Job 29
1 And Job again took up his measure, and said,
௧பின்னும் யோபு தன் பிரசங்க வாக்கியத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து சொன்னது:
2 Oh that it were with me as in the months of old, as in the days, when, GOD, used to watch over me;
௨“கடந்துபோன வருடங்களிலும், தேவன் என்னைக் காப்பாற்றிவந்த நாட்களிலும் எனக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த ஒழுங்கு இப்பொழுது இருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.
3 When his lamp shone over my head, by whose light, I could go through darkness;
௩அப்பொழுது அவர் தீபம் என் தலையின்மேல் பிரகாசித்தது; அவர் அருளின வெளிச்சத்தினால் இருளைக் கடந்துபோனேன்.
4 As I was, in the days of my prime, when, the intimacy of GOD, was over my tent;
௪தேவனுடைய இரகசியச்செயல் என் வீட்டின்மேல் இருந்தது.
5 While yet the Almighty was with me, round about me, were my young men;
௫அப்பொழுது சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் என்னுடன் இருந்தார்; என் பிள்ளைகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.
6 When my steps were bathed in milk, and, the rock, poured out beside me, rivulets of oil:
௬என் பாதங்களை நான் நெய்யினால் கழுவினேன்; கன்மலைகளிலிருந்து எனக்காக எண்ணெய் நதிபோல ஓடிவந்தது; அந்தச் செல்வநாட்களின் ஒழுங்கு இப்போதிருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.
7 When I went out to the gate unto the city, in the open place, made ready my seat,
௭நான் பட்டணவீதியின் வாசலுக்குள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், வீதியில் என் இருக்கையைப் போடும்போது,
8 Young men saw me, and hid themselves, and, the aged, arose—they stood;
௮வாலிபர் என்னைக் கண்டு ஒளித்துக்கொள்வார்கள்; முதியோர் எழுந்து நிற்பார்கள்.
9 Rulers, restrained speech, and, a hand, laid they on their mouth;
௯பிரபுக்கள் பேசுகிறதை நிறுத்தி, கையால் தங்கள் வாயைப் பொத்திக்கொள்வார்கள்.
10 The voice of nobles, was hushed, and their tongue to their palate, did cleave;
௧0பெரியோரின் சத்தம் அடங்கி, அவர்கள் நாக்கு அவர்கள் மேல்வாயோடு ஒட்டிக்கொள்ளும்.
11 When, the ear, heard, then it pronounced me happy, When, the eye, saw, then it bare me witness;
௧௧என்னைக் கேட்ட காது என்னைப் பாக்கியவான் என்றது; என்னைக் கண்ட கண் எனக்குச் சாட்சியிட்டது.
12 Because I used to deliver the oppressed who was crying out for aid, the fatherless also, and him that had no helper;
௧௨முறையிடுகிற ஏழையையும், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையையும், உதவியற்றவனையும் காப்பாற்றினேன்.
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish, upon me was wont to descend, and, the heart of the widow, caused I to sing for joy;
௧௩அழிந்துபோக இருந்தவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதம் என்மேல் வந்தது; விதவையின் இருதயத்தைக் கெம்பீரிக்கச் செய்தேன்.
14 Righteousness, I put on, and it clothed me, Like a robe and turban, was my, justice;
௧௪நீதியை அணிந்துகொண்டேன்; அது என் ஆடையாயிருந்தது; என் நியாயம் எனக்குச் சால்வையும் தலைப்பாகையுமாக இருந்தது.
15 Eyes, became I to the, blind, and, feet to the lame, was, I!
௧௫நான் குருடனுக்குக் கண்ணும், சப்பாணிக்குக் காலாகவும் இருந்தேன்.
16 A father, was, I, to the needy, and, as for the cause which I knew not, I used to search it out;
௧௬நான் எளியவர்களுக்குத் தகப்பனாக இருந்து, நான் அறியாத வழக்கை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்தேன்.
17 And I shivered the fangs of the perverse, —and, out of his teeth, I tare the prey.
௧௭நான் அநியாயக்காரருடைய கடைவாய்ப் பற்களை உடைத்து, அவர்கள் பறித்ததை அவர்கள் பற்களிலிருந்து பிடுங்கினேன்.
18 Then said I, Like a stem, shall I grow old, yea, as the sand, shall I multiply days:
௧௮என் கூட்டிலே நான் வாழ்ந்திருப்பேன்; என் நாட்களை மணலைப்போலப் பெருகச் செய்வேன் என்றேன்.
19 My root, is laid open to the waters, and, the dew, shall lodge for the night in my boughs;
௧௯என் வேர் தண்ணீர்களின் ஓரமாகப் படர்ந்தது; என் கிளையின்மேல் பனி இரவுமுழுவதும் தங்கியிருந்தது.
20 Mine honour, shall be young again with me, and, my bow, in my hand, be renewed.
௨0என் மகிமை என்னில் செழித்தோங்கி, என் கையிலுள்ள என் வில் புதுப்பெலன் கொண்டது.
21 To me, men hearkened, and waited, and kept silence for my counsel;
௨௧எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்துக் காத்திருந்தார்கள்; என் ஆலோசனையைக் கேட்டு மவுனமாயிருந்தார்கள்.
22 After I had spoken, they spake not again, and, upon them, used my speech to drop;
௨௨என் பேச்சுக்குப் பேசாமலிருந்தார்கள்; என் வசனம் அவர்கள்மேல் மழைத்துளியாக விழுந்தது.
23 And they waited, as for rain, for me, and, their mouths, they opened wide for the spring-rain;
௨௩மழைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறதுபோல் எனக்குக் காத்திருந்து, பின் மாரிக்கு ஆசையுள்ளவர்கள்போல தங்கள் வாயை ஆவென்று திறந்திருந்தார்கள்.
24 I laughed at them—they lost confidence, and, the light of my countenance, they suffered not to fail;
௨௪நான் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து சிரிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் துணிகரங்கொள்ளவில்லை; என் முகக்களையை மாறவைக்கவும் இல்லை.
25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, —and abode, as king, in an army, as one who, to mourners, giveth comfort.
௨௫அவர்கள் வழியில்போக எனக்கு விருப்பமாகும்போது, நான் தலைவனாய் அமர்ந்து, படைக்குள் ராஜாவைப்போலவும், துக்கித்தவர்களைத் தேற்றுகிறவனாகவும் இருந்தேன்.
