Isaiah 7
1 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz son of Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria, and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, came up, to Jerusalem, to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
Ug nahitabo sa mga adlaw ni Achaz, ang anak nga lalake ni Jotham, ang anak nga lalake ni Uzzias, ang hari sa Juda, nga si Rezin ang hari sa Siria, ug si Peca ang anak nga lalake ni Remalias, hari sa Israel, nangadto sa Jerusalem aron sa pagpakiggubat batok kaniya, apan sila wala makadaug batok kaniya.
2 And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria hath settled down upon Ephraim. Then shook his heart, and the heart of his people, as the trees of a forest shake before a wind.
Ug ang balay ni David gisuginlan nga ang Siria nakigsagabay kang Ephraim. Ug ang iyang kasingkasing mikurog, ug ang kasingkasing sa iyang katawohan ingon sa mga kakahoyan sa lasang nga mokurog uban sa hangin.
3 Then said Yahweh, unto Isaiah, Go forth, I pray thee, to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, —unto the end of the channel of the upper pool, unto the highway of the fuller’s field;
Unya miingon si Jehova kang Isaias: Lumakaw ka karon aron sa pagtagbo kang Achaz, ikaw, ug si Searjasub nga imong anak, sa tumoy sa kanal sa linaw nga sa taas, sa alagianan sa yuta sa maglalaba;
4 and say unto him—Take heed and keep thyself calm—do not fear, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two fag-ends of smoking firebrands, —in spite of the glow of the anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.
Ug ingnon mo siya: Pagbantay ug paghilum; ayaw kahadlok, ni paluyahon mo ang imong kasingkasing, tungod niining duruha ka mga ikog sa nagaaso nga pabilo, tungod sa mabangis nga kasuko ni Rezin hari sa Siria, ug sa anak ni Remalias.
5 Because Syria, hath taken counsel against thee, for mischief, —[with] Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, saying,
Tungod kay ang Siria, ang Ephraim ug ang anak ni Remalias nagatinguha ug dautan batok kanimo nga nag-ingon:
6 Let us go up against Judah, and besiege it, and break it open, for ourselves, —and set up a king in the midst thereof, even the son of Tabeal,
Manungas kita batok sa Juda, ug atong samokon kini, ug ato kining bungkagon alang kanato, ug ibutang ta ang usa ka hari sa taliwala niini; ang anak ni Tabeel;
7 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, —It shall not stand Neither shall it come to pass!
Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoo nga si Jehova: Kini dili motindog, ni mahinabo.
8 For, though the head of Syria is Damascus, And, the head of Damascus, is Rezin, Yet within threescore and five years more, shall Ephraim be broken that it shall not be a people;
Kay ang ulo sa Siria mao ang Damasco, ug ang ulo sa Damasco mao si Rezin; ug sulod sa kan-uman ug lima ka tuig ang Ephraim mabungkag, aron kini dili mamahimong usa ka katawohan:
9 Even though the head of Ephraim is Samaria, And, the head of Samaria, is the son of Remaliah. If ye trust not, Surely, ye cannot be trusted!
Ug ang ulo sa Ephraim mao ang Samaria, ug ang ulo sa Samaria mao ang anak ni Remalias. Kong kamo dili motoo, sa pagkatinuod kamo dili mamalig-on.
10 And again spake Yahweh unto Ahaz saying—
Ug si Jehova misulti pag-usab kang Achaz nga nagaingon;
11 Ask thee a sign, of Yahweh thy God, —Go down deep for a request, Or ascend on high! (Sheol h7585)
Pangayo ug timaan kang Jehova nga imong Dios; pangayo niini bisan sa kahiladman kun sa ibabaw sa kahitas-an. (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz said, —I will not ask Nor will I put Yahweh to the proof.
Apan si Achaz miingon: Dili ako mangayo, ni manulay ako kang Jehova.
13 Then said he—Hear, I pray you, O house of David! Is it, too little, for you to weary men, that ye must weary even my God?
Ug siya miingon: Panimati kamo karon, Oh balay ni David: Diyutay ra bang butang kaninyo ang pagsamok sa mga tawo, aron inyong pagasamokon ang Dios usab?
