Isaiah 7
1 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz son of Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah, that Rezin king of Syria, and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, came up, to Jerusalem, to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
Panahon sa mga adlaw ni Ahaz nga anak nga lalaki ni Jotam nga anak nga lalaki ni Uzia, ang hari sa Juda, mitungas ngadto sa Jerusalem si Rezin ang hari sa Aram, ug si Peka nga anak nga lalaki ni Remalia, ang hari sa Israel aron sa pagpakiggubat batok niini, apan dili sila makadaog batok niini.
2 And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria hath settled down upon Ephraim. Then shook his heart, and the heart of his people, as the trees of a forest shake before a wind.
Gisugilon kini sa panimalay ni David nga ang Aram nakig-abin sa Efraim. Nagkurog ang iyang kasingkasing, ug ang kasingkasing sa iyang katawhan, sama sa mga kahoy sa kalasangan nga giuyog sa hangin.
3 Then said Yahweh, unto Isaiah, Go forth, I pray thee, to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, —unto the end of the channel of the upper pool, unto the highway of the fuller’s field;
Unya miingon si Yahweh ngadto kang Isaias, “Lakaw uban sa imong anak nga lalaki nga si Shear Jashub aron tagboon si Ahaz sa tumoy sa agianan sa tubig sa ibabaw nga dapit sa linaw, sa dalan paingon sa Dapit nga Labhanan.
4 and say unto him—Take heed and keep thyself calm—do not fear, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two fag-ends of smoking firebrands, —in spite of the glow of the anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.
Sultihi siya, 'Pag-amping, pagpabilin nga malinawon, ayaw kahadlok o kakulba niining duha ka sanga nga nagaaso apan walay kalayo, pinaagi sa hilabihan nga kasuko ni Rezin ug sa Aram, ug ni Peka nga anak nga lalaki ni Remalia.
5 Because Syria, hath taken counsel against thee, for mischief, —[with] Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, saying,
Naglaraw ang Aram, ang Efraim, ug ang anak nga lalaki ni Remalia ug daotan batok kanimo; miingon sila,
6 Let us go up against Judah, and besiege it, and break it open, for ourselves, —and set up a king in the midst thereof, even the son of Tabeal,
“Sulongon nato ang Juda ug lisangon siya, ug bungkagon nato siya ug ipahimutang ang atong hari didto, ang anak nga lalaki ni Tabeel.”
7 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, —It shall not stand Neither shall it come to pass!
Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo, “Dili kini mahimo; dili kini mahitabo,
8 For, though the head of Syria is Damascus, And, the head of Damascus, is Rezin, Yet within threescore and five years more, shall Ephraim be broken that it shall not be a people;
tungod kay ang pangulo sa Aram mao ang Damascus, ug ang pangulo sa Damascus mao si Rezin. Sulod sa 65 ka mga tuig, malaglag ang Efraim ug dili na kini matawag nga katawhan.
9 Even though the head of Ephraim is Samaria, And, the head of Samaria, is the son of Remaliah. If ye trust not, Surely, ye cannot be trusted!
Ang pangulo sa Efraim mao ang Samaria, ug ang pangulo sa Samaria mao ang anak nga lalaki ni Remalia. Kung dili kamo magpabiling lig-on sa inyong pagtuo, dili gayod kamo magpabilin nga luwas.”'”
10 And again spake Yahweh unto Ahaz saying—
Nakigsulti pagbalik ang Ginoo kang Ahaz,
11 Ask thee a sign, of Yahweh thy God, —Go down deep for a request, Or ascend on high! (Sheol h7585)
“Pangayo ug timailhan kang Yahweh nga imong Dios; pangayo niini diha sa kinahiladman o diha sa ibabaw sa kahitas-an.” (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz said, —I will not ask Nor will I put Yahweh to the proof.
Apan miingon si Ahaz, “Dili ako mangayo, ni sulayan si Yahweh.”
13 Then said he—Hear, I pray you, O house of David! Is it, too little, for you to weary men, that ye must weary even my God?
