Job 34
1 Furthermore Elihu responded, and said: —
എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും ഇപ്രകാരം സംസാരിച്ചു:
2 Hear, ye wise men, my words, and, ye who know, give ear unto me;
“ജ്ഞാനികളായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുക; വിദ്യാസമ്പന്നരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരിക.
3 For, the ear, trieth words, as, the palate, tasteth in eating.
നാവ് ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ രുചിഭേദങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ചെവി വാക്കുകളെ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നു.
4 What is right, let us choose for ourselves, Let us know, among ourselves, what is good;
ശരിയായത് എന്തെന്നു നമുക്കുതന്നെ വിവേചിച്ചറിയാം; നന്മയെന്തെന്നു നമുക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു പഠിക്കാം.
5 For Job hath said—I am righteous, But, GOD, hath turned away my right;
“ഇയ്യോബ് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത്: ‘ഞാൻ നീതിമാൻ, എന്നാൽ ദൈവം എനിക്കു നീതി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നു.
6 Concerning mine own right, shall I tell a falsehood? Incurable is my disease—not for any transgression.
ന്യായം എന്റെ ഭാഗത്തായിരുന്നിട്ടും എന്നെ ഒരു നുണയനായി കണക്കാക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഒരു കുറ്റവാളി അല്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവിടത്തെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ ഭേദമാകാത്ത മുറിവുകൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.’
7 What man is like Job? He drinketh in scoffing like water;
ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ആരെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടാകുമോ? അദ്ദേഹം പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ പാനംചെയ്യുന്നു.
8 And is on the way to keep company, with the workers of iniquity, and to walk with lawless men.
അദ്ദേഹം അനീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോടു ചങ്ങാത്തംകൂടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടരോടൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹം നടക്കുന്നു.
9 For he hath said, It profiteth not a man, when, his good pleasure, is with God.
കാരണം ‘ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യർക്ക് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ല’ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞില്ലേ?
10 Wherefore, ye men of mind, hearken unto me, —Far be it, that, GOD, should be lawless, or, the Almighty, be perverse!
“അതിനാൽ വിവേകികളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. ദൈവം ഒരുനാളും ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നില്ല; സർവശക്തൻ ഒരിക്കലും ദോഷം ചെയ്യുകയുമില്ല.
11 For, what any son of earth doeth, he repayeth him, and, according to every man’s course, he causeth him to find.
അവിടന്നു മനുഷ്യർക്ക് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കനുസരിച്ചു പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ പെരുമാറ്റത്തിന് അർഹമായത് അവർ നേടുന്നു.
12 Nay, verily, GOD, will not condemn unjustly, —nor, the Almighty, pervert justice.
തീർച്ചയായും ദൈവം തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയില്ല, സർവശക്തൻ നീതി മറിച്ചുകളയുകയുമില്ല.
13 Who set him in charge of the earth? Or who appointed [him] the whole world?
ഭൂമിയുടെ അധിപനായി അവിടത്തെ നിയമിച്ചത് ആരാണ്? സർവ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്റെയും നിയന്ത്രണം ആരാണ് അവിടത്തേക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തത്?
14 If he should set against him his heart, His spirit and his inspiration, unto himself he should withdraw.
അവിടത്തെ ഹിതപ്രകാരം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും അവിടന്നു പിൻവലിച്ചാൽ,
15 All flesh together, would cease to breathe, and, the earth-born, unto dust, would return.
മനുഷ്യകുലമെല്ലാം ഒന്നടങ്കം നശിച്ചുപോകും, മനുഷ്യൻ പൊടിയിലേക്കുതന്നെ തിരികെച്ചേരും.
16 If then [thou hast] understanding, hear this, Give thou ear to the teaching of my words: —
“നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇതു കേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.
17 Shall, the very hater of right, control? Or, the just—the mighty one, wilt thou condemn?
ന്യായത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഭരണം നടത്താൻ കഴിയുമോ? നീതിനിഷ്ഠനും സർവശക്തനുമായ ദൈവത്തെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കുറ്റം വിധിക്കാമോ?
18 Doth one say to a king, Abandoned one! Or, Lawless one! unto nobles?
രാജാവിനോട്, ‘നീ അയോഗ്യനെന്നും’ പ്രഭുക്കളോട് ‘നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരെന്നും,’ പറയുന്നത് അവിടന്നല്ലേ?
19 For he hath shewn no respect of persons unto princes, neither hath he recognised the rich rather than the poor? For, the work of his hands, are they all.
അവിടന്നു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടു പക്ഷപാതം കാട്ടുകയില്ല; ദരിദ്രരെക്കാൾ ധനവാന്മാരെ അധികം ആദരിക്കുകയില്ല. അവരെല്ലാം അവിടത്തെ കരവിരുതല്ലോ?
20 In a moment, they die, even in the middle of the night, —A people are convulsed when they pass away, A mighty one is removed, without hand;
ഒരു നിമിഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ അവർ മരിക്കുന്നു; അർധരാത്രിയിൽത്തന്നെ ഒരു നടുക്കത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞെട്ടിവിറച്ച് കടന്നുപോകുന്നു. ആരുടെയും കൈ ചലിപ്പിക്കാതെതന്നെ പ്രബലർ നീക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
21 For, his eyes, are on the ways of a man, and, all his footsteps, he beholdeth, —
“അവിടത്തെ കണ്ണ് മനുഷ്യരുടെ വഴികൾ നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓരോ കാൽവെയ്പും അവിടന്നു കാണുന്നു.
