< Jeremiah 32 >
1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from Yahweh, in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, —the same, was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar;
Judah lengpa Zedekiah lengchan kal, kum som le get lhin kum chule Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar lengchan kal, kum 18 lhin kum chun, Pakai thusei Jeremiah heng ahung lhung in hitin aseiye.
2 and, then, the forces of the king of Babylon were besieging Jerusalem, —and, Jeremiah the prophet, had been shut up in the guard-court, which was in the house of the king of Judah;
Hichepet chun, Babylon lengpa sepai ten, Jerusalem khopi atoupha pet’u ahin, Jeremiah themgao pachu Judah leng inpi sung’a ahenpet u ahi.
3 whom Zedekiah king of Judah, had shut up, saying, —Why art thou prophesying, saying, —Thus, saith Yahweh, Behold me! giving up this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall capture it;
Zedekiah lengpan, Jeremiah themgao chu, songkul'a ahen’a, thudoh aneichu; Ibol’a nang in gaothu nasei le’a, hitobang gaothu hi naseiham? Pakaiyin aseiye, Hichi khopi hi keiman Babylon lengpa khut a kapehdoh ahitai, aman ahinlah jeng ding ahi.
4 and, Zedekiah king of Judah! shall not be delivered out of the hand of the Chaldeans, —for he shall be wholly given up, into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak—the mouth of the one to the mouth of the other, and the eyes of the one into the eyes of the other, shall look;
Zedekiah lengpa chu jamdoh louding, Babylon lengpa khut a luttei ding ahi. Chuleh aman Babylon lengpa akimaitopi tei ding ahi.
5 and into Babylon, shall he lead Zedekiah and, there, shall he remain, until I visit him, Declareth Yahweh, —though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?
Babylon lengpan, Zedekiah lengpa chu, Babylon gam’a akailut ding, chukom’a chu ama umding, keiman ama kagavil kahsea umding ahi, tin Pakaiyin aseiye. Hijeh chun, nanghon Babylon douna gal bol jongleu chun, najolou diu ahi, ati.
6 And Jeremiah said, —The word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
Chuin Pakaiyin hitin aseiye,
7 Lo! Hanameel son of Shallum thine uncle, hath come unto thee saying, —Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth, for, thine, is the right of redemption to buy it.
Na pangah pa Shallem chapa, Hanamel chu nakom’a hung ding, ‘Anathoth mun’a um kalou khu, midang kapehdoh masang a, nangman kichoh tan kahung ti ahi. Ajeh chu, dan dungjui a alhat nading thaneina chu nang’a um ahi, nang in kichoh tan, ahung ti ding ahi.
8 So Hanameel son of mine uncle, came unto me, according to the word of Yahweh into the guard-court, and said unto me, Buy, I pray thee my field that is in Anathoth which is in the land of Benjamin, for, thine, is the right of inheritance, and, thine, the redemption, —buy it for thyself. So I knew, that the word of Yahweh, it was.
Pakaiyin kaheng’a asei bang chun, ka pangah pa chapa Hanamel chu, kaheng’a ahung in, kakihenna songkul’a chun, hitin aseiye: “Benjamin gamsung’a Anathoth mun’a um kalou munkhu kichohtan, dan dungjuija, akilhat ding thaneina nanei ahi. Hijeh chun, midang khut a kapeh masang in, nang momg mong in kichoh tan, ahung ti. Hichun, Pakaiyin kaheng’a thu asei chu kahin hedohtai.
9 And I bought the field from Hanameel son of mine uncle that was in Anathoth, —and weighed him the silver, seventeen shekels, was the silver;
Hichun, keiman Hanamel loumun chu kachotai. Louman chu dangka Shekel somle sagi ahi.
10 and I wrote in the scroll and sealed it, and took in attestation witnesses, —and weighed the silver in the balances.
Hichun, kichohna lekha chu, keiman kikhut henna kabol in, melchihna kanam khumin, ahetoh ho umpet in, sumchu atena-ah katepeh in, kapetai.
