< Job 38 >
1 Then Yahweh responded to Job, out of a storm, and said: —
Markaasaa Rabbigu Ayuub uga jawaabay dabaysha cirwareenta ah, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,
2 Who is it that darkeneth counsel, by words, without knowledge?
Waa kuma kan talada ku madoobeeya Erayada aan aqoonta lahayn?
3 Gird, I pray thee—like a strong man—thy loins, that I may ask thee, and inform thou me:
Haddaba sida nin rag ah dhexda u gunto, Waayo, wax baan ku weyddiinayaa, oo adna waa inaad ii sheegtaa.
4 Where wast thou, when I founded the earth? Tell, if thou knowest understanding!
Markaan dunida aasaaskeeda dhigay xaggee baad joogtay? Haddaad waxgarad tahay, taas ii sheeg.
5 Who set the measurements thereof, if thou knowest? Or who stretched out over it a line?
Haddaadse taqaanid yaa qiyaasteeda amray? Amase yaa xadhiggii lagu qiyaasay ku kor fidiyey?
6 Whereon were the pedestals thereof sunk? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; —
Aasaaskeedase bal xaggee baa lagu dejiyey? Amase yaa dhigay dhagaxa geeska ah
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Markay xiddigaha aroorya isla wada heeseen, Oo ay carruurta Ilaah oo dhammu farxad la qayliyeen?
8 Or [who] shut in, with double doors, the sea, when, bursting out of the womb, it came forth;
Amase yaa badda albaabbo ku xidhay markay u soo faruurantay Sidii wax maxal ka soo baxay,
9 When I put a cloud as the garment thereof, and a thick cloud as the swaddling-band thereof;
Iyo markaan daruurta dharka uga dhigay, Oo aan gudcurka maro lagu duudduubo uga dhigay,
10 And brake off for it my boundary, and fixed a bar and double doors;
Oo aan hareeraheeda xad u amray, Oo aan u yeelay qataarro iyo albaabbo,
11 And said—Hitherto, shalt thou come, and no further, —and, here, shalt thou set a limit to the majesty of thy waves?
Oo aan ku idhi, Ilaa halkan soo gaadh, laakiinse innaba ha soo dhaafin, Oo hirarkaaga kibirka lahu waa inay halkan ku joogsadaan?
12 Since thy days [began] hast thou commanded the morning? or caused the dawn to know its place;
Tan iyo waagii aad dhalatay marna subaxda ma amartay? Waaberigase ma meeshiisaad ogeysiisay,
13 That it might lay hold of the wings of the earth, and the lawless be shaken out of it?
Si uu u qabsado dhulka darfihiisa, Oo sharrowyada looga hurgufo?
14 It transformeth itself like the clay of a seal, so that things stand forth like one arrayed;
Waa loo beddelaa sidii dhoobo shaabad ka hoosaysa, Oo wax kastaaba waxay kor uga muuqdaan sidii dhar oo kale,
15 That their light may be withdrawn from the lawless, and, the lofty arm, be shivered.
Oo sharrowyadana iftiinkooda waa loo diiday, Oo gacantii sarraysayna waa la jebiyey.
16 Hast thou entered as far as the springs of the sea? Or, through the secret recesses of the resounding deep, hast thou wandered?
Adigu miyaad badda ilaheeda dhex gashay? Miyaadse moolka salkiisa martay?
17 Have the gates of death been disclosed to thee? And, the gates of the death-shade, couldst thou descry?
Geerida irdaheeda miyaa laguu muujiyey? Miyaadse aragtay irdaha hooska dhimashada?
18 Hast thou well considered, even the breadths of the earth? Tell—if thou knowest it all!
Miyaad garanaysaa dhulka ballaadhkiisa? Haddaad waxaas wada taqaanid ii sheeg.
19 Where then is the way, the light shall abide? And, the darkness, where then is its place?
Rugta iftiinka jidka loo maraa waa xaggee? Gudcurkase meeshiisu waa xaggee,
20 That thou mayest conduct it unto the bound thereof, and that thou mayest perceive the paths to its house.
Si aad soohdintiisa u martid, Oo aad u garatid wadiiqooyinka gurigiisa loo maro?
21 Thou knowest, for, then, hadst thou been born! And, in number, thy days are many!
Shakila'aan waad taqaan, waayo, adigu wakhtigaas waad dhalanayd Oo cimrigaaguna wuu dheer yahay!
