Jeremiah 25
1 The word which came upon Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, —the same, was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
वह कलाम जो शाह — ए — यहूदाह यहूयक़ीम — बिन — यूसियाह के चौथे बरस में, जो शाह — ए — बाबुल नबूकदनज़र का पहला बरस था, यहूदाह के सब लोगों के बारे में यरमियाह पर नाज़िल हुआ;
2 which word Jeremiah the prophet spake concerning all the people of Judah, and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem saying: —
जो यरमियाह नबी ने यहूदाह के सब लोगों और येरूशलेम के सब बाशिन्दों को सुनाया, और कहा,
3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah even until this day, the which is the twenty-third year, hath the word of Yahweh come unto me; and I have spoken unto you, betimes, speaking, yet have ye not hearkened.
कि शाह — ए — यहूदाह यूसियाह — बिन — अमून के तेरहवें बरस से आज तक यह तेईस बरस ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम मुझ पर नाज़िल होता रहा, और मैं तुम को सुनाता और सही वक़्त पर “जताता रहा पर तुम ने न सुना।
4 And Yahweh sent unto you all, his servants the prophets, betimes sending, though ye hearkened not, neither inclined ye your ear to hear:
और ख़ुदावन्द ने अपने सब ख़िदमतगुज़ार नबियों को तुम्हारे पास भेजा, उसने उनको सही वक़्त पर भेजा, लेकिन तुम ने न सुना और न कान लगाया;
5 saying, —Return I pray you every one from his wicked way and from the wickedness of your doings, So shall ye remain on the soil which Yahweh hath given to you and to your fathers, —even from age to age;
उन्होंने कहा, 'तुम सब अपनी — अपनी बुरी राह से, और अपने बुरे कामों से बाज़ आओ, और उस मुल्क में जो ख़ुदावन्द ने तुम को और तुम्हारे बाप — दादा को पहले से हमेशा के लिए दिया है, बसो;
6 But do not go away after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, —So shall ye not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will not bring calamity upon you;
और ग़ैर मा'बूदों की पैरवी न करो कि उनकी 'इबादत — ओ — परस्तिश करो, और अपने हाथों के कामों से मुझे ग़ज़बनाक न करो; और मैं तुम को कुछ नुक़सान न पहुँचाऊँगा।
7 Howbeit ye hearkened not unto me, Declareth Yahweh, —that ye might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands unto your own hurt.
लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, तुम ने मेरी न सुनी; ताकि अपने हाथों के कामों से अपने ज़ियान के लिए मुझे ग़ज़बनाक करो।
8 Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —Because ye have not heard my words,
'इसलिए रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज यूँ फ़रमाता है कि: चूँकि तुम ने मेरी बात न सुनी,
9 Behold me! sending and fetching all the families of the North, Declareth Yahweh and Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon my servant, And I will bring them in against this land and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations, round about, —And I will devote them to destruction, and make them an astonishment and a hissing, and age-abiding desolations.
देखो, मैं तमाम उत्तरी क़बीलों को और अपने ख़िदमत गुज़ार शाह — ए — बाबुल नबूकदनज़र को बुला भेजूँगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, और मैं उनको इस मुल्क और इसके बाशिन्दों पर, और उन सब क़ौमों पर जो आस — पास हैं चढ़ा लाऊँगा; और इनको बिल्कुल हलाक — ओ — बर्बाद कर दूँगा और इनको हैरानी और सुस्कार का ज़रिया' बनाऊँगा और हमेशा के लिए वीरान करूँगा।
10 And I will banish from among them—The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, The voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, —The sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp:
बल्कि मैं इनमें से ख़ुशी — ओ — शादमानी की आवाज़ दूल्हे और दूल्हन की आवाज़, चक्की की आवाज़ और चराग़ की रोशनी ख़त्म कर दूँगा।
11 So shall all this land become a desolation, an astonishment, And these nations shall serve the king of Babylon, seventy years.
और यह सारी सरज़मीन वीरान और हैरानी का ज़रिया' हो जाएगी, और यह क़ौमें सत्तर बरस तक शाह — ए — बाबुल की ग़ुलामी करेंगी।
12 And it shall some to pass—When the seventy years are fulfilled, I will visit upon the king of Babylon and upon that nation, Declareth Yahweh their iniquity, and upon the land of the Chaldeans, —and I will turn it into age-abiding desolations.
ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, जब सत्तर बरस पूरे होंगे, तो मैं शाह — ए — बाबुल को और उस क़ौम को और कसदियों के मुल्क को, उनकी बदकिरदारी की वजह से सज़ा दूँगा; और मैं उसे ऐसा उजाड़ूँगा कि हमेशा तक वीरान रहे।
13 So will I bring upon that land, All my words which I have spoken against it, —Even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
और मैं उस मुल्क पर अपनी सब बातें जो मैंने उसके बारे में कहीं, या'नी वह सब जो इस किताब में लिखी हैं, जो यरमियाह ने नबुव्वत करके सब क़ौमों को कह सुनाई, पूरी करूँगा
14 For many nations and great kings have used, even them, as slaves, So will I recompense to them—According to their deed and According to the work of their own hands.
कि उनसे, हाँ, उन्हीं से बहुत सी क़ौमें और बड़े — बड़े बादशाह ग़ुलाम के जैसी ख़िदमत लेंगे; तब मैं उनके आ'माल के मुताबिक़ और उनके हाथों के कामों के मुताबिक़ उनको बदला दूँगा।”
15 For, thus, said Yahweh, God of Israel unto me, Take this cup of indignation wine out of my hand, —and cause all the nations unto whom I am sending thee, to drink it:
चूँकि ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा ने मुझे फ़रमाया, ग़ज़ब की मय का यह प्याला मेरे हाथ से ले और उन सब क़ौमों को जिनके पास मैं तुझे भेजता हूँ, पिला,
16 Yea they shall drink and reel to and fro and act as madmen, because of the sword which I am sending between them.
कि वह पिएँ और लड़खड़ाएँ, और उस तलवार की वजह से जो मैं उनके बीच चलाऊँगा बेहवास हों।
17 So I took the cup out of the hand of Yahweh, —and caused all the nations unto whom Yahweh had sent me to drink:
इसलिए मैंने ख़ुदावन्द के हाथ से वह प्याला लिया, और उन सब क़ौमों को जिनके पास ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे भेजा था पिलाया;
18 [to wit said he] —Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and her kings her princes, —making them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a contempt, as at this day;
या'नी येरूशलेम और यहूदाह के शहरों को और उसके बादशाहों और हाकिम को, ताकि वह बर्बाद हों और हैरानी और सुस्कार और ला'नत का ज़रिया' ठहरें, जैसे अब हैं;
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt and his servants and his princes, and all his people;
शाह — ए — मिस्र फ़िर'औन को, और उसके मुलाज़िमों और उसके हाकिम और उसके सब लोगों को;
20 And all the Bedawin, and all the kings of the land of Uz, —and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, even Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
और सब मिले — जुले लोगों, और 'ऊज़ की ज़मीन के सब बादशाहों और फ़िलिस्तियों की सरज़मीन के सब बादशाहों, और अश्क़लोंन और ग़ज़्ज़ा और अक़रून और अश्दूद के बाक़ी लोगों को;
21 Edom and Moab, and the sons of Ammon;
अदोम और मोआब और बनी 'अम्मोन को;
22 And all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Zidon, —and the kings of the Coastland, that is beyond the sea;
और सूर के सब बादशाहों, और सैदा के सब बादशाहों, और समन्दर पार के बहरी मुल्कों के बादशाहों को;
23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all the clipt-beards;
ददान और तेमा और बूज़, और उन सब को जो गाओदुम दाढ़ी रखते हैं;
24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the Bedawin, who dwell in the desert;
और 'अरब के सब बादशाहों, और उन मिले — जुले लोगों के सब बादशाहों को जो वीराने में बसते हैं;
25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
और ज़िमरी के सब बादशाहों और 'ऐलाम के सब बादशाहों और मादै के सब बादशाहों को;
26 And all the kings of the North, the near and the far every man with his brother, and all the kingdoms of the earth which are on the face of the ground; And the king of Sheshach, shall drink, after them.
और उत्तर के सब बादशाहों को जो नज़दीक और जो दूर हैं, एक दूसरे के साथ, और दुनिया की सब सल्तनतों को जो इस ज़मीन पर हैं; और उनके बाद शेशक का बादशाह पिएगा।
27 Therefore shalt thou say unto them—Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, —Drink ye and be drunken, and vomit, and fall and rise not, —because of the sword which I am sending between you.
