< Job 24 >

1 Wherefore, since from the Almighty times are not hid, have, his knowing ones, no vision of his days?
“Nu ka ŋuti Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la meɖo ɣeyiɣiwo ɖi hena ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ o? Nu ka ta ame siwo nyae la nanɔ mɔ kpɔm na ŋkeke siawo dzodzro?
2 Boundaries, men move back, flocks, they seize and consume;
Amewo ɖea liƒokpewo ɖa, wokplɔa lãha siwo wofi la yia gbeɖuƒee.
3 The ass of the fatherless, they drive off, they take in pledge the ox of the widow;
Wokplɔa tsyɔ̃eviwo ƒe tedziwo dzonae eye woxɔa ahosi ƒe nyi abe awɔbanu ene.
4 They turn aside the needy out of the way, at once, are the humbled of the land made to hide themselves.
Wotutua asi hiãtɔwo ɖa le mɔƒome eye wozia ame dahe siwo katã le anyigba dzi la dzi be woasi abe.
5 Lo! [as] wild asses in the wilderness, they go forth with their work, eager seekers for prey, the waste plain, yieldeth them food for their young;
Ame dahewo ɖoa gbe nɔa nuɖuɖu dim abe gbetedziwo le gbegbe ene eye kuɖiɖinyigbawo dia nuɖuɖu na wo viwo.
6 In the field—a man’s fodder, they cut down, and, the vineyard of the lawless, they strip of its late berries;
Woŋe gbe le agblewo dzi na lãwo eye wofɔa nuku siwo ge la le ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe waingblewo me.
7 Ill-clad, they are left to lodge without clothing, and have no covering in the cold;
Esi avɔ mele wo si o ta la womlɔ anyi ƒuƒlu le zã me eye naneke meli woatsyɔ le vuvɔ me o.
8 With the sweeping rain of the mountains, are they wet, and, through having no shelter, they embrace a rock.
Tsi ƒoa wo tea wo ŋu nyuie le towo dzi, wokuna ɖe agakpewo ŋu elabena bebeƒe meli o.
9 Men tear, from the breast, the fatherless, and, over the poor, they take a pledge;
Woɖea tsyɔ̃evi le no nu eye woxɔa ame dahe ƒe vi ɖe fe si wònyi la nu.
10 Naked, they go about without clothing, and, famished, they carry the sheaves;
Esi wònye avɔ mele wo si o ta la, wole yiyim amama, wolé lu bablawo ɖe ta, evɔ dɔ le wo wum.
11 Between their walls, are they exposed to the sun, Wine-presses, they tread, and yet are thirsty;
Wole amiti ƒe ku tum le te dzi, wofiaa wain le wainfiaƒewo gake tsikɔ le wo wum.
12 Out of the city—out of the houses, they make outcry. and, the soul of the wounded, calleth for help, and, GOD, doth not regard it as foolish.
Ame siwo le kudɔ ƒom ƒe ŋeŋe de dzi le dua me kɔtɔɔ eye ame siwo xɔ abi la ƒe luʋɔwo le ɣli dom be woaxɔ na yewo, gake Mawu mebu fɔ ame aɖeke be edze agɔ o.
13 They, have become rebels against the light, —they are not acquainted with the ways thereof, neither abide they in the paths thereof.
“Ame aɖewo li siwo tsi tsitre ɖe kekeli la ŋu, ame siwo menya eƒe mɔwo alo zɔ eƒe toƒewo o.
14 With the light, riseth the murderer, He slayeth the poor and needy, And, in the night, he becometh like a thief.
Ne viviti do la, hlɔ̃dola la tsona hewua ame dahewo kple hiãtɔwo, le zã me la, enɔa zɔzɔm abe fiafitɔ ene
15 And, the eye of the adulterer, watcheth for the evening twilight, saying, Not an eye will see me! A covering for the face, he putteth on;
Ahasitɔ ƒe ŋku nɔa viviti lalam, egblɔna le eƒe susu me be, ‘Ŋku aɖeke makpɔm o,’ eye wòɣlaa eƒe mo.
16 He breaketh, in the dark, into houses, —By day, they lock themselves in, They know not the light;
Le viviti me la, amewo gbãa ʋɔ, gena ɖe aƒewo me gake ne ŋu ke la, wonɔa xɔ me tua ʋɔ ɖe wo ɖokuiwo nu elabena womedi kekeli ƒe nya aɖeke o.
17 For, in the case of all such, morning to them is the death-shade, For, to be recognised, is a death-shade terror.
Ke wo katã la, viviti tsiɖitsiɖie le na wo abe ŋdikekeli ene eye wodzea xɔ̃ viviti ƒe ŋɔdzinuwo.
18 Swift is he on the face of the waters, Speedily vanished their share in the land, He turneth not to the way of the vineyards.
“Evɔ la, futukpɔ ko wonye le tsi ŋgɔ, woƒoa fi dea anyigba ƒe akpa si nye woƒe gome ale be ame aɖeke mayi ɖe waingblewo me le afi ma o.
19 Drought and heat, steal away snow water, Hades, them who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Abe ale si dzoxɔxɔ kple kuɖiɖi kplɔa tsikpe si lolõ la dzonae ene la, nenemae yɔdo kplɔa ame siwo wɔa nu vɔ̃ la hã dzonae. (Sheol h7585)
20 Maternal love shall forget him, the worm shall find him sweet, No more shall he be remembered, but perversity shall be shivered like a tree.
Vidzidɔ ŋlɔa wo be, wozua nuɖuɖu na ŋɔviwo, womegaɖoa ŋku ame vɔ̃ɖiwo dzi o, ke boŋ woŋena abe atilɔ ene.
21 He oppresseth the barren who beareth not, and, to the widow, he doeth not good;
Wohaa konɔwo kple vimanɔsitɔwo eye womekpɔa nublanui na ahosiwo o.
22 Yea he draggeth along the mighty by his strength, He riseth up, and none hath assurance of life;
Gake Mawu kplɔa kalẽtɔwo dzonae kple eƒe ŋusẽ. Togbɔ be woli ke hã la, kakaɖedzi mele wo si be woanɔ agbe o.
23 It is given him to be secure, and confident, yet, his eyes, are upon their ways.
Ɖewohĩ ana woaɖe dzi ɖi abu be yewole dedie gake eƒe ŋkuwo le woƒe mɔwo ŋu.
24 They are exalted a little, and are not, Yea having been laid low, like all men, are they gathered, Even as the top of an ear of corn, do they hang down.
Wodoa wo ɖe dzi ɣeyiɣi kpui aɖe, tete wo nu va yina, woɖiɖia wo ɖe anyi eye wokuna abe bubuawo katã ko ene ale woŋea wo abe ale si woŋea bli le bliti ŋu ene.
25 But, if not, who then can convict me of falsehood? or make of no account my words?
“Ne mele alea o la, ame kae aɖe aʋatso nam eye wòana nye nyawo nazu tofloko?”