22 Hast thou entered into the treasuries of the snow? And, the treasuries of the hail, couldst thou see?
Adigu miyaad dhex gashay meesha barafka cad lagu kaydiyo? Miyaadse aragtay meesha roobdhagaxyaalaha la dhigo,
23 Which I have reserved for a time of distress, for the day of conflict and of war?
Kuwaasoo aan u kaydsaday wakhtiga dhibaatada, Iyo maalinta dirirta iyo dagaalka?
24 Where then is the way the lightning is parted? The east wind spreadeth itself abroad over the earth.
Iftiinka jidkee baa lagu kala qaybiyaa? Dabaysha barise sidee baa dhulka loogu kor firdhiyaa?
25 Who hath cloven—for the torrent—a channel? Or a way for the lightning of thunders;
Bal yaa jid u sameeyey biyaha daadka ah, Amase hillaaca onkodka,
26 To give rain over the no-man’s land, the desert, where no son of earth is;
Si roob ugu da'o dhul aan binu-aadmina joogin, Iyo cidlada aan ninna degganayn,
27 To satisfy the wild and the wilderness, to cause to spring forth the meadow of young grass?
Si uu u dherjiyo dhulka cidlo iyo baabba' ah, Oo uu doog jilicsan uga soo bixiyo?
28 Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Roobku ma aabbuu leeyahay? Yaase dhalay dhibicyaha sayaxa?
29 Out of whose womb, came forth the ice? And, the hoar-frost of the heavens, who hath given it birth?
Barafkuse bal yuu maxalkiisa ka soo baxay? Yaase dhalay sayaxa barafoobay ee cirka ka yimaada?
30 Like a stone, are the waters congealed, and, the face of the roaring deep, becometh firm!
Biyihii waxay u adkaadeen sidii dhagax oo kale, Oo moolka korkiisiina wuu barafoobay.
31 Canst thou bind the fetters of the Pleiades? Or, the bands of Orion, canst thou unloose?
Adigu miyaad xidhi kartaa ururka xiddigaha ee Toddobaadyada la yidhaahdo? Miyaadse furi kartaa ururka Oriyon la yidhaahdo?
32 Canst thou bring forth the signs of the Zodiac each in its season? Or, the Bear and her Young, canst thou lead?
Miyaad kartaa inaad xiddigaha Masarood la yidhaahdo xilligooda soo saarto? Miyaadse ururka xiddigaha ee Orsada la yidhaahdo carruurtiisa la kaxayn kartaa?
33 Knowest thou, the statutes of the heavens? Or didst thou appoint his dominion over the earth?
Miyaad taqaan amarrada samooyinka? Dowladnimadoodana ma dhulkaad ku dhisi kartaa?
34 Canst thou lift up, to the thick cloud, thy voice, and the overflow of waters cover thee?
Codkaaga miyaad daruuraha kor ugu qaadi kartaa, Si biyo badanu ay kuu daboolaan daraaddeed?
35 Canst thou send forth the lightnings, so that they go, and say to thee, Behold us?
Miyaad hillaaca diri kartaa, si ay u tagaan, Oo ay kuugu yidhaahdaan, Waa na kan?
36 Who hath put—into cloud-forms—wisdom? Or who hath given—to the meteor—understanding?
Bal yaa qalbiga xigmadda geliyey? Yaase maanka waxgarashada siiyey?
37 Who can count the thin clouds, in wisdom? And, the bottles of the heavens, who can empty out;
Bal yaa daruuraha xigmad ku tirin kara? Yaase qarbeddada samada biyo ka shubi kara,
38 When the dust is cast into a clod, and the lumps are bound together?
Markii boodhku taallooyin noqdo, Oo ciidduna ay isku dhegto?
39 Wilt thou hunt—for the Lioness—prey? Or, the craving of the Strong Lion, wilt thou satisfy;
Miyaad karaysaa inaad gool libaax u ugaadhid? Miyaadse dhal libaax dherjin kartaa,
40 When they settle down in dens, abide in covert, for lying in wait?
Markay boholahooda ku dhex dhuuntaan, Oo ay hogga u joogaan inay wax gaadaan?
41 Who prepareth for the Raven his nourishment, —when his young ones—unto GOD—cry out, [when] they wander for lack of food?
Bal yaa tukaha cunto ku quudiya, Markii dhashiisu Ilaah u qayshadaan, Oo ay cuntola'aan daraaddeed u warwareegaan?