और तू उनसे कहेगा कि 'इस्राईल का ख़ुदा, रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज यूँ फ़रमाता है कि तुम पियो और मस्त हो और तय करो, और गिर पड़ो और फिर न उठो, उस तलवार की वजह से जो मैं तुम्हारे बीच भेजूँगा।
28 And it shall be when they shall refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them—Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Ye shall certainly drink;
और यूँ होगा कि अगर वह पीने को तेरे हाथ से प्याला लेने से इन्कार करें, तो उनसे कहना कि रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज यूँ फ़रमाता है कि: यक़ीनन तुम को पीना होगा।
29 For lo! with the city on which my Name hath been called, am I making a beginning of sending calamity, And shall, ye, be held, guiltless? Ye shall not be held guiltless: For a sword, am I proclaiming against all the inhabitants of the earth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
क्यूँकि देख, मैं इस शहर पर जो मेरे नाम से कहलाता है आफ़त लाना शुरू' करता हूँ और क्या तुम साफ़ बेसज़ा छूट जाओगे? तुम बेसज़ा न छूटोगे, क्यूँकि मैं ज़मीन के सब बाशिन्दों पर तलवार को तलब करता हूँ, रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज फ़रमाता है।
30 Thou, therefore, shalt prophesy against them all these words, —and shalt say unto them—Yahweh, from on high, will roar Yea from his holy habitation, will utter his voice, He will, roar mightily over his home, With a shout as of them who tread the winepress, will he answer unto all the inhabitants of the earth.
इसलिए तू यह सब बातें उनके ख़िलाफ़ नबुव्वत से बयान कर, और उनसे कह दे कि: 'ख़ुदावन्द बुलन्दी पर से गरजेगा और अपने पाक मकान से ललकारेगा, वह बड़े ज़ोर — ओ — शोर से अपनी चरागाह पर गरजेगा; अंगूर लताड़ने वालों की तरह वह ज़मीन के सब बाशिन्दों को ललकारेगा।
31 There hath come in a tumult as far as the end of the earth, For a controversy, hath Yahweh with the nations, Himself, hath entered into judgment with all flesh, —As for the lawless, he hath delivered them to the sword Declareth Yahweh.
एक ग़ौग़ा जमीन की शरहदों तक पहुँचा है क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द क़ौमों से झगड़ेगा, वह तमाम बशर को 'अदालत में लाएगा, वह शरीरों को तलवार के हवाले करेगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
32 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Lo calamity! going forth from nation to nation, —And a great tempest, shall bestirred up, out of the remote parts of the earth.
'रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज यूँ फ़रमाता है कि: देख, क़ौम से क़ौम तक बला नाज़िल होगी, और ज़मीन की सरहदों से एक सख़्त तूफ़ान खड़ा होगा।
33 Then shall the slain of Yahweh in that day, be from one end of the earth, even unto the other end of the earth, —They shall not be lamented, nor gathered together nor buried, As dung, on the face of the ground, shall they serve.
और ख़ुदावन्द के मक़्तूल उस रोज़ ज़मीन के एक सिरे से दूसरे सिरे तक पड़े होंगे; उन पर कोई नौहा न करेगा, न वह जमा' किए जाएँगे, न दफ़्न होंगे; वह खाद की तरह इस ज़मीन पर पड़े रहेंगे।
34 Howl ye shepherds and make outcry, And roll in the dust ye illustrious of the flock, Because your days for being slaughtered, are fulfilled, —Therefore will I break you in pieces, and ye shall fall like a precious vessel!
ऐ चरवाहो, वावैला करो और चिल्लाओ; और ऐ गल्ले के सरदारों, तुम ख़ुद राख में लेट जाओ, क्यूँकि तुम्हारे क़त्ल के दिन आ पहुँचे हैं। मैं तुम को चकनाचूर करूँगा, तुम नफ़ीस बर्तन की तरह गिर जाओगे।
35 Then shall place of refuge vanish from the shepherds, And escape from the illustrious of the flock.
और न चरवाहों को भागने की कोई राह मिलेगी, न गल्ले के सरदारों को बच निकलने की।
36 The voice of the outcry of the shepherds! Yea the howling of the illustrious of the flock!—Because Yahweh is laying waste the grounds where they fed.
चरवाहों की फ़रियाद की आवाज़ और गल्ले के सरदारों का नौहा है; क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ने उनकी चरागाह को बर्बाद किया है,
37 Then shall be silenced the prosperous pastures, —Because of the fierceness of the anger of Yahweh.
और सलामती के भेड़ ख़ाने ख़ुदावन्द के ग़ज़बनाक ग़ुस्से से बर्बाद हो गए।
38 He hath left as a lion his covert, For their land hath become a horror, Because of the fierceness of oppression and Because of the fierceness of his anger.
वह जवान शेर की तरह अपनी कमीनगाह से निकला है; यक़ीनन सितमगर के ज़ुल्म से और उसके क़हर की शिद्दत से उनका मुल्क वीरान हो गया।
