< Isaiah 66 >

1 Thus, saith Yahweh, The, heavens, are my throne, and The earth, is my footstool: Where then is the house which ye can build me? Or where is my place of rest?
Jehova ekuuga ũũ: “Igũrũ nĩrĩo gĩtĩ gĩakwa kĩa ũnene, nayo thĩ nĩyo gĩturwa gĩakwa kĩa magũrũ. Mũngĩkĩnjakĩra nyũmba ĩhaana atĩa? Naho handũ hakwa ha kũhurũka hangĩkorwo hahaana atĩa?
2 For, all these things, hath mine own hand made, And all these things came into being, —Declareth Yahweh. But for this one, will I look around, For him who is humbled and smitten in spirit, And so careth anxiously for my word.
Githĩ ti guoko gwakwa gwathondekire indo ici ciothe, na gũgĩtũma igĩe kuo?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga. “Atĩrĩrĩ, mũndũ ũyũ nowe ngaatĩĩa: nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa wĩnyiihagia na akagĩa na ngoro ĩherete, na akainaina rĩrĩa ekũigua kiugo gĩakwa.
3 He that slaughtereth an ox, [is as one] who smiteth a man, He that sacrificeth a lamb, [is as one] who beheadeth a dog, he that causeth a meal-offering to ascend, offereth it with the blood of swine, He that maketh a memorial of frankincense, [is as one] who blesseth iniquity: They indeed, have chosen their own ways, And in their own abominations, their soul hath found delight;
No rĩrĩ, mũndũ ũrĩa ũrutaga ndegwa igongona ahaana o ta ũrĩa ũragaga mũndũ, nake ũrĩa ũrutaga gatũrũme, ahaana o ta mũndũ ũrĩa uunaga ngui ngingo; mũndũ ũrĩa ũrutaga iruta rĩa mũtu, ahaana o ta mũndũ ũrĩa ũrutaga thakame ya ngũrwe, nake ũrĩa ũcinaga ũbumba wa kĩririkano, ahaana o ta mũndũ ũrĩa ũhooyaga mũhianano. Andũ acio nĩmethuurĩire njĩra ciao o ene, na ngoro ciao igakenagio nĩ maũndũ marĩa marĩ magigi;
4 I, also, will choose the things that vex them. And the things they dread, will I bring upon them, Because—I called and there was none to answer, I spake, and they hearkened not, —But did that which was wicked in mine eyes, And of that wherein I delighted not, made choice.
nĩ ũndũ ũcio, niĩ o na niĩ nĩngathuura kũmeka ũndũ mũũru na ndĩmarehithĩrie maũndũ marĩa matũmaga metigĩrĩte. Nĩgũkorwo rĩrĩa ndetanire, gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe wanjĩtĩkire, na rĩrĩa ndaaririe, gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe wathikĩrĩirie. Andũ acio meekire maũndũ mooru maitho-inĩ makwa, na magĩthuura maũndũ marĩa matangenagia.”
5 Hear the word of Yahweh, ye who care anxiously for his word: Said your brethren Who hated you. Who thrust you out for my Name’s sake, Yahweh be glorified! Therefore shall he appear to your rejoicing, But, they, shall turn pale.
Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ mũinainaga nĩ gũtĩĩa kiugo gĩake, ta iguai ndũmĩrĩri ya Jehova: “Ariũ a thoguo arĩa mamũthũire, na makamũingata nĩ ũndũ wa rĩĩtwa rĩakwa, moigĩte atĩrĩ, ‘Jehova ta nĩagĩkumio nĩguo tũkĩone gĩkeno kĩanyu!’ No rĩrĩ, o nĩmagaconorithio.
6 The sound of a tumult—out of the city, A sound, out of the temple, —The sound of Yahweh rendering recompense to his foes.
Ta iguai mbugĩrĩrio ĩyo ĩroima kũu itũũra rĩrĩa inene, mũigue inegene rĩu rĩroima kũu hekarũ-inĩ! Ũcio nĩ mũgambo wa Jehova mũraigua akĩrĩha thũ ciake kĩrĩa kĩmagĩrĩire.
7 Before she travaileth, she hath brought forth, —Before her pains come to her, she hath given birth to a man-child!
“Atanambĩrĩria kũrũmwo-rĩ, nĩaciarĩte: na ataanarũmwo nĩ ruo-rĩ, agagĩciara mwana wa kahĩĩ.