22 No darkness, and no death-shade, where the workers of iniquity may hide.
അധർമികൾക്ക് ഒളിച്ചുപാർക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ഇരുളോ അന്ധതമസ്സോ ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല.
23 For, unto no man, doth he appoint a repetition, —in going unto GOD in judgment;
ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന് ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ആരൊക്കെ വരണം എന്നു തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നതിന്, ആരെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രത്യേകമായി അന്വേഷണം നടത്തേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ദൈവത്തിനില്ല.
24 He shattereth mighty ones unsearchably, and setteth up others in their stead:
യാതൊരു അന്വേഷണവും കൂടാതെതന്നെ അവിടന്നു ശക്തരെ ചിതറിക്കുന്നു, അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനത്തു മറ്റുചിലരെ നിയമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
25 Therefore, he observeth their works, —and overturneth [them] in a night, and they are crushed;
അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ അവിടന്ന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു, രാത്രിയിൽത്തന്നെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ തകിടംമറിക്കുന്നു, അവർ തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു.
26 In the place of lawless men, hath he chastised them, in presence of beholders.
അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം എല്ലാവരും കാണുന്ന ഇടത്തുവെച്ചുതന്നെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
27 Forasmuch, as they turned from following him, and, none of his ways, did they teach;
കാരണം അവർ അവിടത്തെ പിൻതുടരുന്നതിൽനിന്നു വ്യതിചലിക്കുകയാലും അവിടത്തെ വഴികളോട് യാതൊരു ആദരവും കാണിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയാലുംതന്നെ.
28 Causing to reach him the outcry of the poor, Yea, the outcry of the oppressed, he heareth.
ദരിദ്രരുടെ നിലവിളി അവിടത്തെ പക്കലെത്താൻ അവർ ഇടവരുത്തി; അതുകൊണ്ട് നിരാലംബരുടെ കരച്ചിൽ അവിടത്തെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
29 When, he, giveth quiet, who then shall condemn? And, when he hideth [his] face, who then shall sing of him? whether unto a nation or unto mankind altogether,
എന്നാൽ അവിടന്നു മൗനമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആർ അവിടത്തെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കും? അവിടന്നു മുഖം മറച്ചുകളയുമ്പോൾ ആർക്ക് അവിടത്തെ കാണാൻ കഴിയും? വ്യക്തികളുടെമേലും രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെമേലും അവിടന്ന് ഒരുപോലെതന്നെ.
30 That impious men may not reign, nor be ensnarers of the people.
അഭക്തരായ മനുഷ്യർ ഭരണം പിടിച്ചടക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതിനും അവർ ആളുകൾക്കു കെണിവെക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനുംതന്നെ.
31 For, unto GOD, hath one [ever] said—I have borne punishment, I will not be perverse;
“ഒരു വ്യക്തി ഇപ്രകാരം ദൈവത്തോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കരുതുക, ‘ഞാൻ കുറ്റവാളിയാണ്; എന്നാൽ ഇനിയൊരു അപരാധവും ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.
32 What I see not, do, thou, shew me, If, perverseness, I have wrought, I will do it no more?
എനിക്ക് അദൃശ്യമായത് എന്നെ അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കണമേ; ഞാൻ അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.’
33 According to thy mind, must he requite it, that thou hast refused? For, thou, must choose, and not, I, What then thou knowest, speak!
പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കാൻ താങ്കൾ വിസമ്മതിക്കുമ്പോൾ ദൈവം താങ്കളുടെ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾക്കനുസരിച്ചു പ്രത്യുപകാരം ചെയ്യണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, താങ്കൾതന്നെയാണ് അതു തീരുമാനിക്കേണ്ടത്. അതിനാൽ താങ്കൾക്ക് അറിയാവുന്നതു ഞങ്ങളോടു പറയുക.
34 The men of mind, will say to me, yea any wise man hearkening unto me: —
“ജ്ഞാനികൾ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുന്ന വിവേകികൾ എന്നോടു പറയും,
35 Job, without knowledge, doth speak, and, his words, are not with discretion.
‘ഇയ്യോബ് പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചയില്ല.’
36 Would that Job might be tested to the uttermost, for replying with the men of iniquity:
ഇയ്യോബ് ഒരു ദുഷ്ടനെപ്പോലെ ഉത്തരം പറയുകയാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പരമാവധി പരിശോധിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ.
37 For he addeth—unto his sin—rebellion, In our midst, he clappeth his hands, and multiplieth his sayings against GOD.
അയാൾ പാപത്തിനുപുറമേ മത്സരവും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുന്നു; അയാൾ നമ്മുടെ മധ്യേ പരിഹാസരൂപേണ കൈകൊട്ടുകയും ദൈവത്തിനെതിരേ വാക്കുകൾ പെരുപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.”
