Job 24
1 Wherefore, since from the Almighty times are not hid, have, his knowing ones, no vision of his days?
१“त्या सर्वशक्तिमानाने न्यायवेळ का नेमून ठेवली नाही? त्यास ओळखणाऱ्यांना त्या न्याय दिवसाची का प्रतिती येत नाही?
2 Boundaries, men move back, flocks, they seize and consume;
२आणि काही जण हद्द दर्शविणाऱ्या खुणा सरकवतात. लोक पशूंचे कळप चोरुन स्वच: च्या रानात चरायला नेतात.
3 The ass of the fatherless, they drive off, they take in pledge the ox of the widow;
३ते अनाथ मुलांची गाढवे चोरतात. ते विधवेचा बैल गहाण म्हणून ठेवतात.
4 They turn aside the needy out of the way, at once, are the humbled of the land made to hide themselves.
४ते गरजंवताना त्यांच्या मार्गापासून बहकवतात. सगळ्या पृथ्वीवरील गरीबांना या दुष्टांपासून लपून रहावे लागते.
5 Lo! [as] wild asses in the wilderness, they go forth with their work, eager seekers for prey, the waste plain, yieldeth them food for their young;
५गरीब लोक वाळवंटात हिंडून अन्न शोधणाऱ्या मोकाट गाढवाप्रमाणे आहेत ते काळजीपूर्वक अन्नाचा शोध घेतात. त्यांच्या मुलाबाळांना जंगल अन्न पुरवते.
6 In the field—a man’s fodder, they cut down, and, the vineyard of the lawless, they strip of its late berries;
६गरीब लोक रात्रीपर्यंत इतरांच्या शेतात कापणी करतात, आणि ते दुष्टांच्या पिकातील द्राक्षे वेचतात.
7 Ill-clad, they are left to lodge without clothing, and have no covering in the cold;
७त्यांना रात्री कपड्यांशिवाय झोपावे लागते. थंडीपासून रक्षण करण्यासाठी त्यांच्याजवळ पांघरुण नसते.
8 With the sweeping rain of the mountains, are they wet, and, through having no shelter, they embrace a rock.
८ते डोंगरावरील पावसाने भिजतात, आश्रय नसल्याकारणाने ते खडकांना कवटाळून बसतात.
9 Men tear, from the breast, the fatherless, and, over the poor, they take a pledge;
९दुष्ट लोक स्तनपान करणारे बाळ आई जवळून घेतात. ते गरीबाच्या त्याने काढलेल्या कर्जाबद्दल तारण म्हणून त्यांची मुले ठेवून घेतात.
10 Naked, they go about without clothing, and, famished, they carry the sheaves;
१०ते कपडे नसल्यामुळे उघडेच असतात, ते दुसऱ्यांच्या धान्यांच्या पेंढ्या वाहतात पण स्वत: मात्र उपाशीच राहतात.
11 Between their walls, are they exposed to the sun, Wine-presses, they tread, and yet are thirsty;
११ते आवाराच्या आत तेल काढतात, ते दुष्टांच्या द्राक्षकुंडात द्राक्ष तुडवतात तरी ते तान्हाले राहतात.
12 Out of the city—out of the houses, they make outcry. and, the soul of the wounded, calleth for help, and, GOD, doth not regard it as foolish.
१२शहरात मरणास टेकलेल्या मनुष्यांचे दु: खद रडणे ऐकू येते, घायाळाचा आत्मा आरोळी मारतो, परंतु देव त्यांच्या प्रारर्थनेकडे लक्ष देत नाही.
13 They, have become rebels against the light, —they are not acquainted with the ways thereof, neither abide they in the paths thereof.
१३काही लोक प्रकाशा विरूद्ध बंड करतात. देवाला काय हवे आहे हे जाणून घ्यायची त्यांची इच्छा नसते. देवाच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे जगणे त्यांना आवडत नाही.
14 With the light, riseth the murderer, He slayeth the poor and needy, And, in the night, he becometh like a thief.
१४खुनी सकाळी लवकर उठतो आणि गरीब व असहाय्य लोकांस ठार मारतो तो रात्रीच्या वेळी चोरासारखा असतो.
15 And, the eye of the adulterer, watcheth for the evening twilight, saying, Not an eye will see me! A covering for the face, he putteth on;
१५ज्या मनुष्यास व्यभिचार करायचा आहे तो रात्रीची वाट बघतो. तो म्हणतो, ‘मला कोणीही बघणार नाही’ पण तरीही तो त्याचा चेहरा झाकतो.
16 He breaketh, in the dark, into houses, —By day, they lock themselves in, They know not the light;
१६रात्रीच्या वेळी अंधार असतो तेव्हा दुष्ट लोक दुसऱ्यांची घरे फोडतात. पण दिवसा ते स्वत: ला त्यांच्या घरांत कोंडून घेतात. ते प्रकाशाला टाळतात.
17 For, in the case of all such, morning to them is the death-shade, For, to be recognised, is a death-shade terror.
१७त्या दुष्टांना काळीकुटृ रात्र सकाळसारखी वाटते. त्या भयंकर काळोखाची भयानकता त्यांना चांगलीच माहीत असते.
18 Swift is he on the face of the waters, Speedily vanished their share in the land, He turneth not to the way of the vineyards.
१८पुरात जशा वस्तू वाहून जातात तशी दुष्ट माणसे वाहून नेली जातात, त्यांच्या जमिनीला शाप दिला जातो, त्यांच्या शेतात काम करण्यास कोणीही जात नाहीत.
१९हिवाळ्यातल्या बर्फापासून मिळालेले त्यांचे पाणी उष्ण आणि कोरडी हवा शोषून घेते. त्याप्रमाणे त्या पापी लोकांस थडग्यात नेले जाते. (Sheol h7585)
20 Maternal love shall forget him, the worm shall find him sweet, No more shall he be remembered, but perversity shall be shivered like a tree.
२०ज्या उदराने त्यास जन्म दिला ती विसरून जाईल, त्याची आठवण राहणार नाही, त्याप्रमाणे दुष्टपणा झाडासारखा मोडून पडेल.
21 He oppresseth the barren who beareth not, and, to the widow, he doeth not good;
२१दुष्ट माणसे वांझ बायकांना त्रास देतात ज्यांना मुले झालेली नाहीत, ते विधवांसाठी काही चांगले करीत नाहीत.
22 Yea he draggeth along the mighty by his strength, He riseth up, and none hath assurance of life;
२२तरी देव आपल्या सामर्थ्याने बलवानास राखतो, ज्याला जगण्याचा भरवसा नाही तो उठतो,
23 It is given him to be secure, and confident, yet, his eyes, are upon their ways.
२३देव दुष्टांना आपण सुरक्षित आहेत असा विचार करण्यास भाग पाडतो आणि त्याविषयी ते आनंदी होतात.
24 They are exalted a little, and are not, Yea having been laid low, like all men, are they gathered, Even as the top of an ear of corn, do they hang down.
२४ते उंचावले जातात परंतू थोड्या काळापुरते नंतर ते जातात. खरोखर, ते खचून जातात, ते इतर सर्वांप्रमाणे काढून टाकले जातात. आणि ते कणसाच्या शेड्यांप्रमाणे कापून टाकले जातात.
25 But, if not, who then can convict me of falsehood? or make of no account my words?
२५या गोष्टी खऱ्या नाहीत असे कोण म्हणतो, मी खोटे बोललो हे कोण सिध्द करेल? माझे बोलने निरर्थक आहे हे कोण दाखवून देईल?”