14 Wherefore let My Lord Himself give you a sign, —Lo! a Virgin, being with child and giving birth to a son, thou wilt call his name Immanuel.
Busa ang Ginoo gayud maoy mohatag kaninyo ug usa ka timaan: ania karon, ang usa ka ulay manamkon, ug magaanak ug usa ka anak nga lalake, ug pagatawgon ang iyang ngalan Emmanuel.
15 Curds and honey, shall he eat, by the time that he knoweth to refuse the bad and choose the good;
Mantequilla ug dugos maoy iyang pagakan-on hangtud sa iyang pagkahibalo sa pagsalikway sa dautan, ug sa pagpili sa maayo.
16 for before the boy knoweth to refuse the bad and choose the good, forsaken shall be the land, at which, thou, art alarmed, of the presence of both her kings.
Kay sa dili pa ang bata makakat-on sa pagsalikway sa dautan, ug sa pagpili sa maayo, ang yuta kansang duruha ka mga hari imong gikasilagan pagabiyaan.
17 Yahweh will bring upon thee and upon thy people, and upon the house of thy father, days which have not come, from the day when Ephraim departed from Judah, —even the king of Assyria.
Si Jehova magadala sa ibabaw kanimo, ug sa ibabaw sa imong katawohan, ug sa ibabaw sa balay sa imong amahan, sa mga adlaw nga wala pa mahinabo, gikan niadtong adlawa sa pagbulag sa Ephraim gikan sa Juda, bisan ang hari sa Asiria.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day that Yahweh will give a signal—To the fly that is in the uttermost part of the Nile-canals of Egypt, And to the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
Ug nahitabo niadtong adlawa nga sitsitan ni Jehova ang langaw nga anaa sa kinatumyang dapit sa mga suba sa Egipto, ug ang putyokan nga anaa sa yuta sa Asiria.
19 And they shall all of them come and settle down—In the desolate torrent-valleys, And in the rents of the crags, —And on all the thorn-bushes, And on all the pastures,
Ug sila manganhi, ug silang tanan managpuyo sa mga walog nga biniyaan, ug diha sa mga pangas sa kapangpangan, ug ibabaw sa tanang mga tunok nga alad, ug ibabaw sa tanang pasibsibanan.
20 In that day, will My Lord shave, with a hired razor, even with them of the lands over the River Euphrates, with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet, —yea, even the beard, will it sweep off.
Niadtong adlawa pagaagilan sa Ginoo sa ig-alagil nga inabangan ang mga bahin sa Suba, bisan ilakip ang hari sa Asiria, ang ulo ug ang buhok sa mga tiil; ug ang bungot usab pagaut-uton niini.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall keep alive a young cow and two sheep.
Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa, nga may usa ka tawo nga magaalima sa usa ka nating vaca, ug duruha ka carnero.
22 Yea it shall come to pass for the abundance of the yield of milk, that he shall eat curds, —for, curds and honey, shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
Ug mahitabo nga tungod sa pagkadaghan sa gatas nga ilang ihatag nga siya magakaon ug mantequilla: kay ang tagsatagsa nga mahibilin sa taliwala sa yuta magakaon sa mantequilla ug dugos
23 And it shall some to pass in that day, that, every place wherein there used to be a thousand vines at a thousand pieces of silver, —yea, even for briars and thorns, shall it be.
Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa, nga sa tagsatagsa ka dapit, nga dihay usa ka libo ka mga balagon nga nagbili ug usa ka libo ka book nga salapi, motubo ang sampinit ug tunok.
24 With arrows and with a bow, shall one come in thither, —for briars and thorns, shall be all the land.
Uban ang mga udyong ug pana may usa nga moanha, tungod kay ang tibook yuta mahimong kasampinitan ug katunokan.
25 But all the hills which, with the hoe, can be weeded, —there shall not come thither, the fear of briars and thorns, —but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the tread of lesser cattle.
Ug sa tanang mga bungtod nga kinalutan sa sarol, dili ka makaanha diha sa kahadlok tungod sa mga sampinit ug tunok; kondili kini aron kapadad-an sa vaca nga toro, ug aron pagatumban sa mga carnero.