11 Then took I the scroll of purchase, both that which was sealed—the title and the conditions—and that which was open;
Chuin Mohor kinam khum, lou-kichohna lekha, akichohdan aning-akah kijih na lekha jong chu kalan,
12 and gave the scroll of purchase unto Baruch son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle[’s son], and in the sight of the witnesses who subscribed the scroll of purchase, —in the sight of all the Jews who were sitting in the guard-court.
Hiche lekha teni chu, keiman Nerieh chapa Baruch, Masheiah tupa chu kapetai. Hichehi, Hanamel angsung leh ahetoh sakhi bolho angsung ah chuleh chukom a um Judah angsung tah’a, keiman kapedoh ahi.
13 Then charged I Baruch in their sight saying:
Hichun keiman miho angsung achun, Baruch chu hitin thu kaseipeh in,
14 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Take thou these scrolls, this scroll of purchase even that which is sealed, and this scroll that is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, —that they may remain many days,
Hatchungnung Pakai, Israel Pathen in, hitin aseiye: Hiche lou-kichohna lekha teni hi, kumsotpi umthei nadingin, leibel sung khat’a koitup in ati, katipeh in ahi.
15 For Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel: Again, shall houses and fields and vineyards, be bought, in this land.
Ijeh inem itileh, Hatchungnung Pakai, Israel Pathen in aseiye: Nikhat teng, mihon hiche gamhi ahinlo kitdiu, in holeh loumun ho, chuleh lengpilei ho, ahin kichoh diu ahi, ati.
16 Then prayed I unto Yahweh, —after I had delivered the scroll of purchase unto Baruch son of Neriah, saying: —
Chuin, lou-kichohna lekha hochu Nerieh chapa Baruch khut’a kapehdoh phat in, keima Pakai heng’a katao in hitin kati:
17 Alas! My Lord, Yahweh! Lo! thou thyself, didst make the heavens, and the earth, by thy great might, and by thine outstretched arm, —There is nothing, too wonderful for thee:
Vo, Hatchungnung Pakai! Nangman vamthamjol le leiset hi, naban thahat namanchah’a nasemdoh ahin, nang ding in imacha ahahsa aumpoi.
18 Executing lovingkindness unto thousands, But recompensing the iniquity of fathers, into the bosom of their children, after them, Thou GOD, the great the mighty, Yahweh of hosts, is his name:
Nangman, nalungsetna longlou chu, mihem asang sang ho namusah jin; chuleh langkhat a nangman mipate chonset na gachu achate khang a nalethuh jin ahi. Nangma loupitah, thaneitah chule Hatchungnung Pakai Pathen nahi.
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in deed, —Whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give unto every one, According to his ways, and According to the fruit of his doings:
Chihna jouse hungkon doh na nahin, thil nasatah tah leh bolmo kidangho nabol’e. chuleh nangman mihemte chon-lamlhah abon'in navelhi jingin, Atoh dungjuija achan diuva lomin na lethuh jin ahi.
20 Who didst set signs and wonders, in the land of Egypt, unto this day, and in Israel and among mankind, —And didst make for thyself a name as at this day;
Nangman Egypt gamsung’a thil kidang tampi na nabol in, hiche hochu tuni geiyin mihon ageldoh jing uve. Hitobang bolmo kidang ho chu, Israel lah a chule namtin vaipi lah’a jong nabol jing in, nangman naming nakthansah tai, tuni geiyin.
21 And didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of, Egypt, With signs and with wonders, and With a strong hand, and With an outstretched arm, and With great terror;
Nangman, Egypt gamsung’a bolmo kidang tampi nabol in, nakhut tah in naban thahat mangchan, chuleh miho ding’a tijat umtah in name Israelte, Egypt akon in nahin puidoh e.
22 And didst give unto them this land, which thou hadst sworn to their fathers to give unto them, —a land flowing with milk and honey;
Nangman amaho chu, apu apateu natepih bang chun, hiche gam leiset, khoiju le Bongnoi lonna gamhi, namite napetai.
23 And they came in and took possession of it But hearkened not unto thy voice Nor in thy law, did they walk, Nought of what thou hadst commanded them to do, did they do, —And so thou hast caused to befall them all this calamity.
