< Job 20 >

1 Then responded Zophar the Naamathite, and said: —
Dia namaly Zofara Namatita ka nanao hoe:
2 Not so, do my thoughts answer me, and to this end, is my haste within me:
Noho izany dia mamaly ahy ny eritreritro, eny, noho ny fihetsiketsiky ny saiko.
3 The correction meant to confound me, I must hear, but, the spirit—out of my understanding, will give me a reply.
Reko lalandava ny anatra mampahamenatra ahy; Ary ny fanahiko mamaly ahy avy amin’ ny fahalalako.
4 Knowest thou, this—from antiquity, from the placing of man upon earth: —
Tsy fantatrao va fa hatramin’ ny ela, eny, hatrizay nampitoerana ny olona tetỳ ambonin’ ny tany,
5 That, the joy-shout of the lawless, is short, and, the rejoicing of the impious, for a moment?
Dia vetivety foana ny firavoravoan’ ny ratsy fanahy, ary indray mipi-maso monja ny fifalian’ ny mpihatsaravelatsihy?
6 Though his elevation mount up to the heavens, and, his head, to the clouds, doth reach,
Fa na dia mipaka amin’ ny lanitra aza ny hahavony, ka mitehika amin’ ny rahona ny lohany,
7 Like his own stubble, shall he utterly perish, They who had seen him, shall say, Where is he?
Dia ho very mandrakizay toy ny dikiny ihany izy; Izay nahita azy dia hanao hoe: Aiza izy?
8 Like a dream, shall he fly away, and they shall not find him, yea he shall be chased away, as a vision of the night.
Manidina tahaka ny nofy izy ka tsy ho hita; Eny, ampandosirina tahaka ny tsindrimandry amin’ ny alina izy.
9 The eye that hath scanned him, shall not do it again, neither, any more, shall his place behold him:
Ny maso izay mijery, dia indray mitopy ihany no ahitany azy; Ary dia tsy hahita azy intsony ny fitoerany.
10 His children, shall seek the favour of the poor, and, his own hand, shall give back his wealth.
Ny zanany hitambitamby amin’ ny malahelo, ary ny tànany ihany no hampody ny hareny.
11 His bones, are full of youthful vigour, yet, with him—in the dust, shall it lie down.
Ny taolany dia feno ny herin’ ny fahatanorana, Nefa hiara-mandry aminy eo amin’ ny vovoka izany.
12 Though, a sweet taste in his mouth, be given by vice, though he hide it under his tongue;
Na dia mamy ao am-bavany aza ny ratsy, ka afeniny ao ambanin’ ny lelany,
13 Though he spare it, and will not let it go, but retain it in the midst of his mouth,
Ary tsitsiny ka tsy foiny, fa tehiriziny ao amin’ ny lanilaniny ihany,
14 His food, in his stomach, is changed, the gall of adders, within him!
Dia miova ny haniny ao an-kibony, ka aferon’ ny vipera no ao anatiny.
15 Wealth, hath he swallowed, and hath vomited the same, Out of his belly, shall, GOD, drive it forth:
Harena no nateliny, nefa aloany indray; Loaran’ Andriamanitra hiala ao an-kibony izany.
16 The poison of adders, shall he suck, The tongue of the viper shall slay him;
Ny poizin’ ny vipera no hotsentsefiny; Hahafaty azy ny lelan’ ny menarana.
17 Let him not see in the channels the flowings of torrents of honey and milk.
Tsy ho faly mahita renirano izy, dia ony sy riaky ny tantely sy ronono.
18 In vain, he toiled, he shall not swallow, like wealth to be restored, in which he cannot exult!
Tsy azony atelina izay nikelezany aina, fa tsy maintsy hampodiny; Na dia be aza ny hareny, dia tsy ho araka izany ny hafaliany.
19 For he hath oppressed—hath forsaken the poor, A house, hath he seized, which he cannot rebuild.
Fa nampahory sy nahafoy ny reraka izy ka naka trano an-keriny, fa tsy hahatontosa azy.
20 Surely he hath known no peace in his inmost mind, —With his dearest thing, shall he not get away:
Satria tsy mahalala mionona ny kibony, dia tsy hahavonjy ny tenany mbamin’ ny tiany indrindra izy.
21 Nothing escaped his devouring greed, —For this cause, shall his prosperity not continue:
Tsy misy tsy tratry ny fieremany; Ka dia tsy haharitra ny fiadanany.
22 When his abundance is gone, he shall be in straits, All the power of distress, shall come upon him.
Ho poriporitra izy, na dia mihoa-pampana aza ny fananany; Ny tanan’ ny ory no hamely azy.
23 It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will thrust at him the glow of his anger, and rain [it] upon him for his punishment.
Halefan’ Andriamanitra ny fahatezerany mirehitra hameno ny kibony; Eny, halatsany aminy toy ny ranonorana izany ho hanina ho azy.
24 He shall flee from the armour of iron, —There shall pierce him, a bow of bronze!
Raha mandositra ny vy fiadiana izy, dia hahavoa azy miboroaka ny tsipìka varahina;
25 He hath drawn it out, and it hath come forth out of his back, —yea the flashing arrow-head, out of his gall, There shall march on him—terrors:
Tsoahany izany, ka mivoaka avy amin’ ny tenany; Eny, ny manelatselatra dia mivoaka avy amin’ ny aferony; Lasa izy azon’ ny fahatahorana mafy.
26 Every misfortune, is laid up for his treasures, —There shall consume, a fire, not blown up, —it shall destroy what remaineth in his tent:
Ny aizim-pito no voarakitra ho amin’ ny raki-malalany; Afo tsy tsofina no handoro azy sady handevona izay sisa ao amin’ ny lainy.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and, the earth, be rising up against him:
Hambaran’ ny lanitra ny helony, Ary ny tany hitsangana hiampanga azy,
28 The increase of his house shall vanish, melting away in the day of his anger.
Ho lasa ny harena tafiditra ao an-tranony; Eny, ho levona izany amin’ ny andro fahatezerany.
29 This, is the portion of the lawless man, from God, and the inheritance decreed him from the Mighty One.
Izany no anjaran’ ny ratsy fanahy avy amin’ Andriamanitra, sy lova voatendrin’ Andriamanitra ho azy.
