< Job 26 >
1 Then responded Job, and said: —
Awo Yobu n’addamu nti,
2 How hast thou given help to one of no-strength? given victory to an arm of no-power?
“Ng’oyambye oyo atalina maanyi! Ng’oyambye omukono ogwo ogutalina maanyi!
3 How hast thou given counsel to one of no-wisdom? or, effective wisdom, abundantly made known?
Ng’amagezi ga kitalo ago g’owadde oyo atalina magezi! Ng’owadde okuluŋŋamizibwa okuyitirivu!
4 Whom hast thou taught speech? Whose inspiration hath come from thee?
Ani akuyambye okwogera ebigambo ebyo? Era mwoyo ki ogwogeredde mu kamwa ko?
5 The shades, tremble, beneath the waters and their inhabitants;
“Abafu kye balimu tekigumiikirizika, n’abo abali wansi w’amazzi ne bonna abagabeeramu.
6 Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction; (Sheol )
Amagombe gali bwereere mu maaso ga Katonda; n’okuzikiriza tekulina kikubisse. (Sheol )
7 Who stretcheth out the north over emptiness, hangeth the earth upon nothingness;
Ayanjuluza eggulu ery’obukiikakkono mu bbanga ejjereere, awanika ensi awatali kigiwanirira.
8 Who bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent beneath them;
Asiba amazzi mu bire bye; ate ebire tebyabika olw’okuzitoowererwa.
9 Who shutteth-in the face of the throne, he spreadeth over it his cloud;
Abikka obwenyi bw’omwezi, agwanjululizaako ebire bye.
10 A, boundary, hath he encircled on the face of the waters, as far as where light ends in darkness;
Ateekawo ekipimo ekiraga waggulu amazzi g’ennyanja we gayita, ng’ensalo eyawula ekitangaala n’ekizikiza.
11 The pillars of the heavens, are shaken, and are terrified at his rebuke:
Empagi z’eggulu zikankana, zeewuunya olw’okunenya kwe.
12 By his strength, hath he excited the sea, and, by his skill, hath he shattered the Crocodile:
Afuukuula ennyanja n’obuyinza bwe, n’asalaasala Lakabu mu bitundutundu n’amagezi ge.
13 By his spirit, hath he arched the heavens, His hand hath pierced the fleeing serpent.
Yafuuwa omukka ogwatereeza eggulu, omukono gwe gwafumita omusota oguwulukuka.
14 Lo! these, are the fringes of his way, and what a whisper of a word hath been heard of him! But, the thunder of his might, who could understand?
Naye nga bino katundu butundu ku bye yakola. Nga kye tumuwulirako katundu butundu ku ekyo ky’ali! Ani ayinza okutegeera okubwatuka kw’obuyinza bwe?”
