Job 20
1 Then responded Zophar the Naamathite, and said: —
௧அப்பொழுது நாகமாத்தியனான சோப்பார் மறுமொழியாக:
2 Not so, do my thoughts answer me, and to this end, is my haste within me:
௨“இதற்காக பதில் கொடுக்க என் சிந்தனைகள் என்னை ஏவுகிறதினால் நான் விரைவாகச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
3 The correction meant to confound me, I must hear, but, the spirit—out of my understanding, will give me a reply.
௩நிந்தித்தேன் என்று நான் கடிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டதைக் கேட்டேன்; ஆனாலும் உணர்வினால் என் ஆவி மறுமொழி சொல்ல என்னை ஏவுகிறது.
4 Knowest thou, this—from antiquity, from the placing of man upon earth: —
௪துன்மார்க்கனின் கெம்பீரம் குறுகினது என்பதையும், மாயக்காரனின் சந்தோஷம் ஒரு நிமிடம்மாத்திரம் நிற்கும் என்பதையும்,
5 That, the joy-shout of the lawless, is short, and, the rejoicing of the impious, for a moment?
௫அவர் மனிதனைப் பூமியில் வைத்த ஆதிகாலமுதல் இப்படியிருக்கிறது என்பதையும் நீர் அறியீரோ?
6 Though his elevation mount up to the heavens, and, his head, to the clouds, doth reach,
௬அவனுடைய மேன்மை வானபரியந்தம் உயர்ந்தாலும், அவனுடைய தலை மேகங்கள்வரை எட்டினாலும்,
7 Like his own stubble, shall he utterly perish, They who had seen him, shall say, Where is he?
௭அவன் தன் மலத்தைப்போல என்றைக்கும் அழிந்துபோவான்; அவனைக் கண்டவர்கள், அவன் எங்கே? என்பார்கள்.
8 Like a dream, shall he fly away, and they shall not find him, yea he shall be chased away, as a vision of the night.
௮அவன் ஒரு கனவைப்போல் பறந்துபோய்க் காணப்படாதவனாவான்; இரவில் தோன்றும் தரிசனத்தைப்போல் பறக்கடிக்கப்படுவான்.
9 The eye that hath scanned him, shall not do it again, neither, any more, shall his place behold him:
௯அவனைப் பார்த்த கண் இனி அவனைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை; அவன் இருந்த இடம் இனி அவனைக் காண்பதில்லை.
10 His children, shall seek the favour of the poor, and, his own hand, shall give back his wealth.
௧0அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் எளிமையானவர்களின் சகாயத்தைத் தேடுவார்கள்; அவன் பறித்ததை அவன் கைகள் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாகும்.
11 His bones, are full of youthful vigour, yet, with him—in the dust, shall it lie down.
௧௧அவனுடைய எலும்புகள் அவனுடைய இளவயதின் பாவங்களினால் நிறைந்திருந்து, அவனுடன் மண்ணிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
12 Though, a sweet taste in his mouth, be given by vice, though he hide it under his tongue;
௧௨பொல்லாப்பு அவனுடைய வாயிலே இனிமையாயிருப்பதால், அவன் அதைத் தன் நாவின்கீழ் அடக்கி,
13 Though he spare it, and will not let it go, but retain it in the midst of his mouth,
௧௩அதை விடாமல் அடக்கி, தன் வாய்க்குள்ளே வைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தாலும்,
14 His food, in his stomach, is changed, the gall of adders, within him!
௧௪அவனுடைய ஆகாரம் அவன் குடல்களில் மாறி, அவனுக்குள் விரியன்பாம்புகளின் விஷமாகப்போகும்.
15 Wealth, hath he swallowed, and hath vomited the same, Out of his belly, shall, GOD, drive it forth:
௧௫அவன் விழுங்கின செல்வத்தைக் கக்குவான்; தேவன் அதை அவனுடைய வயிற்றிலிருந்து வெளியே தள்ளிவிடுவார்.