8 Who hath heard the like of this? Who hath seen the like of these things? Can a land, be made to bring forth in one day? Or a nation, be born, at one time? As soon as she travaileth, Zion hath also given birth to her children.
Nũũ ũrĩ aigua ũndũ ta ũcio? Nũũ ũrĩ wona maũndũ ta macio? Anga bũrũri wakĩhota gũciarĩrwo andũ aguo mũthenya o ro ũmwe, o na kana rũrĩrĩ rũkĩigane o ro rĩmwe? No rĩrĩ, o rĩrĩa Zayuni yanyiitirwo nĩ ruo-rĩ, o hĩndĩ ĩyo nĩguo yaciarire ciana ciayo o ro rĩmwe.
9 Could, I, bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? saith Yahweh. Or, I, be causing to bring forth and then prevent? Saith thy God.
Anga no nginyie ihinda rĩa mwana gũciarwo na ndikĩreke aciarwo?” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekũũria. “Anga no hingĩrĩrie mwana nda nginyĩtie ihinda rĩake rĩa gũciarwo?” ũguo nĩguo Ngai wanyu ekũũria.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and exult over her All ye who love her, —Joy with her right joyfully, All ye who used to mourn over her:
“Inyuĩ inyuothe arĩa mwendete itũũra rĩa Jerusalemu, kenanĩrai narĩo na mũcanjamũke nĩ ũndũ warĩo; kenanĩrai mũno narĩo, inyuĩ inyuothe arĩa mũtũire mũrĩcakayagĩra.
11 That ye may draw to satisfaction out of the fountain of her consolations, —That ye may drain out and get exquisite delight from the abundance of her glory.
Nĩgeetha mũhaane ta andũ mongete maũndũ mega marĩo, mũkahũũna mũhooreire nyondo-inĩ ciake; ningĩ mũnyuuage mũkanyootoka, na mũkenagĩre ũingĩ wa iria rĩake.”
12 For, thus, saith Yahweh, —Behold me! extending unto her like a river, prosperity, And as a torrent o’erflowing, the glory of the nations. That ye may draw it forth—Upon the side, shall ye be carried, and Upon the knees, shall ye be caressed:
Nĩgũkorwo ũũ nĩguo Jehova ekuuga: “Nĩngakinyĩria itũũra rĩa Jerusalemu thayũ ũhaana ta rũũĩ, na ũtonga wa ndũrĩrĩ ũhaana taarĩ rũũĩ rũiyũrĩte rũkoina; mũkahoorera ta kaana gakĩongithio nĩ nyina, mũgaakuuo na moko make, na mũcũgacũgagio mũrĩ maru-inĩ make.
13 As one whom, his mother, consoleth, So, will, I, console you, And in Jerusalem, shall ye be consoled.
O ta ũrĩa mwana ahooreragio nĩ nyina, ũguo noguo ngaamũhooreria; na nĩmũkahoorerio mũrĩ kũu Jerusalemu.”
14 As soon as ye have seen it, your heart, shall be joyful, And your bones, like green herbage, shall thrive, —So shall be known The hand of Yahweh with his servants, But indignation with his foes!
Rĩrĩa mũkoona ũndũ ũcio, ngoro cianyu nĩigakena, nawe ũrirũke ta nyeki nduru; naguo hinya wa guoko kwa Jehova nĩũkamenyeka nĩ ndungata ciake, no marakara make nĩmakamenyeka nĩ thũ ciake.
15 For lo! Yahweh, with fire, doth come, And like a storm-wind, [are] his chariots, —To render with fury, his anger, And his rebuke with flames of fire.
Atĩrĩrĩ, Jehova arooka arĩ na mwaki, na ngaari ciake cia ita ihaana ta kĩhuhũkanio kĩnene; akaamũikũrũkĩria marakara make arĩ na mangʼũrĩ, na amũkũũme na ikũũmana rĩhaana ta nĩnĩmbĩ cia mwaki.
16 For, by fire, will Yahweh enter into judgment, And by his sword, with all flesh, —And many shall be the slain of Yahweh.
Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩagatuĩra andũ othe ciira, arĩ na mwaki na rũhiũ rwake rwa njora, na arĩa makooragwo nĩ Jehova magaakorwo marĩ aingĩ.
17 They who hallow themselves and purify themselves for the gardens, Behind a certain thing in the midst, Who eat the flesh of swine and the abomination, and the mouse, Together, shall be cut off—Declareth Yahweh.
