offspring, like the young shoots of the field.
Oo weliba waxaad ogaan doontaa in farcankaagu badnaan doono, Oo dhashaaduna sida cawska dhulka bay ahaan doontaa.
26 Thou shalt come, yet robust, to the grave, as a stack of sheaves mounteth up in its season.
Oo cimri dheer baad qabrigaaga ku geli doontaa, Sida xidhmo hadhuudh ah xilliga loo soo xidho.
27 Lo! as for this, we have searched it out—so, it is, Hear it, and know, thou, for thyself.
Bal eeg, annagu xaalkan waannu baadhnay, oo sidaas bayna tahay, Haddaba bal maqal, oo nafsaddaada u ogow.
