< Job 24 >

1 Wherefore, since from the Almighty times are not hid, have, his knowing ones, no vision of his days?
“Lwaki Ayinzabyonna tagera biseera? Lwaki abo abamumanyi tebalaba nnaku zaageze?
2 Boundaries, men move back, flocks, they seize and consume;
Abantu bajjulula amayinja agalamba ensalo, ne balunda ebisolo bye babbye.
3 The ass of the fatherless, they drive off, they take in pledge the ox of the widow;
Batwala endogoyi ya mulekwa ne batwala ennume ya nnamwandu ng’omusingo.
4 They turn aside the needy out of the way, at once, are the humbled of the land made to hide themselves.
Basindiikiriza omunaku ne bamuggya mu kkubo, ne bawaliriza abaavu bonna mu ggwanga okwekweka.
5 Lo! [as] wild asses in the wilderness, they go forth with their work, eager seekers for prey, the waste plain, yieldeth them food for their young;
Endogoyi ez’omu ddungu nga bwe zeeyisa, n’abaavu bagenda bategana nnyo nga balondalonda obumere; mu ddungu mwe balonderera emmere y’abaana baabwe.
6 In the field—a man’s fodder, they cut down, and, the vineyard of the lawless, they strip of its late berries;
Essubi eririibwa ensolo zaabwe baliggya ku ttale lye, ne banoga n’emizabbibu gy’aboonoonyi.
7 Ill-clad, they are left to lodge without clothing, and have no covering in the cold;
Olw’okubulwa engoye, basula bwereere; tebalina kye beebikka mu mpewo.
8 With the sweeping rain of the mountains, are they wet, and, through having no shelter, they embrace a rock.
Enkuba y’oku nsozi ebatobya, ne banywegera enjazi olw’okubulwa we beggama.
9 Men tear, from the breast, the fatherless, and, over the poor, they take a pledge;
Omwana atalina kitaawe bamusika ku mabeere; omwana omuwere ow’omwavu bamuwamba olw’ebbanja.
10 Naked, they go about without clothing, and, famished, they carry the sheaves;
Olw’okubulwa engoye bayita bwereere; betikka ebinywa by’emmere naye basigala tebalidde.
11 Between their walls, are they exposed to the sun, Wine-presses, they tread, and yet are thirsty;
Basogolera emizabbibu ku mayinja, ne basambira mu ssogolero, naye ne basigala nga balumwa ennyonta.
12 Out of the city—out of the houses, they make outcry. and, the soul of the wounded, calleth for help, and, GOD, doth not regard it as foolish.
Okusinda kw’abantu kuwulirwa mu kibuga, n’emmeeme z’abafunye ebisago zikaabira obuyambi. Naye Katonda talina gw’asinzisa musango.
13 They, have become rebels against the light, —they are not acquainted with the ways thereof, neither abide they in the paths thereof.
“Waliwo abo abajeemera omusana, abatamanyi makubo ge, abatasigala mu kwaka kwagwo.
14 With the light, riseth the murderer, He slayeth the poor and needy, And, in the night, he becometh like a thief.
Omutemu agolokoka nga obudde buzibye n’atta omwavu n’ali mu kwetaaga; ekiro abbira ddala.
15 And, the eye of the adulterer, watcheth for the evening twilight, saying, Not an eye will see me! A covering for the face, he putteth on;
Eriiso ly’omwenzi lirinda buzibe, ng’agamba nti, ‘Tewali liiso linandaba,’ n’abikka ne ku maaso ge.
16 He breaketh, in the dark, into houses, —By day, they lock themselves in, They know not the light;
Mu kizikiza mwe basimira amayumba, kyokka emisana baba beggalidde. Tebaagala kitangaala.
17 For, in the case of all such, morning to them is the death-shade, For, to be recognised, is a death-shade terror.
Eri abo bonna ekizikiza ekikutte bwe budde bwabwe obw’oku makya. Kubanga bakola omukwano n’ebitiisa eby’omu nzikiza.
18 Swift is he on the face of the waters, Speedily vanished their share in the land, He turneth not to the way of the vineyards.
Bali ng’ebyovu ebiri kungulu ku mazzi, era omugabo gwabwe mukolimire mu nsi. Tewali musogozi n’omu alaga mu nnimiro zaabwe ez’emizabbibu.
19 Drought and heat, steal away snow water, Hades, them who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Nga ekyeeya n’ebbugumu bwe bimalawo amazzi agava mu muzira, aboonoonyi bwe batyo bwe bamalibwawo emagombe. (Sheol h7585)
20 Maternal love shall forget him, the worm shall find him sweet, No more shall he be remembered, but perversity shall be shivered like a tree.
Olubuto lunaamwerabiranga; envunyu eneemulyanga n’ewoomerwa. Tajjukirwenga nate, omukozi w’ebibi amenyeka ng’omuti.
21 He oppresseth the barren who beareth not, and, to the widow, he doeth not good;
Bayiikiriza ne banyaga omugumba atazaala. Tebakolera nnamwandu bya kisa.
22 Yea he draggeth along the mighty by his strength, He riseth up, and none hath assurance of life;
Naye Katonda awalula ab’amaanyi olw’obuyinza bwe. Newaakubadde nga bakulaakulana, kyokka tebalina bukakafu ku bulamu bwabwe.
23 It is given him to be secure, and confident, yet, his eyes, are upon their ways.
Ayinza okubaleka ne babeera mu mirembe n’amaaso ge gabeera ku makubo gaabwe.
24 They are exalted a little, and are not, Yea having been laid low, like all men, are they gathered, Even as the top of an ear of corn, do they hang down.
Bayimusibwa akaseera katono, oluvannyuma nga tebakyaliwo. Bakkakkanyizibwa ne bakala ne baggyibwawo nga abalala bonna. Basalibwa ng’emitwe gy’ebirimba by’eŋŋaano.
25 But, if not, who then can convict me of falsehood? or make of no account my words?
“Bwe kiba nga si bwe kiri, ani anannumiriza obulimba, n’afuula okwogera kwange okutaliimu?”
