Isaiah 57
1 The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart—Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.
੧ਧਰਮੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ, ਭਗਤ ਲੋਕ ਲੈ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਧਰਮੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਸਕੇ।
2 He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, —Each one who went on a straight path.
੨ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
3 But, ye, …draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, —Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!
੩ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਐਥੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਓ, ਹੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਨੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ, ਵਿਭਚਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼!
4 Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, —Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.
੪ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਅੱਡਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਭ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ, ਅਤੇ ਧੋਖੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ?
5 Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree—Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:
੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਲੂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹਰੇਕ ਹਰੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਘਾਟੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਰਾਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਦੇ ਹੋ!
6 Among the smooth stones of the torrent—valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?
੬ਘਾਟੀ ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਇਹੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਗ ਹੈ! ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਡੋਲ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਰਹਾਂ?
7 On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, —Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;
੭ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਸਤਰ ਵਿਛਾਇਆ, ਉੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਵੀ ਗਈ।
8 And behind the door and the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up—Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;
੮ਬੂਹਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਚੁਗਾਠਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਸਤਰਾ ਚੌੜਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ, ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਟੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ!
9 And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, —And hast sent thy messengers afar, And…lowered thyself as far as hades! (Sheol h7585)
੯ਤੂੰ ਤੇਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਲਕ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕੋਲ ਗਈ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਗੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚੋਲੇ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਘੱਲੇ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ! (Sheol h7585)
10 With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.
੧੦ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫ਼ਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਥੱਕ ਗਈ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਨ ਆਈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਥੱਕੀ।
11 Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?
੧੧ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਐਨਾ ਸਹਿਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਰੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਚੁੱਪ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ? ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰੀ।
12 I, will expose thy righteousness, —And thy works—but they will not profit thee!
੧੨ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਲਾਭ ਨਾ ਪੁਚਾਉਣਗੇ।
13 When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up—A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.
੧੩ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਚਿੱਲਾਏਂ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੋਲਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਵੇ। ਪਰ ਹਵਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਫੂਕ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਉੱਡ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
14 And one said—Cast ye up—cast ye up, prepare ye a way, —Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.
੧੪ਤਦ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਭਰਤੀ ਪਾਓ, ਭਰਤੀ! ਰਾਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਚੁੱਕ ਸੁੱਟੋ!
15 For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed; —
੧੫ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਕੁਚਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਨ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਦੀਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਚਲਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਕਰਾਂ।
16 For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, —For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.
੧੬ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਨਾ ਝਗੜਾਂਗਾ, ਨਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਢਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
17 Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth—and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, —But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.
੧੭ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਭ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ, ਪਰ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਗਏ।
18 His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, —And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:
੧੮ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵੇਖੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀਆਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਗਾ।
19 Creating the fruit of the lips—Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.
੧੯ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਸਤਤ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਦੂਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
20 But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, —For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.
੨੦ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਛਲਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਚੈਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਦ ਉਛਾਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
21 No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!
੨੧ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