Chuin kapu kapateu vin, hiche gamhi alouvin aching tauve. Ahinla amahon nasei angaipouvin, nahil bang in achonpouve. Hijeh’a chu nangman amaho chung’a hiche manthahna hi nalhunsah ahitai.
24 Lo! the earthworks! they have entered the city, to capture it, And the city, hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans, who are fighting against it, because of the sword and the famine and the pestilence, —And so what thou didst speak, hath come to pass, And there thou art looking on!
Vetan, khopi lonvuh ding in galmiten, kulpi bang kimvel’a pansatna sangtah tah ahintol lut uvin, ahindel khum tauve. Tua hiche khopi hi, gal leh kel jeh’a, natna hise hojeh’a chuleh tijatna jeh’a, Babylon te khut’a lutdingah ati. Ijakai hi, nangman naseisa bang in alhungsoh tai.
25 Yet, thou thyself, saidst unto me, O My Lord, Yahweh, Buy thee the field for silver And take in attestation, witnesses, —Whereas, the city, hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!
Hijongleh, Vo Hatchungnung Pakai, hiche khopi hi Babylon te khut’a lutding koncha ahivang in, nangman keijeh a “Sakhi ding mikihol inlang, loumun hi nangman kichoh in, tia einasol chu, nangma nahi, kati,” ati.
26 Then came the word of Yahweh, unto Jeremiah, saying: —
Chujouvin, Jeremiah henga Pakaiyin hitin aseiye,
27 Lo! I, am Yahweh, God of all flesh, —For me, is any thing too wonderful?
Vetan, keima hi Pakai, leiset chunga cheng mihing jouse Pathen chu kahi. Keidinga ipi ahahsa um'em?
28 Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh, —Behold me! giving this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall capture it;
Hichun Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, Keiman hiche khopihi, Babylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar khut’a kapeh ding, chule aman ahin lahding ahitai.
29 And the Chaldeans, who are fighting against this city, Shall enter, and Shall set this city on fire, and Shall consume it, —With the houses on whose roofs they burned incense to Baal and poured out drink-offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger;
Khopi polam’a pansa Babylon techu, asunga hunglut uva, khopi hi meiya ahalvam diu ahi. Chule keima phinna-a baal dinga gim namtwi kihal naleh doilim semthu ho chibai kibohna in jouse, abon’a kihalvam ding ahi.
30 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been nothing but doers of wickedness in my sight from the days of their youth, —For the sons of Israel have been doing nothing but provoke me to anger by the workmanship of their hands, Declareth Yahweh;
Ajeh chu, Israel leh Juda miten, aneolaiyuva pat in, thilse jeng abol uvin, keima eiphindoh tauve, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
31 For According to mine anger, and According to mine indignation, hath been to me this city, from the day when they built it even unto this day, —that I should pull it down from before my face:
Hiche khopi kisahdoh til’a pat tuni geiyin, amahon apha abol pouve. Kalunghanna leh kamah ngenbou aboluvin, hijeh’a chu, hiche khopi hi, keiman kamitmu’a kon’a katolmang ding ahi.
32 because of all the wickedness of the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
Israel leh Judah chonsetna, Jerusalem mite, lengpa leh achapateu, thempu holeh themgao ho, achonsetnau chun, keima eiphin doh’a chle eilunghansah ahitai.
33 Thus have they turned unto me the back, and not the face, —Though I instructed them, betimes, instructing them, Yet have they not been hearkening, to receive correction;
Hiche mitehin einungsun’uvin, keima heng lam’ah hung kihei dingjong ago pouve. Keiman amaho kahil hil vang'in, amahon ngai nahsah in aneipouvin, kathuhil hojong kilahlut ding agel pouve.
34 But have set their abominations in the house on which my name hath been called, to defile it;
Amahon, keima insung tah’a jong, thet umtah doilim ho atungdoh uvin, nasatah in asuboh taove.
35 And have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, To cause their sons and their daughters to pass through unto Molech, Which I commanded them not Neither came it up on my heart, That they should do this horrible thing, —Causing, Judah, to sin!
