Jeremiah 19
1 Thus said Yahweh, Go and buy a potter’s earthen bottle, —and take of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;
௧யெகோவா சொன்னது: நீ போய்க் குயவன் வேலையான ஒரு கலசத்தைக் கொண்டு, மக்களின் மூப்பரிலும், ஆசாரியர்களின் மூப்பரிலும் சிலரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,
2 Then shalt thou go forth into the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is at the opening of the gate of potsherds; and proclaim there the words which I shall speak unto thee;
௨கிழக்கு வாசலுக்கு முன்பான இன்னோமுடைய மகனின் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், நான் உன்னுடன் சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகளை அங்கே பிரசித்தப்படுத்து.
3 and shalt say, —Hear ye the word of Yahweh, O kings of Judah And inhabitants of Jerusalem, —Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts—God of Israel Behold me! bringing in calamity upon this place, which shall cause the ears of every one that heareth it, to tingle:
௩நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: யூதாவின் ராஜாக்களே, எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்: இதோ, நான் இந்த இடத்தின்மேல் ஒரு பொல்லாப்பை வரச்செய்வேன்; அதைக் கேட்கிற அனைவருடைய காதுகளிலும் அது தொனித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.
4 Because they have forsaken me, And have treated this as a foreign place, And have burned incense therein to other gods, which neither they, nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah, have known; And have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
௪அவர்கள் என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு, இந்த இடத்தை அந்நிய இடமாக்கி, தாங்களும், தங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களும், யூதாவின் ராஜாக்களும், அறியாதிருந்த அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்கு அதில் தூபங்காட்டி, இந்த இடத்தைக் குற்றமில்லாதவர்களின் இரத்தத்தினால் நிரப்பினதினாலும்,
5 And have built the high places of Baal for burning up their sons in the fire as ascending-sacrifices to Baal, —Which I commanded not, Nor spake, Neither came it up on my heart,
௫தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளைப் பாகாலுக்குத் தகனபலிகளாகத் தகனிப்பதற்கு பாகாலின் மேடைகளைக் கட்டினதினாலும் இப்படி வரச்செய்வேன்; இவைகளை நான் கற்பித்ததுமில்லை, சொன்னதுமில்லை, இவைகள் என் இருதயத்தில் தோன்றினதுமில்லை.
6 Therefore, lo! days coming, Declareth Yahweh, When this place shall be called no longer The Topheth, or The Valley of Ben-hinnom, —but—The Valley of Slaughter;
௬ஆகையால், இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும், அப்பொழுது இந்த இடம் தோப்பேத்தென்றும், இன்னோமுடைய மகனின் பள்ளத்தாக்கென்றும் இனிச் சொல்லப்படாமல், சங்கார பள்ளத்தாக்கென்று சொல்லப்படும்.
7 And I will pour out the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, And I will cause them to fall by the sword, before their enemies, and by the hand of them who seek their life, —
௭அப்பொழுது நான் யூதாவுக்கும் எருசலேமுக்கும் கொண்டிருந்த ஆலோசனையை இந்த இடத்தில் வெறுமையாக்கி, அவர்கள் எதிரிகளுக்கு முன்பாக அவர்களைப் பட்டயத்தினாலும், அவர்கள் உயிரை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்களின் கையினாலும் விழச்செய்து, அவர்கள் பிணங்களை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும், பூமியின் மிருகங்களுக்கும் இரையாகக் கொடுத்து,
8 And I will give their dead bodies for food, to the bird of the heavens and to the beast of the earth; And I will make this city a desolation and a hissing, —every one that passeth by it, shall be astonished and hiss over all her wounds;
௮இந்த நகரத்தை அழிக்கவும் சத்தமிட்டு நிந்திக்கிற நிந்தையாகவும் வைப்பேன்; அதைக் கடந்துபோகிறவன் எவனும் பிரமித்து, அதின் எல்லா வாதைகளினிமித்தமும் சத்தமிடுவான்.
9 And I will suffer them to eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters, yea every one—the flesh of his friend, will they eat, —in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith, their enemies, and they who seek their lives, will straiten them.
௯அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகளும் அவர்கள் உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களும், அவர்களை இறுகப்பிடிக்கப்போகிற முற்றுகையிலும் இடுக்கத்திலும், நான் அவர்களைத் தங்கள் மகன்களின் மாம்சத்தையும் தங்கள் மகள்களின் மாம்சத்தையும் சாப்பிடச்செய்வேன்; அவனவன் தனக்கு அடுத்தவனுடைய மாம்சத்தை சாப்பிடுவான் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்று நீ சொல்லி,
10 Then shalt thou break the bottle, before the eyes of the men who are walking with thee;
௧0உன்னுடன் கூடவந்த மனிதனுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்தக் கலசத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டு,
11 and shalt say unto them—Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts—Thus and thus, will I break this people, and this city, As one breaketh the vessel of a potter, which cannot be made whole any more, —And in Topheth, shall they bury, for want of place to bury.
௧௧அவர்களை நோக்கி: திரும்பச் சரிசெய்யமுடியாத குயவனுடைய மண்பாத்திரத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டவிதமாக, நான் இந்த மக்களையும் இந்த நகரத்தையும் உடைத்துப்போடுவேன்; புதைக்கிறதற்கு இடமில்லாததினால் தோப்பேத்தில் சவங்களைப் புதைப்பார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
12 Thus, will I do to this place Declareth Yahweh, And to the inhabitants thereof, —Even making this city like Topheth:
௧௨இவ்விதமாக நான் இந்த இடத்திற்கும் இதின் குடிமக்களுக்கும் செய்து, இந்த நகரத்தைத் தோப்பேத்திற்குச் சரியாக்குவேன்.
13 Yea, the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall like the place of Topheth, be places defiled, —even all the houses upon whose roofs they burned incense to all the host of the heavens, and poured out drink-offerings to other gods.
௧௩எந்த வீடுகளின்மேல் வானத்தின் எல்லா சேனைக்கும் தூபங்காட்டி, அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்த்தார்களோ, அந்த வீடுகளாகிய எருசலேமின் வீடுகளும் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாவின் வீடுகளும் தோப்பேத் என்கிற இடத்தைப்போல் தீட்டுப்பட்டவைகளாக இருக்குமென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
14 Then entered Jeremiah out of Topheth, whither Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, —and stood in the court of the house of Yahweh, and said unto all the people:
௧௪பின்பு எரேமியா, யெகோவா தன்னைத் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்ல அனுப்பின தோப்பேத்திலிருந்து வந்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் முற்றத்தில் நின்றுகொண்டு, எல்லா மக்களையும் பார்த்து:
15 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Behold me! brining in against this city, and upon all the cities thereof, The whole calamity which I have pronounced against her, —Because they stiffened their neck, that they might not hear my words.
௧௫இதோ, நீங்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமல் உங்கள் கழுத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினதினால் நான் இந்த நகரத்திற்கு விரோதமாகச் சொன்ன எல்லாத் தீங்கையும் இதின்மேலும் இதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பட்டணங்களின்மேலும் வரச்செய்வேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.
