Isaiah 62
1 For Zion’s sake, will I not hold my peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake, will I not rest, —Until her righteousness, go forth as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that is lighted.
Um Zions willen will ich nicht schweigen, und um Jerusalems willen will ich nicht still sein, bis ihre Gerechtigkeit hervorbricht wie Lichtglanz und ihr Heil wie eine lodernde Fackel.
2 So shall nations see thy righteousness, And all kings, thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, which, the mouth of Yahweh, will name.
Und die Nationen werden deine Gerechtigkeit sehen, und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit; und du wirst mit einem neuen Namen genannt werden, welchen der Mund Jehovas bestimmen wird.
3 Then shalt thou become—A crown of adorning, in the hand of Yahweh, and A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Und du wirst eine prachtvolle Krone sein in der Hand Jehovas und ein königliches Diadem in der Hand deines Gottes.
4 Thou shalt he termed no longer—Forsaken Nor shall thy land be termed any longer A desolation, But, thou, shalt be called Hephzibah ["My delight is in her"], And, thy land, Beulah ["married"], —For Yahweh hath found delight in thee, And thy land, shall be married.
Nicht mehr wird man dich “Verlassene” heißen, und dein Land nicht mehr “Wüste” heißen; sondern man wird dich nennen “meine Lust an ihr”, und dein Land “Vermählte”; denn Jehova wird Lust an dir haben, und dein Land wird vermählt werden.
5 For a young man marrieth, a virgin, Thy sons marry thee! And the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride—Thy God, rejoiceth over thee.
Denn wie der Jüngling sich mit der Jungfrau vermählt, so werden deine Kinder sich mit dir vermählen; und wie der Bräutigam sich an der Braut erfreut, so wird dein Gott sich an dir erfreuen.
6 Upon thy walls O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, All the day and all the night through, let them not hold their peace, —O ye that put Yahweh in mind, Do not take rest to yourselves,
Auf deine Mauern, Jerusalem, habe ich Wächter bestellt; den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht werden sie keinen Augenblick schweigen. Ihr, die ihr Jehova erinnert, gönnet euch keine Ruhe
7 Neither give rest, unto him, Until he establish and until he set forth Jerusalem as a praise in the earth!
und laßt ihm keine Ruhe, bis er Jerusalem befestigt und bis er es zum Ruhme macht auf Erden! -
8 Sworn hath Yahweh—By his own right hand, and By his own strong arm, —Surely I will give thy corn no more, as food to thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the foreigner drink thy new wine, for which thou hast toiled;
Jehova hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei seinem starken Arm: Wenn ich fortan deinen Feinden dein Korn zur Speise gebe, und wenn Söhne der Fremde deinen Most trinken werden, um welchen du dich abgemüht hast!
9 But they who have garnered it, shall eat it, and praise Yahweh, —And they who have gathered in its clusters, shall drink it in my holy courts.
Sondern die es einsammeln, sollen es essen und Jehova preisen; und die ihn einbringen, sollen ihn trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.
10 Pass ye through pass ye through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, —Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it of stones, Lift ye high a standard unto the peoples.
Ziehet, ziehet durch die Tore, bereitet den Weg des Volkes; bahnet, bahnet die Straße, reiniget sie von Steinen; erhebet ein Panier über die Völker!
11 Lo! Yahweh, hath sent a message unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy Salvation, is coming, —Lo! his reward, is with him, And, his recompense, before him:
Siehe, Jehova hat eine Kunde erschallen lassen nach dem Ende der Erde hin: Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein Heil kommt; siehe sein Lohn ist bei ihm, und seine Vergeltung geht vor ihm her.
12 So shall men call them—The holy people The redeemed of Yahweh, —And, thou, shalt be called—Sought out, A city not forsaken,
Und man wird sie nennen: das heilige Volk, die Erlösten Jehovas; und dich wird man nennen: die Gesuchte, Stadt, die nicht mehr verlassen wird.
