< Jeremiah 15 >

1 Then said Yahweh unto me, Though Moses and Samuel should stand before me, My soul could not be toward this people, —Send them away from before me And let them go forth.
Mgbe ahụ Onyenwe anyị gwara m okwu sị m, “Ọ bụrụ na Mosis na Samuel apụta bịa guzo nʼihu m, ụdịdị obi m agaghị agbanwe nʼebe ndị a nọ. Chụpụ ha nʼihu m. Mee ka ha si nʼebe a pụọ.
2 And it shall come to pass when they say unto thee Whither shall we go? Then shalt, thou say unto them, Thus saith Yahweh—Such as are for death, to death, and Such as are for the sword, to the sword, and Such as are for famine, to the famine, and Such as are for captivity, to captivity.
Ọ bụrụ na ha ajụọ gị si, ‘Ebee ka anyị ga-aga?’ Gwa ha na ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “‘Ndị e debere nʼihi ọnwụ ga-anwụ, ndị e debere nʼihi mma agha ka mma agha ga-egbu; ndị e debere nʼihi ụnwụ ka ụnwụ ga-egbu, otu a kwa, ndị e debere nʼihi ịdọta nʼagha, ka a ga-adọta nʼagha buru ha gaa mba ọzọ.’
3 And I will set in charge over them—four species Declareth Yahweh, The sword to slay, and The dogs to trail along, —and The bird of the heavens and The beast of the earth to devour and to destroy.
“Aga m ezite ụdị mbibi anọ megide ha: mma agha nke ga-egbu ha, nkịta ga-adọkpụrụ ozu ha pụọ, ụmụ anụ ufe na ụmụ anụ ọhịa dị iche iche ga-eripịa ha, ma bibiekwa ha.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
4 And I will make them a terror, to all the kingdoms of the earth, —On account of Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah, For what he did in Jerusalem.
Aga m eme ka ha ghọọ ihe a na-asọ oyi nʼalaeze niile nke ụwa, nʼihi ihe Manase nwa eze Hezekaya nke Juda mere na Jerusalem.
5 For who shall have pity upon thee O Jerusalem? And who shall lament for thee? And who shall turn aside, to ask for thy welfare?
“Onye ga-enwe ebere nʼahụ gị, gị Jerusalem? Onye ga-eru ụjụ nʼihi ihe ga-adakwasị gị? Onye ga-apụta guzo ịjụ ajụjụ banyere otu ihe si agara gị?
6 Thou, hast abandoned, me, Declareth Yahweh, Backward, thou wilt go, Therefore have I stretched forth my hand against thee and laid thee waste, —I am weary of having compassion.
Gị onwe gị ajụla m,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara. “Ị nọgidela na-adaghachi azụ. Ya mere, aga m ebikwasị gị aka, bibie gị. Ike m ji akwụsị gị ka ị ghara ịdaghachi azụ agwụla m.
7 Therefore have I winnowed them with a winnowing shovel in the gates of the land, —I have bereaved—I have destroyed my people, From their own ways, have they not returned.
Aga m eji ihe e ji afụcha ọka fụchaa ha nʼọnụ ụzọ ama nke ala ahụ. Aga m eme ka mbibi bịakwasị ndị m, nke ga-eme ka ha gbara aka ụmụ, nʼihi na ha esitebeghị nʼụzọ ọjọọ ha chigharịa.
8 Their widows have become multiplied to me, beyond the sand of the seas, I have brought against them—upon the mother of young men—the spoiler in the broad noon, —I have let fall upon her suddenly, excitement and terrors.
9 Languisheth! she who had given birth to seven, She hath breathed out her life Her sun hath gone in, while yet it was day, She hath turned pale and hath turned red, —And the remnant of them, to the sword, will I deliver before their enemies, Declareth Yahweh.
Nwanyị mụrụ ụmụ asaa ga-ada mba, kubie ume. Ọ ga-anwụ mgbe oge ya na-erubeghị, ihere ga-eme ya; ọ ga-abụkwa onye e wedara nʼala. Ma ndị fọdụrụ ndụ ka m ga-eme ka ha nwụọ site na mma agha ndị iro ha.” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
10 Woe to me! my mother, That thou didst bear me, A man of litigation and a man of contention to all the land, —I have not lent on interest Nor have they lent on interest to me, Every one, hath treated me with contempt.
Ahụhụ dịịrị m, nne m, na ị mụrụ m, onye ya na ndị niile bi nʼala a na-alụ ọgụ, ma na-ese okwu. O nwebeghị onye m binyere ego, ọ dịkwaghị onye binyere m ego, ma mmadụ niile na-akọcha m.
