Job 40
1 And Yahweh responded to Job, and said: —
Ary Jehovah mbola namaly an’ i Joba nanao hoe:
2 Shall a reprover contend, with the Almighty? He that disputeth with GOD, let him answer it!
Hiady amin’ ny Tsitoha va io mpanadidy Azy io? Aoka ny mananatra an’ Andriamanitra no hamaly!
3 Then Job responded to Yahweh, and said: —
Ary Joba dia namaly an’ i Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
4 Lo! I am of no account, what shall I reply to thee? My hand, have I laid on my mouth:
Indro, tsinontsinona, aho ka inona no azoko avaly Anao? Hitampim-bava aho izao.
5 Once, have I spoken, but I will not proceed, yea twice, but I will not add.
Efa niteny indray mandeha aho, ka tsy hamaly intsony; Eny, indroa aza, fa tsy hanampy teny intsony aho.
6 So then Yahweh responded to Job, out of a storm, and said: —
Dia namaly an’ i Joba teo amin’ ny tafio-drivotra Jehovah ka nanao hoe:
7 Gird, I pray thee—as a strong man—thy loins, I will ask thee, and inform thou me.
Misikìna tahaka ny lehilahy; Fa hanadina anao Aho, ka ampahafantaro Aho:
8 Wilt thou even frustrate my justice? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest appear right?
Hanaisotra ny rariny amiko va ianao? Hanameloka Ahy va ianao, mba hanamarina ny tenanao kosa?
9 But if, an arm like GOD, thou hast, and, with a voice like his, thou canst thunder,
Manan-tsandry tahaka ny an’ Andriamanitra va ianao? Ary mahay mampikotrokotro-peo tahaka ny Azy va ianao?
10 Deck thyself, I pray thee, with majesty and grandeur, Yea, with dignity and splendour, thou shalt clothe thyself;
Miravaha fahalehibiazana sy tabiha ianao, ary mitafia famirapiratana sy voninahitra;
11 Pour out thy transports of anger, and look on every one who is high, and lay him low;
Alefaso ny fahatezeranao mirehitra; Ary jereo ny avonavona rehetra, ka ampietreo.
12 Look on every one who is high, and humble him, yea tread down the lawless, on the spot:
Eny, jereo ny avonavona rehetra, ka aongàny; Ary apotrahy eo amin’ ny fitoerany ihany ny ratsy fanahy.
13 Hide them in the dust all together, Their faces, bind thou in darkness;
Asitriho ao amin’ ny vovoka avokoa izy rehetra; Sarony ao amin’ ny fiafenana ny tavany.
14 And, even I myself, will praise thee, in that thine own right hand can bring thee salvation.
Fa Izaho kosa dia hidera anao, Satria mahavonjy anao ny tananao ankavanana.
15 Behold, I pray thee, the Hippopotamus, which I made with thee, Grass—like the ox, he eateth;
He! jereo ange ny behemota, izay nataoko tahaka ny nanaovako anao ihany: Mihinana ahitra tahaka ny omby izy.
16 Behold, I pray thee, his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly;
Indro, eo amin’ ny valahany ny heriny, ary eo amin’ ny ozatra amin’ ny kibony ny tanjany.
17 He bendeth down his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his thighs, are twisted together;
Henjaniny ny rambony ho tahaka ny hazo sedera; Mifaniditriditra ny ozatra amin’ ny feny
18 His bones, are barrels of bronze, his frame, is like hammered bars of iron:
Ny taolany dia tahaka ny fantsom-barahina, eny, tahaka ny anja-by ny taolany.
19 He, is the beginning of the ways of GOD, Let his maker, present him his sword:
Voalohany amin’ ny asan’ Andriamanitra izy; Ny Mpanao azy no nanome sabatra azy.
20 Surely the mountains bring, produce, to him, where, all the wild beasts of the field, do play;
Mamoaka hanina ho azy ny tendrombohitra, izay ilalaovan’ ny bibi-dia rehetra;
21 Under the lotus-trees, he lieth down, in a covert of reed and swamp;
Eo ambanin’ ny hazo lota no andriany, any am-pierena anaty zozoro sy fotaka.
22 The lotus-trees cover him with their shade, the willows of the torrent-bed compass him about;
Manalokaloka azy ny hazo lota; Ary ny hazomalahelo eny amoron’ ny ony no manodidina azy
23 Lo! the river becometh insolent—he is not alarmed! He is confident, though a Jordan burst forth to his mouth:
Indro, na dia maria aza ny ony, tsy manahy izy; Matoky izy, na dia misy Jordana migorodana amin’ ny vavany aza.
24 Before his eyes, shall he be caught? With a hook, can one pierce his nose?
Moa misy mahasambotra azy va, raha mihiratra ny masony? Raha azon’ ny fandrika izy, misy mahatsindrona ny orony va?