“Na rĩrĩ, andũ arĩa meamũrĩte na magetheria nĩguo mathiĩ marũmĩrĩire ũrĩa ũrĩ gatagatĩ nĩguo makinye magongona-inĩ marĩa marutagĩrwo mĩgũnda-inĩ, o acio marĩĩaga nyama cia ngũrwe na mbĩa, na indo ingĩ irĩ thaahu, magaathiranĩra hamwe,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
18 Because, I, …for their works and their devices, doth it come! …Am about to gather together all nations and tongues, —So shall they come and see my glory.
“Na niĩ-rĩ, tondũ wa ciĩko ciao na mecũũrania mao, ngirie gũũka njookanĩrĩrie ndũrĩrĩ ciothe o na andũ a mĩario yothe, nao nĩmagooka meyonere riiri wakwa.
19 Then will I set among them, a sign, And will send, of them such as have escaped unto the nations—Tarshish Pul and Lud that draw the bow, Tubal and Javan, —The Coastlands that are afar off, Who have not heard my fame Nor seen my glory, And they shall tell my glory throughout the nations.
“Nĩngekĩra kĩmenyithia thĩinĩ wao, na amwe a arĩa makaahonoka nĩngamatũma mathiĩ ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ: mathiĩ Tarishishi, na mathiĩ Putu na Ludu kũrĩ andũ arĩa me ngumo ya gũikia mĩguĩ, na mathiĩ Tubali na Javani, na mathiĩ kũrĩ andũ arĩa matũũraga icigĩrĩra-inĩ cia kũndũ kũraya, kũrĩa gũtarĩ kwaiguuo ngumo yakwa, kana gũkonwo riiri wakwa. Nĩmakahunjia ũhoro wa riiri wakwa kũrĩ andũ a ndũrĩrĩ.
20 Then shall they bring in all your brethren out of all the nations, As a present unto Yahweh, Upon horses and in chariots and in palanquins and on mules and on dromedaries Unto my holy mountain—Jerusalem, saith Yahweh, —Just as the sons of Israel, bring in their present in a pure vessel, into the house, of Yahweh.
Nao nĩmakarehe ariũ a thoguo othe, kuuma ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ ciothe, marehwo makuuĩtwo nĩ mbarathi, na ngaari cia ita, na makaari ma kũguucio, na mahaicĩte nyũmbũ na ngamĩĩra, moke kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩakwa kĩrĩa kĩamũre kũu Jerusalemu, matuĩke ta igongona harĩ Jehova,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga. “Nao magaacirehe o ta ũrĩa andũ a Isiraeli marehaga ngano yao ya maruta kũu hekarũ-inĩ ya Jehova ĩkuuĩtwo na indo iria itarĩ thaahu.
21 And of them also, will I take for priests—for Levites, saith Yahweh,
Na niĩ nĩngathuura amwe ao matuĩke athĩnjĩri-Ngai na Alawii,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
22 For, as the new heavens and the new earth, which I am about to make, are to remain before me, Declareth Yahweh, So, shall remain your seed and your name.
Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ, “O ta ũrĩa igũrũ rĩu rĩerũ na thĩ njerũ iria ngũthondeka igatũũra mbere yakwa-rĩ, ũguo noguo rĩĩtwa rĩaku na njiaro ciaku irĩtũũraga.
23 And it shall come to pass, that From one new moon to another, and From one sabbath to another, Shall all flesh, come in, to bow down before me, Saith Yahweh.
Kuuma Karũgamo ka Mweri ũmwe nginya Karũgamo ka Mweri ũrĩa ũngĩ, na kuuma Thabatũ ĩmwe nginya Thabatũ ĩrĩa ĩngĩ, andũ othe nĩmagookaga kũhooya mainamĩrĩire mbere yakwa,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
24 Then shall they go forth and look upon the dead bodies of the men who had been trespassing against me—For, their worm, shall not die, And, their fire, shall not be quenched; So shall they become an abhorrence to all flesh.
“Nao nĩmakoimagara makerorere ciimba cia andũ arĩa maanemeire; nĩ ũndũ igunyũ ciao itigakua, o na kana mwaki ũrĩa wa kũmacina ũhore, nao nĩmagatuĩka ta kĩndũ gĩthũirwo mũno nĩ andũ othe.”