Busa mitubag si Isaias, “Paminaw, panimalay ni David. Dili pa ba igo kaninyo nga katawhan ang pagsulay sa pailob sa katawhan? Sulayan ba usab ninyo ang pailob sa akong Dios?
14 Wherefore let My Lord Himself give you a sign, —Lo! a Virgin, being with child and giving birth to a son, thou wilt call his name Immanuel.
Busa ang Ginoo mohatag kaninyo nga katawhan sa timailhan; tan-awa, magmabdos ang batan-ong babaye, manganak ug usa ka lalaki, ug pagatawgon ang iyang ngalan nga Immanuel.
15 Curds and honey, shall he eat, by the time that he knoweth to refuse the bad and choose the good;
Magakaon siya ug keso ug dugos sa dihang makabalo na siya sa pagdumili sa daotan ug pagpili sa maayo.
16 for before the boy knoweth to refuse the bad and choose the good, forsaken shall be the land, at which, thou, art alarmed, of the presence of both her kings.
Kay sa dili pa mahibalo ang bata sa pagdumili sa daotan ug sa pagpili sa maayo, mamingaw ug mabiyaan na ang yuta sa duha ka mga hari nga imong gikahadlokan.
17 Yahweh will bring upon thee and upon thy people, and upon the house of thy father, days which have not come, from the day when Ephraim departed from Judah, —even the king of Assyria.
Pagadad-on ni Yahweh kanimo, sa imong katawhan, ug sa balay sa imong amahan ang mga adlaw nga walay sama kaniadto sanglit mibulag ang Efraim gikan sa Juda— pagadad-on niya kanimo ang hari sa Asiria.”
18 And it shall come to pass in that day that Yahweh will give a signal—To the fly that is in the uttermost part of the Nile-canals of Egypt, And to the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
Nianang panahona, motaghoy si Yahweh sa langaw nga gikan sa layong mga sapa sa Ehipto, ug alang sa putyokan nga gikan sa yuta sa Asiria.
19 And they shall all of them come and settle down—In the desolate torrent-valleys, And in the rents of the crags, —And on all the thorn-bushes, And on all the pastures,
Manganhi silang tanan ug mamuyo sa mga lalom nga lugot, ngadto sa mga bangag sa dagkong mga bato, sa tanang sampinitan, ug sa tanang sibsibanan.
20 In that day, will My Lord shave, with a hired razor, even with them of the lands over the River Euphrates, with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet, —yea, even the beard, will it sweep off.
Nianang panahona kiskisan sa Ginoo pinaagi sa labaha ang mga buhok sa ulo ug sa paa nga giabangan unahan sa Suba sa Eufrates—ang hari sa Asiria; pagakiskisan usab niini ang bangas.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall keep alive a young cow and two sheep.
Nianang adlawa, magbuhi ang usa ka tawo ug nating baka ug duha ka mga karnero,
22 Yea it shall come to pass for the abundance of the yield of milk, that he shall eat curds, —for, curds and honey, shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
ug tungod sa kadaghan sa gatas nga ilang mahatag, mokaon siya ug keso, kay ang ang tanang nahibilin sa yuta makakaon sa keso ug dugos.
23 And it shall some to pass in that day, that, every place wherein there used to be a thousand vines at a thousand pieces of silver, —yea, even for briars and thorns, shall it be.
Nianang taknaa, ang dapit nga adunay 1, 000 ka parasan nga nagkantidad ug 1, 000 ka mga shekels, walay bisan unsang butang nga maanaa gawas sa mga sampinit ug mga tunok.
24 With arrows and with a bow, shall one come in thither, —for briars and thorns, shall be all the land.
Moadto ang kalalakin-an didto aron mangayam gamit ang ilang mga pana, tungod kay ang tanang yuta mahimong sampinitan ug katunokan.
25 But all the hills which, with the hoe, can be weeded, —there shall not come thither, the fear of briars and thorns, —but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the tread of lesser cattle.
Magpalayo sila gikan sa tanang kabungtoran nga kanhing tanaman gamit ang bara, gumikan sa kahadlok sa mga sampinit ug tunok; apan mahimo kining sibsibanan sa mga baka ug mga karnero.
