Isaiah 57

1 The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart—Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.

۱ مرد عادل تلف شد و کسی نیست که این را در دل خود بگذراند و مردان روف برداشته شدند و کسی فکر نمی کند که عادلان ازمعرض بلا برداشته می‌شوند.

2 He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, —Each one who went on a straight path.

۲ آنانی که به استقامت سالک می‌باشند بسلامتی داخل شده، بربسترهای خویش آرامی خواهند یافت.

3 But, ye, …draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, —Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!

۳ و اماشما‌ای پسران ساحره و اولاد فاسق و زانیه به اینجا نزدیک آیید!

4 Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, —Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.

۴ بر که تمسخر می‌کنید و برکه دهان خود را باز می‌کنید و زبان را درازمی نمایید؟ آیا شما اولاد عصیان و ذریت کذب نیستید

5 Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree—Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:

۵ که در میان بلوطها و زیر هر درخت سبزخویشتن را به حرارت می‌آورید و اطفال را دروادیها زیر شکاف صخره‌ها ذبح می‌نمایید؟

6 Among the smooth stones of the torrent—valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?

۶ در میان سنگهای ملسای وادی نصیب تواست همینها قسمت تو می‌باشد. برای آنها نیزهدیه ریختنی ریختی و هدیه آردی گذرانیدی آیا من از اینها تسلی خواهم یافت؟

7 On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, —Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;

۷ بر کوه بلند ورفیع بستر خود را گستردی و به آنجا نیز برآمده، قربانی گذرانیدی.

8 And behind the door and the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up—Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;

۸ و پشت درها و باهوها یادگارخود را واگذاشتی زیرا که خود را به کسی دیگرغیر از من مکشوف ساختی و برآمده، بستر خودرا پهن کردی و درمیان خود و ایشان عهد بسته، بستر ایشان را دوست داشتی جایی که آن رادیدی.

9 And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)

۹ و با روغن در حضور پادشاه رفته، عطریات خود را بسیار کردی و رسولان خود رابجای دور فرستاده، خویشتن را تا به هاویه پست گردانیدی. (Sheol h7585)

10 With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.

۱۰ از طولانی بودن راه درمانده شدی اما نگفتی که امید نیست. تازگی قوت خود رایافتی پس از این جهت ضعف بهم نرسانیدی.

11 Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?

۱۱ از که ترسان و هراسان شدی که خیانت ورزیدی و مرا بیاد نیاورده، این را در دل خود جاندادی؟ آیا من از زمان قدیم نیز ساکت نماندم پس از این جهت از من نترسیدی؟

12 I, will expose thy righteousness, —And thy works—but they will not profit thee!

۱۲ من عدالت واعمال تو را بیان خواهم نمود که تو را منفعت نخواهد داد.

13 When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up—A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.

۱۳ چون فریاد برمی آوری اندوخته های خودت تو را خلاصی بدهد و لکن باد جمیع آنها را خواهد برداشت و نفس آنها راخواهد برد. اما هر‌که بر من توکل دارد مالک زمین خواهد بود و وارث جبل قدس من خواهد گردید.

14 And one said—Cast ye up—cast ye up, prepare ye a way, —Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.

۱۴ و گفته خواهد شد برافرازید! راه را برافرازید ومهیا سازید! و سنگ مصادم را از طریق قوم من بردارید!

15 For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed; —

۱۵ زیرا او که عالی و بلند است و ساکن درابدیت می‌باشد و اسم او قدوس است چنین می‌گوید: «من در مکان عالی و مقدس ساکنم و نیزبا کسی‌که روح افسرده و متواضع دارد. تا روح متواضعان را احیا نمایم و دل افسردگان را زنده سازم.

16 For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, —For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.

۱۶ زیرا که تا به ابد مخاصمه نخواهم نمودو همیشه خشم نخواهم کرد مبادا روحها وجانهایی که من آفریدم به حضور من ضعف به هم رسانند.

17 Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth—and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, —But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.

۱۷ به‌سبب گناه طمع وی غضبناک شده، او را زدم و خود را مخفی ساخته، خشم نمودم و او به راه دل خود رو گردانیده، برفت.

18 His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, —And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:

۱۸ طریق های او را دیدم و او را شفا خواهم داد واو را هدایت نموده، به او و به آنانی که با وی ماتم گیرند تسلی بسیار خواهم داد.»

19 Creating the fruit of the lips—Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.

۱۹ خداوند که آفریننده ثمره لبها است می‌گوید: «بر آنانی که دورند سلامتی باد و بر آنانی که نزدیکند سلامتی باد و من ایشان را شفا خواهم بخشید.»

20 But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, —For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.

۲۰ اماشریران مثل دریای متلاطم که نمی تواند آرام گیرد و آبهایش گل و لجن برمی اندازد می‌باشند.

21 No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!

۲۱ خدای من می‌گوید که شریران را سلامتی نیست.