Amahon, Ben Hinnom phaicham’a chun, doilim houna, Baal maicham tampi asemdoh un, achapateu leh achanu teuchu Molech heng’a, kilhaina thilto in atohdoh uvin ahi. Hitobang chonset gitlou nahi, keiman kalunggil’a kavop khahlou chule blding thupeh’a jong kanei khahlou hel ahi; Hiche hin Juda chu chonsetna’a alhahlut sah ahitai, ati.
36 Now therefore, because of this, —Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, —Concerning this city, whereof ye are saying, It hath been delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, by sword, and by famine and by pestilence:
Tun, nanghon hiche khopi hi, gal jeh, keljeh, chuleh natna hise jeh’a, Babylon lengpa khut’a kipedoh ahi. Atiuve. Ahin, keima, Pakai, Israel Pathen in kasei hi ipi ham, ngai uvin, ati.
37 Behold me! gathering them out of all the lands whither I have driven them—In mine anger and In mine indignation and In great vexation, —And I will cause them to return into this place, And will make them dwell, securely;
Vetan, kalunghan behseh jeh’a, kathethang na gam ho’a kon’a keiman ama hohi, kahin lepui kit diu ahi. Keiman amaho chu hiche khopi ahi, kahin lepuilut kit’a, amaho lungmong’a kachensah ding ahiu’ve.
38 And they shall become my people, —And, I, will become their God;
Chuti’a chu, amaho kamite hiuva, chule keima amaho Pathen kahi ding ahi.
39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, That they may revere me, all the days, —For the good of them and of their children after them;
Amaho chu, keiman lungthim khatseh leh lampi khatseh bou, keima eijabol theina diuva chule amaholeh ason apah’u phatchom nading’a, kapeh ahitai.
40 And I will solemnise to them an age-abiding covenant, That I will not turn away from following them, to do them good, —But the reverence of myself, will I put in their heart, so that they shall not turn away from me.
Chuleh keiman tonsot geiya ding’a, amahotoh kitepna khat kasem ding, keiman amaho ding’a thilpha kabol kangahlou hel ding ahi. Chuleh amaho jong kei’a kon’a avel’a kahei manglou nadiuva, alungsung uva keima ginna lungchang kahoipeh ding ahiuve.
41 And I will rejoice over them, to do them good, —And will plant them in this land in truth, with all my heart and with all my soul.
Chuleh amaho ding thilpha kabolpeh’a kon’a, keima kakipa jing ding, kalungthim pumpi’a kitah tah’a amaho ding’a thilpha tampi kabolpeh’a, hiche gamsung hi avel’a thingphung kiphut bang’a kahulut kit ding ahiuve, ati.
42 For, Thus, saith Yahweh, Like as I have brought upon this people all this great calamity, So, am I bringing upon them all the good that I am speaking concerning them.
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye, Keiman hiche mite chung’a hamsetna tampi kalhut khumden bang’a chu, keiman amaho chung’a thilpha tampi katepeh bang’a kabolpeh kit ding ahi.
43 Therefore shall fields be bought in this land, —whereof ye are saying, It is, a desolation, Without man or beast, It hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans:
Nangbon, ‘Hiche gamsunghi, Babylonte khut’a kapeh doh’a, mihem holeh sahem hojong abon’a mangthei soh’a, chuleh gamsunghi ahomkeu’a kimohjam’a hitam? Tia naseyu hiche gamsung’a loumun hojouse chu kichodo kit ding ahiuve.
44 Fields—for silver, shall men buy, And write in scrolls And seal them, And take in attestation, witnesses, In the land of Benjamin, and In the places round about Jerusalem, and In the cities of Judah, and In the cities of the hill country, and In the cities of the lowland and In the cities of the South, —For I will cause them of their captivity to return Declareth Yahweh.
Benjamin gamsung’a Jerusalem khopi leh akimvel’a, Judah khopi jouse’a, chule thinglhang gamsung jouse’a chule Negev gamsung’a kon’a, loumun ho jouse avel’a kichodoh kit ding, hiche kichohna lekha kijih’a chu, ahetoh miho jaona’a, kikhut henna leh Mohor kinamdetna umcheh ding ahi. Ajeh chu, keiman amaho chung’a hamphatna tincheng kapeh ding ahitai, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
