Isaiah 57
1 The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart—Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.
| انسانهای خوب، دیده از جهان فرو می‌بندند و اشخاص خداشناس پیش از وقت می‌میرند و کسی نیست که در این باره فکر کند و دلیل این امر را بفهمد. ایشان می‌میرند تا از مصیبتی که در راه است نجات یابند. |
2 He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, —Each one who went on a straight path.
| هنگامی که خداشناسان می‌میرند، از آرامش برخوردار می‌شوند و استراحت می‌یابند. |
3 But, ye, …draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, —Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!
| و اما شما ای بدکاران، جلو بیایید! ای اولاد جادوگران و زناکاران، نزدیک بیایید! |
4 Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, —Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.
| شما چه کسی را مسخره می‌کنید؟ به چه کسی دهن کجی می‌کنید؟ ای آدمهای گناهکار و دروغگو، شما همان اشخاصی هستید که زیر سایهٔ درختان زنا می‌کنید و در دره‌ها و زیر شکاف صخره‌های بلند فرزندان خود را برای بتها قربانی می‌کنید. |
5 Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree—Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:
6 Among the smooth stones of the torrent—valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?
| سنگهای صاف را از میان دره‌ها بر می‌دارید و آنها را چون خدا می‌پرستید و هدایای گوناگون به آنها تقدیم می‌کنید. آیا فکر می‌کنید این رفتارتان خدا را خشنود می‌کند؟ |
7 On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, —Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;
| به کوههای بلند می‌روید تا در آنجا زنا کنید و برای بتهایتان قربانی کنید. |
8 And behind the door and the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up—Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;
| شما بتهایتان را پشت درهای بسته قرار می‌دهید و آنها را می‌پرستید. این عمل شما زناکاری است، زیرا به جای اینکه خدا را دوست داشته باشید و عبادت کنید، به بتها عشق می‌ورزید و آنها را می‌پرستید. |
9 And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)
| با عطر و روغن به حضور بت «مولک» می‌روید تا آنها را تقدیمش کنید. به سفرهای دور و دراز می‌روید، حتی به جهنم هم پا می‌گذارید، تا شاید خدایان تازه‌ای بیابید و به آنها دل ببندید. (Sheol h7585) |
10 With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.
| از جستجوی خود خسته و درمانده می‌شوید، ولی دست برنمی‌دارید. به خود قوت قلب می‌دهید و پیش می‌روید. |
11 Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «این بتها چه هستند که از آنها می‌ترسید و به من خیانت می‌کنید؟ چرا مرا دیگر به یاد نمی‌آورید؟ آیا علّت اینکه از من نمی‌ترسید این نیست که سکوت کرده‌ام و چیزی نگفته‌ام؟ |
12 I, will expose thy righteousness, —And thy works—but they will not profit thee!
| شما فکر می‌کنید کار درستی انجام می‌دهید، ولی وقتی من کارهای زشت شما را برملا سازم، آنگاه بتهای شما نیز قادر نخواهند بود شما را یاری دهند. |
13 When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up—A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.
| از دست این بتهایی که برای خود جمع کرده‌اید کاری ساخته نیست و آنها به فریاد شما نخواهند رسید؛ آنها به قدری ضعیفند که یک وزش باد می‌تواند آنها را از جا برکند و با خود ببرد. اما بدانید کسانی که به من توکل دارند مالک زمین و وارث کوه مقدّس من خواهند شد.» |
14 And one said—Cast ye up—cast ye up, prepare ye a way, —Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.
| خداوند می‌گوید: «قوم من به سوی من باز می‌گردند! پس راه را آماده سازید و سنگها و موانع را از سر راه بردارید.» |
15 For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed; —
| خدای متعال و مقدّس که تا ابد زنده است، چنین می‌گوید: «من در مکانهای بلند و مقدّس ساکنم و نیز در وجود کسی که روحی متواضع و توبه‌کار دارد، تا دل او را زنده سازم و نیرویی تازه به او بخشم. |
16 For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, —For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.
| من تا ابد شما را محکوم نخواهم کرد و بر شما خشمگین نخواهم ماند، زیرا اگر چنین کنم تمام جانهایی که آفریده‌ام از بین خواهند رفت. |
17 Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth—and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, —But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.
| من به علّت طمعکاری شما غضبناک شدم و تنبیه‌تان کردم و شما را ترک گفتم. اما شما راه خود را ادامه دادید و از آن دست نکشیدید. |
18 His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, —And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:
| کارهای شما را می‌بینم، اما با وجود این شما را شفا خواهم داد. شما را هدایت خواهم کرد و تسلی خواهم داد. به شما کمک خواهم کرد تا برای گناهانتان ماتم بگیرید و به آنها اعتراف کنید. |
19 Creating the fruit of the lips—Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.
| همهٔ مردم از سلامتی برخوردار خواهند شد چه آنانی که دورند و چه آنانی که نزدیکند؛ زیرا من ایشان را شفا خواهم بخشید. |
20 But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, —For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.
| اما شریران مانند دریای متلاطمی هستند که هرگز آرام نمی‌گیرد، بلکه همیشه گل و لجن بالا می‌آورد. |
21 No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!
| برای شریران سلامتی و آرامش وجود ندارد.» این است آنچه خداوند می‌فرماید. |