11 Said Yahweh, —Verily, I will loose thee, for good! Verily, I will intercede for thee In the time of calamity, and In the time of distress with the enemy!
Onyenwe anyị kwuru sị, “Nʼezie, aga m anapụta gị nʼihi ezi ihe, aga m eme ka onye iro gị rịọ gị arịrịọ nʼoge ihe ọjọọ na nʼoge mkpagbu.
12 Shall iron crush the iron from the North and the bronze?
“Mmadụ o nwere ike ịgbaji igwe, ya bụ igwe e si nʼakụkụ ugwu bubata, maọbụ bronz?
13 Thy substance and thy treasures—for a prey, will I give, without price, —Even for all thy sins and in all thy bounds:
“Aga m ewere ihe niile i nwere, ya na akụnụba gị, nye ya onye ga-akwata ha nʼagha. Ọ gaghị akwụ gị ihe ọbụla. Nʼihi na mmehie gị niile ejupụtala nʼala a niile.
14 Therefore will I make thee pass, with thine enemies into a land thou knowest not, —For, a fire, hath been kindled in mine anger Upon you, shall it burn.
Aga m ewere gị nye ka ị bụrụ ohu ndị iro gị. Ị ga-ebi nʼala ị na-amaghị. Nʼihi na a ga-esite nʼiwe m mụnye ọkụ nke ga-eregbu gị.”
15 Thou knowest—O Yahweh Remember me and visit me and avenge me upon my persecutors, Do not of thy longsuffering, take me away, —Know—I have borne for thy sake, reproach.
Ị maara O Onyenwe anyị, ya mere cheta m, lekọtaakwa m. Bọọrọ m ọbọ megide ndị na-akpagbu m. Ewezugala m, biko, nʼihi na ị bụ onye ogologo ntachiobi. Lee ka m si na-anata nkọcha nʼihi na m na-asọpụrụ gị.
16 Thy words, were found, and I did eat them, Then became thy words unto me the joy and gladness of my heart, —For thy Name hath been called upon me, O Yahweh God of hosts!
Mgbe m chọpụtara okwu gị, eweere m ya rie dịka nri. Ha tọrọ obi m ụtọ, bụrụkwa ihe na-enye m ọṅụ, nʼihi na-akpọkwasịrị m aha gị, Onyenwe anyị Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
17 I sat not in the circle of mockers, Nor became I uproarious, —Because of thy hand, by myself did I sit, For with indignation, hadst thou filled me.
O nwebeghị oge mụ na ndị na-achị ọchị nke ukwuu ji nọkọọ. Esokwaghị m ha ṅụrịkọọ ọṅụ. A nọdụụrụ m onwe m nʼihi na aka gị dịkwasịrị m. I mekwara ka iwe jupụta m nʼobi nʼihi ajọ omume ha.
18 Wherefore hath my pain become perpetual? And my wound, incurable? Refuseth to be healed? Wilt thou, indeed be, to me [As a brook] that disappointeth, Waters that cannot be trusted?
Gịnị mere ihe mgbu m adịghị akwụsị akwụsị? Gịnị mekwara ọnya m ji dị njọ na-apụghị ịgwọta ya? Ị dịrị m dịka mmiri iyi na-arafu mmadụ, dịka isi iyi nke na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi.
19 Wherefore Thus, saith Yahweh—If thou wouldst return, I will cause thee to return Before me, shalt thou stand, Yea if thou wilt bring out the precious from among the vile, As mine own mouth shalt thou be, —Let them return unto thee, But thou, shalt not return unto them;
Ya mere, ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, “Ọ bụrụ na i chegharịa, aga m etinyeghachi gị nʼọnọdụ gị, ime ka i guzokwa nʼihu m. Ọ bụrụ na okwu si gị nʼọnụ abụrụ okwu kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, okwu na-abụghị okwu nzuzu ị ga-abụ onye na-ekwuchitere m ọnụ m. Ndị a ga-alaghachikwute gị ma i gaghị alaghachikwuru ha.
20 So will I make thee to this people a wall of bronze, fortified, When they fight against thee, they shall not prevail against thee, —For with thee, am, I, to save thee and to deliver thee, Declareth Yahweh;
Aga m eme ka ị dịrị ka mgbidi nʼebe ha nọ. Ị ga-abụ mgbidi e wusiri ike, nke e ji bronz wuo. Ha ga-ebuso gị agha, ma ha agaghị emeri gị nʼihi na m nọnyeere gị ịnapụta gị, nakwa ịzọpụta gị,” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri.
21 Thus will I deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, —And redeem thee out of the grasp of the tyrants.
“Aga m anapụta gị site nʼaka ndị ọjọọ. Gbapụtakwa gị site nʼaka ndị na-enweghị obi ebere.”