16 The poison of adders, shall he suck, The tongue of the viper shall slay him;
௧௬அவன் விரியன்பாம்புகளின் விஷத்தை உறிஞ்சுவான்; விரியனின் நாக்கு அவனைக் கொல்லும்.
17 Let him not see in the channels the flowings of torrents of honey and milk.
௧௭தேனும் நெய்யும் ஓடும் வாய்க்கால்களையும் ஆறுகளையும் அவன் காண்பதில்லை.
18 In vain, he toiled, he shall not swallow, like wealth to be restored, in which he cannot exult!
௧௮தான் பிரயாசப்பட்டுத் தேடினதை அவன் விழுங்காமல் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பான்; அவன் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கிறது அவன் செல்வத்திற்குச் சரியாயிருக்கும்; அவன் மகிழ்ச்சியில்லாதிருப்பான்.
19 For he hath oppressed—hath forsaken the poor, A house, hath he seized, which he cannot rebuild.
௧௯அவன் ஒடுக்கி, ஏழைகளைக் கைவிட்டு, தான் கட்டாத வீட்டை அபகரித்தபடியினாலும்,
20 Surely he hath known no peace in his inmost mind, —With his dearest thing, shall he not get away:
௨0தன் வயிறு திருப்தி அடையாமல் இருந்ததினாலும், அவன் விரும்பின காரியங்களில் அவனுக்கு ஒன்றும் இருப்பதில்லை.
21 Nothing escaped his devouring greed, —For this cause, shall his prosperity not continue:
௨௧அவனுடைய ஆகாரத்தில் ஒன்றும் மீதியாவதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவனுடைய செல்வம் நிலைநிற்பதில்லை.
22 When his abundance is gone, he shall be in straits, All the power of distress, shall come upon him.
௨௨அவன் வேண்டுமென்கிற பரிபூரணம் அவனுக்கு வந்தபின், அவனுக்கு வேதனை உண்டாகும்; சிறுமைப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொருவருடைய கையும் அவன்மேல் வரும்.
23 It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will thrust at him the glow of his anger, and rain [it] upon him for his punishment.
௨௩தன் வயிற்றை நிரப்பத்தக்கது இன்னும் அவனுக்கு இருந்தாலும், அவர் அவன்மேல் தமது கோபத்தின் கடுமையை வரவழைத்து, அவன் சாப்பிடும்போது, அதை அவன்மேல் வரச்செய்வார்.
24 He shall flee from the armour of iron, —There shall pierce him, a bow of bronze!
௨௪இரும்பு ஆயுதத்திற்கு அவன் தப்பியோடினாலும் வெண்கல அம்பு அவனை உருவ எய்யும்.
25 He hath drawn it out, and it hath come forth out of his back, —yea the flashing arrow-head, out of his gall, There shall march on him—terrors:
௨௫உருவின பட்டயம் அவன் சரீரத்தையும், மின்னுகிற அம்பு அவன் ஈரலையும் உருவிப்போகும்; பயங்கரங்கள் அவன்மேல் வரும்.
26 Every misfortune, is laid up for his treasures, —There shall consume, a fire, not blown up, —it shall destroy what remaineth in his tent:
௨௬அவன் ஒளிக்கும் இடங்களில் காரிருள் அடங்கியிருக்கும்; அணையாத நெருப்பு அவனை எரிக்கும்; அவன் கூடாரத்தில் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவன் பாடு அநுபவிப்பான்.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and, the earth, be rising up against him:
௨௭வானங்கள் அவனுடைய குற்றத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, பூமி அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பும்.
28 The increase of his house shall vanish, melting away in the day of his anger.
௨௮வெள்ளத்தினால் அவனுடைய வீட்டின் சம்பத்துப் கரைந்து போய்விடும்; தேவனுடைய கோபம் வெள்ளம் போல் அவைகள் மேல் ஊற்றப்படும் கரைந்து போகும்.
29 This, is the portion of the lawless man, from God, and the inheritance decreed him from the Mighty One.
௨௯இதுவே தேவனால் துன்மார்க்கனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் பங்கும், அவனுடைய செய்கைக்கு தேவனால் அவனுக்கு வரும் பங்காகும்” என்றான்.
